  1. "The knight-errant wearily plods on, in search of more desperate souls in need of his aid." Link to Instagram gallery of breakdown shots: https://www.instagram.com/p/CtzuBHnr_Ud/?igshid=MzRlODBiNWFlZA== This MOC was my entry to Round 1 of the BioCup and, while worthy of an honourable mention by the judges, sadly did not progress on to Round 2. Being thematically compatible with the BBC #81 I've decided to enter it here for a chance at redemption perhaps? Let me know what you think!
  2. Been a while since I tried making a Toa. I thought a tropical fish motif would be an interesting direction for a Toa of Water.
  3. Hey yo! Howya doin? I don't think you know who I am, but where I come from I'm kinda a big deal. So my species originally evolved in this huge river, I dunno where cuz it was forever ago but that's not where I'm from. I come from this coastal city with the hippest name ever: Coastal City. Yeah, as you might have expected those early settlers weren't exactly the most creative folk. But me? I'm another story. I'm not gonna lie and say all of the stuff I'm famous for was created by me, but it would be lying if I said I didn't make them the way they are today. Oh yeah, you probably don't even know what I'm famous for! Hah, well you're about to learn. Ever heard of surfing? Course you have. Ya see, I'm basically a surfing deity. I was the one that turned surfing from a dinky ol' human pastime to something more... extreme. We don't have the same kind of insane waves that Earth does over here, so when human surfers brought their sport here, we had to improvise. I'd done study abroad on Earth, and fell in love with surfing instantly. I was like, "Why didn't I think of this?" and they were like "this is thousands of years old" and I was like, "Dude." As it turns out, I was naturally gifted for surfing. So since my species is still amphibious, I'm super well adapted to stuff in the water, and somehow surfing. I became the talk of the town and decided to become the best surfer my planet had ever seen- cuz at the time, there was no way that I was gonna be better than the species that INVENTED the sport. Anyways, when I got back home I realized our waves were pretty trash. So I had an idea- but I ain't gonna tell you. Trade secret. Basically, I found a way to surf on milder waters. I made up my own tricks, drawing from other human sports like skateboarding that I had dabbled in on Earth. Before I knew it, I was the best surfer my world had ever seen. I made the sport big and totally new. And then I had to go off to war. I'm still salty about this, but not as much because I wouldn't be as cool as I am now. Long story short: they told me I was gonna be an underwater spy with my shark-like form, taught me how to fight, and gave me a sicknasty sword and armor. So then I went to fight in the war, kicked some butt, (Don't worry, no one died. The only thing I kill are those waves) and helped our side win. I'm not even exaggerating here, yo- I'm the reason why so few people died. I infiltrated some creepy hideout, slashed up their super-weapons and got out. Then they were like "Aw snap, we've got no chance now. We'll just all die if we keep going, so let's see if they forgive us." And since we were pretty chill, we were like "Yeah but you gotta make amends." So anyways, that's what I am. Godlike surfer and decorated war hero. As I said, kinda a big deal. I'll be seeing you later. I've got some rivals to challenge. (This guy was a fun build, and I'm pretty proud of him. Sadly, I don't have any pictures of him surfing, but I'm OK with that. He's an cool dude for sure. Oh, here's the link to the Brickshelf Gallery for when it goes public.)
  4. Just decided to swing back into the Bionicle fandom again for whatever reason. I was thinking about this. The Kaukau seems to be a very specialized mask. It lets you breathe in water and liquid protodermis, but while it's activated, you can't breathe air. Unless you are actually a Toa of Water, or at least spend most of your life by shores, I don't see any reason to wear one, at least as a primary mask. If neither of those apply to a Toa, why would (s)he wear one as a default mask? I'm asking because I just found out that one of the four Toa Mangai of Ice is said to wear one according to BS01, and I have no idea why he would have it. (Well, ice is water, but would an Ice Toa ever really need it? Especially in an urban setting like Metru-Nui?)
