  1. So I'm really going ham on Stud.io lately. The ability to put any piece in any colour, which I think LDD had heavy restrictions on back when I tried it a few years ago. The ability to model and insert your own custom parts, or canon parts missing from the library is also something LDD couldn't do. One such use for this is Lariska, whose "Blue Green" colouration meant you had to either go back to old technic to find teal pieces, or build something blue and green, (which is not the same thing). But now, You can build with the full range of Bionicle parts, and make any of them teal any time you want, which means the Lariska in my head can finally exist. Lariska's first appearance was in 2006, so I only used parts which existed in 2006. In fact, the only 2006 part is the open ball joint from the Toa Inika. Otherwise, she's styled to look like something which could exist in 2005, like most of the Dark Hunters are. This is based on a real MOC i built back then, but I always knew I'd have to just imagine the teal. I also prefer Panrahk staffs for the daggers, instead of Guurahk, but I couldn't find a 3D model of them to import. She's got hordika parts, and toa metru stuff, very 2004/2005. If she resembles Roodaka, That's not entirely a coincidence. That's the other murder lady from 2005 who was around to stick in your head when Lariska had no image. Nidhiki, Krekka, the Shadowed One, Charger, Conjurer, Spinner, Tracker, Vengeance, and Voporak also use the vahki head. It's kind of a Dark Hunter signature. There are a bunch of pieces here that don't appear in Stud.io's library. The hordika legs, the vakhi head, and the nuva shoulder. They're from a package posted to reddit by u/SwampKryakwa. I don't think I'm allowed to link to it here, but it's easy to find. Brickshelf Gallery containing some older drafts, and more pictures inside a spoiler tag, so the post isn't giant:
  2. Back in 2006, I caught a Bulgarian commercial of the Piraka/Inika Nestle toys on the air. I recorded it, had another member put some English subtitles on it and it made the BZP news. Just today, I stumbled upon a very similar video (in English) that appears to have been produced by the exact same studio, albeit for some slightly different Piraka/Inika Nestle toys. Perhaps someone from BMP may be interested in contacting them to see if they have a better quality version of the first video still saved somewhere? @JrMasterModelBuilder?
  3. After my last post, I decided to challenge myself a little bit more. Here are some of my latest pictures. Note that they have had some minor adjustments. Check out my latest 2006 Scenery Images here: http://www.bzpower.com/board/topic/25173-2006-scenery-images-2/ Dalu, Kazi and Piruk struggle to make their way across the large cliff overlooking Voya Nui Bay. Piruk looks for a way up the cliff but comes across the ruthless Avak. Piruk enjoying some time alone, looking out across the desolate sea. Toa Matoro battles Vezok on the harsh coast of Voya Nui.
  4. It has been a very long time since my last post. I took a long break from bionicle but I watched the Piraka Animations and I'm back into it. So I took a few pictures. Toa Nuparu visiting an isolated lake in Voya Nui. Toa Nuparu flying above the Desert of Sorrows. Reidak the beastly Piraka in pursuit of Dalu.
