1. So, I recently read the final comic that Bionicle published, and I noticed something. Why did Teridax just beat Mata Nui around when he could have hit him with a giant bolt of Chain Lightning? Why couldn't he have used laser beams the size of mountains coming out of his eyes to vaporize MN's head? (Ys, I am aware that Teridax did use gravity to bring the other pieces of SM back, but why did he stop there?)
2. A few months back, I decided to revamp Teridax from the Melding Alt. Universe. I used a torso design similar to the one I used on Sir Vamprah. Not long after his completion, I felt it would be perfect to revamp our Teridax that we all know and love. Light Teridax took about three hours to fully construct, and Shadow Teridax took over 4 hours. And so, without further ado... "In this corner, standing 12 inches tall and weighing in at around 2 pounds, from the Melding Alternate Universe, we have Teridax!" Front Back Legs Hammer Time! Gallery "And in this corner, from our own Prime Universe, we have... Teridax?" (Credit to Jacks for his Matoran design) "You have GOT to be kidding me." "You expected something else?" "Something like THIS?" Oh, yeah. I forgot he could do that. Front Back Close-up Pose Another Pose Gallery Face-off! Showdown "Teridax makes the first strike!" "Teridax makes a counter attack! Ouch, right in the chest!" "What a kick! That's gotta hurt!" "Teridax has... Teridax by the throat!" "They seem to be too evenly matched. Well played, Teridax...Both of you...." Gallery Well, there you have it. I consider these two to be my best BBCs yet, especially Shadowdax. Comments and criticism are most welcome! Thanks for looking!
3. The sun pours down from the sky, white light spilling into our vision as we row north. Those who have sunglasses are fortunate; those who don’t are simply unlucky for the day. As we reach forward, eyes are trained on the man in front of us, intent on mimicking his shoulder blades, his movements matching our own. The sun bathes us in its light, our white skin even paler in the spring glow than what the winter turned it. With a glance downwards, the boat can be seen sliding over what seems to be black glass, jumping away from the swirling puddles as the dark waters rush along the gunwales. The sight is magnificent, astounding, and in this moment, one of the most beautiful sights that could ever be remembered. The piece ends and restarts on coach’s command; we leave the straightaway behind as he tells us to row on, traveling past the edge of all things familiar. Following the black water, the marsh grasses retreat, and the buildings only ever seen from a distance at last are before our gaze. We’ve never done lightweight before, and maybe that’s the key. “Through the mirror, then, and your chance to shatter it,” someone once told me, and I remember these words as our oars break the water’s dark mirror. Perhaps this is what they meant, and this is our chance. With all of our quirks and oddities, maybe we were never meant for the popular title, and after years of victory being just out of our grasp, this is our opportunity to shatter that empty handed reflection that has been staring back at us. Past the shadow of the traffic clogged bridge, we cruise towards the inlet, our fatigued bodies lightly stroking the water as we turn the boat; with the grant of a moment of rest, we see the docks run down the island toward Longport bridge, which despite its proximity, still hangs in a distant haze. The inlet flows out toward the ocean beyond, the sound of the surf crashing on the shores reaching our ears. We may not know what winning feels like, but the content of listening to that soothing rhythm puts us at peace nevertheless. A shiver of excitement runs down the boat as we protest to coach to row further, regardless of the danger. With the shake of a head, however, we turn around, ready to head home. The sun is low when we reach home, and as coach’s launch stalls out, we sit patiently, together watching the sky shift from a golden yellow to the black and silver night, as the lights along the roads that cross the marshes shine brightly in the spring evening. I haven’t seen a sunset like that in years, and I am glad to have viewed it with you guys. It was an honor rowing in that lightweight 8; there is nothing like seeing something out through the very end, and with what we did win, it proved we shattered the mirror. An old African proverb states "If you want to go fast, travel alone. If you want to go far, travel together." Like the black water, our minds stilled as we pulled the boat out of the bay, but that is what settled under the surface as we left. It takes a boat to pull a boat- and despite all of our differences and the setbacks that occurred, those mirror fragments came together to form a satisfying image, as we-at last- proved ourselves. Champions.
4. BATTLE OF BROTHERS One thing that I want to address before you read this story is that this is not a fully-written story in the sense of a story you may normally read from sources like a book, but a detailed explanation of how the story would have been written if it were fully fleshed out into a complete story. Also, this story only focuses on Mata Nui and his battle against Teridax. It does not go into detail on the battles that were waged inside of Teridax. With that being said and done, I hope you enjoy my version of how I wanted the story to end. I accept all forms of criticism and will ingore any hateful or flame responses. Essentially, the tribes would contribute to help bring together the parts of the prototype robot. In that time, Mata Nui would come to help and train the Glatorian in their newfound elemental powers and tell them of his own history, where he comes from, what he used to be and what happened to him. Initally, he would tell them that although as pwerful as he could be with the Ignika, he can't face the battle that lies ahead and that he fears that Teridax will come looking for him and what he may do to everyone if he fails. He asks that even though they had not known each other very long, that it would mean a great deal if they were willing to help Mata nui in his journey. The Glatoran would come to accept Mata Nui's offer, stating that nobody should have to suffer what Teridax is capable of. A few months would pass as Mata Nui learns to control the Prototype robot (and instead of transferring his consciousness into the body, he would pilot it like a robot like those seen in Pacific Rim), though in the beginning, they would be having trouble finding the necessary amount of power it would take to re-activate the robot. A flash of inspiration comes to Mata Nui as he walks close to the robot's hand and declares "Unity!". The Robot would come to life, running on it's own provided energy. When it comes time to leave Bara Magna, all the Glatoran and Agori would be inside the robot as Mata Nui makes final preparations. Kiina would walk in and talk to Mata Nui about him fulfilling his promise and that although she may sort-of miss the home she has known for many of her lifetime, she is very excited at the prospect of a new world to visit. Mata Nui would confront her that this is no ordinary trip to someplace new, but a battle that she may not come back from and asks if she is really sure she wants to come along. Kiina replies with a salute and replies "To Karzahni and back, I'll follow you. We all will follow you". Mata Nui smiles back and Kiina leaves. Mata Nui would exclaim "Duty!" as the Robot activates it's flight system and leaves Bara Magna, heading towards Aqua Magna where Teridax is still occupied with everyone inside Mata Nui's original body. They would arrive in a surprse attack on Teridax by catching him