  5. The Water Among Rock "You really did put up a fight back there. I really do hope I can see you again, but I suppose you did it for countless others. You always seemed so special, from what I've heard from this small elder who calls herself Nokama." muttered Kiina. Kiina was in a large, decorated chamber, and it was filled with other Matoran, Toa, Turaga, Glatorian and Agori who came to mourn this one's leave. Most of the people mourning were gazing at the Ignika, and were sad that Mata Nui had left them, whilst some others were reading the tall, vast walls of writing that told Mata Nui's story. "I guess I'll see you soon." said Kiina. This chamber was surrounded by what was known as a Kini-Nui in the Matoran Universe, as many Agori and Matoran had gathered around the circles outside the sacred chamber. The location itself was a vast mix of many elements. Waterfalls and lakes pooled around flourishing jungles, large spikes of protodermis jutted out of mountains, and small hills of stone were scattered around a vast desert. Kiina had taken the path to Tajun, her home village before Mata Nui's life completion, but Tajun was still a functioning village. Only now they had a few more residents. Kiina had parked her Thornatus outside the chamber, and rode off to Tajun to accept any errands the elders might need help with. As she drove to her faraway village, she observed the changes that the planet of Spherus Magna had seen in the past five years. Somewhere in the rocky desert, a massive field of metal was deemed the Rahkshi Field, as hundreds of thousands of empty Rahkshi shells were spread across the dunes from when Tahu made quick work of the Makuta's sons. The Sea of Liquid Sand was no longer liquid, but was rather the main bay to a massive ocean of the planet. The Black Spike Mountains were now teeming with Onu-Matoran and vast mines rather than Skrall, an previously rare jungle was now the residence of Plantlife and Air villages, and many more things were introduced. Kiina had also heard of a gigantic fortress somewhere on the planet. She eventually arrived at Tajun, and went up to the Turaga to accept any jobs. After all, the planet had been quite peaceful after a few squabbles were settled between the worlds after about a year or so. Kiina had walked up to the Turaga's temple, and found that many other Toa of Water were gathered there. The Toa known as Gaaki, Gali and Hahli were gathered here. Even Tarix was there, even though no one had ever called him a Toa. "Wait, what are you all doing here? Unless it's another one of your stories, Nokama, why are we here?" asked Kiina. "We have a crisis in the Black Spike Mountains, apparently. And for some reason, we are called upon. Willing to join us, Kiina?" interrupted Hahli. "Well, yes. Who is causing the problem, though?" said Kiina. "Nokama says there has been an overthrow of the Onu-Matoran in the Black Spike Mountains. She thinks some rogue Dark Hunters are behind this." replied Gaaki. "We don't have to time to jump to assumptions, but we should just go if you ask me." said Hahli. "Let us go to the Black Spike Mountains, noble Toa. Quickly." said Nokama. With the Turaga's word, Kiina and Tarix once again started up their Thornatus vehicles, Gali flew away with her Adaptive Armour, and everyone else hopped on the Glatorian's vehicles. The Black Spike Mountains were quite a way's away, and took a rather long trip. When the sun of Solis Magna started to set, the Toa and Glatorian stopped at the Ice Tribe to rest. The icy mountains and settlement were about the same as they were five years ago, but not in terms of population. Most of the Ice Agori had moved away to the larger mountains and glaciers, where most of the Matoran, Toa and Turaga moved to. This mountain range gradually had it's ice melted, and it gradually became just another mountain in the Black Spike range. The company of heroes had rested in a cave just near the desert sands, but getting light wasn't too easy, as, needless to say, these warriors of water weren't very good with fire. Fortunately, Tarix always carried around a lightstone, which he was given by a Matoran called Taipu. The lightstone had a small radius of illumination, but the company gathered around it anyway. With that, the company had a chat. "Dark Hunters, eh? Wouldn't they just slavishly follow their leader? Or move to a better hiding spot? The Black Spike Mountains are bustling with Matoran and resources! Not a very good hideout." said Hahli. "The Mountains do have many caves and resources, so it could actually be an ideal Dark Hunter spot once they clear out all the Onu-Matoran. They might as well follow in the footsteps of the Skrall. They used to live there, from what I've heard." replied Gali. "You would be right. These Matoran would have added some kinks into the mountains, so that would probably attract these Hunters." said Tarix. "In case you will be wondering where I am, I'm going to scout out the mountain. Don't worry about