  1. Hi, I'm looking for a few Toa and other items to buy.TOA -$5-Gali Mata-Kopaka MataKANOHI-Golden Kaukau Mata -$1-Pink-eyed Toa mata head -$1-Infected Hau (from Muaka and Kane-Ra) -$4You send first please. It's preferable if you are in the U.S.Thanks and leave a comment or shoot me a PM if interested!-Longcat is Long!
  2. I've finally finished my contest entry! I know a Toa of fire is a pretty unoriginal idea compared to the things I could've done, but I was just in a Toa-making mood. This actually turned out much better than I expected. The only part I really dislike is the lower legs, which turned out worse than the rest because by the time I got to them I was running out of Mata red. I think I like the arms the most, they turned out really good in my opinion. I'm also especially proud of how much better these pictures are than my older ones, I messed around with them in GIMP and Microsoft Office and it made them so much better. But enough of what I think, I'll just show it to you! (click the ominous dark face up there for the entry picture)PoseAnother PoseHeadFrontBackSideBrickshelf Gallery Comment, constructive criticism, and of course votes are all greatly appreciated!
  3. My entry for the contest. I spent a lot of time searching for the USB drive that had the photos when they were on the laptop the whole time! Yeah.PoseFrontSideBackSo, C&CC as always, please...Am I supposed to give any backstory? No? Ok. Edit: Image thumbnailed due to file size. Please keep posted images in BBC to 100 kB.-Wind-
  4. Well, here's another one of my creations. Originally, I wanted to build my self MOC, but unfortunately, I don't have enough brown pieces, so I wanted to test his custom torso out, and ended up with a lot of red pieces. (By the way, if you have Onewa Metru, and would like to sell, PM me!)So, you probably don't want to hear the full story, so here's the MOC!Front ViewBack ViewHere's the part that I was a bit questionable on, mostly with the Metru arms as the back. It looks good, but it's kind of bulky from the side.Disk Launcher storageI had to make sure that he could still store his disk launcher, partially so he could fly, and also so he could have free hands.Pose 1Such an overused cliche, but I'm going to say it anyways: "you feelin' lucky, punk?"Pose 2Could be a take off pose, but I mostly based it off of this bottom right panel of comic 12, the fly-by disk throw. Custom partsHe's completely custom, not as much as I wish I could do though. Here you can see how I built him pretty well.Custom TorsoHere's the custom torso I was wondering about, with the Metru arms on back folded up. It would also make a nice body with wings if you could fill in the gaps on the sides.Comparison ShotI originally got two Vakamas, and so I thought I'd do a comparison. Unfortunately, my little brothers stole one of my Hunas, and I couldn't find it for this shot, so you'll have to make do with the adaptive Hau, which doesn't look bad. And even with my two Vakamas, I can't find one of this Metru disk. :PSo, that's pretty much it. Here's the gallery when public, comments and critism, especially on the Torso, would be appreciated. Expect a lot more MOCs from me soon, as long as I can stop borrowing pieces from other MOCs (interesting note, the backs of Vakama's legs were completely borrowed from my self MOC, I showed it off here on the old BZP . That was a pain to find.).But wait, there's more! Before you leave, check out post #10, where I show off the new version of Vakama that I redesigned based on the member's critique! Please look at this before you go on posting about the back, lack of red, or black arms, thanks!
