  1. Hello everyone this is my first review and it's on the Ninjago Knockoff sets known as Ninja Tornado Ninja, I can't show you the boxes because when I have gotten them, they never came with there boxes only the parts in there bags. now let me show you what they look like and hope you like my first review on the knockoff sets. The Price I have gotten them all together is $30 but I don't know how much it is for just one of them. Now this is something new because normally of what I know of, knockoff are mainly copy of a original Hero Factory, Bionicle or any other Lego sets but this is different, instead of making copy of set, they made there own set with a copy of a Lego Theme (that is Ninjago). The only sad thing is that there aren't any Black Ninja (Cole) and the Green Ninja. There really nothing much to say about there build because they are mainly the same build as a Normal Ultrabuild sets. also the sets quality are alright but the feet and one of the Yellow Heads cracked the 2nd time I put it on. Instructionsand and Extra Pieces: I mainly would just say "here the Instruction nothing much to it" the end let's party, at the end of that part but I it's different from Lego Ultrabuild Instruction for Normal size. The Instructions are in my opinion better then Lego Instructions of ultrabuild sets (for normal size), it don't use a Instructions book and it a little better to follow and no need to flip page to page and also put the Instruction for the weapon in one part of the page and not in like 3 pages. Also the Extra Pieces for all four of theme are 4 Red Axle (ones without Notches) and 4 Black Pin. Cards: The card look great and look a lot like the same cards that Lego had made the only thing that is different is that the back of the card have Zane and that it feels a little like sand paper. I don't know if they come in as random but if anyone getting these set's please let me know. New Parts and Recolors: The Body Armor recolor look amazing and looks like the Minifigures but have some things different with Jay they used the Rebooted Torso and the difference is that it's not all in a Blue color, Kai they used the ZX Torso and the difference with it is that the Stars are on the left and not the right, Lloyd they used the Gold Ninja Torso and the difference is the same as Jay. With Zane Torso is that it nothing the same from any of Zane torso but used Cole Rebooted Torso. Another amazing thing is that it have a Red and Blue body armor and Red is a good thing because Lego have shown a Red Body armor before and never made it into a set. The other recolor parts look great for making some good MOCs and we are going to have the Brain Attack Sword in Black from Zane and Gold from Kai plus I am going to love using that Black Brain Attack Sword, the gold one we are getting two in a office Lego Ninjago set in the summer of 2014 but it's good that we can get it before it comes out. Another thing that great about Lloyd I MEAN the Golden Ninja is that it have Golden Hand, so you can give Rocka gold hands and you don't have to keep waiting for Lego to make a Gold Hand (where your Gold Hands Lego), there are also Gold Technics pieces, I don't know what use that is for MOCing but if you're crazy about gold (like Lego) then here your Gold Technic parts. The set's also have Blue and White Size 4 Armor, the White from Zane & Kai and the Blue from Jay, plus the armor would be great for HF MOC makers. Last we also get a Breakout Sword in all Silver, Silver Spike, Black Axle 4 with Stop, Axe/Sword thing in Silver and Flame/Lightning Boltin Trans-Blue. Now my favorite thing about this, the Glatorian Head recolor and Ninja Masks, they look awesome a look like they put more in the mask and they can be great for a Ninja MOC, of what you can see they come in Blue, White, Red and Gold but again the sadly there isn't a Cole and Green Ninja so that there is a Green and Black Ninja Mask. The Glatorian Head in Yellow and have Black Eyes look great but don't like that all four of the Ninja have the same eyes (but that just me). Weapons and Upgraded parts 1. The weapons are nothing new and the don't know the name of some of the weapons, one of Kai weapon is mainly Ogrum Weapon but the good thing is if you have a love for Chain Piece like me then you can get more of those Chain from Kai. 2. Of what you can see, HF Hand, Axle Connector 2 x 3 Quadruple, Axle Connector and Half of a Spiked Ball don't have anything from stopping it from going through the axle connector and to me this is a good thing with the Axle Connector 2 x 3 Quadruple and HF Hands because with a MOCer like me, you can do a lot more with something like that. Backpack Thingy: Here how they put the Ninja Sword (aka brain Attack sword) on it's back and I really do like the Idea of this and that just back it with this... moving on. Gold and White Ninja: Set name: Golden Ninja Set Number: 504 Pieces: 53 Set name: White Ninja Set Number: 503 Pieces: 51 Just putting this out there, In my Opinion these two are my favorite out of the four. Blue and Red Ninja: Set name: Blue Ninja Set Number: 502 Pieces: 59 Set name: Red Ninja Set Number: 501 Pieces: 75 -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Riaso: RIASOOOOOOOGO Ninja red: WHO IS THIS GUY Ninja White: I have no idea Overall the set's are Alright set's and I give it a 7/10 if you want to have a Ninja Mask, a new color of the Glatorian Head and a lot of new recolor and if you want to have Ultrabuilds of the ninjago Characters then I do recommend it.
