  1. Like a genie freed from his lamp, the premier perks activation for the week of BZP's anniversary have allowed me to come forth and blog once again! Perhaps this shall be a more fruitful week than last year's, but you never know! What if I have nothing useful to write about? What if I suddenly fall off the face of the Internet this week? Such are the worries that keep strong, basement-dwelling men and women awake at night. This first entry is just a re-introduction, I suppose. Tonight, I plan to dine on some fine Popeye's chicken whilst assembling my recently-acquired Load N' Haul Railroad (MISB from 1992!). I'll finish redecorating my parents' basement tomorrow. Have to wait for that big-boy paycheck to come through, anyway, before I make the big renovations! Stay tuned!

    Skull Scorpio

Skull Scorpio has a hidden power so great we should all fire it You see, Skull Grinder grinds things. Skull Basher bashes things. Skull Slicer slices things, and by the way it makes a great chef. Skull Warrior... wars... things and is a great war... warrior. Notice how they all do what the second word of their name suggests. Skull Scorpio... shoots Scorpions. It shoots scorpions out of its tail, out of its claws, and out of its face. Because it's Skull Scorpio. Scorpions... have stingers. And claws. Don't forget the claws. These stingers... can kill. So the next time you see a Skull Scorpio, you better respect it, you understand? It can kill you with scorpions.
  3. Long ago on the mythical island of Okoto, the villagers were guarded by a mysterious being, older than time itself. He was known as the Protector of Life, as no inhabitant of the island knew his real name. The watchful sentinel resided in the mountainous terrain of the region of ice, his cavern like home filled with strange artifacts like none other found on Okoto. He has not been heard from since long before Ekimu was put to sleep, the mantle of 'Protector' becoming a tradition for the villagers to honor him. --- Gallery when public. -- Hey there! This is a moc I just recently created using a G2 Kopaka and various other parts from my collection. It's also sort of a self moc. The idea behind this creation, as you may have guessed from the lore-blurb at the top, is that Matoro from some version of the G1 universe ended up traveling through the different dimensions before ending up on Okoto. So join me as I take you through some of my design processes and ideas. Front View The torso is essentially a G2 Kopaka torso [Mostly cause i'm super bad at custom torsos and limbs.] with different armoring, and the main inspiration for the armor silhouette was a very knightly, almost MMO Paladin style armor with the very large, drooping shoulder pads. I decided to use the Matoro Inika mask and head because of two reasons, one - I'm actually a pretty big fan of how the Matoro Inika mask looks, and two, I couldn't figure out a reliable way to get a metru / mata head onto a CCBS torso without using rubberbands. Side View Not much to say about the side view, other than that I chose to use the old Y joint style hands because to me, they scream 'BIONICLE' when I see them. Back View The back view shows off that Kopaka's gear function is still active and functional, and also shows more of the bulky, tank type armoring. I decided to use the Inika Matoro feet mostly because I personally liked how they covered the back. Sword Pose So for the sword I wanted to make a weapon that wasn't silver, although I originally did toy with using Matoro Inika's blade. I eventually settled on this double edged sword using Pridak's feet, which I think have always looked good as a sword. Winter is coming. The MOC's arms and sword were specifically designed to be able to pull this pose off, and I'm glad it worked. Cave of Relics. Setting up a cave display for him was fun, and it is in no way done, but placing a bunch of stuff that he might have found around different dimensions was fun, almost a trophy hall sort of deal. -- Thanks for looking at my MOC! Feel free to comment if you want.
  4. Given how most of the characters of Okoto have dull names like 'Protector of FIre', with only Ekimu, Makuta, and Kulta (Skull Grinder) being the only non-Toa with names, I'm going to be assuming that names are earned on Okoto, not simply given, and that it is very disrespectful on Okoto to name yourself without consulting whoever is in the leading positions first. Ekimu and Makuta earned their names through mask-making. Kulta named themself, and dishonoured the people of Okoto by doing so. As a result, Kulta was cursed to live forever, beyond death, and is now literally a bitter skeleton of their former self. The Toa were already named because of prophecies. The Protectors, on the other hand, are referred to as whatever element they're supposed to protect. Protector of Fire would be referred to as 'Fire', as it is both a title and a name, and also because saying Protector every time is a bit of a mouthful. Being a Protector is a big deal because they're the main defence for the region they inhabit when Toa aren't around to save them. Names on Okoto are very sparse. To have one indicates a lot of prestige and honour, or, in the worst case, a curse and dishonour. In extremely rare cases, it can mean both, as with Makuta. Honoured for Mask-Making, dishonoured for the whole Ekimu thing. At least this is my explanation for the lack of names on Okoto.

    Skull Warrior

Skull Warrior came in the mail today. Gear function doesn't work that well with the bow (well DUH). The new armour add-on piece honestly doesn't look that good in the way it attaches. It looks kind of awkward compared to the piston piece and the round/square HF add-on pieces, it doesn't really try to cover up the area where it attaches. Still, it's by far the largest shell add-on piece we have yet and looks good as long as you don't look at it from the side. Believe it or not, but shells can fit, albeit very loosely, on the bone piece, as long as it's on the side where you can see the 'slit' in the bones, the hole. Not the side where you can't see the 'slit', as it's thinner. Transparent Blue and Transparent Orange go together better than you'd think, contrasting very well with each other. The new torso shell's upper part is a bit disappointing, as it looks awkward without the 'breastplate' add-on thanks to the awkwardly tiny 'ribs' at the very top that are obscured by the aforementioned 'breastplate' add-on. The new blade piece is thinner than you'd might expect, both from the side and from the front. Skull Warrior does have some problems standing, thanks to the weight the bow/gearbox add, which is sort of negated by the claws on the feet, but not quite. Unlike the spear, the bow doesn't really have a place where it can be mounted on the back. Unless the bow's meant to go where the bow is, but I have no idea how the bow'd connect without looking awkward.
