  1. GLITCH IN THE SYSTEM review this casefile And to be lost in the unknowing is what she feared. To be lost in it, on the edge between a matrix of information and a forgotten dream--yet,to know nothing of it, to hold onto the void, groping in the bleakness without knowing where you came, why you came there, and above all else, who you really were...it was a malice way to play on the mind, for you cannot do anything against such evil. Nothing. Ignorance is truly bliss. Toa Tachi would remind herself of this possibly many times a day. It helped fuel her taste for blood, vengeance—guilt. She pressed on with bitter struggles and stubbornness to attain her goal. Nothing but the stretch of death would stop her. Not even a Great Being could sway her heart. She could feel it, hear it, almost smell it—but she could not remember it. Tachi, Toa of electricity, would stop at nothing to gain her memories back. Ill means or not, she would kill every Makuta and more to reach what was rightfully hers. She ran as fast as her legs would carry her, the Toa's purple and black scarred armor was slim, agile, and powerful. Tachi seemed not to blink as she stared at her destination. Her hand clutched tightly to her long buster sword, treating it as if it was a feather. The whole forgotten alleyway was dark, grimy and had a sickening smell to it. This island was once similar to her own: beautifully prosperous by the main trade routes, a peaceful convergance of nature and machine. But now it was nothing more than an ailing grave, a meager and small site for the Makuta to enjoy themselves with experimentations, gleefully boasting their grand ability to conquer. It made her emotions rage to a boiling point, but no one could be able to tell by her blank expression, her dull blue eyes still staring towards the large tower. They would pay for this, they would fear, and they would die. She had discarded the Toa's code, but no--she was not rightfully a Toa anymore. She was just a fake using the power to her own advantage. Tachi didn't care; for she was just a soulless piece of metal programmed only to find peace in the numbing darkness. She bounded up toward a roof, landing neatly and without so much as a murmmered clatter. Without a moment's rest she continued to race on; her feet clanging against the metal roofs. The city itself was now empty; but guards still patrolled the various streets and roofs. Her only company was the smoke and darkness of the night. She raised her weapon, holding it with both hands, her breath stilled, and the odd smell of ionzation. With smooth acrobatic prowess she somersaulted in the air, jumping between a gap and slicing her weapon through a Rahkshi as if was mere water. She landed and her feet clanked against the alloy support. She turned back to watch the creature attempt to cry out, but to no avail, it was dead before it even fell to the ground. The visor she wore over her Mahiki styled mask glimmered against some flickering street lights, the device reading over the Rahkshi to make certain it was dead. She then turned back toward her goal and stood stock still as a statue momentarily. The tall tower of the Makuta loomed up to the cloudy dark sky, far off at the edge of the village. She placed the weapon on her back, securing it into place, and then she jumped up on a small tower and began to climb. Within seconds she was at the top, perched up at the edge like a crouching animal. She looked down to notice a long barge-like chute going down the street, headed toward the gate. That was her cue. She jumped off the tower, feeling the dry wind race past her, whizzing and screaming. Almost too fast to see, Tachi whipped her weapon out and flipped onto the speeding chute, slicing through one Rahkshi and grabbing the other by its spine. She threw it and it fell, its body hitting mercilessly into a wall. Her eyes were steady with sheer focus as she clutched her sword close by her body for defense. She swung around when she heard footsteps, only to be faced with a large, portentous Exo-Toa. It had stretched its hand out to crush her, and Tachi braced herself for the impact, unable to move out of the way in time. Instead it froze and she heard a thump resonate, then a crack. The suit fitfully struggled to keep its balance, but fell lifelessly over the barge, the body embedding itself in the dirt road far below. Tachi pointed her weapon toward the shadowy area of where the Exo-Toa had apparently been killed. She saw a massively tall and well-built figure come walking up, but no sound was heard from his large feet. The goggles he wore reflecting the lights from around the area, no eyes to be seen, but she knew he was looking at her. "Now, now," he said, placing a sleek gun back into its holster. "Why hello there." Tachi bit her lower lip, still holding her weapon out toward the stranger. Aside from the leisurely smirk he held upon his silver mask, it was impossible to tell his true intentions at this point. Tachi did not like what she could not understand. The chute continued to speed towards the building, getting closer and closer to its desired location. The machine had been on auto pilot, and the enemy were unaware of the hijacking for the time being. The unfamiliar Toa seemed to notice the sudden peace and assumed they had a few minutes to spare. "I had plans to silently sneak in the base," he continued. "though you seem to have a different arrangement." "What do you want?" "Maybe what you want; that Makuta dead," he said, pointing towards the building. "Who hired you?" "I came on my own accord." "Really now? This is interesting." He walked toward Tachi. His entire aura was soundless. It unsettled her even more. "You may