  1. There's something about G2 that bothers me. Why the heck did everyone hate Makuta even before he made the Mask of Ultimate Power? Is it because his masks were terrible in quality or was everyone just a massive jerk to him for fun? If it's the latter, why didn't his own brother defend him or teach him how to craft better masks? Or did Ekimu also join in with the villagers and taunt his brother to the breaking point?
  2. Look, an unevolved dork bug. As per usual, this is a pre-evolution and pre-mutation, G1 Makuta design. I thought this would take the least time to finish but I got stuck on his face, and then Undertale and Gravity Falls happened in my life. And some graduation film progress. You should have seen my first attempt on his face (not the mask, jus the face). Next Makuta up, Spiriah. As always comments, and CC are welcome and make me happy! =) The fragmented shall pierce the Veil, the fragmented shall see the End. 01010100 01101000 01100101 00100000 01100110 01110010 01100001 01100111 01101101 01100101 01101110 01110100 01100101 01100100 00100000 01110011 01101000 01100001 01101100 01101100 00100000 01110000 01101001 01100101 01110010 01100011 01100101 00100000 01110100 01101000 01100101 00100000 01010110 01100101 01101001 01101100 00101100 00100000 01110100 01101000 01100101 00100000 01100110 01110010 01100001 01100111 01101101 01100101 01101110 01110100 01100101 01100100 00100000 01110011 01101000 01100001 01101100 01101100 00100000 01110011 01100101 01100101 00100000 01110100 01101000 01100101 00100000 01000101 01101110 01100100 00101110
  3. So, let's do something out of the box. This is going to be an enterily handdrawn comic, with Makuta (the species) being one of it's main focus! I've been trying to pull together something like this for years, but I only got around doing it only recently. Some of the first pages are going to look a bit wonky, because they have been revised directly from their old work file, but I hope you're going to enjoy the ride nontheless. Diaries of Destral As the title suggests, and mentioned before, this is going to be a mainly Makuta focus comic. The setting is directly a few days before the ending of the Metru Nui civil war, when our good, venerable Teridax is dispatched to the city island to finally solve a 400 years old problem. Chapter 01 - Angry Fish: Makuta Sethuldur, after his apprentice has been abducted by his latest catch, he sets out to save the wayward Toa of Gravity from his rather... erhm.. angry prey. ]Main Cover | Prolouge Cover | Chapter 01 | Prolouge: Page 01 | Page 02 | Page 03 | Page 04 | Page 05 | Page 06 || Chapter 01 : Page 01 | Page 02 | Page 03 | Page 04 | Page 05 | Page 06 | Page 07 | Page 08 | Page 09 | Page 10 | Page 11 | Page 12 | Page 13 | Page 14 | Page 15 | Oct.28th! | 2015-10-21 Edit: Next page up! Next week: FINALLY FIGHT! Someone's gonna have a bad time! Can Seth get Traqq out in time? Characters With clickable links! YAY! The Story so far These icons will be clickable very soon! =) Prolouge: Ironically, our story starts waaaaay down south from the city, at the islandic region of the Twin Gates, where things are dull and peacful usually. Aside from the seasonal super-storms that lay waste to the region every half a year or so. The Matoran population of this forsaken parts of the Domes are strewn across a myriad of tropical islands in villages with only a dwindling number of barely two dozen Toa patrolling on the unpredictable waves and shelves of the ocean on their makeshift boats. Most of these Toa are barely a few seasons old in their office as the frequent storm and other natural elements easily puts a dent on their numbers. Such is like Traqq, the fresh Toa of Gravity, who has joined on a fishing trip with the ever-so adventurous Makuta Sethuldur who often pays a visit to the region, enjoying the hectic nature of the weather and occasionally helping out the ordinary and welcoming people that endure it.
  4. Meet the original boss of the Brotherhood. Following the pattern, this is a pre-evolution rendition of a G1 Makuta, and very likely before Teridax's betrayal. Miserix was actually a real challenge design wise, had to go through several silhouettes before settling at one that still felt buff enough, but wouldn't be TOO top-heavy. His Kanohi needed some heavy figuring out too. Obviously he is the most removed from his original cannon look (x 40ft/12m tall dragon). I tried to go for something more sage like but still make him look like he could snap a Toa in half with his bare hands. I'm not sure if the Brotherhood would actually use any kind of formal wear or anything that would differentiate their leader, but I'm sure Miserix would go for something simple. And I definitely remember somewhere that Greg stated Miserix didn't liked showy stuff? At least that was one of the reasons for shifting the winning MOC design's colour scheme from red to greenish. (???) Though that info might be off. Next Makuta up, Bitil. As always comments, and CC are welcome and make me happy! =) Feed me your comments...