  2. (I'm pretty sure this belongs here; this is mostly related to the concept and story and not the sets so this seems like the appropriate place.) Ninjago. A story-based LEGO line that boomed in popularity soon after showing up. I've seen praise for its set design, for its in-depth story, for just about anything to do with it. Amidst all the praise, however, one pretty major flaw is always glossed over. Ninjago would be nothing without the Western appropriation of Japanese culture. That's it, plain and simple. The very concept is ripped and mangled straight from Japanese history books, and molded with assorted junk into a line that seeks to please the desire for faux-Asian products in the West. Ninja have gone from spies to warriors who spin in circles and bash into each other. Dragons are a chimera of Western and Eastern influences. Japanese temples become props for NinjaTM WeaponsTM. Quite frankly, it disappoints me that nobody has bothered to think any further about this than "lol ninjaz r cool". Now, I suppose first I should specify what cultural appropriation is. It is, specifically, taking something important from a culture, disregarding the actual importance it has to the culture, and making it your own thing with little to no regard for what it actually is. With that in mind, it becomes easier to see how Ninjago has stomped upon Japanese culture and ground it into something malleable for Westerners who want to make a quick buck off of it. Let's start with the Ninja. First of all, the ninja seen in Ninjago are clearly based on the cultural misconception of ninja as warriors. Their main purpose is to fight. They rarely sheath their weapons and the only purpose to the face mask is to evoke the Ninja image. A warrior doesn't need a face mask. Do you know who does? A spy. That's what ninja were, simplifying it for the sake of keeping things simple. They slunk about, keeping their faces hidden, and usually their weapons sheathed. Obviously, these ninja are ninja in name only. Speaking of names, let's get back to the part where the culture is stolen from its origins. The "ninja"'s names are Kai, Zane, Cole, Jay, and Lloyd. Only Kai and his sister, Nya, have names that sound Japanese, though I cannot confirm that they are. The others are clearly Western in origin, and, to my knowledge, all have American accents in the TV show. These ninja aren't even Japanese ninja. They're American corruptions of the idea. Even Sensei Wu doesn't have a Japanese name; in the Hiragana alphabet, there is no wu sound. (Garmadon is another fraud, obvious in the juxtaposition of the r and the m, the closest Japanese could get is Gaamadon or Garumadon.) Also unable to be made out of Japanese characters is their "power", Spinjitzu. The name is clearly a corruption of ninjutsu ( which is actually a martial art that focuses on, oh glory be, not fighting, but stealth, and disguise, and thrown weapons, almost as if it was used by.... spies!), turning an aspect of Japanese culture into a fun little play feature for toys. I could go on about how temples went from spiritual to weapons caches, and dragons went from wise ancient creatures to the Western idea of brutish beasts (speaking solely from promotional art here, as I have not seen any episodes of the series with dragons), and how much of the lore seems to be a corruption of Japanese legends, but I think that by merely showing how the concept of the ninja was torn apart, sewed back into a Frankenstein monster, and mass produced for the greed of Westerners, I can make my point. This line is not celebrating Japanese culture. It is making a mockery of it.
  3. So for those of you who watch/follow Ninjago, which is your favorite Ninja? Mine is Jay, he is funny, fast, and he says things the way they are. (Most of the time) So who is it?
  4. So yesterday after watching an AMAZING episode of My Little Pony, Aanchir, Meiko and I went up to Potomac Mills to see Catching Fire before it left theaters for good. As I expected, it was excellent. And as a bonus, we got to visit the Lego store! My haul was as follows: 70803 Cloud Cuckoo Palace 70724 NinjaCopter President Business Collectible Minifigure Emmet Poster, Wyldstyle Poster (which I missed last week), and Benny Poster Build-a-Mini Pick-a-Brick Cup (including, among other things, more than a hundred each of Olive Green cheese slopes and Light Bley 1x1 round tiles) Uni-Kitty Key Light (not from the Lego store, but from the Books-a-Million which a Lego store employee helpfully informed me had two in stock) Rainbow Dash and the Daring Do Double Dare (also from Books-a-Million, obviously) Meiko also picked up 71006 The Simpsons House to review, as well as 70808 Super Cycle Chase. All in all, a good day. And I'm now the proud owner of two Uni-Kittys (the fig itself and a light-up keychain). It was a somewhat modest haul for a trip to the Lego store, but it was satisfying, and I'll be able to pick up the slack next month when I visit as part of the BZPower Lego Movie Meetup!
