Somewhere off in the stony wastes, something is hungry. ^ Click this photo to view the MOCpages gallery. ^ Something different from my usual MOCs... this is my first complete non-humanoid build in months.   3. A long while back, I felt a strange urge to recreate Akamai, the Toa Kaita of Valor. My goal was to use pieces used in BIONICLE sets between 2001 and 2003. However, once I had completed him, I discovered that I had used the Hordika neck piece, a part initially released in '05. Well, we can't all be perfect, so I'll live with it. Sorry about the lighting in the pictures--my equipment picked a bad day to hate me.   4. A revamp I made of Toa Iruini that I was pretty proud of. I didn't make the shield because I thought it'll look weird, with Lego not making enough flat gold pieces. NOTE: I started to link to my MOCpages account because Brickshelf hates me.

  6. I've finally revamped possibly one of the most iconic traitors in the canonical BIONICLE universe: Metus."I can always pick a winner. Now throw down your weapon and your shield. That's not a joke." The body of this MOC is probably the highlight. As it was the most complicated aspect of the MOC. I gave him a new weapon because his original didn't really look like an ice axe, it was more like a katana. I basically de-limbed Nuju Metru (not the member) and threw them onto the complicated body. The chest armor was the hardest part of the MOC to build and make work. I had tried different designs previously, but, they didn't mesh correctly with the body pieces. More pictures will come soon!   8. I thought the ultra dragon from the epic dragon battle set wasn't very show accurate. So I rebuilt it in LDD for more show accuracy. I've also added some better gimmicks to it.Its gimmicks areAll 4 heads have a launcher.The wings have the same flapping gimmick as the Gukko bird from Jaller and Gukko.   9. Time to post another recent MOC. My first ever DC MOC. I wasn't satisfied of the Joker's random green-white-orange-gunmetal-purple-neon green color scheme so I decided to revamp him, making him only purple and green (with some black, which I tried to avoid at best) and keeping white as his skin. I gave him a more classic gun and a scythe because I thought it'd look good with him.Front viewSide viewBack view (kinda hollow, I know)C&C welcomed.
  10. My favorite set of the 1.0 wave was the Furno Bike. I liked it so much that I decided to revamp it to make it even more epic.These are what changes I've made1. Added an engine to fill in the big gap in the bike. Engine doesn't work its for detail only.2. Working front and rear suspension.3. Motorcycle sound brick. When rear suspension is pressed on. The brick will activate4. Quad exhaust pipes.5. New foot pegs so the canister Furno 1.0 can ride the bike.6. Handlebars are attached to the front wheel assembly like on a real motorcycle7. Hero core added in front as a detal. Its not meant to be a real Hero core its just a Hero Factory icon.8. I used up a lot of my orange technic pieces on this revamp.9. Better kickstand on the right armor covering. The left armor covering can holster Furno's dual fire bladesI've also made some changes to Furno as well.1. Replaced his keetorange bones with orange ones so he matches better with the bike.2. Added a part to his back so he can wear a jetpack like Bulk in the Bulk vs Vapor set3. Built his feet like the Furno Marine moc so he attaches to the bike easier.4. added technic parts under his chest armor to fill in the gaps.I've taken a lot of pics of this revamp so I'll only be showing a few.   11. I bought Stormer Xl today and though I did eventually scrap him for parts. I decided to make a revamp of his design.Changes include1. Using XT4's torso for the back. Makes the body less gappy, Brings the arms closer and lower to the body.2. Making his legs shorter and more like the ones in the Hero Factory Tv show3. Making his sword better and giving him a silver blaster.4. Shortening the cuffs to one link.5. One drone on his back so both arms have the same amount of drones.6. Since the set came with two sets of stickers. I added stickers to both of his legs. I used parts from my Stormer 2.0 set on Stormer XL, and it turns out the result is pretty good.Modifications:* Added armor to the lower chest to increase bulk.* Replaced lower arms with longer limb pieces.* Made the plaster shooter a tank arm as well as attaching 2.0 tubing to it from the body.* Changed the upper body pieces to make it more bulky.* Added 2.0 chest armor to the back.* Combined a scout drone with a multi-tool ice shield and mounted it on the back.* Used the extra peg piece to hold the hero cuffs together to prevent dangling.* Used the extra washer piece on the power sword (not really necessary, but I wanted to add that in anyways)Gallery.