  6. I think the Skull Bonkle commercial had a hidden story to it, so I decided to give you my interpretation of it. --- SKULL SKELETONS: Do you think we should hep the big skeleton thing that just revived us? SKULL SKELETONS: No, not really. SKULL SKELETONS TURN TO DUST AS SKULL GRINDER IS DEFEATED BY TAHU WITH ONE BLOW IN SKULL GRINDER'S WEAK SPOT FOR 999,999,999 DAMAGE! MEANWHILE TOA: Should we help Tahu? TOA: Nah, we hate him. He's full of himself, let's watch him get defeated and get his comeuppance. TAHU DEFEATS SKULL GRINDER WITH ONE BLOW IN SKULL GRINDER'S WEAK SPOT FOR 999,999,999 DAMAGE! TOA: ... TAHU: I am the best Toa in all of existence! Now, I demand you all paint yourselves red and swear total allegiance to me because I'm awesome. We awaken Ekimu this day! MUCH LATER SKULL SCORPIO shows up to the scene of the battle - more accurately, the aftermath. SKULL SCORPIO: *curses loudly in skeleton language* SKULL SCORPIO crumbles to dust, since it has only just realised the Skull Skeletons lost the crucial battle against the Toa who seek to awaken the evil spirit of Ekimu. AND SO, OKOTO SLOWLY SANK INTO THE SEA AS PER EKIMU'S WISHES, REVEALING THE GIANT ROBOT THAT SLEPT UNDERNEATH. THE GIANT DEATH ROBOT, THAT SOUGHT TO DESTROY THE PLANET. GOOD JOB, TOA 'HEROES'.
  7. After criticism that 'The First Question' was too much like being interrogated, I decided for a lighter, more relaxing approach. If generation 2 bonkles have shells does that mean they're snails or turtles? If you take them off does that make them... skull skeletons?
  8. QUESTION ONE WHAT IS YOUR OPINION ON LEGO'S HANDLING OF THE SECOND GENERATION OF BIONICLE, WHEN COMPARED TO LEGO'S HANDLING OF THE FIRST GENERATION OF BIONICLE?
  9. Front Side Back Adrenalin Mode Skate Detail A MOC for my friend Susannah, who celebrated her birthday a little over a week ago. It's a G2 version of her original BIONICLE character, which I have been working on for most of this year. Building a Toa with the same level of elegance, uniqueness, and functionality as the official Toa sets this year was a real challenge, and although I still wish I could have somehow worked additional mechanical details into the figure and weapon design, I'm happy to call this model finished. She wears the Mask of Ice and carries a pair of ice axes. In adrenalin mode, each one splits into a touring skate and an icicle dagger. Without skates, she stands 24 modules high (7.5 inches/19.2 centimeters). Comments, questions, and criticism are welcome!
  10. Before I get started on the legend-y stuff, I'd like to give a word about this creation. I recently acquired the Protector of Earth and the Protector of Water. This creation is built exclusively with pieces from those two sets. If anyone asks, and I am in the mood, I may post instructions for this built. I only left out a skull spider mask, a few red pins, a couple small black ones, and a brain. All other pieces have been used. I'm really quite happy with how this guy turned. So much so that I invented a legend behind him. Long ago, in the Time before Time on the mythical island of Okoto, legend speaks of the Guardians. Eons before the two mask makers, Ekimu and Makuta, set forth on the island to bring the three virtues, the island lay in chaos. Strange creatures bearing elemental powers tormented the defenseless villagers. To defend themselves, the wisest of the six tribes chanted a potent spell, engineering a combination between villager and beast. These new half-breeds they called the Guardians, for the Order of Protectors had not yet been formed. A hundred of these beings were formed, and their elemental power and brute force drove the creatures into hiding beneath the earth and in the deepest forests. The villagers rejoiced, thinking they were safe. They celebrated too soon. The Guardians, programmed to defend could not acknowledge a time of peace. Thus, they enlisted the wisest villagers to engineer weapons of mass destruction from the island's elemental forces. With these, the Guardians began to lord it over the villagers they once defended. They built a great fortress at the center of the Okoto, from which they ruled the island. The enslaved villagers cried out under the whips of the Guardians. From across the sea, their call was answered. The two brothers, Ekimu and Makuta came bearing the great masks of Creation and Control, from which they forged the elemental masks. The villagers, equipped with their new powers, overturned the citadel of the Guardians, burying them deep beneath the rubble. Above the ruins, the Mask Maker's built their own metropolis above the fortress, from which they forged the Great Masks. From the six wisest villagers, they formed the Order of Protectors, to whom they entrusted six masks of special power. “When times are dark,” they said, “Gather at the Temple of Time to call forth six heros from the stars. Until then, hide these masks far away where no one could ever find them.” The Protectors returned to their home regions and did as they had been instructed. What they did not count on, however, was that something would be coming to look for them I hope you all enjoyed that. Those of you who were able to watch the 9th episode will see where I was going with this. I really like what I did with the feet. Thanks to Nescent and his awesome use of Protector masks in his Wildlife of Okoto thread inspired me. Check it out here: http://www.bzpower.com/board/topic/17041-wildlife-of-okoto/ I plan on making some more of these combiners as I acquire the rest of the Protectors. In the meantime, stay cool.

To be honest I found Pohatu's set a bit underwhelming, and I only bought him to revamp him. But now I think he looks a lot better. The biggest change as you can see here was the addition of size 4 tan shells. I am debating whether or not to keep the tan torso, he might have actually have TOO much color now. I also swapped out the Guurahk staff for a Mahri blade, as I felt its shape was more appropriate for a dagger. In comparison the Guurahk staff looks more like a fork. Pohatu is also a lot more symmetrical now, though I kept the single shoulder pauldron. Also I considered moving his shin guards onto his feet to imitate his g1 feet additions, but it would really only work if his feet were in a color other than silver.

Finally a use for those exposed ball joints on the torso! Also added some friction joints because the extra arms made her top-heavy.
  13. Why is there no use of the word 'matoran' to refer to the villagers in the setting? I can understand not using turaga to describe the protectors, but matoran was an original word and strongly associated with the setting. I can see no reason for it not to be included. Does anybody know why or even have an idea?
