Not long ago, I was browsing through BionicleSector01 and I noticed something in the page for the Bionicle Legends book series. Back in 2007, one of the books (Invasion) scheduled to be released was cancelled. I've known about this for a while (though not specifically the name of that book), so what I'm interested in is the content of that book. BS01 gives us only a basic description of what happened. My imagination has been running wild recently about what the specifics might have been like. (Since Vezon makes an appearance at one point, I can easily imagine some funny quotes.) Also, since it was a scheduled book that was cancelled (rather than never started, as far as I'm aware), I can't help but wonder if Greg might still have a draft of it somewhere.I wasn't active here back in 2007, so I'm not sure if there's anything I'm not aware of regarding this (and I don't really have the time to go searching through the forum archive for answers).
Well for those of you who aren't aware of what this was cybots was a cancelled lego theme that was in development during 1995, I'd recommend you look at the brickipedia page on the planned theme(there you can view the prototypes and back story). Links here:http://lego.wikia.com/wiki/CYBOTS So what do you think of the theme? What do you think the models would have looked like(had they gone past the prototype stages)? Could it have been successful? And had this theme been released how do you think it would have affected the future of constraction themes?
I remember back in 2012 hearing about a potential live-action movie based on HF, lego were supposedly discussing the idea with universal and it would have been written by the same guys who did predator. But since then nothing's been heard about it, so it leaves a lot of questions such as, what happened to it? Why did it(presumably)get cancelled? Was it even true? And I also ask you would it have been a good idea and what would it have been like?