  5. This thread is the place to discuss Makuta from Generation 2. Who is Makuta from Generation 2? ........ Or more importantly, who is he not? He has a truly iconic name that every Bionicle fan knows all too well, but what do we really know about him? We know of the horrors all the Makuta caused in Ganeration 1, but everything we know about the mask maker Makuta from Generation 2 comes from the very first backstory animation released in fall 2014 ........ which is preciously little. Many people depict Generation 2 Makuta as the main villain, but from what I know there is nothing that would indicate him being the main villain. In fact, there is nothing that would even indicate that he is a villain at all. From what I've seen, Makuta might very well be neutral, or even good. But let us recap the history of this character with an iconic name, but a very mysterious history: During the peaceful times of Okoto Makuta and Ekimu forged masks and from what we knew, the Okoto society worked very well at that time, so no traces of either villainy or heroism. The peaceful times ended with Makuta creating the Mask of Ultimate Power. This ended up in a catastrophe, but there is no indication that Makuta would know about the consequences that his jealousy would bring. From all we know he made the first Mask of Ultimate Power in the history of the island, so it seems he couldn't have known of the extent of the powers and the corruption this mask would possess (honestly, why would he intentionally forge and put on a mask that would take control over his body). He might have very well been simply jealous and tried to best his brother in mask forging. In other words, he might have been more I. R. Baboon than Makuta Teridax from Generation 1. Even good people sometimes do a bit of nonsense when they get jealous, but that doesn't necessarily make them evil. This is the place where information on Makuta as a character ends, because after he put on the Mask of Ultimate Power, he lost all control over his actions. As said in the animations, the Mask of Ultimate took control over him, so none of his actions between when he put his mask on and when he was knocked unconscious can be attributed to him. In Genaration 1 Lewa was not evil when he attacked Onua in the Nui Rama nest, he was merely under the control of an infected Kanohi. To me, this seems to be the same situation. All the destrustion to the island that was done was done by the Mask of Ultimate Power, so I would say that if anything, the Mask of Ultimate Power is the main villain of Generation 2. As to events in the 2015 storyline, there is nothing that would suggest that Makuta has been awakened. For all we know, he might very well still be in the slumber he fell into after the Mask of Ultimate Power was knocked down from his face. This is where the history of Generation 2 Makuta ends, so far. In my opinion there is nothing that would suggest that he is good or neutral, but there is also nothing that would suggest that he is evil and there is nothing that would suggest that he is awake as of the events of the golden mask hunt and skeleton war. I would like to hear what other people think about this synopsis that I have written, so I welcome everybody to post his/her opinions on this little text of mine Cheers Umm Durmán
  6. And another one pops up on the internetz: His legs were a real killer. Had to redraw it, because the proportions were waaaaaaaaaay off. But I still wanted to draw him small legs, because I mainly imagine Vamprah to be a flier by default even before Karda-Nui. Also had some issues with face that had to be readjusted later. As always comments, and CC are welcome and make me happy! =)
  7. So let me present you guys another pre-evolution Makuta: And so, Krika is not alone anymore! For the time being. I’m pretty sure they like to drink together whatever swill they can find in the MU and talk slag about Teridax. As always comments, and CC are welcome and make me happy! =)
  8. We have discovered that Ekimu is an Evil Vampire. Ekimu's name starts with E, and has an i. This is shared with the word 'Evil'. Ekimu's name has an e, m, and i. This is shared with the word 'Vampire'. Ekimu was resting in a coffin for a very long time. Ekimu required elemental energy - he feeds on the elemental energy of other beings. He is currently 'discoloured' because he needs more energy, and has manipulated the Toa into giving him elemental energy. Makuta put his face in the sky to prevent Ekimu leaving his resting place, so that Ekimu may never terrorize Okoto. The Skull Skeletons are not controlled by Makuta or Ekimu - they answer to the Lord of Skull Spiders, who, conveniently for Ekimu, is not in close proximity. Makuta is the face in the sky. He has ascended beyond the need for a physical body. The Mask of Control allows him to control Ekimu's sleep... until his control was broken by Ekimu gaining more power from elemental energy. Most villagers on Okoto have been tricked into basically worshipping Ekimu. Ekimu is now free to unleash his minions on Okoto... and unleash them, he did... This is 100% foolproof and anyone that says otherwise is obviously one of Ekimu's minions.
  9. I'm one of those persons who disappear for a very long time then resurface with shiniez. Please have a sketchy Krika from g1, who is still relatively young and not so mopey. I hope to do some more Makuta, so he wouldn't be lonely. Also might continue some left behind comix stuff before things get intense in senior year. As always comments, and CC are welcome and make me happy! =)
  10. And since no one cares, let's see how long before this locks. I have rarely been so disappointed in this forum.
  11. While looking at this topic, I noticed something hilarious about the way the starter described the subject of Makuta's evil plan. Mask of UP UP? Did you say "Mask of... UP?" Well, if you insist. A quick little edit to display the funny. Enjoy.