off-guard by hitting him in the head. Teridax would stagger but straighten up and turn to look at the opposer by stating "You dare attack me with such a weak attempt of an attack!". Mata Nui would reply back that it is comparable to Teridax's cowardiness and his lust for power, referring to the recent take-over of his original body. Teridax would come to the realization that the other robot is Mata Nui and questions him on how the Karzahni he is back here. Mata Nui would rush at Teridax and tackle him, causing them both to fall towards the ground. Doing this, Mata Nui would transmit all of the Glatorian into the Matoran Universe, while leaving the Agori to stay inside and help keep running the prototype robot. Teridax would punch mata Nui off of him and the two would engage in an epic battle with both utilizing the available powers that both of them have. In the end, both would be heavily damaged, though Mata Nui slightly more than Teridax. Teridax would tower over Mata Nui, who is kneeling in exhaustion. Teridax would exclaim that "At last, my brother kneels to the one true being who deserves this power" and that although he put up a good fight, it is time Mata Nui accepted his true destiny. Something deep snaps and awakens inside of Mata Nui. As Teridax pulls for the final blow, Mata Nui's eyes begin to brighten. Teridax throws the punch but Mata Nui catches it effortlessly and crushes the hand, sending onto Teridax a great pain. Mata Nui would question where all this power would be coming from but soon after senses where the power is coming from and who it is from, which happens to be coming from all the inhabitants of the Mata Nui robot who deny Teridax as their ruler. Mata Nui would be greeatly inspired and stands up, revilatized with energy as the Ignika he is wearing also glows with an intense brightness. Teridax would exclaim that something like this is impossible and runs at Mata Nui. Mata Nui would charge his right fist with all the power of the Prototype Robot, the Ignika and donated to him by the Matoran Universe. He pulls back his fist and shouts with all his might "Destiny!" as he punches right through Teridax's stomach and sends energy into the robot. This energy overloads Teridax, who loses control over the Robot and his essence es destroyed down to every atom, finally ending his life. The original Mata Nui robot begins cracking up as pure light seeps through all the opening of the Robot as it explodes in a mighty explosion so great that the shockwaves were felt throughout all the planets of the once great Spherus Magna. As the battle has finally ended, Mata Nui is glad that it's finally over before he collapses in exhaustion and loses conciousness. Mata Nui would then wake up an unknown specified amount of time later in a room he does not recognize. He would get up, looking around as he questions where he is before locking his gaze upon a door that leads outside. Mata Nui would open this door, his eyes blocked by sunlight before hearing and seeing every Matoran Universe inhabitant who opposed Teridax cheering for Mata Nui. Ackar, Kiina and Gresh would come up to Mata Nui and say that he's done it, that he's ended the reign of Teridax once and for all. Mata Nui would questioned what happened afterwards, to which Ackar replies that after the battle, they went to retrieve Mata Nui, who was unconcsious but very much alive. Mata Nui then gazes out upon the cheering crowd and thinks. He finally comes to a decision and asks for silence from the crowd. He adresses a speech, saying that he does not want to be seen as a God, nor does he want to be seen as a Hero. All that he wants is to be accepted... accepted as one of them and nothing more and that although Teridax may be gone, they still have new challenges ahead that will face them and he asks for their cooperation one more time, in the hope that together, they can build a new world, one where everybody is accepted, a world which will not be exploitable to those of great power, but a world which runs itself with it's inhabitants. He knows this is a great task and would not force such a great task upon anyone. He asks who will join him in this new quest, this new Unity, Duty... and Destiny. One person would start clapping, which is joined by more and more until everyone is clapping. Mata Nui is filled with joy at all those who will be helping rebuild for the future of a better world. Mata Nui would then ask if Toa Tahu would please come up to him. Tahu would approach, slighty nervous and Mata Nui would hold out his hand for a fistbump. Tahu would recipricate the fistbump, saying "It's a honour to meet you." while Mata Nui would hold out his hand for a handshake, which Tahu accepts. Mata Nui would then say "No, the honour is mine".The end. Author Notes 1. In my opinion, Teridax's original death by smashing his head was lackluster. In this version, I wanted to spice it up a bit and give it more of a "final" feel to getting red of the big bad of Bionicle. 2. If you are wondering why Mata Nui doesn't try to reason with Teridax, I have put Mata Nui as one being fed-up with Teridax. If written properly, I may have gone into detail on Mata Nui's final choice. 3. In this explanation, the prototype robot needs to be in contact with something to teleport individuals inside of it unlike it's successor, where it can teleport things inside of it without physical contact. 4. Okay, the part where the inhabitants of the MU "donate their energy" to Mata Nui seems a bit farfetched, but in a world as large and rich in fiction like Bionicle, I personally don;t see anything wrong with it. 5. If you are wondering how everyone survived the final blow dealt to Teridax, Mata Nui transported everyone inside of Teridax to inside of himself to keep them safe from the after-effects. Note 3 explains this teleportation method. 6. Tahu being nervuous, while may seem a bit out of character, would be understanable in a situation like that. It's Mata Nui after all, the being that they have been fighting for and to save his life. 7. I never liked Mata Nui just going into hibernation in the end of the original story, which is why I have him stick around in this version of the ending.
5. Way back when there was a contest to build the AU Teridax, I started work on this guy. He was never finished in time and I've gradually changed a little here and there over the years, most recently rebuilding his warhammer into something a little more unique. The overall structure is pretty stiff, especially the legs and forearms, but he has some pretty neat shoulder-joints if I do say so myself, which give a decent degree of flexibility. He can also move his head around and his middle arms On to the images! 6. Just a what-if moc from several years ago; what if Teridax had won against the Toa Metru and been exiled to the Pit afterwards for his crimes? Now days I realize that everyone is kind of in danger if he somehow breaks it, but it still looks cool ;D
7. Unknown Location, Undefined Time-Period "Hello, pathetic hum'ns! Today marks the beginnings of a BIG project to digitally remaster--" Antroz was hit on the head by Stronius. "Erm, to thoroughly revise Terry's Horrendous Misadventures! The critically acclaimed, top-rated," Krika taps on his shoulder, pointing to the Comedy Critics, who were glaring at them disapprovingly. Antroz ignores him, and continues to speak. "...comedy written by the Dude with a Hat! Hopefully, if all goes well, we'll be rid of: Bad JokesPoor CapitalizationSmelling ErrorsConfusing PlotAnd MUCH MORE!" "So, don't expect a whole lot from this gig for a LONG while.... Infidels....." Chimed in Onewa. "And with that happy note, we bid you farewell for an unknown length of time." Finished Krika.