  5. Hi, guys! We probably know that Bionicle is 15 years old, and I have been seeing many other franchises celebrating their anniversaries this year lately, like Ninjago with its 5th anniversary, Sonic the Hedgehog with its 25th, Captain America 75th and Wonder Woman 75th. Each of these anniversaries are also treated with cool stuff this year, like Ninjago showing a script to its very first episode in 2011 (perhaps that Day of the Departed wave is an anniversary present, too, because villains from the past come back?), Sonic the Hedgehog appearing in Lego Dimensions and trailers for new and announced games in 2017, Captain America having a Lego statue and monument (perhaps Captain America: Civil War is an anniversary present, too?), and Woman Woman with Lego pictures and statue (perhaps Wonder Woman's appearance in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice is an anniversary present, too?). Plus, they also say "Happy some-number-th anniversary!" or something similar. So, my question is why Bionicle did not have any of these in its 5th, 10th, and 15th anniversaries? You ever thought of that? It's weird that Bionicle never gets a treatment of any kind or there isn't a sign that says something like "Happy some-number-th anniversary!" It makes me feel bad that Bionicle didn't have these things to celebrate its anniversaries. I mean, Bionicle is pretty popular, was successful in some of its years, and is loved by many fans, including us, so it should get something on its anniversaries in my opinion. I have been remembering about certain things that could have been signs of celebrating Bionicle's anniversaries, and here's what I got: 1. 2006 - 5th anniversary - The Piraka used the Toa Mata's canisters to arrive in Voya Nui. This reminds me of 2001 when the Toa Mata used their canisters to arrive in the island of Mata Nui. Plus, the video game, Bionicle Heroes, includes characters from 2001-2006. 2. 2011 - 10th anniversary - The Bionicle toy line wasn't there because of Hero Factory, but there is the ending of one of the Bionicle serials, Sahmad's Tale. Plus, Hero Factory's Savage Planet wave in that year has a lot of similarities to Bionicle's first storyline in 2001: a big villain mind-controlling animals, a team of six heroes arriving from the sky to stop him, and they fight against the possessed animals in a jungle. 3. 2016 - 15th anniversary, this year - The Netflix show, Bionicle: The Journey to One, shows the text "2001-2016", which is Bionicle's age, in the end credits and a final battle between the Toa team and Makuta, which reminds me of their battle back in the 2001 storyline. Sadly, G2 died this year as well. This is very disappointing and heinous when cancelling a franchise on its anniversary. (crying in tears of sadness ) Lego never celebrated Bionicle's anniversaries. Lego even never calls what I have on the list above anniversary presents, either. Lego also didn't say "Happy 5th anniversary!" or "Happy 15th anniversary!" to Bionicle. Man, that's heartless, harsh, and unfair in my opinion, as it is like a kid doesn't get his birthday celebrated by people that he likes and loves or presents. Plus, Lego celebrated Ninjago's 5th anniversary, so why not Bionicle's anniversaries? If Lego really celebrated, that would be awesome. Now I would also like to ask you guys another question: How do you thing Lego would have celebrate Bionicle's anniversaries and how would you like Lego to celebrate Bionicle's future anniversaries, like its 20th and 25th anniversaries? For me, I would go with these ideas: 1. Say "Happy 5th anniversary" or "2001-2006" in 2006 and call the Bionicle things in the year that I mentioned above presents. 2. Say "Happy 15th anniversary" or "2001-2016" (on the sets) in 2016 can call the good Bionicle things in the year that I mentioned above presents. 3. Re-release the old sets in the past, or at least the Toa Mata sets. 4. Release golden versions of the Toa Mata sets. 5. Make a video game. 6. Have Bionicle's Facebook a page make a post to celebrate Bionicle's 15th anniversary. 7. Put Bionicle in Lego Dimensions, like Sonic the Hedgehog. 8. Make a storyline that takes place after both the 2011 serials the 2016 storyline where Velika from G1 and Makuta from G2 work together to ruin the events of Bionicle's main storylines defeat the heroes in there and have the bad guys win, so Velika and Makuta would take over both the G1 and G2 universe. They would use some kind of a inter-dimensional device (perhaps use Vezon or make a new Olmak?) and the G1 and G2 Vahi's or a time-traveling device to do this. They would also revive dead villains in the past storylines (perhaps except Makuta Teridax because he would be too un-cooperative because he was obsessed with power?), recruit the still-living ones, and mind-control the reformed ones to assist them somehow. The heroes from the storylines would have to work together to re-live the storylines and fight the villains in there, who are improved, and defeat Velika and Makuta to save their dimensions. A video game would be great to tell the story. Also, perhaps have the Toa Nuva celebrate their anniversary of their first adventure to cherish themselves as heroes and a team. 9. A theatrical Bionicle movie. 10. An announcement to something exciting in Bionicle's future. 11. The return of Bionicle. 12. Unresolved things in G1 and G2 resolved. 13. A TV show that is not exclusive in Netflix. I am not going to send more money to pay for it, and I prefer the show to be in a TV channel that we can watch for free, like Nickelodeon or Cartoon Network. 14. Say something like "Happy 20th anniversary" and "Happy 25th anniversary" in Bionicle's future years if it is still running in them and give it presents, like something similar to the things above. So, there. I know it's a lot, but these are something that Bionicle could have celebrated its anniversaries and would celebrate its future anniversaries. What do you guys think?