me." stated Kiina. The mountain that was once the Ice Tribe was quite tall and expansive. But once Kiina had finally reached the summit, she looked over the landscape and saw the location that her company would soon reach - The Black Spike Mountains. The Mountains appeared to be bustling with Matoran, but this was mostly due to the large amount of huts, lights and mines. As she climbed down a little bit from the summit, she squinted her eyes and scanned the area. Then, she saw what seemed to be a hulking brute with four arms, who was walking behind a imposing, armoured figure. She didn't recognise it, so she climbed back down to the camp and notified the company. "Excuse me, but we have some activity in the Black Spikes. There seems to be a big shell with four arms accompanying a rather menacing figure. Have any idea how this might be?" asked Kiina. "Nokama was right. There are Dark Hunters in the Black Spike Mountains. This 'big shell' is The Shadowed One's main bodyguard. But from what I've heard, this brute was sent to Voya Nui to find the Piraka. It's quite unlikely that he has found his way back to his master though." said Hahli. "May be, Hahli. With that, I guess we won't have time for resting. Let's go find these Hunters." replied Gaaki. After Gaaki's word of action, the company were off to the Mountains in a few seconds. Tarix and Kiina started up their Thornatus vehicles, Hahli and Gaaki hopped on, and before Gali soared away, she said: "I'm going to scout out the area. If there's any trouble, you'll hear flash floods." "Ugh. Wish I had jetpack armour..." groaned Kiina. A quick trip to the Black Spike Mountains followed, and Kiina rushed foward in front of Tarix's vehicle, and without a word, smirked at Tarix. Right as she parked her Thornatus, however, a bolt of energy had struck the ground, previously on a course for the vehicle. Kiina had managed to quickly swerve the Thornatus away. Another energy bolt was launched at the Thornatus, which was similarly dodged, until another was on an exact course for the vehicle, and Kiina shouted at her passenger to exit the Thornatus. It turns out exiting the vehicle was a good idea, as once the bolt of energy had struck the Thornatus, it was engulfed in energy, and dematerialised. Gaaki lay in the sand and saw the diminishing Thornatus, and knew exactly what this was. A Dematerialisation Rhotuka. With this realisation, Gaaki shouted: "Tarix! Hahli! Get off your vehicles! Now! Dematerialisation Rhotuka!" Confused, Tarix jumped out of the driver's seat anyway, but Hahli was aware of this threat, and promptly jumped onto the sand. Hahli quickly scanned the rocks above, and saw what Kiina had vaguely described. A big shell with four arms. Except now, she saw it was yellow, had several weapons in it's hands, and stood rather tall. It was Sentrakh. With the Dark Hunter in sight, Gaaki charged up her Tidal Spear, and hit Sentrakh with a powerful torrent of water. Suddenly, Gaaki's Mask of Clairvoyance activated, without any intent from Gaaki. In the resulting vision, she saw herself fighting against strange Dark Hunters, coming in the forms of fusions, mutations, and beast-like beings. Also in the vision, she saw a massive wave flooding the tunnels, destroying all light. Intrigued, Gaaki wanted to know more, but the vision abruptly stopped. She snapped back to her senses, and went into the Black Spike Mountains to catch up with the rest of the company. Meanwhile, Gali had landed on the sharp peak of a nearby spike to make her job of scouting out a bit more secretive. She looked into the Mountains, and saw an odd clawed Dark Hunter pacing around an entrance, guarding it from intruders. "Looks like I'm going to catch a guard off-guard..." whispered Gali. She aimed her Nynrah Ghostblaster at the guard, setting it to the lowest level, and silently fired at the Hunter. The Hunter fell down from the shock, and fell unconscious. With the guard out of the way, she covertly flew into the fortress and looked around. There were very few guards around the other entrances, and actually not very many in the Black Spike Mountains. Gali flew back up to the top of the mountains, and saw a rather large group of Dark Hunters leading a charge against what seemed to be the rest of the Toa. With this sight, she flew in closer and starting creating a flood. Hahli had walked up a dune and saw the charging of Dark Hunters, and prepared to fight. Gaaki charged up her Rhotuka, Kiina powered up her weapon, and Tarix got into a defense position. Once the Dark Hunters had just about reached the Toa, an intense amount of Water energy was fired at the oncoming enemy. Water had defeated many of the Hunters, and were overwhelmed by the power of the waves. However, some of the Hunters stood, not at all wavered. Firedracax, in particular had a firm grip on his staff, as he heated any of the water being fired at him into steam in an instant. "Alright, maybe we should have brought along a Toa of Ice. We can't douse