8. All right, now I know I might be a relatively old member on BZPower, but I still have some writing left in me. For those who aren't familiar with my comedy A Day in the life of Teridax?, this is somewhat of a sequel series. I'll post a link to it some other day, it's in the old forums somewhere. This picks up after the final story arc that involved a mysterious monster taking out various Brotherhood members. Only Teridax, Gorast, Mutraine, and Chirox survived (until Gorast disposed of him). The attack was carried out by rogue Makuta "Hodge Podge" Algorox-Almaine and his newly recruited son, Sergeant-Detective Makuta Ailles-Almaine.Episode Alpha: The Horror is Rebooted*Somewhere on Destral…*Teridax: Um… what are we doing here again?Gorast: I’m not sure, Teri. Then again, our ending wasn’t all that clear.Mutraine: No kidding. So why are we back on Destral?Antroz: Perhaps the same reason why I’m here.Teridax: Antroz! You’re alive again!Chirox: He’s not the only one.Mutran: It’s physically impossible to really know how we went from being dead to alive again.Teridax: Shut your mouth, you pointy-headed lab geek. No one likes you.Mutran Fangirls: >:[Atheron: Personally, I don’t really care, so whatever works, I guess.Velixa: Hey, what happened to Icarax?Norenka: I don’t see him anywhere.*Somewhere in the real world…*Icarax: I already told you, I’m not a vampire! I’ve been telling you this for the past 2 and half years! Why don’t you listen to me? :(Girl 6: He has to be a vampire! Just like in Twilight!Icarax: ARGH! Why must I get tormented like this?!*Back on Destral…*Teridax: Ah, we don’t need him. He always got on my nerves, anywhere. He could be in some other universe being tormented by girls who admire him for no good reason, for all I care.Bitil: What’s the point? We’re only going to get killed off again. Or bet brought back in some comedy after 2 years of being ended.Vamprah: >_>Torah: Ah, you’re both just sticks in the mud.Zartross: Easy for you to say.Gyzerox: Yeah, since you aren’t one of the missing members of our group.Teridax: I don’t care, as long as I don’t have to deal with Icarax mentioning the Natalie girl or Krika doing something stupid.Gorast: UM, Teri?Teridax: What?Krika: Look upon me, for I am your Miss Destral 2008!All: O_OTeridax: How is it he is back and we’re still missing a few of our number?Atheron: Because he’s Krika? And he thinks we’re still in 2008?Teridax: That is a plausible theory. So he still thinks this is the beginning of the series?Velixa: I guess so. Then again, I wasn’t even here the beginning of the series, so whatever.*Knock at the door.*Antroz: I’ll get it.*Antroz opens the door to find the Ask Roodaka salesman*Salesman: I’m going door-to-door to make you this incredible offer!*Antroz slams the door on his face.*Antroz: What is it with these salespeople and them trying to sell us things on Mondays?Torah: For you, it was Monday. For me… it was Amonday.Teridax: What?Torah: Amonday. It’s like Monday. But Amon. Because… because he’s Amon.Gorast: You’re dumb. You got more annoying since Icarax disappeared forever.Teridax: Well, since we’re running low on members, I guess the only thing left to do is…Gorast: Teridax, don’t say it…Teridax: Bring in our old servants.Gorast: Darn it, you said it!Antroz: Can we go out for smoothies later?Teridax: No! There won’t be smoothies until I have these guys employed again.*Some few hours later…*Roodaka: Why in the world am I even here? I’m done with Makuta, especially after everything he put me through.Sidorak: Yeah… and he did kind of destroy my house with a helicopter.Roodaka: No… that was me.Sidorak: Wait… *pauses to remember* That’s right! You never even fixed my house! You Roodaka-copter ruined it all!Roodaka: Calm down. Don’t make me have to get the stupid pills to calm you down.Sidorak: You’re making me crazy… and you don’t want to see me when I’m crazy.Teridax: Ah. Roodaka.Roodaka: Makuta.Gorast: Hussy.Roodaka: You’re still here?Gorast: You’re still living?Sidorak: Oh, burn, Roodaka.*Roodaka hits Sidorak on the head, making him fall to the floor.*Teridax: I brought you here for a very special reason.Roodaka: You’re going to apologize for putting me through all the pain and torment of a broken heart?Teridax: No. Why would I do that?Roodaka: Never mind, that was asking too much.Teridax: I’m going to give you your old jobs back.Sidorak: Yay! I’ll have a job again that won’t involve Roodaka embarrassing me on TV!Roodaka: You don’t need me to do that, Sidorak. And why should I help you?Karzahni: Because… you’re… mine now.Music: Four, tres, two, uno.Sidorak and Roodaka: NOOOO!!!!*Sidorak and Roodaka break down the doors and hide from Karzahni… who isn’t Karzahni at all.*Teridax, laughs: Thanks for going along with the plan. I knew they’d crawl back to me if they thought Karzahni was after them again.Spiriah: No problem. As much as I hate being having to change into that dreadful Karzahni, it was worth it to see Roodaka so scared.Norik: Makuta Teridax…Teridax: Ah, Norik, I see you and your team got my message.Pouks: You got some nerve.Gaaki: I can feel them… Everywhere! They’re everywhere?!Gorast: What’s with her?Bomonga: That mask of hers drives her crazy. I know how to fix it, but no one will let me.Kualus: Because hitting someone over the head with a boulder doesn’t always work.Bomonga: It worked for me.Teridax: I’ll cut to the chase. I want you to work for me again.Iruini: Why should we work for you? You tried to kill us.Teridax: Oh, come on, just think of the good time we had together.Norik: There weren’t any good times, you creep.Gaaki: Stop the voices in my head! They’re angry… they won’t leave me alone! *screams*Spiriah: Can someone get this insane woman out of my presence? She is giving me a headache.Norik: Don’t you talk about my girlfriend that way.Spiriah: Well, you’re a moron and your girlfriend needs to be institutionalized. Wait, why am I even rationalizing with you urchins?*Spiriah takes all of them in his fist in Hulk-like rage and then he jumps through the other wall. Like the kool-aid man.*Spiriah: You’re going to work for us and you’re going to like it! Or else you’ll end up like MY team of Toa Hagah!Teridax: Well, that was effective.Gorast: I’ll say.*That’s when the doors burst open and a familiar unstable female warrior shows herself.*Teridax, laughs to himself: I was beginning to wonder if you would ever show.Elitha: You really think I’d miss a chance to see your ugly face again?Gorast: Teridax is not ugly! You take that back!Teridax: No, Gorast, let her vent off some steam. She’s nothing more than an angry little child, after all.Elitha: You sadistic fool! You made me!Teridax: No… you complete me.Gorast: :(Teridax: Not like that, you weirdos.*That’s when ShadowBionics goes off to make his own ElithaXTeridax fanart and post it up for all to see.*Gorast: :)Teridax: Besides, if I hadn’t have interfered in your life, you’d be just some silly Matoran girl with silly fantasies running through your silly head all silly.Elitha: You’re a creep. And a selfish, oblivious fool. You can’t even see that your little mosquito friend is madly in love with you.Gorast, blushing: Cut that out! Besides, Teridax will love me someday.Elitha: Well, technically he did love you in Episode 95 of the original series, which got undone by The Shadowed One after he made a deal with the Farshtey.Teridax and Gorast: What?Elitha, giggles: I have knowledge and powers you can’t even begin to imagine.Teridax: What are you?Elitha: I’m your worst nightmare, Makuta Teridax.Teridax: You can’t get to me, you’re just trying to scare me.Elitha: Then I guess it’s time for this little night nurse to take the night shift… I’ll be keeping my eye on you, Teridax.*Elitha turns to her spirit form and escapes from Destral.*Teridax: She scares me.Gorast: Don’t worry, Teridax. If that little terror in red returns, I’ve got your back.Teridax: Thank you, Gorast, I knew I could count on you. Yet, I can’t help but feel we forgot something…*On some deserted island…*Hodge Podge: Soon, my son, you will be able to avenge me and get back at the Brotherhood of wrecking my life.Ailles: Yes, father… This is all just so much for me.Hodge Podge: I know, and I’m sorry I had to hide you as a Matoran on Pana Nui, but that was the only way I could protect you from the Brotherhood. Luckily, you were made from my untampered DNA… I’ll get that lousy science school dropout Mutran!Ailles: Did you say something about Icarax?Hodge Podge: Yes, but he’s out of our reach now, suffering a fate worse than death. Never the less, we will strike soon…