  14. Imagine this hypothetical scenario; you've just been hired by LEGO to write a new storyline for their upcoming reboot of BIONICLE. You've read their little summary of the previous generation and you think to yourself "say, this story had a cliffhanger. Let's fix that!" Then LEGO gives you a small list of constraints. Actually, it's just one constraint. Note from corporate; cannot be a continuation of G1. No GSR, no GBs, no SR. Doesn't have to murder G1 like an Aztec priest, but no direct connections. So, that's it. It's up to you to write an original storyline for G1 for the set designers to work around, but it must follow that constraint. Post your ideas here. ------------- As for me, I'd write something rather similar to what G2 actually ended up doing, with a few differences. Firstly, I'd make the elemental powers the Toa had be from their generic masks, and the Golden Masks give them their old Mata powers. Secondly, instead of Protectors, I'd have Elders named for the original Turaga and Guardians named for the original McToran. Finally, instead of fighting a skull spider, the story would have the Toa going up against Makuta for the 2015 storyline, with 2016 being the big confrontation. The problem is that, while Makuta looks evil, everything he's done has been done by an even greater evil. See, Ekimu wasn't as nice as we all thought, and was beginning to become ever more tyrannical, until he began creating a mask that would give him ultimate control of everyone on the island. To stop him, Makuta used the Mask of Ultimate Power to seal Ekimu away, but Ekimu was prepared and began trying to break through Makuta's seal, leading to the events of the stop. This would lead to a final showdown between the Toa (who have now been granted new Shadowmasks with new powers (Nuva, perhaps?)) Makuta and Ekimu's army of evil, wherein Makuta and Ekimu have a huge brawl until Makuta sacrifices himself to permanently seal Ekimu away. For good. Always. And no, no giant robot. Well, not that kind of giant robot. Maybe a mech created by Ekimu.
  15. There seems to be a conflict between the animations and the character bios regarding Gali's harpoon. First, let's refresh our memories about Gali's equipment. Gali's full bio can be found here. Elemental Trident (it's really a double-bitted battle axe with a trident-like thing on the bottom): In Gali's "adrenalin mode," the trident disassembles into the Harpoon and the Shark Fins. Harpoon (the one that I have a question about): Shark Fins: ... Does anyone else see the problems? Specifying that the harpoon is a land weapon implies that the Elemental Trident is used underwater. Doesn't that make the Shark Fins useless? The "Elemental Trident" is really a battle axe. Battle axes don't work underwater. Also, it's listed abilities (creating tidal waves and heavy rain) don't make much sense underwater either. If Gali uses the harpoon on land, where does she put the Shark Fins? (This is dealt with in her "Power Up" mode.) Harpoons are designed to strike and capture underwater targets. The animations clearly seen to agree with my analysis. Gali is first shown underwater, using her Harpoon and Shark Fins separately; she is later shown on land, using them as the "Elemental Trident." The only possible explanation for this that I can see (and it's really a stretch), is that the description for the Harpoon is referring to the "Power Up" mode. Here, the Shark Fins are combined with the Protector of Water's "Elemental Torpedo Baster" (I didn't make these names, folks), and the remaining harpoon is stored on her back. One could reasonably assume that the upgraded Elemental Blaster is her underwater weapon, and is switched with the harpoon when she fights on land. One could just as easily assume, however, that the website is wrong (and we certainly have precedent for that). I don't think we will have an answer until we actually see the combinations in story. What do you think?
  16. The thing I hate most about G2 is the complete lack of any backstory of the island. So far, the only story material we have are the brief blurbs on each Toa and Protector on Lego.com and the videos, which doesn't provide much. Of all of the villagers on all of Okoto, the only one with some hint of characterization is the Protector of Fire. This is precisely why everyone loves MNOLG so much. It gave a look into the lives of the everyday villagers, the ones who fished or sailed or sold or who could fight off the Rahi just fine without the Toa's help. The Toa weren't the only heroes of the story, fighting for some villagers smacked in only to have something to fight for. So I've been thinking about it a bit in my course of drawing and building characters. What exactly could this character's personality be like? Let's start with the Protectors. Of course, this is all my own headcanon and is in no way official, but until we get something clearer, I'm treating it as canon. Protectors: These elite villagers of Okoto are called to be guardians of their people and culture. Each Protector is chosen from the family of the previous, typically the first born, though special circumstances have occurred in the past. When the current Protector reaches a certain age, they select their successor and pass on their mask and weapons in a grand ceremony attended by the whole island. Their names are replaced by their title, a show of their commitment to leave their previous life and turn towards their people. Each mask was crafted from sacred materials by Ekimu himself, distinguishing them from the typical villager masks. Protector of Fire: One of the most experienced Protectors, the Protector of Fire has seen much of the world. He has been fighting for his village for decades, always looking for the time when the Masters would come to liberate them forever. He has searched every prophesy and is filled with much ancient wisdom. In battle, he is fierce and unrelenting. His large frame is surprisingly agile, able to twist around enemy blows, yet deliver punishing strikes with his swords, just like his element. His Mask of Fire was forged from crystals found in the heart of the Okoto volcanoes. It is rare to see one come to the surface of the lava, and rarer still to obtain it. It is said the very essence of fire is captured within those fractals, a power the Protector of Fire uses to great effect. His flame swords are mounted on swiveling handles, allowing him to twirl them around in combat to redouble the force of his strikes. A slow spin is usually enough to frighten away the creatures that lurk in the dark, but when Skull Spiders come to battle, they are met with the white-hot blades as they whirl in blazing tornadoes in his hands. Protector of Earth: The eldest of the current Protectors, the Protector of Earth is brash and loud. His rumbling voice is often heard echoing through the caverns of the Earth Region. Despite his... rough personality, his devotion to his people is unquestionable. He is always at the forefront of every battle, blasting away with his chest cannon or shredding through opponents with his drill. When the village is at peace, he can often be found in the mines, digging away alongside his fellows. The Protector of Earth's drill, armor, and mask are formed from the rarest of Okoto's gems, a hardy and lustrous purple stone found only in the deepest caverns. Some have questioned if they bury themselves there, pushing away from unworthy hands with powers of Earth. If his launcher ever runs out of energy, he has throwing knives in ready supply and has become quite adept at their use. Protector of Stone: Though rarely seen in his home village, his skills with his staff are not to be questioned. Since the current Protector of Stone was instated, not a single Skull Spider has been seen within the village boundaries, though occasionally a villager will stumble upon an old carcass, killed in one blow with his deadly accuracy. When he can be found, he barely speaks, and only then in a hoarse whisper. The Mask of Stone was forged from the purest sand caught in a rare phenomenon: arcs of pure energy that cut across the Stone Region's deserts. Perhaps it is caused by the heat, but many affirm it