this fiery Hunter..." said Kiina. "Maybe we can!" shouted Gali from a distance. Maybe the Toa Nuva could. The flood she created was indeed huge, rivaled only by a Nova Blast. The wave had rushed out of the mountains in seconds, and the intense force made any surrounding spikes collapse from the loss of support. As it came down on Firedracax, he yet again focused his Fire powers to turn the flood into steam. He used his power with immense effort, until his Fire powers slightly diminished from the use, allowing the waves to crash down on him. "Impressive, Gali. Maybe we're fine against Fire after all." said Gaaki. "We might be. But The Shadowed One is still in that fortress, and that army we just saw couldn't be all of the Dark Hunters he has." replied Gali. "Okay, keep unleashing floods if you want, but we still have Onu-Matoran to save, right? We might want to prioritise here." queried Kiina. "Well, we've got to get The Shadowed One out of the mountains. It would be essential to do that first, don't you think?" said Hahli. "Alright... let's get this shadowed guy out of here." mumbled Kiina. The company then went inside the Black Spike Mountains to meet The Shadowed One, and fought the occasional guard among the entrances. Kiina and Tarix, however, were not accompanying the rest. They were looking around the vast caves that the Onu-Matoran left when they were living in the mountains, hoping to find the presumably captured Matoran. Most of the searches yielding nothing, as they were mainly abandoned mines. But during the search of yet another cave, they saw something rather interesting. A Toa of Earth in a stasis tube. "What's he doing here? Wouldn't they just kill him? said Tarix confusingly. "I'm not sure. Maybe holding him for ransom?" replied Kiina. The two looked around the chamber a little more, they saw a Dark Hunter guard, and quickly hid behind a wall. However this was useless. The Dark Hunter called "Dweller" had seen the two looking at the stasis field, and tracked them down. He proceeded to destroy the wall next to them, revealing the two to him. "Ahhh... so there you are. Like mental blasts?" said Dweller. "Dweller" had focused his mental blast into Kiina, sending her reeling to the back wall, screaming in pain. Before "Dweller" was able to kill her, Tarix quickly slashed at his armour and claws, destroying his claws and damaging his armour. This was enough to distract him, and Tarix managed to pick him up and throw him into another empty stasis tube, keeping him in suspended animation. "Uggghh... that really hurt. That could have killed me..." mumbled Kiina, trying to recover. "It didn't this time. We would want to get this Toa of Earth out, but how? He's in a stasis field." said Tarix. "Ummm... smash it? said Kiina. After Kiina had mentioned smashing the tube, she did indeed smash it. With a quick slice of the glass that held the Toa, the Toa fell down limply, and started breathing again. He stood up, and was confused about why he was here. "Hello there, Toa of Earth. Who are you? Do you know why you're here?" asked Kiina. "My name is Toa Nuparu. And I was in the Black Spike Mountains, but I'm here now for some reason." replied Nuparu. "We'll find out soon, I suppose. For now, you can help us. By the way. I'm Tarix." he said. "Well, Tarix, what's the problem?" said Nuparu. "I'll answer that. The Dark Hunters have taken over the Black Spike Mountains, and we currently leading a charge against "The Shadowed One" along with some other Toa. Will you help us?" said Kiina. "Dark Hunters? Toa? Taking over? I'll certainly help." responded Nuparu. The three then went back up the stairs and back on the surface, where they ran along a tunnel, presumably leading to another chamber. Nuparu had led the way, as he was inhabiting the Black Spike Mountains prior to his capture, and he knew the tunnels and the way around quite well. This eventually led them to the rest of the Toa, who were fighting against a few more Dark Hunters in a hallway outside of a conference room. The Toa were struggling to fight a powerful four-legged Dark Hunter and Sentrakh. This fight was interrupted when Nuparu shot up two stalagmites in front of the Hunters, and encased them in a thick coat of rock. He then proceeded to throw them across the room. "Nuparu! Where have you been?!" asked Hahli. "Well... I've been a protector of the Onu-Matoran here, but I soon woke up in a stasis tube." replied Nuparu.
  6. Yes, it's Bionicle Cthulu! Actually, no it isn't. This is Teuthix, a giant humanoid squid Rahi. Nothing like Cthulu at all, really. Teuthix was a large squid-like humanoid Rahi that lived in the murky depths beneath Ga-Metru. It could react violently if provoked, and was known to lash out with its tentacles at Matoran who disturbed it. However, it was also willing to aid the forces of good in much the same way that Keetongu was. Following the defeat of Makuta Teridax, Teuthix left the Matoran Universe to live in the Great Ocean of Spherus Magna.