9. Yes, you read that right. Playing a bard in the BZPRPG has done things to my brain. It now sees potential song parodies everywhere. Personally I also find it funny when villains break character in parodies, so I thought "Why not use Makuta Terdiax for this?" I intend to have him parody one well-known song per chapter 'till either your interest or my creativity runs dry. So let's get this party started, shall we?Makuta's Sing-Along BlogChapter 1Mata Nui has risen.Everyone in the great city of Metru Nui is celebrating the event. The Toa Nuva have finally fulfilled their destiny of awaking Mata Nui, after Toa Matoro's noble sacrifice to revive the Great Spirit. The evil Makuta were all killed by the energy storms erupting in the universe core after the awakening, and the Order of Mata Nui secured control of the world above; meaning that the greatest threat to peace has been wiped out once and for all.Just as the Turaga begin to congratulate the heroes, however, I make my entrance. A cold wind spreads across the crowd, and my voice can suddenly be heard from all directions. I am Makuta Teridax... and I have just secured my position as supreme ruler of the universe. And just for that reason, I feel the need to tell the Toa exactly what I think of that matter.*Ahem*This... was a triumph.I'm making a note here: Huge success. It's hard to overstate my satisfaction!I'm the Makuta!I do what I want, because I can.For the good of all of us,except for those who must dieBut there's no sense crying over every mistakebecause evil plans, that is what I makeAnd the Rahkshi will flyAnd the Toa will dieNone of my brothersare still aliveI'm not even angry.I'm being so sincere right now.Even though you torched my face, and killed me.And tore me asunder. And threw my corpse into a pond.As I fell I laughed becauseI was so not dead! Now these masks from Toa make a beautiful pileand my evil plans are still cruel and vileSo I'm glad you understand:I'm still the ruler of this land, and the people that are still alive!Go ahead and leave me.I think I prefer to work alone.Maybe you'll find someone else to help you?Maybe Karzahni? That was a joke, haha, that fool!Anyway this Kraata's greatit's so malicious and moistLook at me still talking when there's evil to do!When I look out there it makes me glad I'm not you!I've got a universe to run, there is evil to be doneon the people that are still alive! And believe me I am still alive!I'm doing evil and I'm still alive!I feel fantastic and I'm still alive! While you are dying I'll be still alive! And when you're dead I'll be still alive!Still alive, still alive!Silence creeps across the crowd again. The only sound to be heard is the chill breeze swooping by. I allow myself to slip into obscurity once again, leaving the Toa and Matoran looking at each other in disbelief.Makuta, whom everyone had thought dead, was back, and he had taken control of their universe. And even worse... he was jolly.
10. I would like to share my latest creation, which depicts an epic clash of light and shadow (one that leaves Teridax with a bruised chin!). I recently made this moc and I am quite proud of it. C&C welcome! Also, I apologize in advance for my lack of photography skills. UPDATE: After taking into consideration feedback I have recieved and also rewatching MoL, I have made a few modifications to my original designs, as well as uploaded images of Takutanuva and alternate forms of Takanuva. 11. During the Great Cataclysm, The Makuta releases his Makuta virus into the system of Mata Nui. How? How can you get a little bit of powder infect a being the size of Earth? How much did he use? He was in the right place to do it, the "brain" of Mata Nui, but where exactly would he have put it to get into Mata Nui's system? And Mata Nui probably had some form of an immune system to such things, or another Makuta probably would have done it a long time ago. Also, since Mata Nui was mechanical, shouldn't the virus acted more like a computer virus? While bs01 says that the viruses are "energy-based organisims", I believe it has to work somewhat like a computer virus in order for it to work on Mata Nui (and other biomechanical beings).
12. Haven't touched LDD in a while, but then I was watching Mask of Light again and I noticed how much Makuta's feet looked like the Ben 10 block feet. So, this came about. 123 4 (new!) Download the .lxf file for better views. Wings because wings rule.
13. Hello everyone. This is a story I have been working on for some time. I started it several years back, so forgive me when the story starts out as pretty bad. I promise you, if you keep reading, it will improve, especially if you give me your feedback. This story revolves around the 6-month period Teridax was in control of the Mata Nui robot. I hope you enjoy what you read!Chapter 1: The Whisper(((Island half a kio from Artahka, Toa Nuva ETA 20 minutes from Metru Nui)))Twelve figures sat around a strange statue of a Kanohi Hau. It was strange in the fact that no matter where you looked, no matter what angle you saw it from, you always be staring it in the face. They had sensed the storm in Karda Nui and they knew what had happened. But a stirring was troubling them. One of the figures opened his eyes from his meditation and looked at his brothers.“Is that...?” he asked slowly.“Yes. It is. Teridax...” another said. “I knew he couldn’t stay away.”“So the Plan is... complete?” the first asked.“No. Not yet. But soon...”The first figure cursed softly under his breath. “Then perhaps it’s time for some reconnaissance.” A third figure opened his eyes from his meditation, a slight smirk spreading across his face. “Ooh, I agree,” he said.“I thought you would. But no, I think we need more... finesse... send the twins.”“Understood,” two quiet voices said at the same time.“Good,” the first figure said with a slow nod. “Teleport to Stelt. Commandeer a boat and head north to Metru Nui.”“On it,” the male voice whispered.“Consider it done,” the female voice added, and the two figures were gone. The first figure then turned to the second.“Prepare the weapon cache. It’s time.”(((South of Metru Nui, Toa Nuva ETA 8 minutes)))Lewa Nuva tapped a few controls on Axalara’s dash and leaned back nonchalantly. Pohatu did the same, the words AUTOPILOT ON flashing on his mask’s HUD. However, Kopaka kept his hands on the Jetrax’s controls, face as expressionless as ever.“Is it feeling a little cold up here, or is it just me?” Pohatu joked, smiling behind the face guard. But Kopaka did not laugh and Pohatu looked down in defeat. Gali sat on the edge of Jetrax’s wing, her legs swinging back and forth as she stared at Kopaka, who was pretending not to notice her. Tahu scoffed.“Jealous much?” Takanuva said with a slight chuckle, his size already having decreased almost to normal size.“Pfft. Me? Jealous?” Tahu laughed sarcastically. “As if...”“If you say so...” the Toa of Light said with a shrug.“Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the grand city of-“ Pohata was cut off by the sight of huge fortress walls being erected around the continent. The Toa all stared in disbelief and Gali placed her hand over her heart light.“Mata Nui protect us...”But Tahu wasn’t going to wait around. He was a leader. And he had to take action.“Pohatu, go attack the remaining ships. The ones not on fire. Lewa, Kopaka, strafe the area with fire. Everyone else, get off the ships and try and figure out what the heck is going on!” he barked, flying off towards the island. He landed and the armor shifted on his body back to its dormant state. The other three did the same and they charged towards the doors.Pohatu had already veered off, the other two craft joining him as they flew in perfect unison, drawing contour lines all across the sky as they flew. Pohatu banked slightly to get a good look at the blue Toa on the ground and smiled, waving at Hahli. But she did not wave back. He guessed she hadn’t seen him and he hit the booster on his ship, flying towards the coast. The ships began turning their cannons on him, and Pohatu flew close, low and fast, peppering the ships with fire from his vehicle’s two wing-mounted Rockslide Cannons. The heavy weapons, which were made for dealing damage to whole mountains, easily tore through the Makuta’s ships, each slowly beginning its descent to the bottom of the ocean. For the heavier ships, Pohatu smirked as he would fire his heavier blaster, the cannons setting fire to the Destroyers as they, too, began to sink.Meanwhile, Kopaka had flown over, firing his three cannons at the Rahkshi, which were screeching and jumping, swinging their staffs at the sky, only to be destroyed by the balls of pure light. When things were too danger-close to the Matoran, both he and Lewa would fire their lasers, which tore through the Rahkshi armor just as well. Within only twenty minutes, all the enemies had been destroyed, and the three ships were able to land near the Coliseum.Pohatu was the first to jump off his airship, armor instantly shifting back to its dormant shape, and he grabbed a large bulky guard angrily.