  5. I thought I'd share a project I'd been working on for a while! This is a Ninjago-themed Advent Calendar I designed to put on Lego Cuusoo. I put a lot of work into designing a variety of small and interesting models based on the theme. I'll link to my pictures on Flickr, since I've already given them detailed descriptions there. Also, if you like what you see, I encourage you to support it on Cuusoo! 6. 1) What happened to Sensei Wu's lesson book? (After Lloyd stole it. Did Sensei get it back, and do you think the robots will have an interest in it?) 2) How do you think Sensei is going to end up on the robots' side? 3) Do you think Jay can produce less than 1.21 gigawatts at a time, in order to restore an electronic device, or is it a one-size-blast all? 4) Should Dareth come back sometime in this season, and bring his stone army with him? (Or is he too annoying? I seem to be fuzzy on whether the army was destroyed or just in Dareth's hands.)
  7. Okay, I just want to know your opinion for this. Since the Bionicle line lasted 10 years, how long do you think the Hero Factory, Ninjago, and Chima sets will last?
  8. Presentation From the design of the box to the instruction manual, these are the first things you see before building the set. Here we have a plastic baggie, much like the new HF ones, only much, much smaller. On the front we have a character drawing of Lizaru in the center, with a preview at the parts below. To the bottom right we can see that it's a booster pack for one of the newer Ninjago spinners. And how could we forget the Ninjago and LEGO logos? On the back, we have advertisements for other booster packs, how this booster pack is to be used (don't swallow the bricks kids!), and the legal information. This bag is a little entertaining, but it is very cluttered. Building Half the fun is had building the set. How fun is it to build and how easy or challenging is it? There really isn't much to say here, you build the minifigure and his accesories, then you're done. They are pretty cool though. I really love that golden ax. Set Design Now that the set is complete, we can critique how it looks from every angle. New or interesting pieces can also be examined here. There isn't much design to the set, but it's a set none the less. The Lizaru minifigure is really nicely done. The printing is continued on almost every side of the body, the frond being my favorite (look at that scar!). The scaly look carries over him very nicely. The only bad thing about the figure is the head. It has NO articulation at all. But the eyes and printing somewhat make up for it, however. The only really interesting thing that I found were the trans-light green snake things. They don't really do much, but they look pretty cool. Playability The other half of the fun is in playing with the set. How well does the set function and is it enjoyable to play with? You all probably know how to play with a minifigure, but for those who don't, you grasp it between two fingers and make it hop up and down (to imitate walking) and add in the dialogue. In this case, you pick up the minifigure with his golden ax, and (in the most snake-like voice you can imagine) say something like "imma gonna kill you wit mah golden ax!!!" Final Thoughts Once it's all said and done, how does the set stack up? Should I get it? Pros What's to like? Lizaru!Golden Ax!Trans-light-green snake-things! Cons What's not to like? Not much articulationNot much you can do with the spinner accesories if you don't have a spinner. All in all, pretty good minifigure, pretty good parts, pretty good set.
  9. I was thinking about how Ninjago's story compares to BIONICLE, specifically on the subject of character development. Now, naturally, what I'm about to say is going to be disputed. But personally, I feel Ninjago is stronger than BIONICLE in terms of character development, and here's why: Compared to BIONICLE, LEGO Ninjago explores its characters and shows their development on a much more individual level than BIONICLE often did. Obviously the TV-series format is a major asset here. Certain episodes can be geared towards exploring and developing certain characters. The ways that the Ninja have independently come to unlock their true potential in episodes seven through nine are good examples of this. Now, BIONICLE did have strong individual character development in certain arcs. Mask of Light showed individual growth for some of the Toa (mainly Tahu) as well as its stars Jaller and Takua. Legends of Metru Nui gave Vakama a great deal of character development. Vakama's character development continued in Web of Shadows, along with character development for Matau. Mata Nui underwent character development in The Legend Reborn. You should be sensing a pattern here. The strongest character development for individuals in the series tended to take place in movies-- or in the very least, during years that had movies to tie them together. The BIONICLE comics, on the other hand, had