call me Komas, Toa of Sonics. I was hired to assassinate this Makuta. What is your story?" "I am in search of something. The rest of the information is mine to keep classified." This Komas newcomer seemed either unaware of her weapon or was purposely trying to get killed. He walked up to her only to have the long glimmering sword pointed at his neck. His head shifted slowly down to her sword, he finally raised his arms upward, and made a clear, slow whistle of musement. "Ah, I see, I see...well, assure you, ma'am I mean no harm to you." Tachi merely grunted. "That's what everyone says, and then when they get what the want they throw you to the side." "At least you are aware of how life cycles," Komas responded. He looked over his shoulder to notice the fortress was looming ever so closer. "Why don't we make a deal. Let's get the job done together, and we'll be on our separate ways after we settle the Makuta's fate." "Why should I?" "Well, assuming we're both too stubborn to turn around, we may be of more use working together…" His obviously charismatic voice and friendly grin were a odd fit to his large and weather beaten form, but it was convincing enough. Tachi could not help but feel curious about him. She had not seen any Toa in…well, she could not recall. But this was her first time to peacefully socialize. He may be some use to her. And if he was with the Makuta, all the more to play along. Tachi lowered her weapon slowly, her visor reading over the body to make sure he had no tricks up his armored arms. Finally, and wordlessly, she turned to face the fortress. "What is your plan?" :::: :::: The chute arrived on time. It was filled with cargo containing all the necessary items for the Makuta; weapons, technology, and items best left to be anonymous for the public eye… It could be all found in those cold metal boxes. The barge slowly parked itself in the small docking area with a hiss, and a green encrusted Rahkshi waddled over to inspect the shipment. Something was wrong. Where were the guards? Its answer came far quicker than the Rahkshi wanted. A loud bang was heard, a long thin bullet surged through the creature, the metal parts and gears shredding around and splintered apart, falling all around the dock. Komas came into view, shifting the weight of the gun on his shoulder, and calmly looked around. No one had detected them—yet. Tachi followed behind, coolly walked off of the cargo transporter and looked at Komas with an emotionless glare. He returned her gaze with a smirk, and quickly started heading up the stairs. Tachi grudgingly followed. It didn't take long to realize that this Toa was one who controlled the elements of Sonics. Komas was able to keep himself and Tachi in absolute silence. They ran down the hallways, aware that stealth was their one advantage. They were not foolish, naïve Toa barging in with weapon shining. That was simply not a logical approach—unless they wanted to be dead. They knew secrecy and sheer cleverness was the only way to assassinate a figure of this much importance. But already as the reached the base of the main entrance, lights began to flash around the metal encased fortress, and the shrieks of Rahkshi could be heard far off, preparing to battle the intruders. Komas rubbed the temple area of his mask and sighed. "This came sooner than I expected." "We have to hurry; Makuta have a tendency to disappear when it gets messy." "You know much of Makuta?" Tachi just looked over the Toa of Sonics for a moment, and then with ferocious power, brought out her sword, jumped over him and swung at a charging Exo Toa, cutting its hand cleanly off. It fell to the ground with a metallic screech, wires twitching and flickering. She kicked the figure back and sent a blast of electricity, the dark purple flash twisted around the body, and unable to withstand the deadly attack, it collapsed in a smoking heap. Before any congratulations were sent out, they looked up to see a horde of Rahkshi and other dreadful creatures charging towards them, their feet ramming against the hard earth, swinging weapons around carelessly with blind nerve. Komas would have none of this, and immediately grabbed hold of Tachi, pulling her away and pushed her toward the door. She slid in and noticed at the same time that the door was shutting down. In fact, windows, doors—any means of escape was now becoming obsolete. Komas flipped in the air, steadily pulled out his gun, and with two powerful shots that echoed out, hit a charging Rahi straight on. It stumbled and crashed to the ground, bringing several others down in addition. Komas was able to fall inside the room, just as the large metal entrance slammed shut with a piercing moan. They were left with the sound of enemies ramming the door and trying to claw their way in. Komas straightened himself up and gave her a conceited grin. Tachi only shook her head and then continued up the stairway. "Say, I never picked up your name ma'am," Komas called out, now rushing up the stairs to catch up with the fast paced female. There was silence for a moment, and only the dull clumps of feet hitting against the winding steps could be heard. "It is unimportant to our cause." "With your dashing looks, the name can't be all that bad, right?" The echoes from their feet and other clamor throughout the fortress made it hard to hear any small noises, but the Toa of Sonics easily caught wind of a sigh escaping her. "Focus on the mission." she said, and once again there was no more communication. They reached the end of the stairs. Without any pause Tachi rammed her sword against the small door, tearing it apart with a rupture and bounded in. Komas was quick to follow and brought out