“What’s going on here, huh?” he snapped. “Why is Metru Nui a-“ Tahu pulled the Toa of Stone off the guard, who was looking a bit shocked at the sudden attack.“It’s the Order of Mata Nui,” the Fire Toa said, “and if it wasn’t for them, we wouldn’t have come back to a home.”Pohatu did not answer. He bowed his head in apology and turned back to the Rockoh.“So what happened?” a voice shouted. They turned and saw both Hewkii and Hahli sprinting towards them. “Did it work?” they both yelled in unison.“Calm down,” Gali smiled, waving her hand at the two younger Toa. “We did it.”“So he’s awake? For real?” Hewkii asked, shaking with excitement.“For real,” Tahu answered. “Mata Nui is finally awake.”Hewkii and Hahli bumped fists, trying to contain their excitement, although failing as they both jumped up and shouted with joy.“So it’s true...” Dume said, hobbling over to the nine Toa. “That’s what that earthquake was, wasn’t it?” the Turaga smiled happily and Tahu nodded. Vakama soon joined his fellow Turaga and bowed.“It is an honor to welcome you back here,” Vakama remarked, turning to Dume. “Shall we?” Dume nodded, and the two walked towards one of the several elevators placed on the side of the Coliseum. Dume pushed a button on a control panel and the elevator rose. A large screen projected up in front of them as they reached the top, and the two Turaga of Fires’ faces appeared on viewscreen all over Metru Nui. Matoran, who had been scooping away parts of broken Rahkshi or attempting to rebuild rubbled shacks all looked up at the screens.“Fellow Matoran,” Dume began. “I ask you to lend an ear to our message. Your Toa Nuva have returned. The Great Spirit has awoken!” No one had to strain to hear the cheers from all across the massive city. “Tomorrow, you are all invited to the Coliseum. There will be a celebration, the likes of which has never been seen!”But Hahli did not feel like celebrating, even now. She could not help but remember Matoro, who had given his life that Mata Nui might live. And despite all the wounded and the dying among the defenders, she could not help but feel it had all been a little too ... easy. True, there had been some unexpected help: the airships, the Bohrok, the storm. But they had faced an army of Rahkshi. Something told her they should not have won, at least not with so much of the city still intact. She smiled. Turaga Nokama would have chided her for worrying so much. No matter how things seemed, the Great Spirit was awake for the first time in over one thousand years. Light had triumphed over darkness, hadn't it? The Toa had achieved their destiny and saved the universe, hadn't they? And that meant all was well again; nothing very bad could happen now, could it?Hahli turned to head toward Ga-Metru, humming a song Nokama had once taught her. One written long ago that spoke of hope for tomorrow. Perhaps, if not for the music, she might have heard the sound of dark laughter on the wind.[Review]
14. IS it just me or does Teridax outrank every other villain just with his shear power and cunning, and I'm not just talking about other Bionicle villains I mean ANY other villain, he had false defeats, backup plans, he planted false information, and nobody even knew what his real plan was until it was to late, he basically manipulated everybody until he ruled the universe, plus he had an epic defeat, can any other villain even compare to that?
15. Sorry if these have already been asked before. In the scene from LoMN, was Teridax trying to grab the Mask of Time from Vakama or was he trying to absorb Vakama into himself? If he was trying to grab the Mask, would the Hand have shattered it like the rocks he pulled in later? If he had actually absorbed the Mask (on Vakama or without), would that count as destroying it (thus destroying all of time) or would it give Makuta Voporak-like powers? And considering the fact that Teridax wanted the mask for his own use, was using that Shadow Hand power there a smart move? (The power, according to BS01, has an automatic recoil, thus causing absorption or smashing.) Did Lhikan inadvertently save all of reality here?
16. I thought Makuta Teridax would make a great subject for a dubstep song, so I made this. It's mostly an experiment, mixing samples with some original sounds. Enjoy! Listen to 'Makuta Rises'
17. This is my first Bio story in a while, so it may be rather rusty. The Descent “Him the Almighty Power, Hurled headlong flaming from th' ethereal sky, With hideous ruin and combustion down, To bottomless perdition, there to dwell, In adamantine chains and penal fire, Who durst defy th' Omnipotent to arms.”-John Milton, Paradise Lost Guilt is a terrible thing, gnawing away at your mind from the dark corners within, driving you to madness with its mental agony.Thankful, the Makuta of Metru-Nui did not have it.Teridax had committed the ultimate sin -- Thinking of a way to destroy his leader, his god and guiding spirit, Mata-Nui.He felt no remorse over doing so; Indeed, he almost seemed to enjoy this act, a fatal one if discovered. It had all started with the crushing of Pridak and his pitiful allies. Their armies stood no chance against him and his brotherhood’s might, they were wiped from existence in a way similar to how a Kane-Ra would swat a fly. It was the idea of the Barraki that was so dangerous, so powerful and unstoppable. Pridak would have a been a martyr for that idea, had not the strange teleporting being appeared. Perhaps it is better this way, Teridax thought. Martyrs have a tendency to live forever; Rather ironic, considering their deceased state.Flexing his powerful, still-organic muscles, Teridax looked around the room he occupied, considering his options. If he devoted himself to this idea of usurping the Great Spirit, it would take a lifetime, if not longer. It was possible that his idea would have to be passed on, so that if - when would have a better word, traitors did not live long- his death occurred, the idea could still reach conclusion. He tried to reason with himself, thinking about how to forget the blasphemous idea, but it was parasitic, thriving in the back of his mind, refusing to die or be forgotten for more than moments. Every time the Makuta of Metru-Nui encountered a Matoran discussing the Spirit’s kindness, the Spirit’s wisdom, the Spirit’s awesome sense of justice, he found himself thinking of the nature of their worship, their mindless love for an intangible being far away, loosely ruling them. If this Mata-Nui was so kind, so divine, why did he not share his perfection with others? Why didn’t he allow the workers to have the amount of knowledge he possessed? Why would one so great refuse to share such a paradise of mind? One needed to rise up and defeat this spirit, so that something else, something that will rule with true justice, will take its place. And so the descent into dissension began. Makuta Teridax never seemed to change to those around him, but after that heretical night, he was transformed. His faith was lost, only ambition remaining in the writhing darkness that was once a soul. His actions are legendary; Usurping Misirex, forcing the Great Spirit into an endless sleep, having his plan of inhabitation of the Universe succeeded, briefly becoming the Great Spirit he loathed, and then meeting his death at the hands of the one he thought of as the great, unjust evil, the very thing he became. And now, as his body lies wasting away, the one known as Teridax continues to influence the anarchist beings, the beings Toa and Turaga tell stories off, describing them as soulless monsters, only with destruction and killing in mind. Teridax continues to be in their thoughts, a dark role model of conquest and power. The Makuta of Metru-Nui never knew what those small thoughts would cause, never knowing he would becoming a monster of darkness, obsessed with the idea he had, but forgetting the reason for his idea. The descent of Teridax is legendary, but the beginning of the fall, the reason for one to strive for ideals, who can claim knowledge or understanding of that?