is some ancient magic of the land. His staff-mounted elemental sandstone blaster is effective at close and long range. The long energy prongs, formed of the same energy that created his mask, are able to slice through most substances, though he rarely needs to use them. Protector of Ice: No one expected her sudden calling to be the next Protector of Ice, least of all herself. Even before taking on the mantle, she was shy and unsure of herself. Her aim with anything was shaky, her carving skills were cringe-worthy, and she couldn't seem to manage to get anywhere without falling on the ice. Her new responsibility has helped little. Though her new weapons make things slightly easier, she can't help but feel she was the worst possible villager for the job. Perhaps her purpose will only be apparent in time. Truly, it is only her weapons that give her hope of success, for it is difficult to fail with enchanted ice at your side. Legends say the mask, ice blade, and shield appeared from the ice at Ekimu's approach. They are bitterly cold to the touch and show no signs of melting even after generations of use. Protector of Jungle: The fastest gal in the land; Brynn was known as a messenger long before she took up the title of Protector of Jungle. She knows half the island like the back of her hand, and the other half well enough to get a message to anyone. Some of the other Protectors claim she shirks her duty to her people in favor of exploring the island or socializing, but whenever there is an attack, the Protector of Jungle is always there, appearing as if from the jungle itself. Her Mask of Jungle is carved from the sacred wood of the Jungle Region's Spirit Trees. These great monoliths are said to twist the junglearound them, only allowing those who are worthy to approach. This same ability to control the greenery is contained in her mask, and its wise guidance whispers to her through the vines trailing from her form. Her bow, the weapon of every Protector of Jungle, at first appears to be merely a tangle of vines and thorns, but with the assistance of her power, it is able to fire straight and true with greater power than any crafted before or since. (Yes, this was inspired by Bynn the Breaker from Bastion, as well as gk733 on DA) Protector of Water: The newest of the current line of Protectors and by far the youngest. She almost seems too youthful and naive to possibly save anyone, but she has proven herself a prodigy in swimming and combat. Her new tools only enhance her already great skill. She would be a formidable force to reckon with if she could just stay focused. Far too many times she has swam off to explore the sea floor, only to return to find a battle had been fought and won without her. Though she is young, the people can only forgive her curiosity so many times. On closer inspection, one would find her seemingly solid mask ripples softly. Its entire shape is formed by water, held together by some unknown power. The villagers had watched Ekimu as he walked through them wordlessly and stood at the shore as if waiting. Then, the Mask of Water washed up to him on a wave, and he handed it to the first Protector of Water. Her torpedo launcher and turbines pull her through the water at seemingly impossible speeds, and she had grown accustomed to using the new weapons.

The Toa must face evil versions of themselves summoned by Makuta, the 100% evil version after the Mask of Deus Ex Machina split Makuta into two 100% good and evil versions to solve the problem of 2017. UHAT, DISASTER OF FIRE ILAG, DISASTER OF WATER AWEL, DISASTER OF JUNGLE UTAHOP, DISASTER OF STONE AUNO, DISASTER OF EARTH AKAPOK, DISASTER OF ICE Meanwhile, the Lord of Skull Spiders returns, except it's not alone this time. It's being controlled by the Lord of Lord of Skull Spiderses, which has sent out the six coloured Lord of Skull Spiders to control the six varieties of Skull Spiders, which can themselves control smaller spiders. Okoto has a lot of spiders and each size can also leap onto someone's body and control them if their face is large enough. Also, Protectors mutate into giant spiders upon death because their masks were poorly made and had a side effect of transforming dead things into spiders.
  18. Okay, I've got this totally crazy theory about how the classic Bionicle and the new one are linked. Bionicle G1, as we know, was a multi-year toyline made by Lego. It had an original story beginning with elemental heroes battling the evil Makuta in order to save their island home. Bionicle G2 might seem at first to have a completely different story. But in fact, it's ALSO based on a toyline made by Lego! Additionally, it's ALSO about elemental heroes (who even have the same names!) fighting an evil entity, also named Makuta, to save an island! Some of the details are different (mask powers, the name of the guardian entity the heroes hope to revive, the specific foes Makuta enlists to fight the Toa), but the core storyline is clearly very similar. Now this might sound insane, but bear with me. What if the new storyline is a REBOOT of the classic storyline, which carries over elements of the original to tell a new story for a new generation? That would perfectly explain the shared elements of the two storylines, while also accounting for the differences between them! There are some definite clues that this theory might be correct. For instance, at the Bionicle 2015 reveal at New York Comic Con, the Lego representatives at hand stated early on that the new story was a reboot, without any qualifying statements attached that might suggest an alternative meaning of the term. Greg Farshtey, the writer of the original Bionicle story, also claimed that the new line was a reboot of the original story. While neither of these hints are definitive (after all, it's not unheard of for writers and creative professionals to lie to the faces of their most fervent fans), when combined with the similarities and differences in the two storylines it seems to be a plausible theory. But this is all speculation. What do YOU think of the possibility of a "reboot" of the classic storyline? Feel free to share your thoughts along with evidence you might have noticed yourselves!
  19. There's something I'd like to know: why did the villagers of Okoto leave the city in the first place? Was it cursed? Was it reimbursed (with death)? Was the city the worst? Of cities to be abandoned, was it the first? Also, it's in the shape of the BIONICLE symbol. You know the one, the one that was on the bottom of G1 canisters. There's chasms between the five parts, with the tomb-forge of Ekimu being on the central pillar-dot and the residences of Ekimu and Makuta on the outer two pillar-dots, and everything else is on the two outlying parts. Connected by bridge. As a bonus, the city shapeshifts. Because the city... is alive! No, it's just really weird.
  20. For some time now, editors on BS01 (myself included) have been waging an off-and-on argument about what to call the heroes of Generation 2. Some favor Masters; others favor Toa (Generation 2). Various arguments have been made in support of and against both terms. I do not in any way purport to have the authority to settle this dispute through a poll, but I am interested in gauging what the BZPower community at large thinks. That's all I have to say right now. I will elaborate on my personal position later.
  21. Did everyone else see the announcement LEGO just made? From the second half of 2015 onwards, all constraction sets are to be edible. Colour will correlate to flavour, so we'll end up with cherry-flavoured Tahu sets, Blueberry-flavoured Gali sets, Chocolate flavoured Pohatu sets, et cetera. A bold move, indeed. Apparently, this to increase safety amongst the younger range of Constraction fans. Well, I can't wait to taste the new Skull sets and the sets of next year! I hope nobody's done this before, or I'm a fool
  22. So for the past few months, I've been keeping my complete G2 collection (including the NYCC Tahu Mask & Hero Pack) on this shelf in a very...weird configuration. So my question is: what's the best way to display all the sets together on said shelf? Any tips are appreciated!