very little individual character development-- most of the Toa's challenges were overcome through teamwork, and thus individuals rarely had a chance to show growth-- at best, their already-acquired traits would shine when they were needed to help a teammate. The books are an odd case. Some of them were pretty great in terms of character development. My favorite story arc for character development was 2007, when we saw some great changes in personality among the Toa Mahri, and the reasons for these changes were explored. One of the most memorable scenes ever, for me, was when Jaller and Kongu discuss why Kongu had become such a joker since going on Jaller's quest. Kongu reveals that this was a coping technique he learned my trying to follow the example Toa Lewa set as a lighthearted free spirit. In this, an inconsistency between his 2001-2003 portrayal as a disciplined military leader and his 2006-2007 portrayal as comic relief was made into an example of personal growth. At the same time, I don't think this was character development that many readers caught onto, and it demonstrates how in BIONICLE, individual character growth took a back seat to adventure, happening mainly behind-the-scenes. It's similar to some of the character growth we see in Hero Factory under close examination. In 2010 Bulk was established as a dull character with little mental capacity, and a character bio mentioned that he was extremely self-conscious about this. Later, in Savage Planet, a big deal is made of the fact that he's been reading lately, culminating when Furno addresses him as "big guy", to which Bulk replies indignantly "I'm more than just the big guy!" For those fans who followed the story from its origins, this is monumental character development, but it mostly happened backstage. A similar perceived inconsistency, Natalie Breez's vocal feminism in Ordeal of Fire, wasn't really character development, but that characterization had previously been seen in 2010's Hero Factory FM podcast, when she came on as a special guest to rebuke Tibor Terrell's gag-worthy Hero Factory: The Musical, which cast her as William Furno's love interest. She was quick to point out that her responsibilities as a Hero came first, and she had no interest in romantic pursuits, especially with her teammates. She also spoke on how for outsiders, Hero Factory was usually associated with burly male Heroes, and that as a female Hero she hoped to do away with some of this prejudice. But back on topic. It's pretty clear to me that actual character growth, with characters uncovering answers about themselves and maturing as characters, did not tend to take the forefront very often in BIONICLE any more than it does in Hero Factory. Adventure is the name of the game. Is this a fault of Greg Farshtey's writing? Hardly. He handles character development and characterization quite well in the Ninjago theme. I can attest to the level of character development in the four Ninjago novels Kai: Ninja of Fire, Zane: Ninja of Ice, Cole: Ninja of Earth, and Jay: Ninja of Lightning. While the 2011 Ninjago TV episodes focused almost entirely on Kai, these four books explore all four Ninja's characters a lot deeper, even touching on things not explored in the TV show until the 2012 season like Zane's mysterious past and Jay's embarrassing upbringing. So I think the lack of individual character development in BIONICLE is more a symptom of its very objective-based storytelling and not any one author's storytelling style. In BIONICLE, there was always an overarching mission the Toa were pursuing. Hero Factory's story is also very objective-based, although the "objective" tends to be the more repetitive "capture the Monster of the Week". Ninjago's has objectives, but its objectives are often more individual than BIONICLE's. Each Ninja has their own reason for being a part of the team, not just because of the Power of Teamwork or the team being chosen for them by destiny and/or manufacture. And each Ninja has personal struggles to overcome if they hope to succeed as Ninjago's protectors. Any thoughts on this theory? I realize I rambled more than I probably should have, but I'd still love to hear if others agree, disagree, or think my reasoning is based on flawed principles in the first place and that BIONICLE had more outstanding character development than I remember.
  10. Truth to tell, I'm not drooling over the Chima sets. That usually comes after I see the story either online or on the screen. What i learned so far is the Chima has 5 tribes: Lion, Wolf, Croc, Eagle and Raven. But that isn't the only animal/man minifigs Lego has produced. Thanks to Ninjago's Serpentine wave, we a long lost Snake tribe ready to join the fight. Even better, the Fangpyre sets also have machine and vehicles. This is the perfect time too, because many of these sets are heading for the discount bin to clear shelf space for the Chima sets. So now is the time to create a Chima tribe out of the Ninjago sets.