  6. This has been bother me for a while. Toa teams are usually named after their island, right? There are some exceptions (Toa Nuva and Toa Hordika) but those names pertain to their upgrades, and otherwise they would have the same name because they were still on the same island. So why weren't the Inika the Toa Voya?
  7. Hey! Has anyone ever wondered why the Inika had "organic" Kanohi? When I first found out they did, I was hoping there was some connection to the Krana, and we would find out the "big secret" about the bohrok through the Inika's masks. I can't say there is no connection, but it was never really answered why their Kanohi were organic. Are Iden, Suletu, and Calix Kanohi just organic by nature? I don't think so - Krakua had a Suletu, and his was just normal. Are there any other characters who have organic kanohi? Does the Red Star have some connection to the Bahrag and the Krana, or perhaps the Bohrok or Bohrok-Kal? I think there might be- see, the Bohrok are "undead"(?) matron, and the Red Star deals with the death/rebirth of Bionicle characters- maybe there is some connection- Did the lightning contain protodermic energies, or perhaps the same energies that turned Bohrok into Bohrok Kal? What else do you guys know about Organic masks, Inika, and the Red Star?

So, this is a fanfic based on a (rather flawed) theory I made a couple weeks ago, about the Toa Inika being dead and "revived" using the souls of other dead beings from the Red Star. Soon after posting the theory, a fellow BZP member, Ghidora131, said that it would make a good fanfic. So, I PMed him and we started planning. What we came up with makes one of the darkest years of Bionicle even darker, and the ending will leave you questioning your very existence. We've changed events prior to 2006 as well, such as the deaths of characters that did not die in canon. So, without further rambling, here's what you came for. Discussion Topic Deignition A fan-made story written by BZP members Arzaki and Ghidora131. Okay yeah, so this chapter was absolutely god-awful and I hate myself for writing. I know that literally no one is ever going to see this, but just in case someone ever does, they'll know just how absolutely terrible this is and they don't have to waste their time reading it. Trust me, it's terrible. Ghidora and I might continue back on this soon. Maybe. Hopefully I put more effort into the chapters that I write, because wow, this one was so terrible. I really should just nuke this epic. Just clean it off the face of the earth. Chapter 1 A Bit of Exposition Takanuva was lost in thought as he led the Matoran to their destination. Of course, not much thought really remained in his mind. He had lost some of his sanity during his adventures around Mata Nui. He had seen almost half of Po-Koro wiped out by the plague, and witnessed the destruction of Ga-Koro firsthand. The main causes of his slight insanity were watching Jaller die and himself going through the experience of being fused with another being. Despite being a bit off his rocker, Takanuva was still relatively competent, and knew that he needed to the protect the six Matoran he was escorting. Jaller, the leader of this group, picked the bravest Matoran he knew for this mission. These five brave Matoran were Kongu, Hahli, Nuparu, Hewkii, and Matoro. Hewkii and Hahli weren’t at the peak of their strength, but they were still bold. Hewkii was severely weakened and slightly senile due to contracting the plague of Po-Koro and witnessing most of this closest and life-long friends drop dead in front of him. Despite overcoming the sickness, his body never really got over its effects, and he still feels terrible for being too weak to help Ga-Koro during the Bohrok invasion. He blames himself for the destruction of the village and for the extreme injuries Maku took during it. Hahli, too, was scarred by the destruction of Ga-Koro. Other than being injured herself, she saw Maku get nearly killed by debris. Due to the terrible things that happened in her life, she lost faith in Mata Nui, and blames him for all that has happened. When she heard that he was dying, she was almost glad. However, she could not refuse Jaller’s invitation to this mission. He was one of the few friends she had left. After a while of walking, the group of seven came across a tunnel, which absorbed all waves of light and sound. The group tied their hands to each other to prevent getting lost, and made their way through the tunnel with little commotion. Matoro, however, thought he felt another being with him, and helped this being escape the tunnel with him. He exited last, and when he looked back into the