  13. Flickr | Brickshelf When I was at BrickFair, I chanced upon a vendor selling Throwbots and Robo Riders in great condition, so I decided to pick up #8513 Dust. Great set it was, but I felt like revamping it. This was the result.I felt like turning the set into a bipedal form akin to other LEGO action figure lines, but didn't want to lose the original motorbike appearance, so he can transform back into a vehicle of sorts.And I just gave him a tail for no reason at all. :UThat's all for now. Might do some other revamps soon. Hope you like it~

Another MOC for you all today; this time it's my revamp of Thok, one of my most popular MOCs on other sites.I had decided to build a grittier, darker sort of version of Thok, as it fit the Piraka quite well, in my opinion.One change I made was the color scheme. I got rid of the light blue and silver, and replaced them with black; not enough black to overpower the white, though. The light blue was also replaced by some trans light blue parts, for no particular reason other than that it looked awesome. I also found the original's contrast of trans colors to be a little too much, so I changed the eye and Zamor colors to trans light blue and blue (respectively). In addition to the color changes, I switched up the weapons.   15. This is my version of Gali Nuva with adaptive armor. I know she has the wrong mask, but I think it suits her much better than the abomination that Gali Mistika wears. This is probably my best Toa sized MOC ever.FrontBackbring it on!Let me know what you think!
  16. Revamp of an old MOC made in 2008 for Primus's blog contest. Which is an interesting coincidence, actually, as he just became active again to post a MOC of his own.Anyway, remade Yarrohk because the original version sat near my computer for most of his existence, and I grew tired of how bad he was. Really, the old version (seen here) was rubbish. However, I think the revamp remedies that, and actually reflects the character concept I was going for. ^Link to Gallery^ 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 He has a stand because he's meant to be an agile, lithe flyer, with little need for walking. Hence no feet, and thin little arms. Also yeah, the white background makes him rather blend in for some of the shots, but ah well. C&C welcome. ~B~

  23. Chapter 1: The Bohrok AwakenAs the Toa walked on, light flashed down and beamed them out of Makuta's lair. But next to Makuta's lair was another room. As he retreated to regain his power, he brushed against what was inside that room, so that the Toa would not interfere with his plan. What should have never been awakened when living, sentient beings were on the island, he had awakened. Makuta teleported away.Takua was alone in the lair. “Toa? Turaga? Anyone?” He walked around. The darkness had one place with a green light. He followed inside.“What is this?” There was no eerie chill wind, only something telling him he should not touch what he saw. A glowing green half sphere stood in front of him. There were circles bulging out slightly. The circles started to bulge and pulsate in and out.“Mata Nui...what is this?”Takua backed away slowly into a golden orb on a pedestal, with a square-shaped keyhole.“Wait Takua, just gotta see this and record it...just duty...” Takua still just barely convinced himself to stay. He gulped and looked at what was happening. Some of the circles started to burst open. Green sphere-like things flew out of the circles and landed on the ground. They had a strange stripe pattern on the front, clawed shields on the side, two sharp tooth-like blades on the bottom, with the shaft holding the front plate up in between. On the sides of the teeth, but below the front plate, were two red eyes. There seemed to be something behind the clear front plate, but with the stripes and the darkness, he couldn't make it out. The sphere-like things were all identical, and they unfolded. Short, stubby legs extended from the bottom, and they stood on two-toed feet. Arms just like the legs extended, with the shields now replacing hands. Mechanical noises were heard with each of their steps.