Why is it such a terrible crime, to exaggerate, that some people want to think there's a connection between G1 and G2? If they do, let them. It doesn't affect your own thoughts about G2. You can disagree on things, and frankly it's rather silly of people to try and stamp out all who dare to want to think that G1 and G2 are connected in some way. "Because LEGO said so"? I didn't know LEGO had a monopoly on creativity or controlled what people wanted to think. There will always be people who want a connection between G1 and G2. I don't, but I'm not going to say to someone who does, "No, you can't think that. You have to obey what LEGO said! Remember: no creativity allowed!".
  24. Foreword Dear reader, Outcasts of Okoto is a story set in the canon G2 Universe (at least at first) which will be told through many mediums, such as a fan-fiction, comic book, and animated shorts. The story-line is developed by me and my two partners, while I handle the actual writing. The fan-fiction's chapters will be posted on this thread for you all to enjoy, and updates with links to the comic books and shorts will be posted here as well. Without further ado, sit back, and enjoy the multi-media experience that is Outcasts of Okoto... From Maks Dudek, head writer of Outcasts of Okoto Prologue On the mythical island of Okoto, villagers lived in harmony. The two brother mask makers, Ekimu and Makuta, provided the inhabitants with sacred Masks of Power. Makuta grew jealous of the constant praise Ekimu received from the villagers, and forged a plan to settle the score. Defying the sacred law of a mask only having one element, Makuta created the Mask of Ultimate Power, the most powerful in existence. When Makuta put on the mask, he was corrupted by it. It was up to Ekimu to stop his brother, or else Okoto would be no more. Ekimu slung his hammer at Makuta, knocking the mask off his face. However, the impact caused a shock wave, and Ekimu was left in the crater that resulted. Ekimu's Mask of Creation, Makuta's Mask of Control, and the Mask of Ultimate Power were scattered all over the island. The leaders of Okoto's six tribes, known as the Protectors, found Ekimu's body in a deep sleep. They laid Ekimu to rest in a tomb, honouring the great mask maker. Years later, Skull Spiders appeared on Okoto, terrorizing the island's inhabitants. A few villagers wish to find another island to escape the Skull Spiders, but the Protectors stand firm in their belief that six Toa will come to save them. The villagers who wish to leave would rather take action than rely on fate. However, they do not want to depart unless they are sure of other lands being habitable. Jalokim and Nahrakk are two such villagers. Jalokim is a villager of the fire tribe, located in the volcanic region of fire. Nahrakk is a villager of the Jungle tribe, which is located in Okoto's dense forests of the jungle region. The two plan to explore the ocean beyond Okoto, searching for other habitable lands, hoping to save their people from the Skull Spiders. ....Little do they know, their lives as villagers are about to end. Chapter One Jalokim woke with a start in his bed. He had quite a strange dream. In it, he saw a gold mask in a locked chamber. The mask had a peculiar design, as it had what looked like a... robot of some sort with its legs on the mask's “mouth”, the arms along its eyes, and the robot's head on the forehead. He saw a portal open in front of the mask. The mask began to glow, and three energy bolts flew out from it and into the portal. Jalokim followed the energy bolts, until another portal opened on the other side. As he and the energy bolts flew out of the other end, he saw an island with dense jungles. Each energy bolt split up, and Jalokim saw that they struck three different Masks of Power. Each mask crackled with electricity, then settled. That was all Jalokim saw before he woke up. I wonder what that was? Some sort of premonition maybe?, Jalokim thought to himself. After pondering it for a few minutes, he decided to dismiss it as just another wild dream brought on by eating before bed. Or from stress. Whatever it was, he planned to avoid it in the future if he could. Avoid stress, yeah right. Not with those Skull Spiders around. Jalokim had a stressful life even before the Skull Spiders entered it. The villager suffered from a mental illness which caused him to hear voices and hallucinate, as well as experience other kinds of delusional episodes. Unfortunately, mental illness ran in the family. It traced all the way back to an ancient ancestor who lived back in the days when the villagers and the mask makers were new to Okoto entirely. Jalokim was not this villager's original name. In fact, the name belonged to the very same relative which the line of mental illness originated from. Jalokim the First was infamous in history, being responsible for many deeds involving the deaths of villagers. Jalokim I was not alone however, he worked with a rogue warrior whose name was forgotten to time. Jalokim the Second chose the name to bring honour to it. He would never make the same mistakes his ancestor did, and Okoto needed a Jalokim which would bring good, not evil. The villager decided to get ready for the day. He made a list in his head of what he had to do. Not too much, by a regular villager's standards, but Jalokim's plans for the future required him to prepare, and preparation took up a lot of the villager's time. So, rather than doing chores all day, Jalokim would be planning his trip with his friend Nahrakk. Nahrakk would be lost without me, that villager rarely seems to think with his head. He relies too much on his emotions to make decisions, Jalokim thought to himself. The villager stepped out of his hut into the centre of the Fire Tribe. The only thing that kept most of the villagers from fleeing Okoto was the belief that the six Toa would one day arrive. Jalokim never liked to just rely on hope, he needed a more... solid solution to his problems. That was precisely why he and Nahrakk had thought of the idea to explore the ocean beyond Okoto for other, safer lands. Well, it was mostly Jalokim's idea, but that was besides the point. Hmm... There doesn't seem to be much more I can do here in the village... Might as well head over to the Jungle region to find Nahrakk. Jalokim almost just up and left the village before remembering he forgot to bring his blade. He would need that in case he ran into any Skull Spiders. Jalokim could be a little scatter-brained at times. The villager went back to his hut to retrieve his blade. It was quite rare for a islander to have a weapon of their own, most of the time they just ran away from the Skull Spiders. However, the original Jalokim was a master swordsman, and this Jalokim thought it logical to be able to defend himself with those pesky mind controlling bugs around. The blade was relatively simple, as the villager had to forge it himself, but it was sturdy and able to get the job done. It was a little longer than the length of his arm, and was thin. The curved handle made it easier to parry attacks, and also made it ideal for stabbing. This type of blade would be called a Foil. Jalokim, once again, made his way to the village exit. At least, until he remembered that he would need to sneak out in order to avoid questions from the village guards and the Protector of Fire. This would involve taking some secret underground tunnels that an old Earth Tribe friend helped make back when the exodus plan was in early stages of development. They led to the neighbouring regions around the Fire