his gun.Up ahead, they were met with a tall, powerfully built, black figure. His back faced the Toa and he seemed to stare out of the large-glassed window in front of him. They could hear a deep exhale from him. The room seemed to darken. "I knew sooner or later that someone would come for me." The Makuta spoke out bitterly, and turned to face the Toa. His black and golden rusted face stared at them. "Makuta that get their claws in too deep will get much worse than what most peaceful beings could offer as punishment." "You seemed unsurprised that I'm here then," said Komas, edging toward the towering creature. "Who hired you? The Dark Hunters? Some trading company? Was it...him? Whatever the cause, they did not like what I was doing—bad business for them. Since they do not have the courage to wage war on us they merely kill the ones who step out of line…they got one of the best mercenaries out there to get me, which you are, I suppose. It's a pity to see Toa falling toward the darkness, such a pity…" The Makuta stopped in his sentence to pull out a long, battered hammer. Then he slowly looked toward the female Toa, who had stayed silent. Something sent chills through the Makuta as he was faced with her glare. Had he seen her before? Nevertheless, it was not important. The two would soon fall to his power and his station would be back and running smoothly; ten minutes flat. One should know though, to never underestimate a Toa. That was the first mistake this arrogant and lesser Makuta did. The second mistake; it is far, far worse to underestimate mercenary Toa, ones who know of war and who have gone beyond the Toa code to attain what they want. They are vicious and on the edge between good and evil. They are not afraid to get the dirty business done with. "You take the head, I'll take the legs," Komas blurted, and fired his silver gleaming firearm straight at the Makuta, the weapon glowed red as it charged up. The projectile was so silent that the being of darkness barely missed it; the bullet merely scraped against the armor and went straight-on into the glass window. It cracked and with a loud shatter and the window shred to thousands of pieces, all glimmering and reflecting in the light as they danced and bounced onto the cold floor. The Makuta swung his hammer to distract Komas and then flung his leg out, tripping the Toa, and enjoyed the sight of Komas ramming his head against the floor from the impact, dazed by the sharp vibration. Before he could do any finishing move, the Makuta was taken aback by the female Toa in a split second. One moment she was simply standing like a statue, unmoving and just staring with ghastly eyes. The next, her hands were on her buster sword, an enraged expression on her face as she jumped in the air, ramming her weapon into the Makuta's shoulder. He stumbled back but was able to block the second attack. The battle seemed to last forever as their eyes locked, both stares fixed and enraged. She completely forgot about the othe Toa. All Tachi could think about was her bittersweet revenge, nothing more. Her personal thoughts fueled her to fight, and fear encouraged it. The thought of death, and being captured again by Makuta put fear in her; literal terror. It was the only thing that scared her in the world, and from what she had learned, the only way to handle it was to face her fear. And kill it. Tachi was barely able to block a heavy swing that pushed her sideways, and this gave the Makuta an opening that he graciously accepted. He rammed his hammer into her side, and she spun back. A piece of armor under her chest had twisted back inside her, stabbing her organic tissue and gears. She grimaced, clutching her wound with one hand and stumbling to get up with the other. Shadows seem to suffocate her and swarm around, her eyes widened as she tried to escape such an attack, but it was useless. The shadows danced around her, twisting around and inside her. She struggled to stay sane; knowing helplessly that the Makuta was succeeding in killing her with his powers. But then there was a ear-piercing bang, and the Makuta clutched his head and reeled, screaming aloud from the blast of deafening sound Komas was sending. His gun had already fired two blasts into the master of shadows, and now he shot again. And again. And again. The last shot charged straight into the Makuta's face, the bullet cracked in the mask. With a roar and a painful screech, the mask cracked and exploded. The Makuta stumbled back, shocked and wounded, stumbled back. Unaware to where he had stepped, the Makuta cried out as he tripped out of the window to fall to his doom. Down, down, toward a deep dark abyss of unforgiving jagged rocks far below. Tachi tried to get back up, but was unable to see properly. Her vision was blurring and darkening and it felt like her lungs had been shut off. Before blacking out she saw the Toa of Sonics rush to her side, yelling out something incomprehensible. That was all she could recall as her body fell on the cold metal floor, her head falling back back. Review Case File