“AAAAAAAAAAAAAA!” Takua thought he was in a nightmare. They advanced on him steadily. Creaking, chittering, beeping, and buzzing noises surrounded him. One rolled up into a ball and rolled straight for Takua. He was frozen in fear, and knocked down. When he got up, it was in open form again. It extended its head forward at the speed of a Tarakava punch and his mask came off. “No! Not that!” He dived for the mask, but another one of them rolled from the side and knocked him out of the way. He threw a bamboo disk at it, the common self-defense weapon of all Matoran. But the creature stuck out its shield, and spewed acid out of it. Takua narrowly avoided it and ran, never looking back and seeing his disk destroyed.“Give me back MY MASK!” Takua charged at the creature, but changed direction to confuse it. He confused it even more by running away from his mask. Suddenly he was circled by three of them in sphere mode, like a biker gang. “Well, I never played before, but...TIME TO TRY KOLI!!!!!” He tried to kick one like a Koli ball at the one guarding his mask, but it unfolded and knocked him back with its head. He flew at another, which, instead of knocking him the other way, threw him. Three more jumped down out of the green half-sphere, and shot him with acid in perfect sync with the one that threw him. He was hit and burning all over. Everything he owned except for one thing had been destroyed. That one thing was a golden Po-Koro chisel, given to him as a reward for exposing Ahkmou's treachery and helping Pohatu kill a Nui-Jaga. “Wait...this can fit...into that hole on the golden orb!”Takua ran wildly, zigzagging, turning around, and doing the most ridiculous running rountine of all time. The creatures were confused long enough for him to grab his mask. They saw him put it on and all surrounded him. They shot acid, but he leaped on the golden orb and stuck the chisel inside the square-shaped opening. A bubble formed around him and sent him flying rapidly into a tunnel, followed by the much slower creatures. The tunnel spiraled, and the creatures rolled into ball mode and followed him. One of them somehow dug a tunnel without acid and jumped in front of the sphere. The others behind Takua also unfolded. Takua rolled on and knocked the creature in front of him out of the way.“What in the name of Mata Nui are these things?!”A small creature, with the same eyes as the others but a head in the shape of one of their shields walked in. It could not roll into a ball, but it had the body of a Turaga, the feet of a Matoran, and two katanas suitable for cutting away bushes and leaves. They can cut bushes...and Matoran like me. Fantastic.One of the larger creatures somehow flew in sphere mode and landed in front of Takua. Another restrained him from behind. That one was stronger than the others somehow, and crushed the sphere. Acid hit Takua from both sides, and he crumpled to the ground.“No...have to warn...have to live. I can't die...no...” Takua lowered his head, not looking up. He had an idea suddenly. He kicked the smaller creature in the elbow, and it dropped its katana. Takua picked it up and dueled. His acid wound stopped his arm partway through a swing, and the creature slashed his hand. He dropped the sword and the creature picked it up. But there was something on its back. Takua grabbed it and the creatures advanced on him. He got another idea.“You want this, monsters? Take it!”Takua threw it back as hard as he could and ran to the edge of the tunnel. Some of the large creatures chased him, and the others, including the small one, ran back to get what Takua threw. Takua tripped and rolled out of the tunnel. A circular door opened and he rolled out. He had come out of the same door he had tried to open from outside a day ago, while the Toa were out collecting masks. That door was the circular mouth hole of a carving. A carving of Mata Nui's symbolic face. The creatures came out, and Takua ran. He looked back once, and saw them dissolving the carving as more came out the entrance. The short cliff the gate was on soon dissolved, revealing the outside of the tunnel. The tunnel itself was eventually destroyed from the inside and outside. The creatures for some reason paid him no mind, not even turning away from the place they were destroying. Takua ran as fast as he could to Ta-Koro.Takua reached Vakama's hut.