tunnel after making sure everyone else was there, he saw no one. It was at this point that Matoro started to that he might have been going insane, or maybe he was hallucinating due to the lack of senses. After a few more minutes of travelling, the group came across an old gateway, made of some sort of gray stone. On the other side was a lonely looking Matoran, who ran away upon seeing the group. Everyone chased after him, but a barrier of some strange substance materialized in front of Takanuva just as he was about to go through the gate. He and the Matoran were separated, and it didn’t take rocket science to figure that one out. After attempting to bid farewell through some sort of wall, Takanuva reluctantly headed back through the tunnel to his home of Metru Nui. The rest of the group resumed their chase. The startled Matoran led them to a land known as Karzahni. The land where dust rises, fire is cold, and ice burns. Dangerous Rahi ran rampant, and all around were strange looking Matoran who appeared absolutely miserable and lonely. Soon after they entered, they were approaching by the ruler of this land, also named Karzahni, who captured them and took their masks, replacing them with strange new ones. He forced them to work in the furnaces and forges of the land, but kept Hahli so that she could tell him of the outside world. Hours of work and hard labor led to exhaustion for the other five Matoran, and it was a relief when an obviously senile Matoran approached them. He told them to follow him and gather any friends they had. While Kongu went looking for Hahli, the other four followed the clearly insane Matoran to a room that had sort of strange cannon-esque devices overlooking an ocean. The odd Matoran told the other four to enter the canisters mounted on the walls, so that he could bust them out of there. Before they could manage to enter the canisters, Kongu and Hahli sprinted into the room, very out of breath. Seconds later, the thundering footsteps of Karzahni could be heard before the entire wall came down in an explosion of flame and stone. One stone hit Hewkii directly in the head, knocking him out cold. Oh, the irony. As Karzahni stepped over the small remaining part of the wall, his foot landed directly on Kongu, crushing and killing him. He switched his attention to Hahli, the closest living Matoran, and struck her with his flaming chains. She died soon after due to impact. Laughing maniacally, Karzahni continued to whip his chains throughout the room, eventually killing every Matoran in there. He stuffed the dead bodies in the canisters to dispose of them, and launched them using the cannons in the room. He watched as they flew through the air, toward the area known as Voya Nui. He used his Kanohi Olisi, the Great Mask of Alternate Futures, to see what might happen to the canisters. What he saw surprised him greatly. He saw the canisters washing ashore Voya Nui, with bodies larger than those he placed in them emerging from the cylindrical vehicles. They were cackling with crimson colored electricity, the likes he had never seen before. Weapons had somehow materialized with them, and the six beings crossed said weapons above them. A magnificent beam of light shot forth from the point where the tools crossed, straight into the air, parting the clouds as it pierced them. The storm was coming, and it wouldn't stop for anything.
  9. I'm trying to find a Bionicle music video with the song move along. However its a very specific version that at 2;38 the official Inika commercial plays along with the commercials audio. It was spliced perfectly into the song. But for one reason or another I can't find it on Youtube looking through the multiple Bionicle move along videos. Anyone know where I could find the video again? Please move if in wrong spot.
  10. Through Bionicle's decade-long run, we received four movies, each covering most of their respective years. But there were some years with such great potential that should have gotten a movie adaptation. Now, which year would be the most worthy for a film?
  11. MAIN STORY TOPIC: http://www.bzpower.com/board/topic/16205-bionicle-rise-of-the-antagona/ Voya Nui thought it had seen it's last days when the Piraka arrived. Now, they come to face with something equally worse. In the main timeline, these beings are known as the Toa Inika, but here, they are the Antagona, Sevants of Karzhani, and bringers of darkness. Will the Matoran of Voya Nui survive against their onslaught? or will the entire island fall to their shadowy forces? If you have Comments or Criticism about this story, feel free to post away! I'll update the story whenever I can.
