Now that G2 has unfortunately and prematurely been axed, Star Wars is the only line holding the constraction torch that we know of. I don't remember the exact source, but it has been said in the toxic and pungent thread related to that piece of news that Lego is still committed to CCBS and constraction. But what does this mean? Will constraction be a Star Wars only thing with significantly more sets? Will it be Star Wars only with the same amount or fewer sets due to a seemingly lessened interest in constraction? Will an existing licensed theme get CCBS sets? Will an existing original theme get CCBS sets? Do you think Lego will kick off an all-new original or licensed, constraction-only line? Could CCBS be axed as well in favor of a new constraction system? Will Hero Factory come back? (joking...) As I see it, the seeming lack of popularity of Bionicle will lure Lego into tacking constraction onto an existing line that is popular enough to make the sets sell simply because of the theme's logo on the box. This could be either very good or very bad, meaning that CCBS Nexo Knights would be very good and CCBS Ninjago would be very bad. Horribad. Abominable. I'm hoping they don't cut back on constraction, since it's the only thing Lego I care about and I refuse to buy Star Wars sets on principle alone. I guess the chances of an all-new original theme dedicated to constraction are slim, but I'd love to see a hard sci-fi space opera setting for some space-themed CCBS sets. Like Mass Effect, but child-friendly. Or, you know, Lego Mass Effect. I'd love that. Anyway, what do you think? What will the future of CCBS, or constraction as a whole be?