“Turaga--”“I know what you saw, Takua. Let me tell you a story. The creatures you saw are called Bohrok. They exist to destroy all of the island, except for the bare rock beneath. They will level even that, for whatever reason. They are meant to clear the island. But not now. Not even close to now. Wake one, and you wake them all. My only guess is that Makuta woke them up. The Toa arrived here, after seeing them. They warned me and the villages. I told them what I am telling you now. Makuta, as they guessed, WILL return. But first he awoke the Bohrok. They have smaller servants, called Bohrok Va. The Bohrok Va have no powers, but have weapons. They have the color of whatever Bohrok they are made to assist, and heads in the shape of their Bohrok's shield. The Bohrok have shields that can shoot elements. Not control, only shoot. They can also be pointed somewhere, and existing samples of their element will fly to the place they choose. These, though dangerous and to be feared, are nowhere near the Toa's powers. The Bohrok and their Bohrok Va, when referred to specifically, have their own names. Tahnok: Fire.Gahlok: Water.Lehvak: Acid.”Takua interrupted. “Why not air?”Vakama shook his head. “I do not know, but the Lehvak are deadly as they are. The others are these.Pahrak: Stone.Nuhvok: Earth.Kohrak: Ice. All of them can push their heads forward, just for sheer smashing power. Each also carries a Krana. Without a Krana, a Bohrok is paralyzed. The Bohrok Va don't have that weakness. They carry spare Krana to their Bohrok. The Bohrok can lower their faceplates as well, showing the Krana. If it knocks your mask off, and thrusts its head forward with the plate down, the Krana will land on your face, forcing you to serve the swarms. The Bohrok Va also have strange weapons. Tahnok Va: Copies of my Firestaff. They can actually shoot fire from those.Gahlok Va: A single copy of one of Gali's hooks.Lehvak Va: Katanas.Pahrak Va: A copy of Onewa's hammer. Nuhvok Va: Twin claws like Onua's.Kohrak Va: Twin ice picks, in the shape of Bohrok teeth.Takua's mouth hung open. “I hope I never meet them again!”Vakama frowned and shook his head. “You will, Takua. You are also a guardsman now. You must have the Virtue of Ta-Koro. Courage. And there is more to the Krana than that. There are eight types, all granting a special power.Krana Xa – Lets the Bohrok form complex strategies.Krana Vu – Lets the Bohrok fly in sphere mode.Krana Yo – Lets the Bohrok dig through anything.Krana Su – Makes the Bohrok incredibly strong.Krana Za – Gives them telepathy. Combined with a Krana Xa holder, these are deadly.Krana Ca – Can form shields around itself, and others. It is also able to protect from ambush.Krana Ja – Can detect even distant obstacles. This has many uses, alone or with other Krana.Krana Bo – Gives the Bohrok night vision.These Krana will also give the possessed wearers these powers. That will make even the best of friends deadly opponents. Worse, the control is greater than that of an infected mask. The victim will still have the ability to see what is happening, however. Some may feel that is a curse, though it can become useful...should the possessed wearer be freed. Each Bohrok's Krana will be the same color as the eyes of the Bohrok using it. Only the Krana that match the Bohrok can be used. And the only way to stop the swarms is to gather all 8 different Krana from all 6 Bohrok. It is far easier to get them from the Bohrok Va. It doesn't really matter where they come from. But when all 8 are gathered, and placed in the slots in the inner Bohrok Nest, it will unlock the secret of stopping the Bohrok. Not even we Turaga know the secret beyond. We told the Toa already of all this. All you must do is your duty. In this troubled time, you will have to stay as a guard. Gali will send you messages of important events through your mental link. Hopefully this time the secret of the Krana will not force you to descend into the nest! You were lucky to return before!”Takua shuddered. “Yeah. And even more lucky to escape the Lehvak and Lehvak Va. They actually decided to attack me!”Vakama nodded. “It is rumored that the different types of Bohrok behave differently from other types. Hope the next ones to arrive are not so aggressive.”Keahi sounded the alarm. “Turaga Vakama, we are being assaulted by these Bohrok you told us about!”Takua was surprised. “You told the whole island?”Vakama facepalmed. “Of course I told them! Use you common sense, Takua! They must be ready. Left unchecked, the Bohrok will destroy the island in one day!”Takua was embarrassed. Right. What is with me? “Um, I'll get my disks and my two pronged spear!”Takua arrived with the weapons and got on top of the wall. To his surprise, Turaga Vakama got on the front line.