  12. Some Legends aren’t what they should’ve been. You know the drill, you have your dashing heroes who gain mysterious powers, use it to combat evil, restore hope, and strive to save the land from peril. Things that have been apparent ever since the Toa first arrived on Mata Nui. But what if things didn’t go the way they were supposed to? What if the dashing heroes used their newfound powers for evil? What if they used them to side with evil and crush hope? What if they were determined to drive the land into even more peril? This is what would happen if fate didn’t take the path it intended to… prepare to take a look into an alternate world, where heroes are not always destined to be heroes… Gathered friends, listen again to the legend of the Bionicle… But not like you’ve ever heard it before. BIONICLE: RISE OF THE ANTAGONA PROLOGUE In a distant silver sea, a barren realm lay. This realm was home to the maddest of rulers, the great Karzahni. In turn, the realm was as mad as he was, with burning ice, cold fire, and vicious creatures. It would be suicide for anyone to purposely go into such a place. But someone did. In fact, six fearless Matoran ventured into the chaotic realm. They might’ve just never come there in the first place if they knew what would happen to them… They were soon captured by Karzhani’s elite guards, and set to work. If any of them stopped working and lay down to rest, they would instantly freeze into rock. The fact that their new master was a remorseless slave driver didn’t help. However, Karzahni had a soft spot for one of his workers, a Ga-Matoran named Hahli. She told him all about the outside world he knew nothing about, of the great metropolis that was Metru Nui, and the fabled oceans surrounding Mata Nui. After a full day of work, a brave Ko-Matoran tried to taunt him, but the overlord protested, saying that he wasn’t worth his time. However, the Matoran grew persistent, and eventually pushed Karzahni over the edge, demanding that he show him the worst thing possible. He Did. With his mask of alternate futures, he materialized a vision in each of the opposing Matoran’s minds. Karzahni showed the Matoran what would happen if their fabled leader, the Great Spirit Mata Nui, failed to wake up and was cast into oblivion. Chaos and darkness gripped the land. Shadows reigned unchallenged. The bravest heroes were turned into hopeless wrecks. And above all, the entire universe would fall into eternal madness. All the Matoran broke down in wake of this terrifying vision, yet Karzahni was distracted by the thoughts of this “Mata Nui”, this “Great Spirit”, unwittingly giving time for the Matoran to escape. In another universe, the Matoran would carry on to their destination, Voya Nui, to finish their mission. But this is not that universe. As they made their way to the Toa Canisters, they were stopped by Hahli. She told them that Karzahni had other plans for them, that what they were doing was wrong, and if they carried on, their vision would come true. They hesitated for a second, and that cost them their freedom as Karzahni stopped pondering and started after the Matoran. He heard what Hahli had said, and knew that everything was going to plan. In the conversation that followed, Karzahni told them that what they had been told was all lies, and that they were only on a suicide mission to Voya Nui. Protesting, a brave-sounding Ta-Matoran told him that none of what he said was true, and that they had to escape to save Mata Nui. So Karzahni did one more thing to convince them to stay. His mask glowed once again, and showed all the Matoran what would happen if they carried on to Voya Nui. He showed them vicious monsters, cataclysmic volcanic eruptions, death of their most beloved friends, and above all, the entire island of Mata Nui, which had once been their home, desolate and destroyed before their very eyes. The Matoran despaired upon seeing the vison, and the horrors that they witnessed were enough to drive their minds directly away from ever heading towards VoyaNui. Upon seeing the horrors Karzahni directed at them, they vowed never to let what they saw ever happen. What happened to them next remains a mystery, but despite their vision, they left the realm of Karzahni a few days later, on route to Voya Nui. What fate had in store for them, as well as Karzahni’s full intentions were, still remained a mystery. But they carried on regardless of what they saw, after all, visions were visions, just projected paranoia of a madman. They had already learned what they needed to do when they arrived. Soon they left the silver sea, and into realms unknown. A storm raged around them, pitching and rolling the canisters in all directions, sometimes in the space of a minute. Despite this, the Matoran stuck together, connected by a seemingly invisible rope. Then the lightning struck. Red lightning, beaming down from the heavens, hit all six of the canisters floating on the ocean. At first, nothing apparent happened, but when the canisters reached the shores of Voya Nui and opened, the Matoran inside… were changed. Crawling out from their ocean-battered canisters, the six figures stood up to their full height, much taller than any of them originally were, now bearing weapons glowing with immense power and armour made from precious materials. They had become Toa. But inside, they were anything but. It was at this point they remembered Karzahni’s orders. The six Toa turned towards the jungles, the lakes, even the volcano of the island, with one thing in mind: storm the island, enslave the inhabitants, Find the fabled Mask of Life, and raze the whole place to the ground. They were no longer Toa, as that name was only for stuck-up, righteous heroes. They were the Antagona, Destructive emissaries of Karzahni. Six corrupt monsters, one destiny. This is their story. This story was initially inspired by a Prompt from the alternate universe game by Dr. Johnathan Crane. Thanks, Crane! [post=http://www.bzpower.com/board/topic/13875-the-alternate-universe-game/?p=794399]The Prompt in question.[/post] This is my first attempt at writing a Bionicle-based story. This one focuses around the idea that the Toa Inika became villains instead of heroes. Yes, I'm well aware that "Antagona" Is directly inspired by "Antagonist", but then again, most '06-onwards Bionicle words are sometimes based on english. Comments, Criticism and feedbacks are welcome. I hope you enjoy this tale, and look forward to future chapters!