  5. Here's one of my latest creations - Tali Toa of waterTali is a member of the ruling family of the Water Province in Cathay. After becoming a Toa she received the golden water Dao, a massive blade that she channels her water powers through. Since wielders of water have been trained to be calm, even when in battle, the weapon is odd in that the edge will become sharper the more she channels her power and her anger into it. Cathay faces numerous threats from rival nations, as well as extraterrestial invasions and it is up to Tali to live up to the legends of Toas of the past to bring balance back to her world.Tali is part of a toa team that I'm building (They're all about titan sized.) Sorry about the bad photos - taken with a cell phone camara.Gallary: http://www.brickshel...ry.cgi?f=505325
  6. Wind-Rider: Hey guys~! It’s been a while since I’ve even thought about this site, much less the comedy I had written about glomping these characters several years ago. BUT!! It needs to be rewritten, because not only do I feel like it, but I’m disappointed that I did most of the skits in script form. Sure, it’s funny, but it’s not the same as a good prose. Narrator: Unless that prose is drabbling on non-important factors, of course. Wind-Rider: So, I’ll do my best to write each of the glompings in prose~! X3 Of course, I’ll try not to make them too wordy or anything, or that might be unappealing for you guys. ; Narrator: So for now, here’s the first chapter, and we hope you enjoy it…and the resulting insanity and headache-inducing confusion this ‘thing’ standing next to me is bound to cause. Me: *grins*_______________________________ Who are we glomping? Tahu Nuva Where? Tren Krom Break Static fills the air for a moment before the camera flicks on, revealing a Toa of Gravity as he stares at the camera in confusion. “Hey, kid, what’s the red light mean again?” he asked as he looked off to the side. “That means it’s recording,” a young female voice replied back. “And please call me Shayinko, or even just ‘Shay’.” “Oh!” the Toa of Gravity gasped, juggling the camera in his hands for a moment before he lifts it up and points it at a young human girl that’s standing next to a Toa of Plasma. “Okay, ready!” “What’s the point of all this again?” the Toa of Plasma asked in confusion as he looked down at the short human. Shay chuckled as she said, “It’s supposed to be like a documentary of sorts, where we record someone in their natural habitat before they get glomped and the steps that are necessary to do so.” The Toa of Plasma blinked as he stared at her for a moment before he asked, “What’s a ‘glomp’?” She sighed as she pulled a dictionary from behind her back—which was odd, as she wasn’t wearing a pack—and began leafing through the pages until she came across a specific page. “Glomp: noun. To hug someone with sheer amounts of affection and adoration. It can be performed in a variety of ways and styles, and it is extremely difficult to remove the glomper from the victim.” Snapping the book shut, she tossed it away—and cringing when it shattered a window and a cat screeched. “Uh…yeah…that’s the basic definition of it,” she said to the camera before pointing somewhere behind her. “And I think we should move…now.” “Why?” the Toa of Gravity asked from behind the camera. “MY GLASS COLLECTION! !!!” a voice roared in rage, causing the girl to stiffen in fear before she grabbed the Toa of Plasma’s hand and bolted. “Run! Kopaka’s on a rampage!!” she screamed. The camera suddenly became encased in ice, landing in the sand and showing a Toa of Ice chasing the three before it turned to static. /Two Hours Later/ The camera came back on, showing Shay frowning at it in annoyance. “Dang it…this is the third camera this week,” she grumbled as she handed it back to the Toa of Gravity. “If this keeps up I could pay for college twice!” “Quit complaining,” the Toa of Plasma grumbled, sporting a new bruise under his eye and his arm in a cast. “At least he spared you from any pain after he chased us half-way across the island.” “I’m still shocked that he kept up with us for that long,” she replied with a weird-ed out expression on her face. “Anyway, now that that’s out of the way, LET’S GET TO GLOMPING!!!” She shoves a stack of papers into the Toa of Plasma’s hand and said, “You get to be the Narrator, who explains all the steps to the readers!” He blinks at her for a moment and said, “What ‘readers’? We’re recording something with a camera!” “Details, details,” she shrugged. “Just read the tips.” The Narrator sighs as he holds up the paper and reads, “Our first target for today is a Toa of Fire named Tahu Nuva. Step one: find out where he likes to relax or just be alone.” “Here’s my favorite part,” the human grinned. “Time for a wipe!” Before anyone could react, she reached off the screen of the camera and pulled, a sheet of reds and browns appearing as she moved it to the other side of the screen, showing her and the Narrator now standing on the outside of the Tren Krom Break. The Narrator blinked in shock and disbelief as he slowly turned to her and asked, “W-What just happened? How in Mata Nui’s name did we get from Po-Koro and into Ta-Wahi??” “A wipe,” she replied. “It’s a comedy thing where you can change scenes quickly, like in a flashback. Oh look, there’s Tahu! Quick, hide!” She yanked him and the camera-Toa down behind a stone column, carefully poking her head out as she watched the Spirit of Fire. He seemed to be thinking of something, most likely about an argument that he and Gali had. “Read the next tip,” she whispered. The Narrator sighed as he held up