“You're fighting too, Turaga?”Turaga Vakama never looked away from the advancing Lehvak. “Yes. Though I do not have the full power of a Toa, those with power at all must protect the weaker!”Takua agreed. “Thank you, Turaga. Now, LET'S DO THIS!”The Toa were all at Tahu's mark, the one he had made the previous day.Pohatu was a bit irritated. “Not a single day of peace, huh? These Bohrok will pay for what they are doing to the Matoran!”Gali glared at the outside, even without a Bohrok in sight. “We will destroy them, for the Matoran. It is our duty! Together!”Tahu agreed. “Yes! The Krana will be ours, just as the Kanohi were! And we won't have to search for them, we just have to destroy enough Bohrok to get them!”Onua shook his head. “We haven't seen any aside from those Tahnok that attacked us when we got out.”Tahu growled. “If those melted Kopaka's ice that fast, who's to say the Kohrak can't freeze open flames?”It was one of those times when Lewa didn't even have a trace of a grin on his face. “They can. Turaga Matau told me. But the Bohrok don't have the power of air! That is my advantage over them!”Onua said, “No. They will go for you and Turaga Matau the most then, I think. With you under the power of the Krana, they will have even air on their side.”Lewa frowned. “That's what Turaga Matau said.”Tahu broke in. “Naturally they will want our powers. We will prove that our power is too much for them to handle!”Lehvak Va arrived at the gates of Ta-Koro. They supplied the Lehvak with Krana Vu, and rode on them as they flew across the lava moat, straight to the gates of Ta-Koro. That strategy had been thought out by distant Krana Xa and relayed by Krana Za. It allowed the Lehvak Va to switch the Krana back to normal after arrival at the gates. They dissolved the gates instantly.Jala threw disks at them, but one of them formed a shield, blocking the attack. Then they started dissolving the bases of the walls and bashing them with their heads. The Lehvak Va were knocked down with disks from all the Ta-Matoran.Jala was giving orders. “Keahi, we need to use the bows and arrows! Get them! Kapura! Just throw disks from where you are! Takua, lead Aft and Agni to duel the Lehvak Va with your spears!”The Matoran followed orders. Some Lehvak stopped assaulting the wall and started assaulting the Matoran, only to be hit from behind with arrows. The arrows did little though, and some Matoran were falling off the walls. Those that fell quickly drew spears and fought.Takua was in a hard battle with a Lehvak Va. “What's wrong? Mad I took one of your Krana and threw it?!” He thrusted and the Lehvak Va blocked. It spun around and slashed at him from the back, but he whirled around and blocked with the stick of his staff. He kicked its legs and it fell to the ground. He took its Krana and threw it up to Keahi. A Lehvak flew up, unfolded, and caught it. Before falling it hit Keahi with acid, and he fell down. The Lehvak changed to sphere mode and landed hard next to the base of the wall, further shaking it. Turaga Vakama burned some with his Firestaff. “Take that! And that!” They looked up at him and started to back up. Takua finished off the Lehvak Va he was fighting, but a Lehvak shot him from behind, then kicked him. Takua flew forward. It used its Krana Za, and another Lehvak came in front of him and shot him.“AAAAAAUUUGH!” Takua screamed louder than he ever had before, and the second Lehvak knocked him into the wall with its head. The impact and the acid on him weakened the wall even more. Before he passed out, he contacted Gali with their link.“Gali! Gali! All of you, check on your villages! We're being assauted by Bohrok! Help us! Help...”Takua had passed out.Gali jumped when Takua contacted her. “Everyone, listen to me! Ta-Koro is being hit by Lehvak! Check on your villages!”Tahu was enraged. “They dare attack my people!? They will pay!” He sped off with his mask power to Ta-Koro before anyone else spoke. Gali was next to do the same for Ga-Koro. The others did it for their villages.