18. I had some free time, and since i felt this song would go well with this character, i made a music video.
19. It’s a brand new day, and the evil Doctor Drake, notorious holder of a Ph. D in Matoran-era history, walks up to the general bulletin board in the center of New Atero, armed with his trusty hammer, an extra large Skall knife, and a challenge painted in bright red letters. HISTORICAL CHARACTER RECLASSIFICATION NOTICE Character: Makuta Teridax Class: Honorable Hero (Challenges to this reclassification are invited to meet me in my office in twenty minutes) Doctor Drake Lawyer: That’s bad PR. You’ll be dead in twenty minutes. Doctor Drake: Not if I can prove it. (Twenty minutes later, the six Toa Nuva appear in the Doctor’s office, not withstanding Tahu, looking especially irritated, and Vezon, because he likes the Doctor for some reason not worth mentioning) Doctor Drake: You have come to answer my challenge? Tahu: Yes. Teridax was a murderer! Doctor Drake: Well, he murdered a bunch of Makuta who were rooting the minds of innocent Matoran in Kini Nui, and a few hundred Rahkshi that he created. Of course, that was to defeat the evil Voporak, so I’m willing to excuse his personal self sacrifice. Gali: Not to mention a boatload of Rahi and Matoran. Doctor: Which are not further infesting this planet, contributing to more than their share of problems for the native inhabitants. Tahu: Such as? Drake: Overpopulation, for one thing. Gali: How dare you! Teridax nearly killed the Great Spirit Mata Nui! That would have nicely solved your overpopulation problem, you scoundrel! Drake: He also waylaid the Barraki with his own attacks, allowing the valiant Toa Mahri to send Matoro to save Mata Nui’s life. Lewa: Just so he could take the robot over. Drake: Which allowed the Great Spirit to arrive here, and power up the hunks of junk in the desert, which further facilitated the restoration of this planet. Lawyer: You are insane. Drake: Excuse me? Lawyer: No, I was talking about him. (He points to Vezon, who is enthusiastically nodding along with everything Drake says) Onua: You forget that he caused needless pain and hardship for countless beings, not to mention unnecessary deaths. *looks at Gali* Vezon: I did? Onua: (Ignoring Vezon) He also is responsible for my fellow Toa’s …transformation…due to the insidious Rahkshi armies. Drake: In other words, he built up your character to lead the Matoran on this planet, to prepare you. I would expect nothing less from such a great leader. I am sure your final test – he gestured to Tahu – will further benefit you in ways unexpected. Vezon: Thank You. Pohatu: What are you trying to gain by this? Teridax is dead. Drake: It is not wise to speak ill of the dead. Vezon: I’m not dead! I’m not dead! Lawyer: We know. Tahu: For the sake of peace in our society, you are under arrest. Drake: I am simply a conscientious objector. You have no right to arrest me. Lawyer: And what point would that serve, other to create unnecessary hassles on my client, sir? Drake: Well, he is part Makuta. Vezon: I’m not dead. I mean, he’s not dead…wait… Pohatu: I think we need some time to think this over. Agreed? He looks around questioningly at the irritated Toa. One by one, they stomp out the door, Tahu smashing the threshold in raw fury. Vezon follows. A few seconds later, a Spiket cart charges past, nearly running over the Skakdi. At the last second, he flips out of the way. Vezon: I’m not dead! Drake: And neither am I. Lawyer: It’s a good thing I didn’t bet on that one. So who’s next on the list? Mata Nui? Drake smiles menacingly. Drake: No, pal. Remember, the Great Spirit is off limits. His flaws have already been categorized by the Authority on such matters. But as for the next challenge…that is for me to know, and you to not find out. He settles back in his chair, deep in thought. Doctor Drake sits up in his chair. fishers64: So you’re going to answer a few questions about this comedy. Drake: Isn’t that your job? Lawyer: It’s my job! I’m head of public relations! fishers64: Very well. The Lawyer will now answer questions relating to this comedy. Can I guest star in this comedy? Lawyer: It’s an extremely dangerous proposition, but you may enter the highly dangerous world of this comedy to defend your favorite character from the tyranny of the Doctor. While I would advise against this, opposite rules apply. You may choose to defend your favorite hero from being classified as a villain, or you may try to prove that villain is really out to destroy the world. How often will this comedy be updated? Lawyer: As soon as the Doctor can come up with a new challenge, which usually takes about a week. However, if a lot of people are attacking his positions, he usually tends to accelerate matters. (And for some reason, fall weather makes his mind slow down – I haven’t quite figured that out yet) Are there any specials planned for this comedy? Lawyer: That’s a question for our humanoid liaison. fishers64: Maybe if we get a lot of guest defenders for a particular character, we’ll do something special. Other than that… Doctor: That is for me to know, and you not to find out. fishers64: We have to tell them about K- *Doctor slaps hand over fishers64’s mouth* Okay! Okay! Fine, I guess that wasn’t part of the contract. Lawyer: No, it most certainly was not. fishers64: If you dare, join us next time on Spinning Doctor Drake! *looks at Doctor and the Lawyer* We’re all right…kinda.

23. Okay, so if Makuta Teridax was destined to take over the Mata Nui robot, why was he so inexperienced at it when he got to the top? You would think that if the Great Beings wanted him to do it, then they would have given him some training on How To Operate a Giant Robot. But Tahu said that there was a learning curve involved. When Makuta got there, there was a learning curve involved, to the point where it was awhile before he could even get the robot's sensor's working. His knowledge of the inside of himself was imperfect and incomplete, allowing the Toa to escape capture. Given that the mission that that robot was on was vital, it would have been important (if there were two robots as originally planned) to know the work of operating the Mata Nui robot and putting the planet parts back together, it just seems odd that he didn't know this. Why is that?