  11. I'm going to Hawaii in a couple weeks and I wanted to take advantage of that opportunity and make a bionicle or Lego based film! And tell me any ideas or any typos or misspellings :DOk so here's my idea, A kid lives on an island that was formerly mata Nui, he stumbles upon something on the beach, It turs out that it's the mask of time !And he researches about it and finds out there should be more masks and he goes around trying to find clues a bout t what happened Although I still need a plot and some more concepts, And I'm working on a vahi that looks old and rusted from ages of burial
  12. Spitfire was surprised when her invitation to the family's annual reunion gave a location other than the family's ancestral home of Ignacia. Flying to the destination coordinates provided in the invitation, she was surprised to find her cousins Kai and Nya waiting for her aboard a magnificent airship, along with Nya's new boyfriend Jay and the other friends they had made on their adventures. My entry for a certain pony blog's Artist Training Grounds - Family Reunion Edition, which ended yesterday. I actually began to put together the ideas for this artwork during the previous week's Artist Training Grounds, during which I learned that Spitfire from My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic shares a voice actress with Nya from LEGO Ninjago: Masters of Spinjitzu. I had previously drawn pony versions of the Ninja and Nya quite a while ago (don't post there, topic is dead), but this gave me an excuse just contrived enough to draw them again (Nya and Spitfire both have stylized phoenix cutie marks! =D ). While I couldn't find a funny/heartwarming way to express the idea of the two being related that week, this week's "family reunion" prompts were too good to pass up.Most of this was drawn on the road from my Nana's house in North Carolina back to my house in Virginia, so the lineart is very sketchy, and the Destiny's Bounty is probably horribly off-model. The idea of Kai, Nya, and Spitfire reuniting aboard the Destiny's Bounty in this way was probably also too ambitious for me to really do well in just one day. But the important thing is that I'm trying to get in the habit of drawing ponies more often. I'll probably never have the skill of pony artists like Jiayi, but hopefully one day I'll have at least enough skill to get on this pony blog's "Drawfriend" from time to time.
  13. When I first saw pics that the Samurai Mech was going to be a set. I wanted it so much. Once I got it. It took a few bricklink orders but I was able to revamp it to be more show accurate. Also being a fan of Nya I got both the Samurai X spinner and the Nya spinner. There are a lot of pics below so here is the gallery when its public. In the gallery is an Lxf file for the mech and card stand built in Ldd if you wish to build this yourself. (In the model there are parts that aren't attached since they won't attach in Ldd. But they will attach in real life. The bottom of the sword also won't attach in Ldd but will attach in real life. Also I've built the thumb differently since recently I've figured out how to build a realistic thumb for the mech in real life.) http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=518691 So here are some pics of my Nya minifigs (All of them wear the ring from the lord of the rings sets. It represents the bracelet Nya had in the show) Samurai X front (I used the head from Spyclops since it best matched the goggles Samurai X had in the show) http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/takanuinuva/Ninjago/NYAGO/001.jpg Samurai X back (I used a star wars jetpack for her jetpack. I had to cut the top part off for it to fit) http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/takanuinuva/Ninjago/NYAGO/002.jpg Custom Nya Zx front http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/takanuinuva/Ninjago/NYAGO/003.jpg Custom Nya Zx back http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/takanuinuva/Ninjago/NYAGO/004.jpg Nya minifig http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/takanuinuva/Ninjago/NYAGO/005.jpg Nya in her dress http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/takanuinuva/Ninjago/NYAGO/006.jpg Nya with goggles and helmet from the episode Darkness shall rise (Yes it looks goofy) http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/takanuinuva/Ninjago/NYAGO/007.jpg Wish they made a dark Nya minifig. Then I would have all her variations This is my Custom Samurai X Spinner. (Nya's normal spinner included) Top View http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/takanuinuva/Ninjago/NYAGO/008.jpg Bottom View (I wish I could take apart my Samurai X spinner and give it a Gunmetal bottom. I can show you my Revamp of the Samurai Mech Set These are the changes I made 1. Removal of the tan bricks, Trans red bricks blue bricks and most of the light grey bricks 2. Putting a cannon on both sides and making both hands clawed 3. Making the front be able to flip down like it does in the show 4. Replacing the Small jetpack with a more accurately sized one 5. Improving the sword and making the blade gunmetal. 6. Ninjago 2014

The Ninjago Wiki has received confirmation of Ninjago to continue in 2014. The Ninjago Wiki will be bringing you more information and answering these FAQs shortly: Will there be more sets? Yes, there will in fact be more sets in 2014. [*]Will the TV series on Cartoon Network continue? [*]What will happen to Chima and Ninjago in 2014 being at the same time? Lemme hear your thoughts!
  15. So there was this awesome Chima display somewhere in Korea. Here are some pictures. And Ninjago if you are interested: So what do you guys think?