  13. Hello BZPower! I'm on holiday and bored so I decided to make a poll that I hope will make clear the most popular Bionicle set. How it works: I am going to be going year by year making a poll on which there is an option for every set of that year and when I close them (probably in 1st January 2015) I will make a new poll consisting of the winners of each one which people vote on. PLEASE DO NOT VOTE TWICE ON A SINGLE POLL! Thank you ! I will not be counting: anything that isn't Lego, the Turaga Kabaya, any combiners that were not released by themselves (e.g. I will count Kardas but not the Toa Kaita), super rare things like the Piraka Kaita or Sand Tarakava and things like mask packs or Krana. I will be counting: any standard sets in canisters or boxes, promotional (good/bad guy sets, click, ect), special editions (including combiners like Irnakk) and play-sets. Keep in mind that these sets are in the forms they are in in that year. Bionicle 2015: this will be only Gen 1 unless I decide otherwise. Malachives: Wow that's a lot of sets. Zaktan: And promotionals. Turaga Lhikan: I remember they good old days when I was a toa on Metru Nui Zaktan: You're adopted, Lhikan. Turaga Lhikan: D: Malachives: You could have just told him that there were a lot of people who hate his set and how it was canonised, then how lots of people hate him because of it. Turaga Lhikan: It was enough to get me my own Eljay review, do any of you have your own one of those? Malachives: No Zaktan: Most of the Piraka review was of me. Malachives: True, so Zaktan wins and Turaga Lhikan is the loser! Zaktan: Yay! Turaga Lhikan: Random BZPower member: this stuff still isn't funny but at least it's original this time.....
  14. So, the Toa Inika kanohi are known widely for two things. Not being backwards compatible, and scaring small children. but anyway, to the heart of the matter here, I was bored, and decided to re-draw the six Inika Kanohi as they would be if they weren't freaky and rubbery: Some of them are kinda meh, but it's the kind of meh that can't be fixed! (Kinda like the Water Dragon...) (NOTE: these design changes are a subjective opinion/headcanon and do not reflect, represent, or replace the actual canon appearances of these masks in any past, present, or future bionicle storyline.)
  15. They seem to have Technic pin holes and Kanoka/Rhotuka like pieces. Do they count as actual LEGO/Bionicle pieces?
  16. Welcome back! Today I am here to present rebuilds of some 2006 characters. KONGU Bow pose Zamor Shooter Back REIDAK Back Put Your Hands in the Air! 18. Hi guys! I am back to sell off what remains of my collection. I am in need of only cash. I only accept payment through Paypal and cash in Euros (buyer may send money via post at their own risk). All items are used but are in great condition and come from a smoke free home. I accept Paypal and, of course, buyer pays shipping and optional Paypal fees if you want buyer protection. I will do my best to make the package as compact as possible to ensure you get a fair shipping price. Please note that, for now, I am only selling any canister/small sets in sets of 6, and would prefer to send sets without canisters and instructions even though I have them as this will keep your shipping bill from getting too expensive. I cannot find my instructions so unfortunately I cannot include them on request. Remember, all instructions are online anyways so you would be saving money on shipping! All sets are complete and come with their original pieces (like original Kanoka, Masks, Kraata, etc...). The price I have listed below account are for sets without canisters and instructions were applicable. Thanks.
  19. Am I the only one that thinks it was really weird that the Toa Mahrii had to go underwater? I mean, going underwater wasn't the weird part, but imagine them fighting the Barraki, they would have to be going pretty darn slow. True, the Barraki are probably more built to move around underwater as they are mutated. But the toa would still be moving pretty slow, even though their armor was changed. Or are toa big/strong enough that they can move through water like we move through air? I doubt it, but I'm open to hear what you guys and gals have to say.