24. Bionicle: The Shadows Inside By Ignacis I feel fine and I can smileBut I feel the anger coming. It's underneath I don't know whyIt's always overflowing. It's a constant fight deep insideAnd I want to forget it.I confess I’m always afraid,Always ashamed of what's inside me.I confess I’m always afraid,Always ashamed of what's inside my head.REDInnocents and InstinctCopyright 2009 The Toa Nuva, accompanied by their leader Toa Mata Tahu, struggled against their chain bonds as the Shadowed One examined each of them with the utmost care. Their Kanohi had been stripped from them, as well as their weapons. Even their Toa Symbols had been taken from their makeshift villages in the newly formed Matoran settlement on Spherus Magna. It had started off as any other day, but without warning, the Dark Hunters had appeared, taken the Toa Nuva and Tahu captive and brought them to their newly built fortress on the outskirts of Bara Magna. After they had been beaten and battered by a variety of the Shadow One's cronies, and each of the Toa was strapped to a large pillar in the fortress's dungeon, where the Shadowed One now paced, as if waiting for someone to arrive. "You are probably wondering why I brought you here," he said, stopping in front of Tahu. "Well, if you must know, I am here to become the next great hero of this world." "What in the name of Karzanhi are you talking about?" exclaimed Gali, lifting her head high enough to meet the Shadowed One's gaze. "Silence you pathetic waste of Protodermis!" said the Dark Hunter Amphibax, who was standing next to Gali. There was a loud thud as the Dark Hunter punched Gali in the stomach, causing her to lost her breath and keel over, help up only by her bonds. The Shadowed One snickered. "Foolish Toa. You think your insults phase me? I have your powers, your precious Kanohi and even your Toa Symbols. I could incinerate you right now, but fortunately for you, I have bigger plans than just destroying the most powerful Toa in the universe." His back was to them now, and Tahu could see the Shadowed One's third leg. He then turn to gaze at the Toa out of the corner of his eye, an evil sneer across his face. "You see, I am the one who is going to destroy Teridax one and for all, but I will need your 'help' to do so." "Then why did you feel the need to kidnap us? And what makes you think Makuta is still alive?" asked Tahu, struggling against his bonds. "It's quite simple, Toa of Embers. Teridax cannot die unless all of his antidermis is destroyed," said the Shadowed One, his voice barely above a whisper. There was a loud bang, followed by a serious of grunts and clang of footsteps on the cold, stone floor of the dungeon. Tahu strained his eyes to see what was causing the commotion, but whatever it was, it was making sure to stay out of a sight. When the footsteps stopped, the grunts increased, as well as the rustle of what sounded like fabric. There was a loud thud, the sound of a small scuffle, and then two Dark Hunters appeared, dragging something behind them. Tahu recognized them as Gladiator and Minion, two of the organization's strongest members. After they slammed and fastened what they were dragging onto a rack of some kind, Minion began to shift and almost pace as if irritated by being in the room. The Shadowed One approached him and spoke softly. "He's here, isn't he?" Minion spoke, in a garbled voice, like he was speaking with a mouth full of water. It chilled Tahu to the core as it echoed eerily in the room, thought it was barley over a whisper. "Yes…he is here…I sense him…all over…like…he is…them!" "Then your usefulness has ended," he said, and blasted Minion with his laser vision. There was an explosion of energy, and the massive Dark Hunter fell to the ground and lay there in a pile, unmoving. The Shadowed One turned around and pointed at the rack. "Remove the shield!" Gladiator nodded and ripped something off the rack, holding it high in the air for all to see. Tahu thought it looked like a Kanohi of some kind, but it was solid protosteel and shapeless, with no slits for eyes or any other notable features on its surface. "Bring him forward," said the Shadowed One, stepping to the side. Gladiator pushed the rack forward into the low light from the various candles that filled the room. Strapped spread eagle to the rack was a Toa with dark silver and white armor. He gasped and coughed as he tried to lift his head up to see his surrounding. Tahu felt helpless as he stared at the battered Toa. As a moan escaped the Toa's mouth, and he gasped under his breathe, his voice almost cracking. "Takua…no…" The Shadowed One rapped his staff three times on the ground, and another Dark Hunter, one called Airwatcher, appeared with a two, small bundles to the Shadowed One's left. He gave one to the Shadowed One, and emptied the contents of the other onto the floor near him. Tahu heard a loud clatter as what seemed like Kanohi of some kind hit the floor, though he could not tell which ones they were in the dim light. The Shadowed One removed the cloth from his bundle, and revealed a golden Kanohi, which lit up the cavern and nearly blinded the Toa as its bright light fell on them. The Shadowed One then placed the Kanohi on Takanuva, which made his body lurch as if he had been electrocuted. The Tahu and the others cried out in utter helplessness as the golden armor of Takanuva, the Toa of Light, now shone in the dimly lit dungeon. The Shadowed One leaned in, his face just inches from Takanuva's mask and spoke to him in a chilling voice. "Now, just as we discussed," he said, pointing to the Toa. "I…can't…I…won't…" he gasped, laying his head back against the rack. "Then I'll make you!" said the Shadowed One. With blinding speed, he grabbed a Kanohi from the ground and slammed it onto Takanuva's face, banging his head against the back of the rack with a loud thud. Takanuva seemed to be filled with energy now, and began to fight against his bonds. The Shadowed One picked up another Kanohi and slammed it on Takanuva's face, causing the Toa of Light to start to glow more brightly, and once again bang his head on the back of the wooden rack. "How long can you hold all this energy, Toa of Light?" cried the Shadowed One, slamming yet another mask onto Takanuva's face. "If you release too much, you'll incinerate all of your fellow Toa. Release too little, and you'll destroy yourself. Is that a gamble you honestly want to take?" He slammed yet another Kanohi onto Takanuva's face, causing him to glow even brighter. As the Shadowed One raised another Kanohi from the ground, Tahu gasped as he caught the mask's outline in the dim light. He's giving him Masks of Elemental Energy! Thought Tahu. But if he isn’t more careful, he's going to knock Takanuva unconscious! Doesn't the Shadowed One realize that he could kill us all if he keeps doing that? The Shadowed One slammed another Kanohi onto the Toa of Light's face, causing the Av-Toa's head to bounce violently off the back of the rack yet again. Even as the leader of the Dark Hunter's raised another Kanohi up, the Toa of Light did not utter a sound of protest or pain. This seem to anger the Shadowed One even more as he screamed at Takanuva, his voice echoing several times over in the large, empty chamber. "Release your powers Toa of Light! Do it now!" The Toa of Light looked up and gazed into the eyes of the Tahu's team. "I'm…sorry,” he whispered, and as his head collapsed back onto the rack, he let out a shout of pain. Tahu closed his eyes as an explosion of light came from Takanuva, and washed over the Toa's bodies. Maybe it was his body shutting down, or his mind blocking it out, but Tahu felt no pain from the light. Instead, he felt like something was coursing through out his body, causing him to writhe and struggle to get away. Then, the pain hit him. It was pain like he had never known before. It was like his very soul was being torn from his body, and then torn in two. Memories flashed before his eyes, blurring and stirring his thoughts into a confusing swarm of consciousness, preventing him from distinguishing reality from his memories. Suddenly, the scattered fragments of his psyche then began to focus on one event. It was fuzzy at first, but eventually stabilized and he could now see a figure before him, black as soot and battling against him, a rusted Kanohi Hau on his face. He fought off several blows before his attacker spoke to him. "Take care, Tahu," said his attacker, his voice crackling like fire. "Lest the fire of your anger blaze out of control." "We'll see how you like my fire now," he said and unleashed a wave of fire that melted the very rock between them. He continued to battle his attacker, matching him blow for blow. Tahu felt like his mind was caught between the past and present, melding into some strange time paradox. Around him, the other Toa were battling versions of themselves, with little success. Then, his memories began to shutter, like his vision was trying to correct itself. There was a sudden blast and he saw Gali's attacker vanish in a cloud storm of fire, only to have his vision shift to the shadowy