  2. Hey guys, the winners and some honorable mentions! I was going to post earlier, but I was hanging out with Skullkid for the day (-finally-..and speaking of which, if you go check out his blog, you'll find the latest WIP drawing from me). Had a lot of fun, but didn’t get much homework done today…ah well…yay for fall break! The three winners! These characters will be given a fairly major role in the story as a supporting character. Grokk – created by Nuju Metru Grokk…a mercenary type guy…but a secret dream to make a theme park? His personality and depth is outstanding! I absolutely loved him the second I read the bio. Cadash Ohaniel – created by Lloyd: The White Wolf Interesting, destiny-hating, but deadly and powerful businessman. Can’t have a modern city like Jiahk without one. He’s sure to stir up trouble with the agency! Iavo – created by Toa_Velox What I liked about this mercenary type was that…well, he’s brutal. He has a lot of quirks you might expect, but others as well you wouldn’t—he’s a type that could send shivers up your spine. Not a guy I’d like to meet in a dark alley. Three honorable mentions! These characters will be given a small cameo role. Los Vog – created by Skullkid I just liked this guy’s down to earth persona. Not some handsome exciting Toa—just a gaudy cook/broker…Deviled Squid and Grits...I think Niihlus will stick with coffee, however. Kako – created by Eeko Sometimes, simplicity is best—Eeko pulled this off. Love the character and her ‘eccentric’ personality. Kadina – created by Muharax makuta of insanity Quite a dangerous gang leader that’s stirring up trouble in the streets of Jiahk…not to mention she’s a female Makuta! It was so hard to decide, really guys, thank you all for entering! I was very impressed with all the amazing characters. <3 For the winners, I’ll be PMing you shortly so I can ask/explain/etc (without trying to spoil) where your character will show up, among other things. There were also some close finalists that I will be PMing as well because I really liked some, but will have to come at a much later date/was conflicting with another character. And so, for NaNoWriMo I shall be working on the sequel…this means the story should emerge in December! An official date will be announced later. Again, thank you so much for taking the time to enter. Hopefully the story will be enjoyable! Feel free to congratulate these guys, ask questions on them/the story, or whatever you like.
  3. I decided to extend the deadline until the October, 10th! That means people who haven't found the time to enter, or ones who already have, can get some time to enter and edit their entries. Good luck! Last year I held a Glitch in the System contest, and its theme was to design one of my characters--this time? The purpose of this contest is to create a character that will show up in the upcoming epic. If you win, the character will be considered canon in the GitS universe. You guys have been so kind to me with this story, so I feel I should repay you by getting the community a bit more involved. Now then, let’s get down to details. This is not an ‘only art/story/moc’ contest. You guys get a lot of free reign in this. The purpose is to simply come up with a character of your liking, tell me about him/her in a format similar to RPG templates, and that’s it. However, it is strongly recommended that you do art/MoC so I can picture him/her clearly. The more details and depth, the better chances you have at winning (this doesn’t mean you have to have super long info, though). Need tips on creating a character? • The character has to fit into the theme of GitS. My story focuses a lot on a ‘cyberpunk’ theme. This epic is mainly in a city called Jiahk with the classic gangsters, funky politicians and lots of guns and explosions. • While Toa are always nice, try to be extra creative. Do you have an idea for a spunky Matoran reporter? A mysterious diplomat? Some evil crime lord? Be creative, surprise me! • If you’re still unsure about what to do, think of the characters in stuff like NCIS, Star Gate, The Matrix, Ghost in the Shell, or other crime/adventure series. General information and rules: • Follow all BZP rules and guidelines. • One entry per person. • I’m going by a judging system, not voting. I am not judging by ‘who drew the best looking character/etc’; I want originality, not necessarily artistic talent. • There will be three winners. • Remember: if you win, that means I have full control over that character. No, I won’t make him/her be stupid, and you will have full credit of creating him/her—but be aware that this is my story, do not back-seat drive (but feel free to give me ideas or things you do not want me to do with said character). • Please make sure the format of your entry is readable and organized. Otherwise, I’m not picky. • I am NOT going to answer super basic questions on the story for you. If you expect to get a character in, I expect at least for you to read my story. Q&A: Q: ….what is Glitch in the System? A: Glitch in the System is a Bionicle epic that is about a Toa named Tachi and her Partner named Komas. It’s set in a slightly futuristic setting. You can read it here. Q: What’s the deadline? A: OCTOBER 10TH, 2010, 11:59PM CNT. I know, it’s only two weeks, but I must begin working on this story soon. I may be flexible, though. Q: Can the character be an alias of me/my bzp persona? A: If you really want to. Just make sure that character will fit logically in my story. Q: So, I can make a MoC, piece of art, or even a sprite of my character? A: Yes. There are no limitations on this. Q: Can my character be part of Toa Niihlus’ agency? A: Sure. Any faction you remember, you can create a character to be part of it. You can also create your own. Q: If I win, how important will my character be? Are there other prizes? A: It depends. It will most likely be more than a cameo, but otherwise it depends on what the story needs. Besides getting your character canon, I am considering some cool other prizes…but still working on that. Q: I don’t understand this in the story/I’m not sure I can do this/etc. A: If you need any help, just ask here or PM me. ----- Aaaand I think that’s it. What are you still here for? Go create that character for me! (oh and if you want to spread the word/advertise, that would be nice.)