  12. In an alternate Reign of Shadows timeline... See? This plan is flawless. It was always going to work. Just like the dynasties that came before them, Mata Nui must eventually fall. It is plain destiny that Teridax was going to succeed in his ingenious plan. It has been so cleverly calculated over the course of thousands of years. It all pays off at this very point... for him, at least. On the other hand, it's too good for me. Knowing that Teridax attempted to kill me and my brethren in the heart of the Matoran Universe is unsettling enough. Now, I'm stuck in a measly shack in the abominable island that is Xia. By the Great Beings, I despise this place. Now that Teridax is in control, this place bears a striking resemblance to Karzahni. We have everything here; the slaving Matoran, the uninhabitable, barren landscape, a dictatorial overseer... the list goes on. However, it has gotten progressively worse with the military boom, if you will. For every minute that passes by, another ten Exo-Toa roam the streets and the Universe. In fact, I believe the curfew starts now. Awaiting a thorough and brutal inspection by Exo-Toa in three... two... one... The door is bashed down the towering enforcers with prejudice as they immediately start ransacking the claustrophobic room in a seeking frenzy for any weapons or artifacts. The Exo-Toa are aggressively proficient, managing to search through every chest and compartment in seconds. "Xia Citizen Number 895200, your personal room is free of any items that may pose a threat to our great Overseer. Thank you for your cooperation." says the commanding Exo-Toa in a monotonous, robotic voice. The Exo-Toa then proceed to exit the room in an orderly fashion and do a strip-search of another hundred thousand more personal rooms. Right as they see themselves out and are out of the room, the resident shapeshifts back into his original form. "Well, another day, another inspection," he groans. "That'll be my energy consumption for the day." Elsewhere... "Alright, we're in Xia, now what? We can't just stroll in." says Hafu. "Well, we... can... just stroll in. To them, we're just another bunch of Matoran for the factories to take," replies Garan. "We just need to find our mystery man." "And why exactly do we trust him with this?" queries Idris. "I hear that he's unstable and cannot be trusted." "See here... Idris. This mastermind has a pension for holding a grudge against the current ruler of this universe and having invaluable powers, so this bet is as good as any." responds Garan. "Still unstable though." says Faiyok. "You know, Faiyok, I think it's best if we shut our mouths and go in. Agreed?" commands Garan. Idris, Hafu and Faiyok nod their heads in unison. It was at that point that they stepped into a truly dangerous place. Garan and Idris had each experienced the nightmarish island of Karzahni, but this was far worse. Right as they were walking in the realm of oppression, they have no idea what's in store for them. * * * "Well, back to work it is. Don't you just love supplying military equipment to the cruel Makuta that rules the Universe? Because I certainly don't. Speaking of tiny biomechanical machines that are oppressively ruled by Teridax, where are those Matoran? I thought we agreed on a meeting place. I guess it's back to the drawing board," thinks the resident. He was going to have to establish a telepathic link again. It took a lot of searching and mind-hopping, but he was able to locate Garan in a armour factory. "Time to go," the resident whispers to himself. The resident, attempting to be as discreet as possible, navigates the bustling roads by shapeshifting into a random Matoran to make his way to the armour factory. In the eyes of the resident, all he could see was countless Matoran bumping into each other with the occasional sight of a comparably titanic Exo-Toa. He had been itching for the chance to teleport to the factory, but under the watchful eye of the Exo-Toa, there was no way that he could get away with it in the traditional way. His way involved projecting a being of shadow that acted as a decoy and then teleporting. Using this method, he teleported himself to the factory he was looking for and shapeshifted into an Exo-Toa following his transference. This form would allow him to escort Garan's group out and potentially help them escape. "Ahhh... feels good to be in a body that boasts a fraction of the power of my original form. Glad my height was compensated for, though," the resident thought. Now in an Exo-Toa's body, he marched in and spotted Garan crafting Protosteel gauntlets. After rattling off a robotic command to Garan, Hafu, Faiyok and Idris, the resident escorted the four out of the factory and forced them into a secluded room. Once the five were inside, the resident started speaking to Garan via telepathy. "So there you are, Garan." says the resident. "Yes, Mutran, I'm the Garan in question. Could we just leave the pleasantries for later and get out of this Mata Nui-forsaken place?" replies Garan. "I believe I have the right to be skeptical, Matoran. As for the departure, just hang on for a few seconds." responds Mutran. In an instant, Mutran teleports himself with the four Matoran to a slightly more secluded area. The Matoran were initially shocked at the realisation of such a sudden happening, but they eventually calmed down after looking around and noticing that they were near the entrance of what seemed to be a cave. Faiyok then looked up to Mutran in confusion, expecting an explanation. "Good question, Idris. What is this place? This cave is more of a tuhhh..." "Mutran! Did you just read my mind?" "IDRIS!" Mutran snapped. "Your vocal processors are being unnecessarily disruptive. Let me do the talking." "What could ever make my voice inaudible to you? I can still talk." sassed Faiyok. "Yeah, I've had