  7. This is my third Toa Nuvatron created thus far, and has been modified for the Flickr September contest. And yes, those sawblade hand things ( ) spin around when striking, if the third picture failed to imply that properly.
  8. They fear him. The villagers fear him, the Toa fear him, even Kulta fears him. They know as soon as they see him, it's too late. Because once he's upon you, all you can do is scream. Don't cross the Skull Ripper. Insane in life and death, Skull Ripper could care less about masks. Instead, he decapitates anyone unfortunate enough to encounter him. He collects their skulls with his deadly dual-ended blade and keeps them as grisly trophies. Skull Ripper with his blade and chain Skull Ripper without any weapons Action pose The whole idea behind this MOC started out when I was building RolloutReviews' 2015 Akamai. I removed the eyestalks from the Toa heads to attach to the sword, and I imagined Kulta standing on a mound of those heads. The idea evolved from there into a new villain, and, seeing as Water didn't have a Skull villain, I made him blue. If you have any questions or want more pictures, I'll see what I can do. is this too dark?
  9. Hello, all! Now, a topic was brought up in the RPG planning topic, and I've brought it here so it doesn't clutter up space. Would water be too OP for beings underwater? could it be used for crushing your opponent? or pushing them away, drowning them, or what? Get to debating!!!
  10. Here's Toa Macku, the token water Toa of this fanfic Toa team. Armed with a Mask of Waterwalking (Which doubles as a flotation device), Kolhii Trident and a metal shield, Toa Macku is agile and quick on both water and land. The Trident can fling balls of water from one end, or fire a concentrated stream from the other. EDIT: Rushed to upload this one. As for my comments on the design, it looks horrendous from the side or back. My mock-gearbox system looks absolutely terrible, and on second thought the neck needs a ball-socket extension piece. EDIT 2: Will pay totally real money for someone to draw this alongside Mahri Hewkii. Next: Turaga Takanuva and Matoran of Spherus Magna
  11. Hello people! I do wanna apologize that I didn't post it here last week. The reason, I have been travelling to St. Petersburg city, and there was a "race" for my team and the other two teams. Okay enough for that, let's talk about Gali here, she is fascinating Toa, and I really love the look of Gali. But, shall I introduce for you, Gali, Master of Water (2.0 version)! More pics: https://www.flickr.com/photos/114946327@N08/sets/72157648958361383/ Video review: As always, I mentioned my opinion about her original form of it in small synopsis form, so I kinda reviewed her, but also explaining my personal opinion about her 2.0 version. But as you can see, comparing 2.0 version with pre-redesign version, she is dramatically different, especially the upper torso area, it was pain in a butt. Like, I revamped her upper torso three or four times before I got it some what better looking. Either I did it better or worse. The pre-redesign of her was "too" manly looking Gali, now that I see it in person, because of those bulkiness and those stuff. I didn't bother to build feminine torso design for her, and yes, I could have added some nuva breasts, but they're already overused. And the other reason why I did that, because I wanted to keep that printed chest part, I think that is cool looking and it gives a personality for Gali, and maybe it is necessary because it is good to match with the other Toa Okoto members. And the other thing what I want to say about Gali's design, yes, she has some bulkiness, but not bad looking comparing with her previous form. The thing is that that I have seen female characters, who were almost like in smaller role from RPG games and from the other genre type games. What I mean by that is that they were, either in healer role, or something else. But there are some cases that some of those video games, the female character is muscular, like Samus Aran in her power suit (well, maybe it was bad example, but giving a point also about Gali, why she's bulky). Secondly, this is Bionicle, and there are some cases that not every female character has feminine look or shape. The best example is Roodaka, she has female look and shape of it. While the Toa of Water (and lighting and psionics Toa, and light and shadow Toa) characters, doesn't appear with feminine look. Sure in fan fictions (or some of them) female characters have a female body look. All in all, she was kinda the hardest Toa to revamp, especially due to feminine elements. Yes, she might be bulky, but I don't mind it that much. I'm pretty happy to revamp her with new parts. But that's about it ^ ^
  12. "Remember? Remember what? How you left me for dead in the heat of battle?" |+| Flickr |+| Flavia, a Toa of Water from the Order of Mata Nui. Sent on a mission to take down a Brotherhood of Makuta fortress with Zanax, Ventus, and Sicarius, she supposedly perished when a Rahkshi stabbed her. But there's more to this Toa than meets the eye... I mainly built her so that I could play around with one of my new misprint Matatus, which were a birthday present from my dad.