  24. I have decided to make a mostly canon revamp of the 2001 story, but with more fleshing out. Most of these chapters are premade. If it seems to be overly explanatory in some respects, please bear in mind that this was once a school project, so it was written for an audience with no previous knowledge of Bionicle. So without further ado...Chapter 1: The ArrivalA long, thin canister floated aimlessly on the great ocean. Someone was inside, sleeping. That was how it was for a thousand years. Land was not so far away. But that land would never meet the canister. Until on that island, a villager gathered six stones, causing a flash of light and a signal. The canister suddenly sped to the land.“Tahu...my name.”The being inside the canister stood up. He knew only his name. Nothing else at all, not even his powers or where he came from.“My name...is Tahu!”He saw his canister on the beach. Inside were a sword in the shape of a flame, and a mask. Both were red. Tahu looked at himself. He was a mixture of organic and mechanical parts. He felt stronger than most, but...wrong. Like his power was halved.“These things...they were with me. And...I should be red like they are...why am I gray?” He looked at his reflection in the water. His red eyes glowed, and all of him was gray. His arms were strange, mismatched, but felt right. He picked up the sword and swung it around. It did nothing, but he knew there was supposed to be more to it than that.“Work!”He shook it more, but it did nothing. It was, however, sharp, as proven when he cut a rock in half with one good swing. It still did nothing more, and in frustration he put it away. But he somehow, put it in a compartment in his back. Those compartments were common. He somehow remembered that. Picking up the mask, he felt power inside it. He turned it around in his hands. He stared at the inside for a moment. He put on the mask.“Wha--”He turned red and orange, with little bits of black. His eyes remained red, and only his face was still gray, hidden behind the red mask. He felt energy flood his body. It seemed to him that a part of him was in the mask, and it had returned to him. Now he felt a strange calling to take out the sword.“Will it work now?”He took it out and stared at it.. The shape of the flame ignited in his hand, and he was surprised so much that he dropped it. The fire stopped. When he picked it up again, it did nothing. But when he tried to make it ignite again, it did. He stretched out his left hand, and fire came out.“What? How? Oh no!”It was burning the beach, turning sand into glass. The moment he tried to stop it, it flew at him.“Noooooooo!”But he was never burned. He remembered in a split second that before, once, he had absorbed fire, and did it again. He made more fire, and caused it to fly where he wanted, and change into shapes. “Haha. This shape looks like a fish. And now—huh?”He suddenly remembered five other masks, and the fire made outlines of them. He immediately formed it into a ball, not knowing where the memory of those masks came from. He burned down a palm tree as a test, and then absorbed the fire back.“It seems to work...”He pointed his sword, and shot a focused blast of fire out the end. It incinerated a tree in the distance. “I...have power...over fire? And this sword can focus it...what?”He put it away, wondering where to find people. When he turned around, there were charred rocks and a volcano. Cooled lava formed walkways, and blazing lava flowed around them. He absorbed the heat from some lava, making a path. He made jets of fire rise out of the lava by pointing his sword at them, and when he lowered his sword, they died down. He walked down into a forest, charred with fire that wasn't from the lava streams.“No...This isn't right! This place...THIS should not be burned.”He shoved his sword into the ground. He tried absorbing heat from it, but all it made was cold ground. He found the cold uncomfortable, and returned the heat. “Lifeless trees...charred soil...this volcano did not do this.”Looking more carefully, he saw markings on the trees. He took a few steps toward them. In another direction was a sign with a picture of a volcano on it. He took a few steps to the center of a forest, and ended up caught...in an animal trap! Twigs tied together fell around him, and he drew his sword. Five small beings came. One had a mask like his, but yellow.