Region, but sadly, this Earth Villager met his fate with the skull spiders before he could finish the tunnels to other regions. Jalokim began his walk over to the secret tunnel entrance, until he remembered he needed food and water for the journey, which of course, he forgot to pack. Ughh... back to my hut... again... * * * It took Jalokim till the end of the day to reach the tunnel exit in the Jungle Region. Since it was dark, he decided to set up camp until morning. When he woke up at dawn, he continued on his journey to Nahrakk's village. The islander was halfway to the Jungle Tribe village, but then he started seeing things out of the corner of his eyes in the trees. At first he dismissed them as hallucinations, but then he thought about how risky it was to ignore such things, especially since he was in the Jungle Region. The area was littered with dangerous beasts, not to mention skull spiders. Caution was paramount... As soon as Jalokim started to turn around, there were flashes of green. He was knocked flat on his back and he dropped his foil. Even his mask was knocked askew. Due to his condition, Jalokim's reflexes weren't always the most reliable. The villager fixed his mask and looked at his attackers, all the while picking up his foil and getting in a ready position, but then he took a good look. Jalokim sighed and relaxed. The two villagers clad in green armour in front of Jalokim were trying to suppress laughter. The fire tribe villager only recognized one of them, who of course was Nahrakk, the very being he was looking for. The other he had never met... or maybe he had? Villagers had the annoying habit of wearing the exact same mask, so it was difficult to recognize someone by their face alone. Jalokim decided to make himself more unique by adding black stripes to his mask. Others thought of the addition as defacing the work of Ekimu and blah blah blah. Jalokim needed efficiency and style. “So Nahrakk, are you going to introduce me to your friend at all?” “Oh hi there Jalokim, why yes I'm doing quite lovely today, thank you for asking.”, Nahrakk replied with a smirk. Jalokim gave Nahrakk a glare. Nahrakk decided to comply and introduced his ally as a friend from the Jungle Tribe known as Makani. Nahrakk explained that he told the newcomer about their plan, and his fellow villager was interested. He thought it best that Makani would tag along for the voyage. The Fire Tribe villager sighed again. It was already too late to send Makani back, as he would probably tell the Protector of Jungle of the expedition if denied a slice of the glory. And we can't have that now can't we? I suppose this 'Makani' could be useful... “Very well then Makani, welcome aboard. Any questions? Good. Let's go.” “Uhm, where exactly do we go sir?”, Makani asked nervously. Jalokim put his palm to his mask. Ekimu give me strength... “Well, mindless villager, we are off to the Jungle Region's shore, where Nahrakk has the boat we built earlier hidden. Near the boat, I have placed rations. As there is no real guarantee we will find anything out there, sustenance will be quite useful, to say the least.” Jalokim said the next part slowly so Makani could keep up. “Do.... you.... understand?” Makani nodded. That was all. A simple nod. Typical. Jalokim turned to Nahrakk. “If we're ever in a situation where one of our crew must be sacrificed, I volunteer Makani. After all, we need your strength, and I'm the one who's in charge so...” “Jalokim, what's your problem with the other villagers on this island anyway? Besides, y'know, the fact that they blindly follow someone rather than take action.” “Well Nahrakk, I dislike how most villagers are the same. No creativity these days. They all wear their armour in similar fashions, all wear the same masks, it's absolutely dreadful! The way to truly honour our great Mask Makers of old is to create, just like they did! We disrespect them by not creating better things in this world. I wear black and red for a reason, after all. The black represents how well darkness goes with anything, and the red represents my hatr-” “Whoa whoa whoa Jalokim! Relax! Don't scare poor old Makani here, he can be a bit fragile.” Jalokim decided to cut the banter there. He ordered the group to start the trek over to the Jungle Region shore. The sooner they left Okoto the better, time was precious. Who knew how much longer the population of Okoto would survive? Or..... what if the fabled Toa dideventually arrive? What if they were on their way at this very moment and Jalokim and his group were wasting their time? Or what if.... that didn't even matter? What if Jalokim was looking for an excuse to escape from the society he knew? No matter, if we do indeed discover something, then that is an achievement in and of itself! We would go down in history! That would prove to them all that I, Jalokim, the so called “lunatic of the Fire Region” is indeed superior after all..... * * * Nahrakk walked alongside his partner, Jalokim, and the new recruit, Makani. As the trio made their way to the Jungle region's shores, Nahrakk's mind drifted. He thought about his life so far in the Jungle village. From what he heard, it was easier than Jalokim's, but that didn't mean it was perfect. Besides having to deal with Skull Spiders, Nahrakk wasn't generally accepted by his peers. Being a minority could be tough that way. He was basically the only islander in the Jungle region to seriously doubt that the Toa would arrive in time, if they even existed to begin with. Realistically, Ekimu was delusional, after all, hadn't he just been pounded into a crater? It just made no sense to him how the Islanders of Okoto could take the prophecy of heroes seriously. As such, Nahrakk's opinionated and stubborn nature didn't bode well with those around him, and resulted in them trying to avoid the villager and letting him look through his telescope, the very telescope he thought would prove the Toa wouldn't arrive. One day, the Jungle villager was feeling adventurous and decided to travel around Okoto. He was confident he could handle himself against a few Skull Spiders, as he had his trusty daggers and his natural strength. As he went deeper and deeper into the jungle, he came across the opening of a cave. What was even more peculiar was that there were two villagers at the cave opening. It was Jalokim and an Earth villager. Nahrakk inquired what the pair was doing at a cave opening, and discovered that the cave was a tunnel meant to make travel across regions quicker. Eventually Nahrakk learned that the other two villagers shared similar views with him, and thus they formed an alliance. Over the next few months the three planned an expedition for other land. Sadly however, the Earth villager became possessed by a skull spider, and out of self defence, Jalokim may have had to... skewer him with his foil. It was a tragic day indeed. Nahrakk snapped back to reality. He started to hear the sound of tiny claws scraping against stone and wood. It was a sound every villager dreaded... The sound of Skull Spiders crawling. Chapter Two Nahrakk and Jalokim ran as fast as they could towards the Jungle region shoreline. A few moments ago, Nahrakk had heard the sound of Skull Spiders sneaking up on them. What happened next was absolutely terrible. Blue Skull Spiders jumped out of the shadows and took Makani by surprise, tearing off his mask and possessing him. Soon, more of the Skull Spiders were revealing themselves, and Jalokim gave the order to Nahrakk that the most logical thing to do was to flee. This was bringing back painful memories