the script again, saying, “Step two: make sure that you have scouted the area and that there is no one around to warn your target. Then, make sure you find a good hiding place where you won’t overshoot or land both of you in something unpleasant.” ZIP! Shay had disappeared from the Narrator’s side, causing him to blink as he looked out and saw her peeking out from behind a much smaller rock. Eyes darting this way and that, she zipped to another rock and disappeared from sight. He sighed and pressed his mask into his hand before he looked at the script again. “Step three: once you have a clear shot, think of something to shout so that he either won’t think your attacking him, or just to be random.” A thumbs-up appeared from behind the rock before it disappeared again when Tahu walked by. Once he had passed it, the rock lifted up to reveal a pair of eyes beneath it. Raising an eye-ridge at this odd behavior, the Narrator looked at the list again and blinked. “Step four…‘attack’?” he read in confusion. “BLAZING COURAGE! !!!” Tahu whirled around in shock as the human shot out from beneath the rock, yelling before grunting in surprise when she tackled him in the middle. “What the slag?!” he roared as he glared down at the human, attempting to pry her off his torso. “Let go of me!” She giggled and shook her head. “No~!” she chirped. “You need your daily dose of hugs and glomps, or your day won’t be complete!” Tahu growled at her in annoyance before he looked up, spotting the Narrator and the Camera Toa still hiding behind the rock. “That thing better not go on the air,” he ground out, “or you two are dead when I get her off!”____________________________ Me: Just because he told them that, doesn’t mean it applies to me. XD Narrator: You’re just trying to get us killed, aren’t you? Me: No, that just comes with the job description. Besides, you guys go through the same hazardous situations as Toa, what’s so different about this? Narrator: The fact that they’re caused by you? Me: Oh hush… *turns to the audience* So, tell me what you think~! Yes, this is a rewritten chapter from my old comedy, but this might be the only one unless you guys want me to rewrite another old chapter/skit. If you guys have any suggestions for who to glomp next, feel free to let me know, and if I like it enough, I might just be tempted to write it~! Oh, and just so you know, Shay is not my name, it's a name that I gave to a character I created long ago and just finally decided to name her. Oh, and also, if you wish to guest star, just send me a note or something and I'll see if I have time to squeeze you in, alright? ;P
  7. This is the review topic for my epic Bionicle Evolution which can be found here http://www.bzpower.com/board/index.php?showtopic=4585Comments are appreciated as well as corrections on grammer and spelling that I may have missed.
  8. Hello. This is the first time I've ever posted an Epic and also the first time I've ever posted in the Library Forums. This story details my interpretation of the adventures of the Shperus Magna and Matoran Universe characters after the 2010 storyline. As the post 2010 story serials have not updated in some time and appear as if they will stay dormant indefinately, I chose to write around some of the loose story threads in them as I have no idea what Greg was planning for them (for example I'm choosing to write around the Red Star plotline) The review topic can be found here http://www.bzpower.c...?showtopic=4586 Bionicle Evolution Chapter 1With a slow grinding and clanking noise, the lift began to rise. Onua’s eyes were already struggling to adjust to the light as he came up from the depths. He was nervous, for he was not only climbing up towards the light, but also back towards the inquisitive eyes of many beings. The Toa Nuva were heroes again. It had happened a few weeks ago in those tense hours of chaos after the end of it all. The Toa’s mortal enemy, the Makuta, had finally been vanquished once and for all thanks to the power and bravery of the Great Spirit, Mata Nui. Makuta had stolen the Great Spirit’s original form, a massive mechanoid which had contained the world the Matoran and Toa had inhabited. This had posed a problem. For as Makuta fell dead upon the ground of the reborn Spherus Magna, the mechanoid began to shut down, and in three days its systems would completely collapse, dooming all within. It would be impossible to evacuate a universe within that time, but the Toa could not abandon the Matoran who had endured so much to get to this day.The Toa didn’t have to face this challenge alone however. The inhabitants of this new world, the Agori, were quite willing to help those who were aligned with their friend Mata Nui. Indeed, the Agori had experience in this department, having weeks ago had unwittingly dragged ancient robot parts across the dessert to serve as a village. Mata Nui had latter used that massive robot to fight Makuta, and it to lay destroyed across the land. This new challenge was more difficult though. The Robot the Agori had assembled was smaller, it hadn’t contained the additional weight of universe within it, and the Agori had only moved separate parts, not a cohesive whole. But it was crucial that the robot be moved. Makuta’s defeat had caused the robot to fall on its side, meaning the level of death and destruction within would only increase once the internal gravity stabilizers failed and the Matoran fell away from the landmasses. But they had succeeded. Organizing quickly, the Toa realized that enough beings with the enhanced strength of a Kanohi Pakari might just be able to pull