  4. EDIT: I usually -hate- bumping entries, but I just wanted to do it just in case some people missed this (I originally posted this at a awkward time, anyhow) Well, since I announced the return of Glitch in the System...we got some exciting stuff ahead of us before I post the sequel. Might as well get this started with! (man, I feel like a cheesy advertiser) First things first: Glitch in the System Audiobook is a green-light again, officially. If you were part of the cast, please PM me to say if you still like to do that said character, or if you cannot! I'll still be trying to PM everyone if people do not read my blog regularly. It will either be posted before the sequel, or will update alongside it. Secondly, I'm going to be hosting another contest! Last time I asked you guys to help design some of my characters...this time? The chance to create a character in the GitS series! In a few weeks, I'll also be posting a 'prequel' sort of story that's limbo between the two epics as a kick-start. Art will be coming too (the major hold-back on that is my scanner is being weird with Windows 7). What else? Hmm, well I can give you some preview art (it's all a WIP). Now, excuse me. Brownies are calling my name, and I’m sleepy—so so happy I have no classes tomorrow. Oh, and feel free to ask questions.
  5. Just for the fun of it, I started to ramble to Raia about some songs that I just adored and couldn’t help but find the music inspiring for GitS’ scenes, characters, and just other stuff. So just for the fun, I wrote up a soundtrack for GitS (band/singer music, anyway). Rise – OrigaYes – ColdplayCrazy Little Thing Called Love – Michael BubléYou Know My Name – Chris CornellWhat’s It For – Emily CurtisLying From You - Linkin ParkThe One Thing I Have Left – Hawk NelsonHey Hey – Superchic[K]Iris – The Goo Goo DollsJustice And Mercy – FlyleafI’m A Believer – Smash MouthThere She Goes – Sixpence None the RicherGood Luck feat. – Basement JaxxRevenge – Switchfoot(Bonus Track) Broken – TrifonicThere were many others that have also been inspiring and I’m bound to change around the playlist, but it was sure fun to make! …gosh I’m a nerd. xDD
  6. I'm sorry, I couldn't resist. I'm lame like this, choosing my own character to cosplay as, LOL. [1][2][3][4][5][GIBBS!] OH YEAH, GO CHECK OUT VF'S COSTUME OF KOMAS
  7. CAST ANNOUNCED! (Right click to download trailer/avi file; 3MB) ::NEWS::IMPORTANT TO CAST!!!: I'm reposting a updated version of the story. When posting it, I discovered a lot of things were changed a few months back in the document file. So please, if you have any version saved on your computer, I'd encourage everyone to update it with the one I'm posting now. If you already have lines ready and don't have time to go back and fix it, it's fine. but it's not a huge revision.SkullKid wanted to inform everyone that he wants to get at least Section 3 done and ready before we start showing the audiobook. The release date is unknown, but hopefully it won't take longer than a few weeks.Remember: ALL of this is the member SkullKid’s idea. He came to me with this awesome suggestion and as of now I’m happily complying. I’m just hosting this up in my blog and making it all fancy like. Advertizing is very important. As an epic, Glitch got a lot of wonderful reception, one of the major reasons for this was because of the support with linking in your signatures, or suggesting it to a friend. (If you have made any, feel free to show me so I can add it to the list) (made by Chan'e The Demongirl) (made by Chan'e The Demongirl) (made by Raia) (made by Raia) Hang in there guys, it's coming soon!

    No More

Okay, heh. This is the most confusing thing I've ever posted. Edited the story out of here and moved it over to here. Blame Velox. So yeah, you can comment there if you want. Also, it actually references Glitch in the System--which is something I haven't written on in some time.
  9. Hey guys! SK recently has made two versions of the Glitch in the System Audiobook--one has music and some sound effects, the other is just the story itself. Some people couldn't decide if we wanted music or not, so SK wants us to vote. These here are sneak peaks guys! Demo with music/sound effectsDemo without (edit) SK wanted to say: We have a third choice in this. Please tell us simply if you want an audiobook with both sound effects/music, without the sound effects and just the music, or nothing at all. This is still a rough, so the final will be fixed or whatever else is needed. The deadline to getting this sorted is in two days (midnight, 10th of July). --- Oh yeah, another announcement (unrelated to Glitch), I've been experiencing some bad health issues lately. So to the people who are expecting reviews, PM responses, or commissions, I deeply apologize, things are going to be a bit slow. I just wanted to confirm I'm not purposely procrastinating, there's just a lot going on in my life. Really sorry to those who have commissioned me, I hope this doesn’t cause any problems.