enough." moaned Mutran. In an instant, Mutran used his Shelek to render Faiyok's voice inaudible and hopefully calm her down. "You're always so... electric. Not a surprise, really." "Enough foolery, what is this place?" asked Garan. "This mountain is particular is known as The Mountain. Such an underwhelming name for a living, breathing rock that can literally eat things. It's also quite amusing that I'm standing at the foot of a mountain that was once my beloved sentient stone, don't you think?" added Mutran. "More amusing that he held emotions for a rock though..." said Hafu under his breath. Mutran gave Hafu a dirty look for his response before commanding the Matoran to go into the cave and through the tunnel. He could tell that they have more than a few questions about this undertaking, but he ignored them and kept signaling them to progress through the tunnel. Mutran had a bit of a distressed look on his face, but continued on despite possible hesitance. Faiyok was fed up at this point, however. "Where is this going, exactly?" questioned Faiyok. "I don't have much time to explain, Matoran. We're running through the oesophagus of the Mountain. Proceed with caution." explained Mutran. Faiyok responded with wide eyes, which prompted her to run faster. Mutran, using his echolocation abilities, was mapping out the inner workings of the Mountain. They were going to have to go deeper into the stomach of the living rock in the hopes of ending up in a subterranean tunnel. The winding oesophagus of the Mountain eventually led into the ‘stomach’ of the Mountain, which had turned out to be a gigantic pool of Protodites. “Why protodites? Any idea...?” asked Hafu confusingly. “Po-Matoran, I think it might be beneficial to beg the question: What would be their purpose?” replied Mutran. “To act as individual assistant digesters?” added Garan. “Spot on. Now, don’t you dare go into their without immediately not going in there. They will quite literally eat you alive.” condescended Mutran. “So why are we here? questioned Idris. “This is our best hope of finding a secluded tunnel. The last people that ended up here became Protodite prey. Won’t see anyone else down here.” said Mutran. “Alright, let’s go in.” In an instant, Mutran had pushed himself and the four Matoran into the Protodite pit without warning. He knew that they would hesitate, so he just had to go for it. Just before the Matoran could reach the Protodites and meet their doom, Mutran had summoned a large-scale stasis attack and focused it down to the pit, freezing all of the billions of Protodites in place. But only for a short moment. Mutran frantically rushes around to locate the Matoran and bring them together and explain to them what is happening. “WHAT IS GOING ON?” screamed Faiyok. “I pushed you four off and into the digestion pit.” responded Mutran. “But that wasn’t me.” “It wasn’t you? Oh, it’s very ‘you’ to push us off.” sassed Hafu. “No... I’m being controlled. Telepathically. Odd, since I have near impenetrable mental shielding...” said Mutran. Just as Mutran had mentioned mental shielding, he had the sudden urge to undo his stasis attack. He had seemed a tad more murderous than usual. Mutran, knowing that he was being telepathically influenced, swiftly teleported himself and the four Matoran to a random location. Anywhere that wasn’t a pit of Protodites was a viable destination for him. This landed the five in a remote jungle in Daxia. “Alright, you Brakas-mind of a Makuta, where are we now?” enquired Faiyok. “I think we’re in... Daxia. Yeah, it’s Daxia.” answered Mutran. “Wait... Daxia? The Order of Mata Nui Daxia? Well, we best...” responded Garan. Mutran was stunned when Garan had mentioned this. For that, he had used his Shelek once again to keep Garan quiet. Mutran was utterly shocked when he heard mention of the Order of Mata Nui from a mere Matoran. Even he had no idea of the Order before the Karda Nui crisis. “Enough of this. We need to find our way to the nearest settlement. Don’t want to be acquainted to a hungry Muaka, do we now?” commanded Mutran. “But Muaka don’t live in jungles...” said Hafu. Mutran, eager to move on and possibly meet another Makuta who wasn’t sided with Teridax, had commanded the four Matoran to advance forward in a random direction through the olive-green thicket. The jungle itself wasn’t quite as lively or dense as one of the rumoured rainforests of Le-Wahi, but it wasn’t a scrubland either. The jungle appeared to be spotted with either puddles of liquid Protodermis or minuscule veins of Protosteel, but in lieu of that, primitive-looking spears and discs were littered among the jungle. Hafu immediately took interest in the discs, picking one up to investigate. The disc didn’t have any noticeable inscriptions or markings, but Hafu didn’t need a name. Even though he frequently made stone sculptures and not Protodermis sculptures, he could tell one type from the other. Upon closer inspection, Hafu felt that the Protodermis type was familiar. He wouldn’t be mistaken, as the Protodermis was a mass-producable, tools-grade Metru Nui Protodermis. Hafu couldn’t look for much longer, though. “Alright, you Matoran, we have to go.” said Mutran. To Be Continued In Chapter 2
  13. Photoshop Elements (Originally drawn on paper) (Click for full-size image) "I am Lord Severain the God-slayer, Ravager of Ta-Koro, And the Greatest Makuta in the universe! ...at least, until someone put these forsaken shackles on me..." So yeah, Official artwork of my Bionifight Infinite Character, Severain. He's basically my interpretation of an over-the-top evil character inspired by the old BZPRPG. Needless to say, I'm rather proud of how this turned out. The background was kind of an afterthought, which is why it's not as impressive as the main man himself. Feel free to leave a comment, maybe critique this a little, etc.