the robot onto its back. That’s were the Toa Nuva came in. With four Kanohi Pakari Nuva at their disposal they split up, gathering a large group of Agori, Glatorian, Toa and other beings with each of them to different areas along the side of the robot. Cables were anchored to the metal hull, and together they pulled, all strengthened by Kanohi Nuva and their ability to share powers. Thousands of beings, all gifted with enormous strength, pulled in unison, and slowly the robot began to move unto its back. Momentum increased and the metal giant, propelled by the planets gravity, began to fall over. Sensing the danger, the Toa Nuva quickly summoned their Kanohi Kakama Nuva so they could evacuate their groups several hundred miles from the robots impact. The robot was now in a position where the failing internal gravity of the universe was aligned with the natural gravity of Spherus Magna. In the days that followed, aided by exidian and protosteel tools, as well as Toa of magnetism and iron, they had cut holes through the top hull of the robot. Now the evacuation of flying beings would be easier, and the natural circulation of air and sunlight through the holes would keep the eternal environment somewhat habitable once the robot’s backup systems completely failed. It was towards one of those holes that Onua was now ascending. He was on a lift that had been constructed to carry beings and valuables out of Metru Nui’s dome. He had made many trips like this one already, carrying useful supplies and equipment down to Spherus Magna. After reaching the top of the robot’s head where the island of Mata Nui previously existed, he would descend down the side using scaffolds constructed by Matoran and Agori. After handing his load off to a transport caravan, Ouna triggered his Kakama Nuva and sped towards New Atero, a citadel, that once completed, would be a haven for beings from both worlds. As he ran, the world a blur around him, Onua’s mind returned to a matter gravely concerning him. It had been over a month since the Makuta’s defeat and still no sign of Lewa had been found. Kopaka and Pohatu had covered many kio, but all they had found were the remains of a nightmare. Now the Toa had separated, each to pursue matters most pressing to them.“This is not good”, thought Onua as he arrived at the outskirts of the growing citadel,” I thought we learned the error of forsaking unity back on Mata Nui.”--------The two masks were inches from each other. There were eyes filled with uncertainty behind one of them, but the other was empty. Not even the metallic stitches that once held the patchwork Kanohi together could keep the mask cohesive now.“It’s over. You know that, right? It’s finally over.”Lesovikk pulled his eyes away from the destroyed Olisi and looked down at his companion, the Ta Matoran Sarda. “Yes, it’s over,” said Lesovikk after a pause. The brooding Toa of Air had spent centuries hunting Karzahni, looking for Matoran friends that had been mangled and hidden by the twisted being. Now one such friend, Sarda, stood at his side, and Karzanhi was dead. Toa Kopaka and Pohatu had returned with his body and with the allegation that Lesovikk had been responsible for his death. In his mind, Lesovikk admitted that some part of him would have relished the act, but in reality he knew he hadn’t become so consumed with vengeance to actually go through with it. The chief charge Kopaka had presented had been Lesovikk’s own sword. Just when it seemed as if life had conspired to wreck Lesovikk’s life even further, a powerful figure named Axonn had appeared, absolving Lessovikk of all guilt using his mask of Truth. The Kanohi verified Lesovikk’s story that he had lost his blade in a scuffle with a large group of Skakdi following a strange golden being. Kopaka and Pohatu had quickly departed after the Skakdi upon learning of their possession of the Toa Marhi, leaving Lesovikk here, with the Mask of his mortal enemy. Days had passed since his acquittal, and still he held the Olisi with him unable to think of the next move. He had tailed Karzahni for so long. After the madman’s first defeat Lesovikk was able to channel his energies into capturing pit prisoners with Sarda and Hydraxon. Now on this strange knew world he was at a loss as to where he fit in.The Toa of air stirred from his thoughts. He heard Sarda shiver against the cold of the deepening evening. Lesovikk’s fears eased. He knew that whatever he faced on this strange new world, his friend would be there at his side. Together to began the walk back to Atero.“It will be OK,” Sarda reassured him as they walked. “Things change, we grow and we evolve.”The Toa and Matoran passed over the ground as the night fell on Spherus Magna.
  9. My last topic was a huge failure, receiving a grand total of one reply in a week before falling off the first page, but that's not gonna stop me from posting my MoCs yet. PoseFrontBack (which weapon can attach to)Upper LegsLower LegsTorso ConstructionFoot ConstructionSuper-Cool Weapon ThingThe main reason I made this was because I wanted to make a Toa with a strange color scheme that it wouldn't usually have. I chose the combination of orange and Metru green because green is the normal color for Air, and I wanted to use my orange Pakari for something. Overall I think this turned out to be a pretty decent MoC. I really like how the torso and upper legs turned out. The feet were probably my best attempt at building good custom feet. But, I think the lower legs are somewhat lacking and I know I'll get complaints about those non-custom lower arms.Comments are greatly appreciated!