  10. Hey everyone!! I'm so excited! Everyone ready? :: Click To Watch :: I decided to make a fun little intro to this audiobook to announce who got into the cast! The video includes only major characters, and pardon me if I messed something up…If you're too lazy to watch, or would like to see a more detailed list, here it be: » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... «Tachi: Nikira Komas: Smeogol4 Makuta Szian: Vezok's Friend Toa Niihlus: Torran Captain Yuuzian: SPIRIT Toa Zerak: Eeko Toa Uchik: Kanohi Zatth Philo Tsak: Sakaru Zimriah: Raia Vheon: MoSM Creolè: Brogen Szian's Servant:Kanohi Zatth Naosu: Yukiko Makuta Muurax: Biocore Ancient: SPIRIT Lariska: Lady Kopaka An Un-named Onu-Matoran: SPIRIT Un-named Bounty hunter in Jiahk: Eeko A grouchy Matoran sailor: SkullKid Another Matoran sailor: SkullKid It was a very hard choice, and I want to thank everyone for auditioning (I have over 70 files of auditioning!). I'm very excited to officially being this project soon. As of now, congratulations! Get warmed up for your parts, go tell your friends about this, point out any suggestions...or run around in circles being ecstatic!
  11. Oh dear gosh, I'm so close to finishing my S&T entry...but so far away. Hey guys, guess what SkullKid and I are working up on? Who'd think it'd be cool if we did a Glitch in the System podcast/audiobook? SkullKid came up with this cool idea during a lot of his projects, and as of now I have approved of these plans. He said auditions and plans are in the works now, and it would probably come out during the summer. Would any of you guys be interested? Feel free to jump in the bandwagon for being a possible candidate to voice a character, or you could help with other important duties like advertising, helping with the project...so on. And if you have any suggestions (or if you just disagree with this idea), feel free to point them out. There may be a small chance of me canceling this permission, due to if I suddenly see if this won't be going so well or if I won't have enough time to keep track of it all...but as of now, I'm interested to see how this folds out.
  12. Well, last chapter is up on Glitch in the System. Yep. ._. Edit: I realized how depressing that latest entry was, so I deleted it, I really hate sounding like that. But I will state some of what I said: though I’ll still be on BZP, I probably won’t be doing my usual routines like reviewing/art/writing for a while until I solve some life and other similar problems that I’m facing.
  13. Lady Kopaka

    Poasted

...and toasted, too! Right, updated Glitch last night, yall. This chapter was so much trouble, but I've been editing it since what...January? I think it'll be okay...and only one more chapter left. Oh, something special happens in this chapter. (Yes, Raia, I have found an appropriate use for this emoticon...xD)
  14. Well guys, after the somewhat minor Glitch in the System hiatus, a new chapter is up at last! It's slightly unedietd after my editor (gifboy) got busy, but it should all be okay and fully edited within a few days. This has to be one of the craziest chapters I ever written, probably the most climatic. Enjoy! And don't forget about my art/set trade guys. To peeps who are waiting patiently for the finished art trades, I'm slowly digging my way through all my art projects (school is such a distraction. ).
  15. Yes, new chapter, finally! What…it’s nearly been a month since an update? I got busy reediting some stuff, and SSC was taking all my time…but I’m back in the habit of finishing these chapters! As repayment to everyone’s patience, I’ll see if I can put the next chapter up within a few days. Enjoy! I’m still super worried if I’m doing the story and its plot-twists right…so any feedback would be nice. :>
  16. Why must it hates us so!? Deeplink I actually like how Komas turned out, and the overall look is alright IMO... considering inking is evil (but fun, nevertheless) and first time to really ink semi-realism. I'm smad at Tachi though, she didn't come out like I wanted at all... so yeah, if I ever draw her in HB again, she'll look a bit different. I'll colour this maybe, and I'll update my art topic with more stuffs by Saturday. ^^ EDIT: ...GitS readers/fans, you do know chapter 10 is up right? :3 *Is not really begging for reviews, she's just curious*
  17. Fellow addressees, As it is my duty and part of this job, I hold reports, biographies and other important notes pertaining key or wanted figures in my archival database, concerning the Glitch in the System case. I find it important to have these classified documents to assist not only my bureau, but for others who may be in need of this. Sincerely, Toa Niihlus, Security Chief of Jiahk Image 1 Image 2 Tachi [Tah-chEE] Species: Toa Gender: Female Structure: Slim/Agile, 6’8ft Element: Lightning (Electricity) Mask: Kanohi Mahiki, Mask of Illusion Occupation: Rogue/Undecided Weapon: Protosteel Buster Sword History: Tachi’s past is unknown. But she did know one thing: her memories were taken away by Makuta and she would stop at nothing to retain them. Her protosteel blade was a gift from a Fe-Matoran during her travels and her visor she found once during an incursion on a Makuta base. From confusing, jumbled visions or dreams she receives, Tachi believes her past was a simple one: protecting a Matoran inhabited island before the Makuta came and sought specimens. During her journey with Komas, she did discover she had a Toa brother named Uchik, captured and confined at a Makuta base. He warned her about a glitch in a system, and now with yet another mystery facing her, she struggles to unravel its purpose. Biography: Tachi’s personality is very straightforward. No complicated emotions, no distractions and no relations. She is a bitter and stubborn being, and over the years her hatred and frustration toward her ignorance has strengthened. She has devoted her known life to seeking revenge against the Makuta and wants nothing to do with the outside world. Beyond her coldness and apparent emotionless attitude, she truly is an honest being at heart, but struggles with finding any hope at all during her journey. Author’s Commentary: When you have a dashing male Toa, wouldn’t it be logical to have that coldhearted and dangerous female partner too? Tachi’s character clicked perfectly in with what I wanted and is the main star of GitS. A lot of her struggles, personality and general outlook came from personal and inner feelings in me that needed to be expressed in some way. Still, all us girls (and boys) just wonder how Tachi can be so distant with our dear Komas, it’s simply annoying!