  13. Vanquisher of Dragons, Runner of Blockades, and Hero of Naho Bay, may I present: Toa Naho ^Link to Gallery^ Wielding a Kanohi Kakama and twin Tide Daggers, this Toa of Water is ready to take on any foe, be it Kanohi Dragon or Dark Hunters. This was just a quick MOC to use some of my new masks and to get some creative juices flowing, but I'm very proud of how it turned out. The original idea was based on a sketch (bottom right corner) I started for Bonesiii's Destiny of Bionicle, but never finished. It turns out that most of my blue pieces are at Brickfair, so the legs are a bit more silver than I would have liked, but I think she looks good. Please Comment, Critique, and Enjoy!
  14. Gentlemen, behold: Helryx "Described as looking frail and battle-scarred, she's possibly one of the most powerful Toa in the universe, with unparalleled control over her element honed over many thousands of years." I was going for a bio-mechanical appearance, but tried to avoid the movie style, with its exposed(!) muscles and the weird fleshy-looking masks that some characters had. She also ended up looking somewhat like a Toa Mata, with asymmetrical arms, two-fingered hands, and a similar torso structure.
  15. Hey everyone. I'm back again. Here's another Work-in-progress that I've deemed complete. It's my custom version one of my favorite Matoran, Amaya, who appears in my podcast continuation of Bionicle: End of the Beginning. The design is heavily based off a friend of mine's, Fsnorglepuff, an MOCist well-known for this Matoro model. There are several modded parts, so far all you purists, this model is impossible to replicate. :PClick the images to see larger versions of them! Front/Back Foot/Hand Closeups Head Back Closeup Amaya and Midak Parts from bricklink orders that I used to make the Matoran The original Amaya from good 'ol MNOGII Thoughts and suggestions?
  16. So, here's my last second entry to BBCC #65: For the Birds. I honestly could have done better, but with my procrastination, late Bricklink orders, and lack of time, this is what I got. I'll add more commentary and pictures later, but here's my entry so far: Entry Pic Basically, it's supposed to be a water version of a Phoenix, modeled on the Blue Crane. Hope you enjoy.

  18. So, two things have come into development recently. Primarily, a really awesome friend of mine, Shinjuki (Who none of you have probably ever heard of) asked me to build a character of his from MTG, Lacriel. At the same time, I got into round three of a contest on MOCpages. So, the obvious answer, is to combine the two tasks into one, so I have a more difficult challenge ahead of me. I think it paid off. Soo... ^Click for link to MOCpages gallery^ So... Yeah. Constructive Criticism welcome! Thanks for looking! =D
  19. NOTE: Credit to my sister for coming up with the name. Meet Rivera, the Toa of Water for Toa Team Alpha. She bears the Kanohi Faxon, wields a hook-spear-thing, and can control most forms of water. ^Click for LARGER picture!^ The torso is 100% custom! :) EDIT: Once I am done with Part 1 of my epic, I will make a short story for her.
  20. Well, I promised a MOC about 9 days ago so, I figured I should probably stop being lazy and post it consider how long I have been postponing to do so. He is pretty standard, but looks awesome. He also has some gaps filled in and stuff...so, hoping I haven't bored those of you with the attention span of my brother a monkey......I present to you...... Takerahk! (I guess this is kind of a fail because his picture isn't actually showing, instead it's just the Image URL, but oh well.) http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/SKAKDI/LEGO/BIONICLE/BIONICLEMOCS/Takerahk/130202-121008.jpg http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/SKAKDI/LEGO/BIONICLE/BIONICLEMOCS/Takerahk/130202-121029.jpg http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/SKAKDI/LEGO/BIONICLE/BIONICLEMOCS/Takerahk/130202-121034.jpg http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/SKAKDI/LEGO/BIONICLE/BIONICLEMOCS/Takerahk/130202-121039.jpg http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/SKAKDI/LEGO/BIONICLE/BIONICLEMOCS/Takerahk/130202-121122.jpg http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/SKAKDI/LEGO/BIONICLE/BIONICLEMOCS/Takerahk/130202-121148.jpg http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/SKAKDI/LEGO/BIONICLE/BIONICLEMOCS/Takerahk/130202-121212.jpg http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=521915 (Yup, it's public)
  21. The scourge of Spherus Magna. The tyrant of the universe. Brickshelf: http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=522437 Mocpages: http://www.mocpages.com/moc.php/352208 In an alternate universe, Flaredrick had defeated Melvair, he gained the power to stop the Shattering. He then later constructed an empire, one that no one could imagine. The power of it, would make the Element Lords fall to their knees. The Great Beings made an attempt to stop him, and his empire, but he threatened to destroy the whole universe. There was later an uprising going on inside his kingdom. He soon sent out an all out assault to stop this revolution from amassing. When the uprising was defeated, he had gotten word of who was its leader. He was shocked and saddened to hear hat it was his wife Seria. He later changed his color and elemental powers to that of Water, and Death. He also took up a Kanohi Shelek, abandoning his Ignika, to a more fearsome mask. Comments and Critisim are accepted.