  20. Welcome to the sixth installment of my new series of Bionicle flash fics, The Biological Chronicle. If you want to read the other stories in this series, you can find links to them in my signature at the end of this post. If you don't know what this is, allow me to quote from the first fic's introduction: With that out of the way, enjoy: 2006 “T-Toa Zaktan?” Zaktan, standing on a ridge that allowed him to overlook the construction of the Piraka Stronghold, glanced to his left. A Le-Matoran armed with shredder claws was standing there, obviously trembling despite his just as obvious efforts to seem natural. Zaktan vaguely recalled the Matoran as the first villager he had met when he first arrived on Voya Nui. What was his name? Piruk, maybe? “Yes, villager?” said Zaktan, using his friendliest voice (or voices, as the case was). The Le-Matoran seemed to shrink under Zaktan's gaze. Nonetheless, he managed to say, “I just came to, um, to, well, uh—“ “Spit it out,” Zaktan snapped. He caught himself, remembering that Toa were supposed to be kind to Matoran, and then said, again straining to be friendly, “What are you trying to tell me, villager? Has something happened that requires my attention?” The Le-Matoran looked down at his feet, digging his toe into the dirt. “It's just . . . well, one of the workers on Mount Valmai's slopes was . . . well, he was killed in a lava flow just a few hours ago. Balta sent me to tell you that.” The Le-Matoran looked up at Zaktan when he finished, as if expecting the Piraka to say something. It took Zaktan a moment to remember that Matoran dying was supposed to be a bad thing and that therefore he should console the Le-Matoran. The idea sickened him to his core, but the Pirakas' relationship with the Voya Nuians was already getting rocky and he could not afford to make them more suspicious. So Zaktan bent down, putting one hand on the Le-Matoran's shoulder. The villager cringed at the touch, most likely not used to the feel of Zaktan's hand. Still, Zaktan tried to give off an aura of concern, the kind he thought a Toa would show in this situation, and so looked the Le-Matoran in the eyes. “I am very sorry to hear about that,” said Zaktan, forcing every word out of his mouth. “What was his name?” “I . . . I don't know,” said the Le-Matoran, who much to Zaktan's frustration was still trembling. “I didn't know him very well.” Zaktan sighed. “Well, I'm sure his soul will join with the Great Spirit in the next life. He was probably a fine worker and I am sure his friends will remember him always.” “Some of his friends want to hold a funeral for him,” said the Le-Matoran. “Even though his body wasn't—“ “No,” said Zaktan, shaking his head. “What?” Realizing how un-Toa-like that sounded, Zaktan said in a gentler voice, “I mean, I understand what it feels like to lose a friend, but perhaps, instead of a funeral, it would be better for everyone to work a little harder. Surely he would have liked that better than everyone interrupting their normal work schedule just to mourn his death, wouldn't you say?” The Le-Matoran scratched the back of his head. “Uh, I don't know—“ “And without a body, what is there to bury?” said Zaktan as he straightened up. “Work away your sorrows, I say. It is what we Toa do whenever we lose a comrade, after all.” The Le-Matoran nodded, though whether because of fear or because he agreed, Zaktan couldn't tell. “Yes, Toa Zaktan. I'll g-go tell the others to get back to work.” The Le-Matoran scrambled away while Zaktan returned his attention to the builders of the Stronghold. He wasn't sure how much longer he could keep up this charade, though once the villagers finished their work here, he knew it would not be long before he and the other Piraka could show their true colors. - Comments, criticism, questions, etc. are all welcome . -TNTOS-
  21. So, I've been amassing a digital collection of BIONICLE media since BIONICLE ended in 2010. One of the things I've never been able to get are the 2006-2010 comics in PDF file formats. BS01 has all the comics from 2001-2005 for pdf download, but if I remember correctly, 2006-onward leads to them on the BIONICLE website? In short, does anyone have the 2006-2010 comics in PDF format? Or if they know a place, could they direct me to it?
  22. Remember the 2006 Flash Animations that were somwhere between CGI and MNOLG animation? The ones with little games you could play? Well, I took a few screenshots, particularly of the Inika, and made banners out of them.