  18. Deeplink I'm surprised I didn't show this sooner, he's much too fun to draw for his own good. xP Just finalizing his human version look and outfits; I could had spent hours more on this picture being picky about proportions and other details, but bah, I’ll fix them later…yes I know, I say that all the time! ...gotta love that tight black shirt on him though. :3

    Winners

Hey guys! Ready to see the winners to the Design a ‘Glitch’ Character contest? Before scrolling down, I just wanted to say that I got so many awesome entries I broke down and instead of allowing just one winner, there are now three! Along with that are also two honorable mentions. =) . . . . . . . . ~Winners~ Jithra wins with her ‘Szian’s Servant’ design! Congrats! When I first saw this image, I immediately fell in love with it. Not only because of the talent, but it was one of those perfect renditions of a character. Probably even better than if I tried! Zebrow wins with his Captain Yuuzian design! With all the Yuuzians, I just had to pick one. I really enjoyed this design of him because it had a nice classic pirate aura about it, but very Skakdi just the same. Its style and design really stuck out for me. Eliama: Toa of Sharpies wins with her Vheon design! This image was just too cute to pass! I could totally imagine Vhoen like this. Very formal and cool, but it also looks like the pirates have grown on him. And you just can’t go wrong with dashing dreadlocks. Thanks for entering, and congratulations! Your designs are now official for those characters! But we still have one last thing to clear up: ~Honorable Mentions~ Creolé by Raia Svit-Kona This image was just so snazzy; it nearly made it to become a winner. I loved the design of him and certain quirks about him…the boots, his face, the gun, it really helped his character. Toa Uchik by Onyx.5 It had a strange and unique style to this, and even through its humanoid appearance, I really loved certain parts of him. Like the torso, his legs, and just that overall creepy and that ‘broken’ feeling. Though the finalists didn’t win, they do get something. Their designs are now considered to be the ‘concepts’ of the characters. Half official, if you get my drift. If I ever get to designing them, their renditions will be the base of when I decide to finalize them. Thank you so much guys, I had a lot of fun. Warning to the winners though, if I ever decide to draw those said characters, pardon me if I might change a thing or two…we can blame the artistic license. =P Sorry to those who didn’t win, but I really did enjoy all of your entries and it was seriously a hard choice! Someday I may decide to do something like this again, but for now, please enjoy the winners beautiful art!