  11. Hello guys! I can't believe its finally finished, but here it is: THE TA-KORO SCHOOL.Heck, everybody's got the right to be educated, so why not matoran? Link As always, I shall include a brief explanation of how i got to work on this project. 1. First i drew the basic skeleton of each character. 2. Then i drew the matoran. 3. Tahu was the hard part. first i drew him in full detail, but my style requires simplicity. I went through a lot of different Tahu's, but i think he came out rather well in the end. 4. then i drew the blackboard; it was rather fun thinking up what would go on there. 5. SHADING! shading is what makes a drawing. Without it, the drawing just seems like a dull, flat piece of work, but once shaded, it's like it becomes real. Hope you enjoy it -Dwanny
  12. Hey there everyone, I wrote this series a long ways back, and it looks like with the new BZP it was taken down  but I decided to post it again since I have all the comics saved in a document on my computer, enjoy!Shadows of Miserix Review Topic: http://www.bzpower.c...?showtopic=4841 Shadows of Miserix: Season 1 Q & A Q: Eleven: Why did Toa Joev, Toa Strelk, and Toa Sprin kill Malox? Isn’t the rule of the Toa, "No killing" with the only exceptions being Lessovihk and Helryx?A: Joev: In this alternate universe, Toa are allowed to kill. (Yes, I know that's not the best answer, but that's just about as clear and simple as I can make it)Q: Cholie: Who is Malox and why is he wearing the Kraahkan?A: Joev: Makuta Malox is the Makuta of Mata Nui (the island), since Makuta Miserix was captured, Malox handled the guarding of his island until the Makuta could rescue Miserix, the reason he was wearing the Kraahkan, is currently...UNKOWN! (But it will be explained at some point, I promise).Q: Myself: I realized after I wrote the comics, I was a Toa of Lightning (which are only female *Facepaaaalm*) so I decided to explain why I'm not female.A: Joev: I was originally a Toa of Air, but when I caused a thunderstorm along with a Toa of Water (likely Toa Yhano), somehow it caused lightning to hit me, since I was the largest source of electrical current in the area, and it caused my Air power to be channeled out of me and into the ground, and my powers were replaced by the element of Lightning. (Yes it sounds crazy, but that's the best explanation i could come up with xP).If there are any more questions, please post them in the review topic, and I will answer them either personally, or have them answered through a comic. Thanks for all your questions, most of them had me stumped for awhile. xD Comic 1 Toa Joev (pronounced Jove), Toa Sprin, and Toa Strelk stared up at a tall platform, where another figure stood. The figure’s name was Makuta Malox. He had attacked the three Toa and had been their enemy for several weeks, but now the Toa had him cornered. Malox stared coldly at the Toa. he wore the Kanohi Kraahkan, the great mask of shadows, thought to have been lost after Makuta Miserix’s reign, but apparently wasn’t. Malox sneered and activated his mask power, shrouding the Toa in mist and darkness. Toa Sprin activated his Kanohi Akaku, the great mask of X-Ray vision, allowing him to see through the darkness. He jumped high into the air, following Malox as he tried to escape. Sprin blasted bolts of Ice interlaced with light at his enemy, pinning him to the wall. Toa Joev and Toa Strelk, now free from the bonds of the shadow and mist, dove at the ceiling, toppling down two piles of large crates filled with Levitation Discs on top of the Makuta. The three Toa flew out of the building and blasted the supports holding the building, causing it to topple down. They continued to fly until they reached a small structure, with an emblem with the seal of Protodermis etched on it. The three Toa soon landed and walked into the building. Eight other Toa were also in front of the building, speaking to each other. When they noticed they stopped and turned to face the Joev. “Where is Vakira?” said Joev. “He went to Ga-Wahi on a mission to attain a mask of Levitation, after the blast that hit Ga-Koro, we need everything related to Levitation we can to hold it up from falling down and smashing Metru-Nui.” Said a green armored Toa known as Toa Indraklon. Suddenly, a Red armored figure came hurtling out of the sky and managed to land, he had a terror-struck look in his eyes and he panted “It- It was a- a trap,” he fainted and a Toa of Iron called Cryptid rushed forward to catch the worn out Toa of Fire. Joev stepped forward and stared at the Toa of Fire, his mask was cracked with a long gash down the upper right corner, running down to the central-bottom part of the mask, there were more larger gashes on the Toa of Fire’s arms and legs, and one particularly long one down his left side, there was also one spot in particular that interested him, towards the bottom of Vakira’s left leg, were seven very small letters that had been crudely scratched into the Toa of Fire’s ankle, the letters spelled the word, Teridax. Comic 2 “Teridax.” Joev said, “I always knew he’d try to take control after Miserix was imprisoned, but I didn’t know he’d do it like this…” A tall Toa clad in Oak red armor steped forward. “I’ll take it from here.” Says the Toa of Plasma, whose name is Natroz. Natroz and another Toa named Werko carry Vakira over to a river nearby, and Natroz begins removing the Toa of Fire’s armor, then he begins fusing the damaged tissue together with his mask of Fusion. Joev walks over and picks up Vakira’s mask. It is cracked beyond repair, and as Joev turns it over, it cracks and splits into several pieces in his hands. Joev turns to a Toa of Water named Yhano and the Toa of Stone named Werko and says, “Go search around where Vakira was supposed to get that Levitation mask, you might find something.” The Toa nod and head north. Joev walks over to the Toa of Iron known as Cryptid, and says, “Do you think you can carve Vakira a new mask?” Cryptid rubs his chin for a minute, then says, “I can, but it will take a while, it’s hard to find good discs for carving masks, and it all depends on what mask he wants, his old mask was a mask of Levitation, I’ll never get my hands on a levitation disc to carve it, with the whole problem in Ga-Koro and the accident going on there.” Joev stares at the ground, then replies, “Lets wait until he can tell us what mask he wants.” Joev replies. Joev begins walking away, shouting for two other Toa to follow him, a Toa of Gravity, named Dokerio, and a Toa of Sonics, named Kriah. Together, Joev, Kriah, and Dokerio fly in the direction of an island hundreds of thousands of miles south, far down on an island very unexplored, few even knew it’s name, an island known as Tritle, way far down below the island of Artidax… Comic 3 Makuta Teridax stared coldly through a window overlooking the city of Maruta, a large civilization on the island of Tritle. Teridax smelled the air, it had the stench of war in it, and he loved it. As he watched, three figures, obviously Toa, landed on the shore of the island, they wore masks carved with intricate slits in them, and the one at the head of them was a Toa that Teridax knew well, it was Toa Joev. Teridax watched as the Toa continued to walk past the building, he knew soon the Toa would find out from someone where he was, so he had to find another spot to stay while the Toa were on the island, then he could return to his business, rescuing Miserix from his prison, and then, he and Miserix would rule side-by-side, conquering cities, islands, and eventually, the entire known universe! Teridax smiled an evil smile, and disappeared among the shadows.Toa Joev, Toa Dokerio, and Toa Kriah walked along the streets of the city of Maruta, it was a large city with many inhabitants, traders, and other species of all sorts came to the island for many reasons. Some came to buy transport to even lower islands, some came to hear news of danger and help, some came to sell goods, and unfortunately, even though it was against the law here, some came to find illegal smuggling jobs, theft, and even assassination. The three Toa walked over to a small building, one of the homes of the few Toa brave enough to guard and keep the peace on the island. The Toa was a friend of Joev, a Toa of Water named Toa Yelra, she and one other Toa, a Toa of Earth named Toa Kax, were in charge of the islands peace-keeping. As Joev walked closer, he noticed something very strange, the door appeared to have been fiddled with, and as the three Toa got closer, they saw a figure blast his way through the back wall and fly away, Toa Joev only sees a glimpse, but to his astonished surprise, the figure a Makuta, “Chirox!” Joev said in a low whisper…
  13. Toa Yonex was a moc I made a while ago, designed toa look like a cross between kopaka nuva and phantoka: Here is the gallery. Comments?
  14. ".. than just wearing an Avohkii" [ small version 130 kB]:..:[Huge version; 1317 x 1462 px, 534 kB] Not a thumbnail this time, because I could not decide on which version to link. I prefer the bigger one, but since I don't like being bomarded with huge, screen-eating files, I thought I'd leave the choice to you. ^_^Anyways, what do we have here? It's a speed-paint from April. I just haven't gotten around uploading until now.Firstly, no, this is not me, my Bionicle alter-ego or OC, however you want to call it. Just another being that happens to be wearing an Avohkii. ;3Other than usual, there's actually a story behind the image; I wondered what would happen if evil would be expected from someone wearing a mask of light. And thus, a story of a Makuta swapping bodies with a Toa emerged in my head, and eventually led to the creation of this pic. (Yep, the epic showdown xD)Simple, huh?I originally played with the thought of submitting this to the AC, but somehow I wasn't sure whether it would be fitting, partly because it's, as said, a speed-paint, and partly because it doesn't really resemble a battlescape, IMO. :whatsthat:Any form of comments or criticism would be greatly, greatly appreciated.