  14. Greetings, lovely readers of my story! First off, thank you for reading. Second, this will be a topic in which can allow you to discuss the story or anything related to the epic in general. Know that I heavily appreciate audience input. If I'm doing something wrong, let me know. If there's something you want to see, there's a slight chance that I might insert that into the story. Good day!
  15. Introduction: My name is Makuta Krika, I live with five other makuta who are also my co-workers! We work for the Brotherhood of Makuta, but we don't do anything special, yet. Currently we're at the rank formally known as “Slug-factory” yeah, we make gross slugs. Bu that's the less-important part of our day, honestly! When we get back from our altogether boring job, we come home to our neighbors, the Toa Nuva, who are always ready to fight us for some reason or another! Mostly just because they're bored, and probably rich, they get all sorts of new gear and stuff form “The Boss” it's outrageous. But yeah, basically that's my life. Go to work, make slugs, go home, get beat up by Toa Nuva. repeat. Fun right? Ep 01a I awake this morning to the familiar chirrup of my alarm clock, shortly before I send my fist down to meet it, but miss it by a mark, and smash my hand into the table. The clock goes sailing through the air, and out the window, chirping all the way. I groggily tilt my torso into a 90-degree position, a tangle of strawberry hair obscuring my face, a line of half-dried drool caking my jaw. I am not a morning person, and never claim to be, mornings make my brain want to honestly immolate itself, and if I could sleep forever I honestly would in a heartbeat, but I guess mornings are there to keep people like me in the loop of useless garbage that most call “society”. Slumping out of bed like some kind of swamp-thing, I drag my frame to the closet to get new clothes. And by “new clothes” I mean “one of my many copies of the same clothes” as I slip out of my faded pinkish-striped pajamas and into a red-and-white tee, followed by a light black jacket and slim black pants. And nothing finishes the “this girl only wears one color” look like red socks, red-and-white sneakers, and a pair of fingerless white gloves. Yep, my fantastic wardrobe of Ill-taste. Me and my cloak of shame haul downstairs so I can put some bland-flavored nutrition in my food-hole, but as I arrive at the bottom step, I am greeted by none other than... “Well, well, well. Look who finally came crawling into the light,” Sitting across from me, and all decked out in black, grey, and a sightly different shade of grey. Is Makuta Chirox, Jerklord Extraordinaire. “So, Kik, how was hibernation this year? Judging by your hair, I can see you've already been working on the “hideous unkempt bear” look.” I open my mouth for a steamed retort, but am interrupted by the door, “Hey, I was just outside fetching the paper, and for some reason this clock comes out of nowhere and-” “Oh, hey Kik, didn't expect to see you so awake this early! ...Or so angry this early, for that matter.” Antroz produces a weak laugh and awkwardly moves himself out of range of my steel-melting glare, which is now at maximum power and in danger of blowing a fuse. And i probably would, if another person hadn't entered the room, “ALRIGHT KIDDIES, PLAYTIME'S OVER,” Gorast is a big muscular woman, with black spikey hair that's dyed green at the tips, her shirts are all rather tight-fitting, and she wears almost entirely shades of green. This morning, parts of her seem to still be damp with water. “I just took a shower and I am so hungry i could eat a mana-ko,” “And I don't mean just the organic parts.” She was about as steamed as I was today, but then again, she was always steamed. Sometimes we even manage cook broccoli on her forehead. I watch her as she flings the fridge door open with enough force to make one fear for its hinges. Mumbling incoherently as she rummages through our shared perishable goods, I can faintly hear “whydon'twehaveanyrealfood” or, something like it. “HEY.” She blurted out after a time, “ALRIGHT WHO DID IT?” Chirox cranes his head around, “Well, That depends... What is “it” this time?” “And, if possible, can “it” be considered Vamprah's fault for all intents and purposes?” Chirox grinned and Gorast scowled, “Someone, has been drinking from the milk jug