  20. Sorry I haven’t been around guys…got tied up with stuff and been kinda sickish. ><; But anyway, the deadline’s over finally! I allowed some late entries to slip in though, so don’t worry about that guys. Anyway, as I begin to decide (which is going to be quite hard!), here’s all the wonderful entries. Feel free to point out what you guys would like, but don’t forget to give a cookie to all of these guys! They made some great stuff and I appreciate it greatly. =D Entries: Member name: Toa Tarik of Fusion Selected Character: Szian's servant. Entry Link: Link. Topic: Link. Also, I have been informed by a few friends that they have entries but they are trying to finish them...If you guys can finish them before tonight (like, 12am), I will add them to the entry list. I'm spending today judging, and either tomorrow or the day after I will announce the winner. But to make sure I don’t do anything unfair by accident, I’m going to ask a few friends who are truly unbiased to these BZP artists (they don’t usually go to BZP, but are familiar with GITS) to throw in their opinion in to assist with the final decision. So hang tight, the winner will be announced soon enough! =)
  21. IMPORTANT UPDATE! I'm extending the deadline to January 18th! A few people requested this because of the busy holiday season. Please notice, this will be the last extension, so please get your entries in! Thank you! Design a ‘glitch’ character contest! Hello everyone! Lately, I’ve been having a fun time with Glitch in the System, and I also am aware a lot of you guys are enjoying it too. So, I thought why not make some fun contest to bring other peoples' ideas in the story? So I considered it, and now this is official: the purpose is to design a minor character in the story. If you win, the design will be that said characters official look in the BZP epic, Glitch in the System. Now let’s get down to the technical stuff. Who are you allowed to design? Well, any minor character of your choice. It could be a character as prominent as Captain Yuuzian, or to those Matoran fishermen we met back in Section 5. Basic Rules: - Like I said above, any minor character is allowed. Characters that are not allowed although are the characters Tachi, Komas, Makuta Szian, Zerak, and Niihlus. - Only one entry per person and you can only design one character. If you feel you should be allowed to enter more than one image, please say so, but I believe I'm going to stick with just one. - Obviously, follow all BZP rules. Nothing too gory, revealing, or offending. - It must be a new drawing never seen before on BZP. - You’re allowed to enter a digital, traditional, or even a 3D design of a character—they can be doing something, or it could just be them in a ‘Character Sheet’. I’m iffy about edits or MoCs cause I want this to be an art contest, but I may make exceptions. - I usually don’t like the voting system, so I will judge and have a few friends offer their opinions. I will also read through the entries and comments to see which entries you guys like the most as well. - I’m going to be as unbiased as possible. I will not be choosing who is the most talented or popular; it will be decided on the originality, and what best suits the character. General Information: - It will depend on the number of entries, but only one or two entries will be the winners. So, I may get a bunch of entries with different characters, but there will only be one ‘canon’ character. The rest of the characters that did not get a final appearance in the contest will be finished by me. - It would be encouraged that you are a GitS admirer, or at least someone who is familiar with it to enter. In my epic, I do describe most characters in one way or another. True, you are the designer, but just be aware of how I originally planned the character. For example, Szian’s servant is green and dangly, so while you can have fun with different approaches, I probably wouldn’t allow someone who made him tall, red, and didn’t suit the GitS theme to win. - If you are uncertain of choosing a character right away—that’s fine. I have two chapters in the works that will be finished (hopefully) before the deadline; you can wait and read those to get a better idea of some characters. You can also contact me to inquire of a character you’d like to draw. - Just to be nice to you guys, here’s a list of the characters that are allowed to be designed. Choose any—I might be missing a few, and any descriptions of the characters you can find yourself. I'd like to know so I can prepare how to organize the contest better. Good luck!

    Late Gift

Not for me, for you guys. Raia specially, cause she's been begging for this. xD New chapter finally posted in Glitch in the System. We're finally back on track in the story and... omg Komas/Tachi shipping. Seriously! 0: Also guys, don't forget about that contest of mine! I'm thinking about extending the deadline, but until then, I'd love to see everyone's entries. =)
  23. And you can take the one thing I have left I'd give it all away for so much less Can even take the heart inside my chest Woah-woah. And you can take the one thing I have left Beat me to the ground and take my breath But you can't take who I am woah-woah. Squeee, can anyone guess who these two are? =D I’m having fun failing at trying to do semi-realistic people, though now I’m stuck trying to decide how’d it be best to colour it… Got any suggestions folks? (And yes you are allowed to point out all the evident flaws, too) Anyway, I was saving this entry to say I have an update in Glitch in the System, but I’m still trying to smooth some plot issues and trying to jump ahead of myself with updates. Usually I’m 3+ chapters ahead of updates, but because of the recent plot add-on I’ve had to do lots of squeezing in-between-older chapters, it’s been a tad confusing. I must say this epic is becoming a lot longer than I anticipated, but I’m still having a blast with it. (How did I write 36,000+ words in less than a few months? O_o) Sorry if this seems like a long, useless entry, I just feel like rambling a bit. Also I just feel so honored and thankful for the somewhat success of GitS, it’s been really encouraging my mood both in life and writing. Thank you everyone! *hugs* =) Oh right, there was a question I have for GitS fans: Okay, I feel that the past few chapters have been somewhat lacking. They are pretty long and you get some information, but I’m afraid I’m dragging things out so we’re not getting anywhere fast. From what I’ve studied, this issue may only be around for a couple more chapters, but I don’t want to bore anyone or make useless longwinded chapters. Do you think I should bring up the pace, or are you guys okay with a few more, slower hinting chapters?

    It Gets Old

You know, it gets really old being one of six siblings sometimes, I don't like being ignored/laughed at. *Sighs* :[ Aside from ranting, don't forget Chapter 9 is up in GitS. And on a lighter note, I and Rapi have learnt something quite interesting, if anyone will get it: Steampunk goggles + Daniel Craig + Frank Sinatra=Komas <3 (Edit: Added images to the math )