for Nahrakk. This was awfully similar to how their Earth Tribe friend had fallen. Hopefully Jalokim wouldn't have to use his foil again. The Skull-possessed Makani was slowly gaining on the pair. Nahrakk thought of how they would be able to lose both Makani and the dozen Skull Spiders. Then he remembered that there were a plethora of vines in the jungle. The islander squinted and saw the cliff coming up. Who knew that running towards a cliff would bring such a feeling of safety? “Jalokim! Cliff! You thinking what I'm thinking?” Jalokim looked ahead, saw the vines over the chasm, and smirked. “Only thing that would be missing is the music.” Jalokim replied. The pair ran full speed towards the cliff edge. As they reached it, they jumped and grabbed the vines hanging over the chasm. The two villagers swung through the empty air, hanging on for their lives. Nahrakk looked behind him to see all the Skull Spiders fall off the cliff as the possessed Makani grabbed a vine and swung after him and Jalokim. Uh oh. “Um, Jalokim? We have a bit of a problem behind us!” Jalokim looked back. As he saw who was still pursuing him and his partner, he grimaced behind his mask. This would mean his foil would be seeing some action quite soon. Jalokim and Nahrakk reached the other side of the chasm. The villager of fire unsheathed his foil as Nahrakk stood behind him. Jalokim got into his battle stance as the Skull-possessed Makani got closer. As soon as Makani was in the range of Jalokim's blade, the villager of fire swung at the vine Makani was hanging onto. The vine was sliced clean, and Makani plummeted to his death. Nahrakk stared at his partner. Jalokim caught his eye and sighed. “At least I didn't have to get my blade dirty eh?” Nahrakk just shook his head. Jalokim's type of humour wasn't always appropriate. “I know what you're thinking Nahrakk, but hey, it's most important to lighten the mood at times like this. Good for morale y'know?” “Maybe for the lunatic of the Fire Region, but not for the rest of us.” Nahrakk rebutted. Jalokim frowned. He did not like being called that in a negative light. Who would, besides an actual lunatic? “Well at least I'm not as bad as the original Jalokim! I have done nothing but improve his name.” Jalokim said with pride. “And how can you prove that? Judging by what your ancestor allegedly did, all of the Protectors would know about him, yet the Protector of Jungle can't seem to recall the name 'Jalokim the First'.” Jalokim scowled behind his mask. This was going to get ugly really quickly. “It isn't wise to anger a madman with a blade Nahrakk... How about you do yourself a favour, and shut up.” “I was just giving my opin-” “Do you think I care about your opinion right now?” Jalokim interrupted by bringing the tip of his foil dangerously close to Nahrakk's eye. “You don't want another scar on that mask, now do you?” Jalokim threatened. Nahrakk swallowed. It could be easy to forget that Jalokim was a bit off his rocker, which made him just a bit dangerous when upset. “... I'll take that silence as a no. Now then, we really must be on our way, we're burning daylight!” Jalokim started walking at a brisk pace towards the Jungle region shoreline, with Nahrakk hesitantly following. Shouldn't be long now, new land, here I come! Jalokim thought to himself. * * * The pair arrived at the shoreline, marvelling at the boat Nahrakk hid earlier. It was large enough to fit about four villagers. It used a red and black sail in order to float across the sea surrounding Okoto. The word 'Exodus' was carved into it's side, giving it it's name. The two villagers got themselves prepared for the trip. They pushed the boat into the water, and quickly climbed in. The sail caught the wind, and they began to travel at a steady pace. The journey had begun. Jalokim marvelled at the fact that they had set sail. It was magnificent, finally escaping the island, and all it's islanders. Freedom at last! Nahrakk sat in the Exodus, watching Jalokim look out to the horizon. Neither had realized how quick the day had passed. The night sky blanketed them, the stars providing a beautiful map of the cosmos. The other planets in Okoto's solar system shone brightly, providing light for the journey. It really was a beautiful sight. Nahrakk's eyes slowly drooped, and he fell asleep, exhausted from the day's events. As Nahrakk, slept, Jalokim looked into the waters. Something was amiss, but he couldn't quite place his finger on it. Then he remembered his odd dream. What if that island was the land he and Nahrakk would find? And what about those peculiar masks of power? Would they be able to help save Okoto from the Skull Spiders? Only the Mask Makers would have known. Jalokim was so absorbed in his thoughts that he didn't notice that the water around them was starting to churn, swirling into where he and his partner would make the discovery of a lifetime... Times were going to change... but whether it was for better or for worse, no-one could be certain. * * * Jalokim was taken by surprise as the Exodus violently rocked. He lost his footing and landed on top of Nahrakk, waking up his partner. Before Nahrakk could even ask what was going on, the boat rocked again. This time, it was enough to turn the Exodus on its side, plunging the two underwater. Jalokim and Nahrakk frantically swam to the surface, gasping for air. No no NO! This can't be happening! There is no way that this is how it ends! Jalokim thought to himself. The two Okoto Villagers tried in vain to escape the current. Jalokim took a look at what they had gotten themselves into. The pair was caught in a vortex, and they watched as the Exodus was swallowed up by the massive whirlpool. There went all their hopes and dreams. Jalokim closed his eyes and braced for the release of death. He could hear Nahrakk cursing at the winds, but soon his cries ceased... and slowly, everything else went quiet. Soon, there was nothing but darkness and silence... * * * Jalokim was surprised to still be able to feel his fingers, though he was even more surprised by the fact that he was still alive. He was blinded by the light as he opened his eyes, but soon they adjusted. He was on a tropical beach. Not far to his right the Exodus lay ruined. Nahrakk was nowhere to be found, but Jalokim noticed footprints leading into the dense jungle behind him. Looks like we were successful after all... but I do wish Nahrakk waited for me to regain consciousness. Oh well, better go find him. Jalokim got up, his body aching, and looked for his foil. After searching for some time, he located it. However, he was disappointed to see the blade had been snapped off, and presumably lost in the sea. All he was left with was the hilt. Still, he carried the hilt with him, just in case he could find some use for it. With that, Jalokim made his way into the strange land's forest. The villager had been walking for about fifteen minutes until he sensed something... wait, not just one thing, but two things! Jalokim turned around, hearing heavy footsteps. His heart pounded, scared that he wouldn't be able to defend himself at whatever creature was coming towards him. The fire villager froze, not knowing what to do. What came through the brush took Jalokim by surprise. It was a tall being, clad in green and silver armour. He wore a mask with a layered design, and had a scar along it's left eye. The mask looked familiar... a lot like one of the masks he saw in his dream! The tall green being seemed to recognize Jalokim, giving a smile behind his mask. That smile reminded Jalokim a lot of the way