  15. Well, its been a while since i drew a Bionicle, so i decided to finall draw Kopaka(click on it to see).I gotta say, i probably should've done better in the hatchet shading, i think it did that too quickly...but anyways, i think Kopaka turned out pretty fine! But gee, i actually used a load of stuff, marker, pencil, ballpoint pen for inking, and eraser. I also had so much trouble sketching him....gosh that was such a pain..>.<So...tell me what you think tho, im still kinda expirmenting with trying to draw them my own style, but still trying to make it set-like, since I'm not really that into humanoid bionicle drawings(but people still make incredible art with humanoid bionicles!). So yeah, here it is, and this was kinda an expirmental drawing, with me using marker for the first time, and i finished this one drawing in just one day, unlike others where it took more time to finish.
  16. Here is the second part of my project, featuring Takanuva, Toa of Light! The first half can be found here.As I've mentioned before, these will be printed and brought to some of the lego conventions this year!oh, and this mask came out so much better than Makuta's! but I have to say, it was my first time drawing a Bionicle villain, and years ago I did an analytic drawing of Takanuva's mask, including all these color coded guidelines. The masterpiece! As a bonus here's some lineart of the piece pre-coloring.I hope you enjoy it!Part 1Both parts togetherA neat image for your Time Line!and a neat one for your Signature! [url][img=http://www.majhost.com/gallery/the-girl-next-door/Widgets/versus_timeline_banner_small.png]Umm... I haven't figured out the coding to link an image yet with code, at least here. So for now, just give credit if you use it!
  17. This is my first Toa MOC, and it took me at least 3 weeks to get it to look right. I hope you like, 'cuz it took me FOREVER. http://upload.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?i=5445944This is basically an action pose. I didn't take any pictures of the back.
  18. FireEmblem

    Tahu.

let's establish that i'm used to drawing humans and that i have had no practice with robots. i also can't draw hands.[WARNING! Full size: 1536x2048!]there is a lot i wanted to incorporate, but also a lot i didn't feel like i did right.1. i wanted to incorporate a slight "human" feel. after all, tahu is emotional, which would make him kind of human in a way. after all, feelings is what makes us.2. i also wanted a constructed feel even though i was aiming for a bit human, he was still built in a foreign land and therefore he wouldn't be natural or a little more organic, like i picture the inhabitants of the matoran universe. he is still a robot of sorts. hence some pistons in some places and the random matoran lettering around him. (model numbers, in a sense.)3. a little more armor. i know that he gets armored later when he becomes a toa nuva, but i still felt the original kind of tahu was weak and flimsy. i slapped some torso armor (that kind of looks like a six pack, nudge to the human) and some overly-exaggerated chest armor. also, instead of having the black joints as his shoulders, i turned them into armor because i can.4. the heartlight. i didn't initially want to put it in, but i did anyway. instead of the black sphere on his chest, i turned it into just a black circle surrounding his heartlight. i'm a little weary on it, though.5. the sword. i originally made it just a blade, but after a bit i just decided to put some flames on it.6. his plug-hand-thing. i made it a claw. a claw that attaches to his forearm and hand, like a shield. because i can.what i don't like:1. the overdone lines on his chest. it looks more like someone took a sledgehammer to his chest instead of the streamline feel i was aiming for. what was i thinking?2. his narrowed torso. i never narrow torsos. why did i narrow his torso?3. proportions. again, i never mess up proportions, so why did i now?4. his hands. they're in a grid pattern. i guess i've been drawing spider-man too much.5. his mask. it has lumps where there shouldn't be lumps and impressions where there shouldn't be.6. the fact i don't have a scanner or a tablet. this drawing would've looked so much better if i did.7. symmetry. some lines that are supposed to be the same size are different, and it makes him non-symmetrical. then again, i guess the "04" already did that.it's granted that the artist will see more flaws than the audience, but these mistakes are obvious.anyways, tl;dr: i drew tahu and it didn't come out the way i liked it to.that's it for now. questions and comments are okay, criticism is okay too.