again,” She pulled the empty jug from the fridge for all to see. turning it over to mphasise its emptitude. “AND, they left the empty jug in there when they finished!” And she tossed the jug at Vamprah's head, which it rang off like a bell. The blue makuta responds with nothing more than a nod and a thumbs-up, promoting another scowl and something mumbled that sounds like “disgusting.” I turn away to face Antroz, who was just folding up a paper he had been reading, “Well folks,” he begins “It's a weekend so no work today... Anything new this morning, hmm?” Gorast slamms the fridge door with enough force to break the hinges she had been tormenting earler, “Well, we need milk.” Causing them to buckle and release the door to collapse dramatically onto the floor. “...and a new refridgerator door.” “Right then,” replies Antroz “Some grocery shopping seems to be in order! Who's turn is it this week?” The final member of the room, a quiet, brooding sort in yellow-black-and-red by the name of Bitil, goes over to the bulletin board, containing a table of names and dates, "Hm, Let's see... Laundry – Krika. Bathrooms – Krika. Yard – Krika. Dishes – Vamprah. Groceries... Hm, seems to be Krika this week.” Annnd of course it's me, I am absolutely, completely shocked at this development, which I totally didn't see coming a mile and a half away. That last sentence? That was me being sarcastic. I do my best to hide my exaggerated sigh, (which is nothing) and grab a list off the voard, “Fine, what do we need?” the list paper has a picture of a chibi-Teridax in the corner, gleefully jotting down his to-do's in the entrails of his enemies. The makuta in the room begin listing off things to buy, starting with the aforementiond “milk, fridge,” and continuing with “towels, soap, flour, clocks, nails, kanoka disks...” By the itme we're done, we have a list as long as I am tall, made entirely of taped-together Chibi-kuta mini-lists. I push strawberry bangs from my forehead and exhale, “well that's... something.” before turning to the others, “sure that's everything?” I say, before continuing with “Don't answer that.” and another sigh. “Well, here I go...” I mosey on over to the front door, “Out the door,” I stick my legs out the door, but lean in through the frame, “I'm leaving,” I lean my head in forther as I push my torso through, “Goodbye,” My hair brushes across the frame but i'm obviously still lagging in the doorway, “have a nice-” “For Mata-Nui's sake Kik, close the door before you let rahi in!” Shouted Gorast. I jut my entire upper body back in with a huff, “Fine fine, i'm goooone.” I trail as the door closes between the room and I, for good this time. [Well here it is, another for the pile of "things i did because i was experimenting and being weird again...." "in comedy form"] [Also, take note that this is "Ep 01a" it turns out the episode was getting too long wordswise and i figured i'd split it up, so you won't see Kik go grocery shopping until the next one, Ep 01b, sorry! ] [Anyway, comments critique, etc etc etc. y'know the dril.] (also also also, i know the premise listed in the intro hasn't actually shown up at all, the grocery shopping idea is just the first one i ended up expanding upon, the promised Nuva/Makuta feuding will happen, i swear. :u)
  16. I was looking at BS01's Kraata Variations page when I realized something. According to the page, stage 6 Kraata can't shapeshift to change their own mass. That's consistent with how Makuta shapeshifting works--they need to absorb things to increase their mass. But then how does Density Control, another Kraata power, work? Stage 6 Density Control Kraata have "[c]omplete control over own density," and density is mass per unit volume, so by increasing their density aren't Makuta by definition increasing their mass? In that case, why couldn't Terry have taken on his Ultimate Dume form without killing Nidhiki and co. by 1) shapeshifting into Ultimate Dume and then 2) increasing his density -> his mass? Clearly I'm way overthinking this.
  17. http://maskofdestiny.com/archiveimage.asp?i=5823 I'd take incomplete sets as well, but they would have to include specific pieces I can't get and be mostly complete. I have many items to trade if you're interested in that, or I can just pay cash. If you have a complete set, please let me know so we can work out a deal.