attackers regrouping to face the Toa as a group. "We can't beat them, they are just too powerful!" exclaimed Gali. His vision shifted again, showing Gali washing away Onua's attacker with a massive flood. As Onua went to attack Lewa's opponent, his vision shifted back to their enemies closing in on them as a group as he had seen before. "They match us move for move, as if they know what we are going to do next!" said Pohatu. Tahu's vision shifted again to see Pohatu suddenly fighting his attacker in the corner of the room. "Guys?" he called breathlessly. "Um, hey- anyone want to give me a hand here?" As Kopaka turned towards the Toa of Stone, Tahu's vision shifted again to see Kopaka and the other standing in a line around him, preparing to attack the Shadow Toa who were closing in on them. "It's because they are us!" said Kopaka, unleashing a snowstorm against their attackers. The Shadow Tahu released a torrent of energy, and Kopaka quickly created a wall of ice all around the Shadow Toa, allowing the Toa Mata to retreat to another section of the cavern while they tried to escape from. "What do you mean, brother?" asked Onua, summoning a massive dome of earth over their attackers as they huddled up, still facing the spot where their attackers were imprisoned. "Remember that Matoran was selling the infected Koli balls to the Matoran? The one Takua told us about?" "Yeah, he disappeared. What does that have to do with these Toa we are fighting now?" asked Pohatu, adding another wall of defense to hold their opponents captive. "Everything! Don't you see? We see the Matoran as faithful servants of Mata Nui, but then why would Ahkmou purposely sell those Koli balls to the Matoran?" said Kopaka. The Toa looked at him perplexed, but then Gali seemed to understand. "It is because we all have the choice to do great good or great evil," said Gali. "What is to stop us from now from ending this battle by offering our service to the Makuta? Nothing but our free will, and our heartfelt destiny to reawaken Mata Nui. It is our choices that make us Toa Heroes, instead of tyrants like Makuta." An explosion rocked the room, sending ice, earth and stone flying through the air. The Toa each summoned the power of their Kanohi Hau's, and shielded themselves from the onslaught of debris. As the Shadow Toa emerged from a cloud of dust, Lewa jumped in front of the other Toa and crouched into a battle ready stance. "Well, this has been a great deep-thought conversation, brothers," said Lewa, unleashing a blast of air at their attackers. "But how does that help us stop those things from making us Rahi-bones?" Tahu thought about Lewa's words carefully as he summoned a wall of fire to help impede their steady march towards his team. He thought about how he had nearly lost control of his anger not long after he had landed on the shores of Mata Nui and how tempting it had been to give into his anger and unleash all of his power on that beach, and even the world. It had made him realized just how close he came to giving into his inner darkness, even though he fought for justice and freedom of his Matoran friends. Tahu knew what he had to do and looked around at his fellow Toa. "If those things truly are reflections of us," he said, preparing his sword. "Then perhaps it's time we had a heartlight to heartlight talk with ourselves!" The others understood and readied their weapons as well. Giving a battle cry, Tahu charged, and the other Toa followed suit, yelling at the top of their lungs. The Shadow Toa charged as well, and the two forces met in the middle of the chamber. Locking weapons with his attacker, Tahu pressed his mask up to his shadow version's mask. "So, you say we are one in the same, monster?" "Of course I am you, foolish Toa! Do you finally see the truth?" "Yes I do, and it is time we see how alike we really are!" With a sudden burst of strength, Tahu broke free from his attacker and slammed his body into his Shadow self. As the being seemed to disperse into the air, he found himself engulfed in pain as the Shadow Tahu began to swirl and mass of shadow energy around him. To his left and right, his fellow Toa were also crying out as their enemies were covering them in a whirling mass of darkness. As the darkness continued to whirl around them, the voice of his enemy filled his head, and seemed to break apart as if being cut off by another voice trying to communicate with him as well. "This is not the end, Toa! I shall return!" Tahu suddenly felt his head fly back and he gazed up at the cavern's ceiling, as the dark mass seemed to enter his body from his mouth. As the dark mass seemed to fill his body, his vision once again began flash back and forth between his current battle and the images of the Toa destroying the other's Toa's shadow doubles with their various elemental attacks. Then the world began to swirl, almost blending together in a chaotic mixture of past and present, fact and fiction and light and darkness. With a final convulsion, Tahu found himself gasping for air and staring up at the ceiling of a dark room, pinned to a massive pillar by metallic bonds. As the Toa Nuva came out of their daze, they all looked up to see the Shadowed One getting into a battle stance and shouting at a large, greenish mass that was now floating in the middle of the chamber. "Get his body ready! He won't last long without something to house him!" "What is the meaning of this? What is going on?" said a deep, raspy voice in Tahu's head. He knew that voice. It was the voice of Makuta Teridax communicating through telepathy. The voice made even Tahu cringe, and he now knew what the greenish cloud must be. It was the last remaining portion of Teridax's antidermis, which had housed itself inside the bodies of the Toa Nuva, like they had taken him hostage. Our souls must have kept Makuta pinned down inside of us, knowing what great evil he would have committed should he have escaped! Thought Tahu, as he stared at the swirling cloud above them. But why is the Shadowed One giving him a body? He will only grow stronger if he finds something to house his spirit! "I have freed you from your Toa captures to finish what we started on Metru Nui over 1,000 years ago, Teridax! And today, you will not be able to escape!" "Foolish, Shadowed One. You claim to the all knowing leader of a powerful organization, but you do not realize how clueless you really are!" "What do you mean? I was the one who discovered the full layout of your plan to take over the universe! Did you really think I would not consider you would have a backup plan in case you failed even after your greatest victory? Surely even you cannot be so headstrong you would have an oversight like that? No, I know you have schemes within schemes and plans within plans so that even if you fail, you still keep yourself five steps ahead of your enemies! Well, I have learned from your treachery and I did some scheming of my own! And now, I will be the one who will finally destroy you, and claim my rightful place as the rightful ruler of this universe!" "Against my knowledge, you are nothing more than a Hoto bug in terms of intelligence, Shadowed One. Which is why I will not fight you today. Instead I will leave you now, and let you rethink your glorious plan." The mass suddenly dove towards the ground, and dissipated into Minion through the small gaps in his indestructible armor plating. The massive Dark Hunter then rose from the ground writhing and squirming as if in massive amounts of pain. After Minion rose to his full height, he writhed for several more seconds, and then suddenly roared in the voice of Teridax, raising a massive clawed hand high into the air. Before he could counter the attack, Teridax struck the Shadowed One with a massive blow to his face. The other Dark Hunters sprang into action to subdue him, but Teridax struck them with a blast of laser vision, combined with his chain lightening power from one hand and sonic power from his other. As the various Dark Hunters collapsed to the ground, Teridax turned and unleashed a similar attack on the Shadowed One that sent him flying through the air and through a nearby wall. When the dust settled, Makuta had vanished from view leaving Tahu and his fellow Toa chained to the wall. As the Shadowed One began to stir and recover from the massive blast, Tahu suddenly felt himself being freed. He turned to see Takanuva, using small beams of light to break the Toa's bonds. As soon as he was free, Tahu helped free his fellow Toa. The two Toa worked quickly and as soon as Kopaka's bonds were destroyed, they ran up the flight of stairs that lead out of the dungeon toward the main level of the fortress. As Tahu collected his Kanohi and weapons from a room just to the left of the stairs, he turned and unleashed a torrent of fire at the doorway, blocking any pursuit from the Dark Hunters. The Toa continued to run out of the Dark Hunter's fortress, battling its various members as they went. When they finally reached the exit, the Toa hijacked several of the Hunter's vehicles from the fortresses courtyard and took off towards the Matoran settlement.