  19. Step right up, step right up! It's toa Audio's amazing horn organ!Believe it or not, but this took me six days to make. "The kanohi maestro was first worn by Toa Audio, who is credited with making the first horn organ, predecessor of the more popular shell organ."He made a large bellow, but it was rather high and found no toa that were up for the job.He hired a po-matoran instead. And the hammer can be explained: no, he isn't trying to break it, its just the only way for him to reach it.(geez, i've thought this through, havent I?)The first row is made up of hollowed out muaka claws;the second of mountain rahi horns;the third is made of some sort of coral. He couldn't find anything big enough for the lowest register, so he just had them made out of protodermis. :sigh:This was more of a funny idea than anything else.I got my inspiration when i was sitting in a church, listening to my dad rehearsing on his harpsichord. Then he told me "why dont you go check out the organ?" I guess he noticed i was bored. :PSo there i was, staring at this old, broken down organ, when i looked down and saw my dad doing his weird faces/ positions thing. He calls it "being in to the music", but i dunno. And that was my tale of how i got inspired to make some weirdo playing an old, broken down organ. So, yeah. This actually took me three days to make, but i was experimenting with the backgrounds a lot, so that took up the other three days.In the end, i realised it didn't require a backround- in contrast to my earlier "ta-koro school" drawing, the quetion is what, not where.Anyway, i hope you like it! (and i hope i didn't talk too much. I have the tendency to do that. ) Constructive criticism appreciated!-NOTE-Extra challenge:Try to come up with what Audio's powers could have been, what his mask does, ETC.Have fun!-Dwanny
  20. Here's another MOC from within the Twilight Zone known as the downtime. 'Tis a three-Toa team. They are among my favorite MOCs that I've ever done. Ever. I didn't initially plan on doing a Toa Kaita, but I was like, "There are three Toa staring me in the face. It takes three Toa to make a Toa Kaita. 2 + 2 = fish." 22. Hey guys, so...i finally finished this Pohatu drawing i've been working on in the week. Anyways, i took all of your advices and I INKED IT! And i gotta say, i really thank you for the advice of inking it with black pen, it was REALLY fun to ink the drawing, like i mean it really was fun, plus it turns out much much neater than others. I started to change the parts a little, not really making my own style of drawing it yet, but starting to form ideas of drawing bionicles my own style, so i kinda got rid of the holes in their legs and stuff and made them just solid really. I also used gimp to make the lines and overall image darker, since the scanner turned it out a bit bright, but still it showed up much better in the scanner than it does with pencil drawings, i think im gonna ink all of my drawing now. :)Anyways, here it is, much neater than my previous two.I'm also thinking of using GIMP to color the picture later on, when i get in the mood to do it, i'll post that here whenever i get to it.So, i hope you like it, still i think im having trouble with perspective and shading, those are like my two main weak points in art. But i'll soon hopefully master those. So leave your comments below, and tell me what you like and what you think i need to improve on.Edit:Thanks, the arms are a bit too small if i look at it now. :/ But yeah, i think i should've done better on the terrain a bit, like the sand texture doesn't seem very detailic compated to the road, and I don't really know how to draw detailic clouds either, but still, I impressed myself with how clean this came up because i inked it. @Akuna of Stones, yes, the Rocky name "Pohatu" was intentional.
  23. Would it have been possible for a Toa of Shadow to make a Toa Seal with other Toa? If so, would it be deformed?
  24. I was gonna make a Toa/Rahkshi hybrid character of sorts for the BZPRPG; basically just a Toa with some spines on its back. Then I realized I basically have too much to do in that RPG already, so I dropped it. Still, I drew picture of the character, just because.Take one part Toa of Plant Life, one part Lehrak and mix it all together... and I present to you: Leah.I got the pose right, I think (often have trouble with limbs...), but I'm not all that happy with the torso armor. That's why this pic is not entirely finished: I just felt like moving on to a new sketch.Comments and critique are of course appreciated.
  25. Hi guys,I thought i might try a different style for a change, so here goes:Dwanny Nuva: Wears the kanohi Arte (pronounced Art - Ay), the mask of dream realisation. He also wields a Pensul, a mighty weapon used for concentrating his power.First i thought i might do a toa drawing test, then it turned into a coloring test, and then it (d)evolved into this. :PThe main reason i inked it is because of the irony of a toa wielding a pencil, and so i decided to give it a rather cartoony look.Dwanny's Tips:To give something a cartoony look, try using smooth, curvy lines. Inking them also helps the "cartoon effect" along. Also, try using bright, bold colours.P.S. the colours didnt come out very well, i know. I think my scanner hates me.Criticism appreciated,-Dwanny