  16. For Eternity Kaito, the protagonist in the story, prior to his Green Ninja tranformation Everyone knows the legend of Ninjago. Everybody knows how Kai, Zane, Jay, and Cole came together, alongside Lloyd, the fabled Green Ninja, to fight the evil Lord Garmadon. But, for every occurrence, there are an infinite number of alternate possibilities. Let us leave Ninjago for a while and journey to an alternate version of Ninjago. In this land, Lord Garmadon never met Misako, and Lloyd was never born. Because of this difference, Garmadon lacked any light in his heart, no love, no family, only pure darkness. When the skeleton armies raided the land, no one was safe. There were hundreds of casualties. Among them were Kai, Zane, Jay, and Cole- the Ninja. The Golden Weapons of Spinjitzu were all stolen and darkness reigned. But destiny never allows for unopposed evil. A lone hero rose to the occasion. This is his story.“OOF!”Kaito hefted a huge block. Ever since the skeleton armies had invaded almost a year ago, leaving destruction in its wake, the village had been rebuilding, trying to recover from the disaster. Kaito was about to put the block in its place when an old man interrupted him, tapping him on the shoulder.“YEOWCH!”Kaito yelled as he dropped the block on his foot. Annoyed, he turned around and looked at the old man, who merely chuckled.“I am sorry to interrupt your labors,” replied the old man, “but unless you want another skeleton invasion, I suggest you come with me.”“Is that a threat?” asked Kaito, drawing his sword.“No, merely a warning,” replied the old man, unfazed by the weapon. “You will see once you learn the skills needed to defeat the skeleton armies once and for all.”“Who are you?” demanded Kaito, not letting down his guard.“My name is Wu, although you can call me... Sensei Wu.” the old man replied.“Sensei? I’m not anybody’s student,” argued Kaito. “I don’t need anybody to teach me.”“Yes, you do,” Wu replied, “Especially to teach you... humility.”Their argument was cut short by panicked cries. The skeletons were back.“The skeletons! Wait right here.” exclaimed Kaito, jumping into battle. A white aura surrounded his sword as he jumped into battle. He hacked and slashed at the skeletons, swiftly dismembering the undead soldiers. Peculiarly, the skeletons froze up the second they came in contact with the sword. But there were simply too many skeletons. Kaito was almost overwhelmed when a golden tornado came spinning to his rescue. The tornado stopped spinning to reveal... Sensei Wu.“I told you to stay out of this!” yelled an angered Kaito, running away from the old man. He continued to fight for the village, but the skeletons were rapidly overwhelming the futile defenses of the village.“Kaito! Help!”Kaito turned and saw his friend, Kathy, being menaced by Samukai, the four-armed skeleton general, who was wielding the Nunchucks of Lightning and the Sword of Fire.“Kathy! No!” Kaito leaped over and swiftly decapitated Samukai. Suddenly, the unexpected happened. Samukai’s eerie headless body picked up his oversized skull and replaced it. Kaito glanced at his sword. Had the mystical sword failed, or was Samukai simply too strong? He cut Samukai to pieces. As the monstrosity reassembled himself, he yelled for Kathy to escape. “Go! Now! Don’t worry about me, save yourself! It’s not safe here! Go!”Kathy took the warning and ran, towards the dock. Looking over her shoulder, she saw Kaito fighting for his life against Samukai.“Don’t look back!” Kaito yelled. “Just go!”Kathy boarded a ship and set sail. However, Samukai had other plans. Laughing evilly and raising the Nunchucks of Lightning to the sky, he created a storm that swiftly caught her, pulling her far off course.“Kathy!” yelled Kaito. This was the fatal distraction that Samukai needed. He prepared to strike the final blow with the Sword of Fire. Kaito had just enough time to watch the shadow of doom fall upon him. Samukai struck- and it was blocked by a bamboo staff. It was Sensei Wu! Scowling, Kaito pushed him out of the way and faced off against Samukai. The skeleton general simply turned his back, casually set the village ablaze with the Sword of Fire, and called for his armies to retreat. Once the village burned to the ground and the destruction was visible, it was clear why Samukai left. A whole village, slaughtered overnight. The streets were strewn with corpses of the people Kaito once knew. He was the only one left.“I can help you defeat the army,” Kaito heard Wu behind him. “And next time, you will not lose.”“Next time?” Kaito yelled in anger. “What next time? They’re dead! All of them!”“Not all of them.” Wu calmly replied. “Although lost, that girl still lives, and so do you and I.”“But what’s the point? My sword did nothing! I did nothing!”“Your sword? Actually, I’m curious. It’s something about that sword... That sword is powerful, and you cannot use it properly.”“It was forged a long time ago, and it’s supposed to be able to dispel dark magic,” Kaito explained, “and I can use it just fine! Besides, how did you do that tornado thing? That seems to be the only thing that works against them... Please! Teach me how to do that!”