  18. In difficult times with a mad great being running around killing everyone, there are unlikely alliances. Here is my custom team of allies. Formed of two Toa, a surviving Makuta and two members of unknown species. Malakai The leader of the team, Malakai formed the merry band (with great difficulty) to try and survive the conflicts going on currently. Originally serving the purpose of merely serving the Agori villages, Malakai snapped in a fit of rage one day after being injured severely, resulting in the deaths of 400 Agori and his inevitable exile. Many years later, he still promises to pay Raanu a visit, and at last get his revenge. Nowadays, Malakai is a very well known warrior and engineer, he is known for leaving no bodies behind and his custom scope, used to track micro fractures in armour. Makuta Sythodias Not much is known about him, but it is rumored that because of his knowledge of Terridax's plan, he was able to avoid certain death in the swamps of Karda Nui. He only has one regret, not killing his ruthless leader Icarax before. His fighting style consists of horrifying his opponents with nightmarish visions, before swiftly finishing them with his blade. Skakruk The murderous psychotic monster inside the four armed body is not to be messed with. Possessing the ability to track down his enemies expertly and regrow lost limbs, Skakruk is a force to be reckoned with. They say his stare is like a thousand lave eels crawling under your armour. To bad nobody has lived long enough in his hunt to find out. Toa Damarus The former leader of a legendary team of Toa, Damarus was shunned by many after a catastrophic failure resulted in the death of most of his team. His form of combat is a strange one, consisting of only the use of his elemental powers and no tools or weapons for defense. He still wears his armour given to him by the most talented Matoran, as a reminder of his glory days. Now the armour slowly fades in colour, with his regret building up each day. Toa Komek Komek is usually quiet and reserved in between battles. In the middle of a heated fight, he is a completely different story. He becomes a raging motormouth with multiple personalities and a wide range of fighting styles, adapted with his fire sword skills, which he gladly demonstrates on enemies. Because of this, Komek has accidentally killed a few of his foes in cold blood, causing him to be more feared by the Matoran he swore to protect. Nobody knows what is more scarred, his body or his mind. He is now a member of this group, as he has nothing left except to find meaning in death.

  20. NOTE: I have built MOCs of the Shadow Toa, which can be found here: http://www.bzpower.com/board/topic/15347-the-shadow-toa/ Review thread here: http://www.bzpower.com/board/topic/15352-review-trials-of-the-shadow-toa/ Chapter 1 He awoke to the sound of water lapping on a shore. The sound made him feel at peace, as though nothing could go wrong with the world. Then he tried to move, and excruciating pain shot through every molecule of his being. He felt his muscles, his organs, all soft tissue in his body dissolve. A horrid scream erupted from his metallic mouth as his body writhed in the sand. Finally, the convulsions ceased, the pain left as quickly as it came. Gingerly, the suspicious being tried to move his index finger. The appendage obeyed it's master's commands with no trouble. Odd, he thought. Deciding that laying on the sand wouldn't give him answers, he stood up. There remained not even a clue to indicate the torture he endured, save the fact that his whole body now felt...different. When he raised his arms, he no longer felt a muscle flex, but a hinge creak and a piston hiss. Realizing he could find no more answers about what happened to him, he decided to scan his surroundings to see where he was. On the shore about twenty paces away was a gold-colored kanohi. Noticing for the first time that he wasn't wearing a mask, he walked over to it, his stride wobbly and awkward. Another oddity, he thought. I don't remember having such long legs. He bent to pick up the mask. Come to think of it, I don't remember anything. He donned the mask, and felt energy surge through his body. This is more my style, he thought with a grin. Now, let's see what else is here. Seeing nothing else in the immediate area besides some flying rahi, the newly masked being strode along the coastline. He noted that since he donned the mask, he walked with ease, as though he had long legs his whole life. After about ten minutes of walking, he spotted a badly damaged cage smashed against a large rock. Upon inspection, he found a plate on what he could only assume was once the door that had on it the word "Nulehk". Nulehk. Hm. Seems to me that word is familiar. A name, perhaps? He turned the plate over in his hands, and found the image of the mask he wore carved into the metal. My name? He contemplated the word. "Nulehk. Noo-leck". He thought his voice sounded strange, but the word seemed right. Nulehk it is, then. Feeling like the island he was on was potentially dangerous, Nulehk grabbed two bars from the cage and walked inland. * * * * Kotan walked up the mountain, head groggy and full of dark memories and images. He hated it here, a barren place with sand and rocks everywhere. Not a single tree in sight on the whole island. He didn't even know why he was climbing the mountain(which was becoming more and more apparent was a live volcano), except for the feeling of high altitude winds. Kotan tried to shake the clouds from his mind, but couldn't. "Think, Kotan", he said to himself as he sat down on a rock to rest. "You are a Toa. Of air, by your armor color. You were given a special task...and you somehow woke up in a pile of metal scraps on this barren wasteland. And you developed a habit of talking to yourself. Or have you always done that?" He sighed as he could remember no more. "At least I remembered my name", he chuckled. "Talking to oneself is difficult when one doesn't even know their own name." He continued his ascent. * * * * The Toa grunted as he hefted his warhammer out of the mess that used to be a young Tahtorak. Rage burned within his very being, odium at the world in general. He hated that he was here, on this hot, rocky island. He hated that all he could remember were three names. He hated most of all, though, that he couldn't tell which one was his, or if any were at all. Nulehk, Mutran, and Outa. Each seemed familiar and foreign at the same time. He looked down at his hands. They were dark blue. That makes no sense. I'm a Toa of water? I thought they were only female. He looked out to the sea. It won't hurt to try, I guess. He lifted his hands and concentrated on the water, not entirely sure how a Toa uses their elemental energies. Suddenly, his arms burst with sky-blue and black crackles of energy, and a spire of ice shot out of the ocean. Close, he thought. This still doesn't explain who I am, how I got here, or why there's a broken cage here. Calming himself, he put away his hammer and shield. I guess until I learn more, I can call myself Ko-Toa. After all, I must have been a Ko-Matoran once, right? Ko-Toa was not entirely convinced of that theory.