Nahrakk smiled... wait... could it be? “Nahrakk? Is that you?” “You know it!” Nahrakk said with a smirk. Jalokim was speechless. This couldn't be the same Nahrakk he had set sail with... unless that mask had something to do with this rather useful growth spurt his partner had. “Tell me Nahrakk, did you find a mask in this jungle, put it on, and then WHAM, you become this stronger version of yourself? I mean, you're taller than me now, that isn't fair.” “You got that about right. When I woke up on the beach, I started getting this weird feeling, like something in the jungle was calling out to me. So, I got up, and went to where that feeling led me. I found the Mask floating just above the ground at eye level. I put on the mask, and I became, well, this. Say, don't you think I look a bit like what the Toa were supposed to look like?” Jalokim cracked a smile. “Well, I don't know of any other beings in legend who are tall, powerful, and wear a mask. Say, what sort of elemental power do you have? Considering you seem to be a Toa, I would think you'd have some sort of ability.” Nahrakk nodded and said “My elemental power is rather strange, not any type I heard of a Toa wielding. I seem to have elemental control over acid, I tested this by dissolving a boulder. Pretty powerful stuff.” “Interesting. Well Nahrakk, I have to say I've also been sensing something in this jungle. Probably another mask. Shall we be on our way to retrieve it?” Nahrakk nodded. “Seems unfair that I would be the only one to get this height boost. After all, I know you like to be the taller one.” Jalokim focused, letting his instincts guide him. His senses told him his mask wasn't too far from where they stood. Jalokim nodded at his partner, and the two walked in the direction of where his new powers lied. Jalokim and Nahrakk eventually walked into a small clearing, and there they found a red mask with black streaks floating at Jalokim's eye level. It looked somewhat noble, with a trapezoid shaped mouth-piece, and two horizontal slashes across each cheek. The villager of fire walked over to his mask and claimed his prize. He removed his current mask, and carefully placed the new one over his face. He felt a surge of energy as his body transformed. Each part of his body grew, and his armour changed shape. When the transformation was complete, Jalokim looked at himself. He wore black and red armour, with silver shin guards and shoulder pads. He took a loot at the hilt of his broken foil, and was amazed to find out that was transformed as well! It was now a strange device, which covered his entire hand. It had a dark, rocky design. He felt a trigger, and as he pulled it, flames spewed from the tip of the hilt, and a flame styled blade formed. Wow, now this is something I can get used to! Nahrakk stood, also impressed by what Jalokim had resulted with. “Very cool, or should I say hot. Let's have a little test of your new elemental power, hm?” Jalokim focused his willpower. He called forth his elemental energies, and pointed his blade at the ground in front of him. The blade crackled with elemental power, and it's energies shot forth. When it hit the ground, a pool of lava formed. “Looks like I'm the Toa of Magma Nahrakk. Pretty unique element, never heard of a Toa having that power. But I suppose it makes sense, considering you have Acid.” “Mmhmm. Well, getting these new powers is all fine and dandy, but what do we do now? The Exodus is destroyed, and we have no way of getting back to Okoto. I mean, hurray we found land and all, but it doesn't mean much if we can't bring the Islanders over here.” Jalokim thought about this. His partner was right, but that doesn't mean their discovery wasn't valuable. There could be many undiscovered artifacts here, like more masks perhaps. Or maybe the ruins of an ancient civilization? Who knew, but Jalokim intended to find out. “Hmm... Well, does it really matter that much? I'm sure we can build another boat from the resources on this land. We're just going to have to explore, and hey, maybe we'll find something really life changing? Something that can better the lives for everyone back home, now wouldn't that be something?” Nahrakk considered Jalokim's words. “You know what, I think you're right. We can definitely benefit from a little exploration, besides, we should have the power to be able to fend off anything dangerous, right?” “Precisely Nahrakk, together, we shall go down in the history of Okoto for being the great saviours! Now let's get started...” Jalokim walked further into the forest, gesturing for his partner to follow. Nahrakk joined his friend, and together they continued to explore this new land. They were about to make many discoveries, oh yes... Chapter Two 1/2 Jalokim, the novice Toa of Magma, sat in the small camp he and Nahrakk set up when they arrived on this strange island. The sky was dark, oddly darker than Okoto's sky had been. There was an absence of planets, but instead just a bunch of stars and a red moon. It was obvious they were very far away from home, but Jalokim didn't care. It gave him a sense of freedom, instead of fear. The Toa of Magma absolutely hated home. While the landscape was very beautiful, it was ruined by the Islanders he was forced to tolerate. If the original Jalokim was anything like him, he could understand why he became a criminal. Not just a regular criminal, but a murderer.
  25. Remember when, a few years ago, that people were trying to get kinetics to become an element? This was around the same time PSIONICS became an element. Psionics was made an element, but Kinetics was rejected, under the basis that a 5-year old child would not know what kinetics is, I believe? Despite the fact that a child would likely not know what the word 'Psionics' meant either. Honestly, why use a fancy name if your target audience doesn't know what the fancy name means? It was a silly element anyway. Actually, just how many elements did BZP canonise in the later years? Did the Bohrok-Kal elements becom elements when the Kal were introduced, or was that way later? In retrospect, G1 has way too many elements. I wouldn't really say there was any need for more than twelve. If I could say what elements were to be the 'canon' ones, this would be it: there are the six primary elements. There are the two 'special' elements: light and shadow. Then there are no more than four secondary elements: lightning, sound, jungle (switch with air if G2), and metal. Plasma has been excluded because it was basically just hipster fire. Magnetism and gravity have been excluded for being too specific. Psionics has been excluded because of aforementioned reasons. Sonics has become sounds, Iron has become metal in general, and lightning can remain as is, as can jungle which was formerly known as plant life or the green. This totals to twelve elements total, which is a good amount and covers a decent range I think. Any more would be pushing it. Sorry to anyone who likes plasma (myself), magnetism, gravity, or psionics as elements. Since I'm in the mood to talk about elements again... What's the most ridiculous but plausible G1 BIONICLE element you can come up with? What do you think of late elemental additions, such as Psionics? Would you prefer that it had remained the original six elements? Light and shadow: good addition or bad? The secondary elements: which are good, which are bad, which are silly? Do you agree with the dropping of air in favour of Jungle in G2? Stone and Earth present a bit of a problem. How would you differentiate them? Or would you just scrap one of them?