  22. All comments appreciated. Thank you! The Guardian You open with the inside of an amusement park. You see kids and adults playing in all ends of the pools. Some are wearing floaters and others are diving off boards or searching for toys in the bottom of the pool that others had thrown there, as the wade pool pulls and pushes older kids and parents around. You see others trying to hold their breaths the longest and some racing others to get to the other end of a pool. You then see a young girl go up on some stairs. She climbs and climbs until she reaches the top. She then walks forward a little and stops. A holding bar and the beginning of the long twist and turn slide take hold of the girl’s view of sight. She walks slowly towards the starting point. She looks at the water flowing down to the bottom and all the turns that are in the slide. She then notices the short dark tunnel in the middle of the slide so she looks up at the lifeguard with a worried look on her face.Lifeguard: It’s alright honey! You don’t have to go down if you don’t want to.The young girl then looks down again to see her mom and dad waiting for her at the bottom, standing on either side of the slide in the water. You see that the slide goes all the way to the bottom of the pool. She smiles and waves as they wave back at her. She then takes a deep breath and stands up straight almost like she is a gymnast getting ready to start a routine. She then grabs onto the handle, takes one last look at the lifeguard, and pulls herself down the slide. She screams and laughs as she slides down until she sees the tunnel coming closer to her. Before she reaches it, she sees the inside rotate and open at the bottom before the entrance into it. A figure comes out, looks at her, and then dissipates into a puddle of water. She tries to stop, but is unable too. She becomes scared until she enters the tunnel and sees four dark emblems light up. When she leaves, she is laughing again and screaming like she did before, as if nothing ever happened. She then reaches the bottom and goes over to her parents.Mom: So how was it sweetheart?Young girl: It was so much fun mommy. Can I go again?Dad: Of course you can April. We’ll wait for you down here.Young girl: Yeah!April then hurries out the pool and starts speed walking to start the climb up the stairs again. As she does, you head towards the building with the concession area and the shower and changing rooms. You head through the concession part to the front of the building with the persons taking the money or tickets to enter. A whole row of people pay, hand tickets, and listen to which room they should go to. A girl dressed in clothes goes up to them with a piece of paper in hand.Counter person: Hello! What can I do for you?Woman: Um! Yes! Hi! I was given this application a few days ago. A Brianna told me to bring it back today. She told me she would be here today.Counter person: Oh right! She told me about you. Um! One sec.The counter person taps another lifeguard who then jumps to the counter and begins taking money and tickets. She opens part of the counter and lets the woman through.Counter person: Alright, my name is Stephanie. Brianna is on lifeguard duty if you’ll just follow me.Woman: Oh, ok! My name is Elle.Stephanie: It’s nice to meet you Elle. Now let’s see! Ah! There’s Brianna. She’s is over by the diving boards. Hey! Brianna! Your new recruit is here.Ella looks across the pool where the lifeguard Brianna is speaking with another lifeguard. She waves at Ella.Brianna: Hey Ella! Be right there!Ella waves back and watches as she hands her whistle to the lifeguard she was speaking with. He is really handsome and as Brianna walks away, she and he meet eyes. They continue staring at each other after he gets up into his chair. Brianna is then standing in front of her.Brianna: Hey there Ella! It’s good seeing you again.Ella: You too.Brianna: Alright Stephanie! Thank you for your assistance with our new lifeguard.Stephanie turns around and walks away just as Ella gets a really confused look on her face.Ella: Your new what?Brianna: Lifeguard silly!Ella: But you haven’t even conducted an actual interview with me.Brianna: Silly Ella! When you are the owner of a swimming pool and your best friend since like kindergarten finally comes home from her third year at the stupid University of Florida for a spring break and wants to work with her best friend, you don’t need an official interview thing-a-mi-jingy to know that she will be hired on the spot. So what’s new with you Ella?Ella smirks a little.Brianna: Oooooo. Is there a boy I should know about?Ella: No! There was, but…Brianna: Oh no! What happened?Ella: Nothing happened. It’s just that like all the other boys I’ve dated. I go out with them for like three dates and then I find out that they have another girlfriend they aren’t telling me about and that just makes me feel like I’m just the girl guys wanna date when something is going wrong in their own relationships. I don’t think I’ll ever find someone.Brianna: I’m sorry El.Ella: No! Don’t worry about it. I’ll be fine just like all the others I didn’t even get to really know. Hi, my name’s blah blah blah and then ‘BOOM’ there are the true girlfriends.Brianna: Don’t say that Ella. You’re great! Forget about them. Don’t forget what your mom always said. There is always something planned for every person. I’m sure I can still get you finally laid by working here and you won’t have to worry about them not calling you or having another girlfriend. I know which do, which don’t. Which are exactly you type, which have no clue and can’t take a hint. I’ll pick you someone great. In fact, I already took the liberty of picking one for you.Ella: That’s sweet of you Brianna. It really is. Seriously though, don’t you think I’m a little old to be told who I can and can’t go out with?Brianna: Okay! Okay! But I’m still gonna hook you up.Ella sighs and then laughs with her best friend as Brianna throws her arm over Ella.Brianna: Come on! Follow me! Let’s go over the basics of lifeguardiandum or something like that.Ella: Lifeguardiandum?Brianna: It’s a new things.Ella: If you say so.They continue walking back to the office building and you see the unusual shape on the slide from before peering at them.
  23. So, we know the Pit Mutagen is formed from Aqua Magna water reacting with normally harmless energies from the Matoran Universe. It mutates beings into water breathers, changing the appearance of some beings more than others, and some are immune to it. It can also grant new abilities or boost pre-existing ones (in the case of Ehlek and Takadox, respectively), but it can also have harmful effects -- it's damaging to Kanohi and weapons, and prevented the mutated Makuta from accessing some of their powers. But do you really think that a substance that consistently altered those exposed to it into water breathers would have resulted by chance? Consider that after a brief exposure to it, the Matoran of Mahri Nui were returned to their original forms, or something close. How could that be?I wonder if something else was involved: some sort of energy or substance that was designed to help restore beings, or if necessary alter them to fit their environment. I don't know where it could have come from, but I think it explains why a brief exposure cured the Mahri Nui Matoran of their bad repair job -- maybe they have some sort of default build programmed into them that the mutagen called upon. Those that needed to be able to breath water to survive were granted that ability, and the mutagen also gave sea animal-like qualities when necessary, to help them adapt. But of course, whatever was doing these repairs was never meant to mix with water, hence the random and harmful effects. And I don't expect the Barraki could have just climbed up on land and dumped mutagen on themselves to make them able to breath air again -- the fact that it's in water could be what makes it turn beings into water breathers. As for the Mahri Nui Matoran's case, maybe the airweed had something to do with it. Perhaps the mutagen was aerosolized in that case?I admit, it's not that solid a theory. But I'm trying to come up for some explanation for the mutagen's properties.
  24. Heyo! Man, it's been awhile since I've drawn these two. I figured I'd take a new spin on Hewkii, as I was dissatisfied with how his old design looked. I think this suits better. Hope you guys like it! This is pretty much still a sketch, so it's not meant to be fully finished. Perhaps the lightened designs of the old Hewkii and Macku represent the ghosts of what their relationship once was. A close relationship between a Toa and Matoran in the bionicle universe is still a sensitive topic. Hopefully Hewkii and Macku can break that sensitivity. Being a toa does not mean you're older, but simply taller with elemental power. Despite this, you are still who you are. And Hewkii has never forgotten his feelings for Macku. Even in his current state, Macku will always see him as the Hewkii she adored. BIONICLE © LEGO Drawings © Me.
  25. Aren't the transport chutes in Metru Nui filled with (protodermic) water? If so, how do the Matoran use them? Do they hold their breath? It doesn't seem like they could do that long enough to get anywhere.