  21. Pictures link to larger ones on brickshelf. Please upvote and comment... Front Back Makuta vs. Tahu The Battle Continues The Master of Nothing vs. The Master of Fire Makuta's Army The Battle Rages On Before you all start crying because this is the end, no need to worry. I've got several other MOCs in the que that are already built and ready to release. (seven, in fact, that I can see on my shelf).
  22. Okay, I've got this totally crazy theory about how the classic Bionicle and the new one are linked. Bionicle G1, as we know, was a multi-year toyline made by Lego. It had an original story beginning with elemental heroes battling the evil Makuta in order to save their island home. Bionicle G2 might seem at first to have a completely different story. But in fact, it's ALSO based on a toyline made by Lego! Additionally, it's ALSO about elemental heroes (who even have the same names!) fighting an evil entity, also named Makuta, to save an island! Some of the details are different (mask powers, the name of the guardian entity the heroes hope to revive, the specific foes Makuta enlists to fight the Toa), but the core storyline is clearly very similar. Now this might sound insane, but bear with me. What if the new storyline is a REBOOT of the classic storyline, which carries over elements of the original to tell a new story for a new generation? That would perfectly explain the shared elements of the two storylines, while also accounting for the differences between them! There are some definite clues that this theory might be correct. For instance, at the Bionicle 2015 reveal at New York Comic Con, the Lego representatives at hand stated early on that the new story was a reboot, without any qualifying statements attached that might suggest an alternative meaning of the term. Greg Farshtey, the writer of the original Bionicle story, also claimed that the new line was a reboot of the original story. While neither of these hints are definitive (after all, it's not unheard of for writers and creative professionals to lie to the faces of their most fervent fans), when combined with the similarities and differences in the two storylines it seems to be a plausible theory. But this is all speculation. What do YOU think of the possibility of a "reboot" of the classic storyline? Feel free to share your thoughts along with evidence you might have noticed yourselves!
  23. Ever since Greg Farshtey approved the idea that Melding Makuta have Courage and Peace instead of Anger and Fear, I've seen people claiming that they should also have Creation, Purity, Prosperity, and Faith. ArcticFreeze17 has a topic about the various powers he thinks Melding Makuta should have, and he's hardly the first. There have even been edits made to BS01 to that effect (which I have had to reverse). Thus, I'm asking the community to decide if we want to ask Greg to canonize the idea. Do you want to ask Greg to canonize any or all of the following? The Melding Makuta possess the power of Faith instead of Fragmentation. The Melding Makuta possess the power of Creation instead of Disintegration. The Melding Makuta possess the power of Purity instead of Poison. The Melding Makuta possess the power of Prosperity instead of Hunger.Keep in mind that Greg has the final say over this. Even if a majority say that we should ask Greg, he has the power to say no. One additional note: In Reign of Shadows, Alternate Teridax fights a Shadow Takanuva and shatters him into pieces. This would imply that the Melding Makuta do, at least, possess the power of Fragmentation -- or that they have a power with a similar effect. Please keep this in mind during the discussion.
  24. http://imgur.com/a/4UH2w I'm going to start off by saying this build was largely experimental, this is not the final version of this character. (yes that mask is a 3D print, it costed me $45 USD without shipping. I seleted the "matte black steel" option) It was difficult making the torso proportional to his legs because I wanted to include as much detail as the movie from possible, and this extended the middle of the legs quite a bit. I do like how large this figure is, but the mask looks a bit small on that torso compared to the movie. That will be taken care of in an updated version of him. I'm not sure if this looks too "busy", it was not easy to try and prevent pieces from looking they were slapped on, especially in the legs. I wish some of those technic pieces came in dark red, at least his hands match some of the movie color. Surprisingly he's very sturdy - don't ask me how that's possible with those ankle connections. I'll post instructions if people want them. Let me know what you think! Suggestions and criticism are welcome.
  25. Hey, guys! Came up with another MOC recently. I've built him surprisingly quickly from scratch in mere 2 hours. Turaga Makuta is actually an impersonation of my friend, whose nickname is Turaga Makuta. Maybe you remember that guy with LoMN covers and this story with Nathan Furst. Well, enjoy. And here is the gallery on flickr.