“Very well,” replied Sensei Wu. “I will teach you Spinjitzu.”And they trained. They sparred late into the night. Kaito learned the legends of Lord Garmadon and the prophecy of the Green Ninja. Kaito discovered the art of Spinjitzu. Kaito mastered the elements of Fire, Lightning, Ice, and Earth. But no matter what he learned, no matter how powerful he got, a dark shadow still hung over Ninjago. While Kaito was training, the skeletons, unopposed, conquered Ninjago City. A huge crater was blown in the middle of Ninjago, connecting Ninjago with the underworld beneath. Garmadon’s dark forces spilled out of the hole by the millions, sweeping Ninjago. Soon, Garmadon was the absolute ruler of Ninjago. An evil tower of dark steel and obsidian was built in the underworld, protruding through the hole and reaching up to the cloudy skies. It could be seen for miles as a reminder of Garmadon’s immense power. But as the tower grew, so did Kaito’s strength. Sensei Wu watched the imposing skyscraper from the safety of the monastery, the only place that the skeletons had not yet reached. But that soon changed, as the armies climbed the mountain one day.“We’re under attack!” yelled Kaito. Grabbing his sword, he prepared to fight- But Sensei Wu stopped him.“No. I will fight. You are too important to die here. Go! The time has come! The final battle, yes, the time has come for the Green Ninja to rise up and fight Lord Garmadon. The Green Ninja... The Green Ninja is... Ack!” At that moment, a skeleton warrior stabbed Sensei Wu, killing him instantly. At that moment, Kaito realized the truth.Three years later, Kaito stood at the gates of the Underworld Tower. Its imposing sleek metal design stared at him. Suddenly, the gates opened, and the dark lord himself stepped out, dragging the disembodied head of what had once been Kathy, the girl who had tried to escape so many years ago.“Oh, I assume you’ve come here for the girl?” inquired Garmadon. “Take her.” He tossed the head at Kaito.“You monster...” Kaito gritted his teeth. Garmadon was even more hideous in person. His skin was pitch black. He towered over Kaito, with four menacing arms, each wielding one of the Golden Weapons of Spinjitzu. His teeth were sharp fangs, and his nails were piercing claws. He wore a fearsome helmet of dark steel and bone.“Oh, a challenge, is it? Very well,” Garmadon calmly replied. “This shall be delightful! Muahahaha!” Garmadon laughed evilly, then attacked with all four weapons.Kaito regained his focus. Fire, Lightning, Ice, and Earth swirled around him. His clothing became green, and a Ninja mask formed around his head. He had transformed... Into the Green Ninja! “Ninja... Go!” Kaito used his Spinjitzu, spinning in a green tornado. Garmadon, however, was far stronger, knocking him back with the incredible power of the Four Weapons. Kaito could barely see the blurry, shaking outline of Garmadon standing over him.“Foolish mortal,” taunted Garmadon. “Don’t you see that darkness always wins? I have already seized Ninjago, and I will not stop there! My skeleton army is all powerful! I will be able to control the whole world! Nothing can stand in my way! And I will destroy anyone who tries... starting with you!”“No! This ends now!” Kaito lashed out- and cut off Garmadon’s head. The dark lord’s hulking body fell one way, and his cranium rolled the other way. Suddenly, the blackness marring Garmadon’s skin receded, and his body began to shrink. Garmadon was reverting back to a human. His face was no longer demonic, but rather, quite human and strangely familiar. Kaito gasped. Garmadon’s face... was his own. He fell to his knees. He looked down at his hands and was horrified by the sight. Garmadon’s blood, on Kaito’s hands, was beginning to blacken and spread, mutating his body and dyeing his skin pitch black. Kaito felt the darkness spreading through him. He was becoming Garmadon. The disembodied head spoke.“You may have defeated me, Green Ninja, but you have not destroyed me. For, in murdering me, you have become the ultimate evil. It is to you that I shall pass on my sins. Farewell... brother...”The head disintegrated. Kaito was stricken with pain and horror as the realization hit him. He was no better than Garmadon. He was evil.“No! This cannot be!” lamented Kaito. Picking up his sword, he decided to end the darkness that had plagued Ninjago for years. He firmly gripped his sword, preparing himself- and struck himself through. He fell to the ground, choking and spitting blood. In his last moments, he saw the tower crumble to dust and the sun shining through the dark clouds. On his last breath, he whispered one final vow.“Now... Ninjago... is... at peace again... as long as I am dead... Ninjago is safe... safe.. for eternity...”Kaito closed his eyes. His transformation reversed itself as he slowly passed away. And once his heart stopped and his last flicker of life was extinguished, Ninjago was finally at peace once more. For eternity.

  19. Toa Electro here.and I want to talk about unrealeased sets!first one ive always thought was cool is........... The Bone Heads Of VooDoo Island! I always liked the concept of bone heads of voodo island ,its kinda tribal and is a more concentrated native version of the earlier bionicle years.Tell me what you would have liked changed and what you would've liked to see in this theme, maybe even if this would be a way to bring back bionicle what would you do to make it more bionicle appropriate. Cybots Cybots, a mashup of rock raiders slizers and technic.sounds cool , you can make vehicle people things or make one of the characters have a forklift for an arm. What do you think about it if it really was released would you but it, would you shun it? why?