“What is this? Who are you?!”The yellow-masked one said to his company, “Be ready!”Tahu set his sword on fire and burned up all the twigs to ashes in seconds, then extended his hand to trap the company of midgets in a circle of fire.One wearing a gray mask that looked elderly spoke in a young voice, “What? Fire? How?!”The yellow-masked one said, “Oh no. I don't know.” He tried to jump over the circle, but the flames rose up at Tahu's will and burned him. “AAAAAAA!” He rolled on the ground until the flames were gone, and threw a bamboo disk at Tahu. The others did the same, and the ground under them erupted in flames.Tahu yelled, “Why are you fighting me!? Grr!” He stuck out his sword and incinerated all the disks. The five short beings escaped the flames and rolled on the ground. They were too injured to fight. One with a black mask that Tahu had made the outline of looked up with angry, but scared eyes. He said, “You...if we were not from Ta-Koro, we would not have had the heat resistance to survive. Who...are you?”Tahu looked at those he had defeated. It felt wrong to hurt them so much. “I am Tahu. I have power over fire. And you?”This time, the yellow-masked being spoke. “I am Jala, captain of the Ta-Koro guard. That trap was meant for a wild Rahi, a beast of the land. Wait, did you say...TAHU?!”Tahu was bewildered. “Yes, I did. Why? He sheathed his sword.”Jala answered, “We have been waiting for you! It was foretold you would come, and protect us, the Matoran! You are a Toa. There are five others!”Tahu said, “You definitely need protection, my...friend. But why now? If I am not the only one that can harm you...”“Come, Turaga Vakama will explain.”“Turaga Vakama?”“Each vilage, or Koro, has a Turaga. The Turaga are wise leaders with knowledge of many things. Talk to Vakama, and you will have your answers.”Jala guided Tahu to a village surrounded by a moat of lava. Jala said, “The captain of the guard approaches! Raise the bridge and the gate!”Tahu saw a Matoran pull a lever and cause gears to rotate. Pillars of cooled lava came up from the blazing lake below. The gate opened, and Jala ran in.“Follow me!” Jala said.Tahu ran after him. He noted that the Matoran were average, seeing so many. And he was much bigger. It made sense that he was one of their protectors. Jala broke his thoughts. “Hey, wake up! He's here, in this hut!”Tahu laughed a bit. “You're a bit excited.”Tahu saw that all the huts were made of cooled lava. He could make his own later, with the right tool.Jala broke the silence of his thoughts once again. “So, Toa Tahu, this is Turaga Vakama.”Tahu answered, “I could say I need some answers.”Vakama looked him up and down. “Ah yes. You are a...Toa. This is the island of Mata Nui, named after the Great Spirit himself. But his brother, Makuta, put him to sleep. Without him, this island is unprotected. We have no way of stopping this dark spirit, Makuta. We can defend against the Rahi to some degree, however. They are the wild beasts of this land. But some are very destructive, and he controls their minds with masks, so he can put them to use as his servants. These masks are scarred and pitted, but otherwise are the same as ours. Each Toa can use any mask power they want. Turaga can use only the powers of the Noble Masks. We Turaga have the elements of our village's Toa, but to a much lower degree.” Vakama shot a small jet of flame from his staff, scorching the wall. “The elements are: Fire, Water, Air, Earth, Stone, and Ice. The Matoran are weak, but have great courage and skill in building. They cannot use their mask powers or their elements at all, but without a mask, if they don't get one in time, they will pass out. We Turaga and you Toa have our strength halved when not wearing a mask. The same does not go for the Rahi, who have infected masks. You six Toa can combine your powers to cleanse a mask. The Toa have these elements and names. Tahu: Fire. Gali: Water. Lewa: Air. Pohatu: Stone. Onua: Earth. Kopaka: Ice. Each of you have one element and one mask. Your masks are like this. Tahu: Shielding, but only for yourself, and only when you know you will be attacked. Gali: Water Breathing, but only for a limited time. Lewa: Levitation, but only on himself. Pohatu: So much speed that he can run from Koro to Koro in a minute. Onua: Incredible strength. Kopaka: Telescopic and X-Ray vision.”Vakama continued, “I am a Turaga, a village leader. We Turaga have these elements. Vakama: Fire. Nokama: Water.Matau: Air.Onewa: Stone.Whenua: EarthNuju: Ice.Nuju is a strange one. He speaks only in bird language, and it is translated by Matoro. He believes it will teach patience and good listening. Anyway, the masks of the Turaga are these. Vakama: Invisibility, but I cast a shadow still. Nokama: Translation of writing. Matau: Illusions. Onewa: Mind control, but it is hard to maintain on non-animals. Whenua: Night vision. Nuju: Telekinesis. We each have a spare of our own mask, and a copy of each Turaga mask in our color. These masks are for you Toa. Each Toa has a Suva, which teleports a mask to them if they want it. You have to collect the masks of the other Toa, in your own color. The same goes for all of them. Then we Turaga will place our Noble Masks on your Suvas, and you will exchange your collected masks in a shrine for Golden Masks. These contain all the powers of the Toa Masks, and the powers can be used at the same time. In addition, the Suvas will have all the Noble Masks, giving each of you 12 mask powers at the end of your quest. On the way you will have to defeat Rahi, and avoid getting infected masks placed on your faces. These will make you serve Makuta! Also, you MUST work together.”Tahu had faint memories of that being hard. “If it will save you from the darkness of this...Makuta, I will do it, and anything else needed!” He knew that being a protector was always his duty now.Vakama smiled. “Good, then. We can trust you, Toa Tahu. There are legends of Golden Masks being fused in groups of three as well, causing the powers of each Toa Mask used to be 3 times as powerful! This will aid you when, at the end of your quest, you face Makuta. Together. There is no other way it can be done. Take this.” Vakama handed Tahu a map of Mata Nui.Tahu looked over the map. “The villages. Ta-Koro, of Fire. Ga-Koro, of Water. Le-Koro, of Air. Po-Koro, of Stone. Onu-Koro, of Earth. Ko-Koro, of Ice.”Vakama said, “Yes. Each Toa guards their own village. In Ga-Koro all are female, and in the others, all are male. This is how it has been since the beginning of time. However, each Toa must not hesitate to help the others or their villages. Otherwise, success will NEVER come. Now go, Toa Tahu. Our brave and noble Guardsmen will protect us! Go, find the other Toa, and find the Great Masks!”Tahu put away the map. “Yes, Turaga Vakama. I will!”Vakama stopped him. “You are to lead them. I assume they have been told that by the other Turaga. And just for a test...Jala, HIT HIM WITH A DISK!”Tahu jumped in surprise. What was it Vakama had said? His mask—shielding! He activated it out of instinct, a shield formed around him like a dome, and the disk bounced off. “What? Yes!” He lowered his shield.Vakama looked at him confidently. “Now you know the power of the Masks. Go now! And waste no time!”Tahu ran off in the distance. Vakama walked to a Ta-Matoran with a blue mask. “You summoned the Toa, Takua. You are a hero.”Takua smiled. As soon as Turaga Vakama left, he ran out to wander again.
  25. Hello, BZPower! Ballom here, back on the MOCing scene after a fairly long hiatus! Today's special is a couple of MOCs that I built over the Christmas break using my recently-acquired Hero Factory sets. Basically, because Waspix and Scorpio were pretty bad sets, I made better scorpion and wasp versions. Although, admittedly, the scorpion is mostly HF, being based on Witch Doctor's parts, while the wasp has a lot more Bionicle elements. Also, the more astute or stalker-ish of you may realize that the pictures of these have been on my Maj for about a month now, but I kept forgetting to post the topic. Anyway, to the pictures!