  20. I have found a way to attach the 4 armed Garmadon piece to a torso piece. Here are step by step instructions on it.Parts needed to do thishttp://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/takanuinuva/mc/Garmadon4armsLdd/attaching_4_armed_piece__1.pngStep 1 lie the torsos and legs on there backhttp://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/takanuinuva/mc/Garmadon4armsLdd/attaching_4_armed_piece__2.pngStep 2 attach the legs to the 4 armed torsohttp://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/takanuinuva/mc/Garmadon4armsLdd/attaching_4_armed_piece__3.pngStep 3 drag the legs out of the 4 armed torso till there the space away in the pichttp://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/takanuinuva/mc/Garmadon4armsLdd/attaching_4_armed_piece__4.pngStep 4 attach the normal Garmadon torso. As you see in the pic it doesn't line up all the way with the 4 armed torsohttp://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/takanuinuva/mc/Garmadon4armsLdd/attaching_4_armed_piece__5.pngStep 5 take the two red bricks and attach them to the feet as shownhttp://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/takanuinuva/mc/Garmadon4armsLdd/attaching_4_armed_piece__6.pngStep 6 remove the normal Garmadon torso and slide the legs onto the 1x2 brickhttp://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/takanuinuva/mc/Garmadon4armsLdd/attaching_4_armed_piece__7.pngStep 7 slide the 1x2 brick over so it lines up under the 4 armed piecehttp://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/takanuinuva/mc/Garmadon4armsLdd/attaching_4_armed_piece__8.pngStep 8 move the legs back over and attach the normal Garmadon toros. 21. Does anyone know of a set that has Lloyd ZX in his black kimono incarnation? I've been looking around online, but so far all I've come up with is the Ninjago Character Guide. Does anyone know if there's another way to get a hold of him? Or is buying the Character Guide my best bet? Here's a link to the pic. Thanks in advance, guys.
  22. I was just experimenting with LDD, and I just made this for fun. While battling Lord Garmadon, the ninja encounter a mysterious Green Ninja. Whoever this ninja is, the ninja will have to deal with Garmadon first. Note: This is in a dream that Jay is having

    So, Ninjago

So, just waiting to head over to the convention hall and apparently Ninjago is on TV, sooo I'm going to have to begrudgingly admit that it's better than I expected. I'll have to start catching up to it now. I'm only three seasons behind, right? :?
  24. With my transfer to a new college this semester came a new laptop-- a MacBook Pro with a screen resolution of 1440x900. I spent a while looking for a good wallpaper for it (preferably a LEGO-related one), but I couldn't find any that particularly appealed to me, especially ones that would look good at this screen resolution. Finally I decided to make one myself.I put this together using this year's Ninjago character wallpapers as a background (Photoshopping multiple backgrounds together to remove the minifigure photographs and character names) and high-resolution CGI minifigure images from cache.LEGO.com as the foreground image (example source image). The NRG Ninja minifigures are amazing character designs, and pictures hardly do their elementally-charged metallic prints justice, but still there's something magical about shiny LEGO minifigure images, especially larger-than-life ones that truly let you take in every little detail. Click the image to view it in full size: And if anyone's curious, here's what it looks like on my desktop. I think I will be happy with this layout for quite a while! You are welcome to use this wallpaper yourselves. If you would prefer it in a different resolution (1440 pixels wide or smaller), just ask-- I still have the original Photoshop document with all the layers separated, so it will be no trouble to change the size or aspect ratio.
  25. So I saw the new Ninjago episode tonight! It was pretty intense. The series is definitely moving towards a conclusion that will do the series as a whole justice. A short summary of the coolest parts and my thoughts follow: In other Ninjago news, I found a Japanese online shop today that had descriptions of next year's Ninjago sets. I obviously can't share this on BZPower since this site probably wasn't supposed to disclose this so soon... but at the same time, it gives some insights into how the story Masako told might relate to the upcoming sets and the story that ties in with them. It won't be too long before we get to that point in the TV series, and at that point the next wave of sets might be officially revealed so I can discuss some of these particular observations. Also, anyone want a wallpaper of the NRG Ninja from the LEGO Ninjago sets? Because I got one, and it looks great on my new laptop: Click here to visit the topic in the General Art forum! also jeez somebody post in the Ninjago: Master of Spinjitzu TV Series Discussion Topic already. It's been a week since anyone's posted there, and ten days since anyone other than me posted there! And new episodes have started airing again!
