  1. I'll be real with you lot, I'm a huge Bionicle fan (just like most of you here are) and I'm wondering, after reading a thread from 2016 asking somewhat the same thing, I'm looking for theories and or any information there might be regarding the return of Bionicle from 2020+ Lego has stated in a tweet about G2's cancelation that a return for Bionicle isn't going to be ruled out of the future. I wanna know your thoughts, is G3 possibly gonna happen within the next few years? While I'm willing to take everyone's opinions, I'm not looking forward to read negatie ones.
  2. Hi! I want to add Icarax with both box and instructions to my collections. If you have one for sell, I will be interested. Prefering Europe sellers.
  3. I was surprised to see my all-time favourite Bionicle showdown at the Fairview Mall LEGO Store in Toronto this past Saturday. However, I don't know how "official" this is. It says it was built by a Master Builder, but I don't know if this is just a one-off creation for this store only, or if the instructions came from higher up. Regardless, I just thought you would like to see it.
  4. A collab between ...The Chosen One... and myself, this is Takanuva and Makuta having a fancy showdown. And some fancy non-entry style extra individual shots! (Each photo links to flickr where you can see more shots of each) Takanuva (DeeVee): Makuta (...The Chosen One...):
  5. So, yeah. It kind of speaks for itself. And this has caused some confusion on other platforms but, the first pic is actually of the moc too! other angles: http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/Ids5621/Rahkshi/img_20171001_130554.jpg http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/Ids5621/Rahkshi/img_20171001_120355754.jpg
  6. So, sometime around the same time that Teridax infected the GSR with that sleep-causing virus, he took on the appearance of Turaga Dume in Metru Nui, presumably after subduing somehow and stuffing the real guy into a Matoran sphere. Now, according to BS01, Teridax went ahead and took over the person of "Dume" about a year and a half prior to the climax of Legends of Metru Nui. The question is... how did he avoid arousing suspicion right off the bat? If Teridax was the "Makuta of Metru Nui", presumably one of the folks who could directly influence trade, communication, and regulations concerning Metru Nui and work with the inhabitants of other islands to keep the place safe, how could he possibly have disappeared for over a year without creating mass panic? Sure, the Matoran probably didn't see much of an effect, as it's possible that they didn't even knew who Teridax was; however, the folks in charge of Xia, Zakaz, Stelt, and the Southern Continent would have surely made an effort to communicate with him on issues concerning immigration and commerce. As far as always figured, Teridax was the de facto leader of Metru Nui after the Matoran Civil War, with the Turaga serving a strictly ceremonial role for social events and rituals like Akilini games. (IIRC that's pretty much what the Turaga did on Mata Nui as well.) At the very least, he would have been watched by the Order, which was definitely keeping tabs on him and his efforts at militarizing the Brotherhood. Wouldn't folks have been trying to reach him constantly, especially as rumors spread of the Morbuzahkh and certain Dark Hunters? If anyone can clear this one up, then that would be phenomenal. Discuss. -Azani
  7. SO. Who's your favorite Makuta?Mine was Krika. I always felt sorry for him. He tried his best to do good, and look where it got him. Mutated, and faded out of existence by Gorast.
  8. You guys, I finished the thing!
  9. Makuta Luroka

    A project.

You guys I'm working on a thing. Three guesses what the thing is.
  10. Edit:I improved my Warlord Makuta in many ways since I entered it. I decided it was necessary, and I wish I entered it this way last time. I gave him extra claws like wolverine.I gave him transparent purple shin armor, a more natural looking battle skirt with more transparent purple to even it out. I also lowered his wings, and gave him a huge battle axe to go with his mace when he wants a different weapon. I think my next changes will be getting black axles for the skirt, which is kinda similar to JTO Makuta, and I will see if I can use some transparent purple on the arms without leaving gaps in his arm armor.. I am changing the original pictures to links. Ever since I saw the first animation for Bionicle generation 2, I wanted a huge Makuta. Then when we saw Journey to One, we got it. But I thought it just looked a little off. So I started thinking of how I would make a giant Makuta for the To a to battle. I wanted him to look large and impressive. And I then realized we never had a character with a flail. I then realized I had the purple pieces that would work great. Then I decided he needed a shelf. So I took some Thornatus pieces and a buzzsaw to make a kite shield. I then decided that the ways most characters hold their weapons looked rigid and unnatural. So he holds the flail at an angle. I made his talons and claws the same for consistency. I picked the shoulder arnor because it just looked so cool on Onua. I made the stomach and back use torso armor to reduce the gappiness, but it still has some gap on the back. The legs have an unnecessary amount of detail, but I like how they turned out. I especially like this Mask of Ultimate power. I hope you guys like this guy. I made several call changes recently, and I think I finally made him complete. I would welcome opinions and onions. http://i.imgur.com/VnKwHGI.jpg http://i.imgur.com/jLut1wY.jpg http://i.imgur.com/95kfofd.jpg http://i.imgur.com/AGliVLs.jpg
  11. Searching for Ekimu's tomb, the Toa journey deep beneath the City of the Mask Makers. There they wind through ancient catacombs, battling Skull Scorpios at every turn. In time they push their way—or are they themselves pushed?—into a vast chamber. In its center swirls a vortex of debris, all that remains of the vanquished Lord of the Skull Spiders. In the darkness, Onua can make out a lone figure. Have the Toa found their quarry at last? "Ekimu!" he calls. "We are here to rescue you!" The six gasp as an islander steps out of the shadows… Flickr Here is my entry to The Legend Continues contest! Participants create entries reflecting things they would have liked to see in G2 Bionicle. I recreated the MNOG confrontation with Makuta in the style of the 2015 animations. Please let me know what you think!
  12. I can hear the sound of my little cousin, Cyro crying. Sounds of fright and sadness. Both our houses were suddenly attacked and destroyed. Thank goodness nobody has been hurt. I’ve heard a similar tale of sadness before. Both my story, and this ancient one come from the same origin. It was such a simple path that led to this. Jealousy, and want for fame can lead to darkness, and many times it causes you to forget about others. Who knew that something so commonplace could lead to so much pain? Makuta and Ekimu were brothers. Both made amazing masks that allowed everyone on Okoto to go throughout their lives and complete tasks with ease. It was a wonderful time. We were flourishing, with all the comforts that a city could bring. It was a time of little hardship or conflict. We all thought it would stay like that. It didn’t. To celebrate the great help that these two brothers gave us, we held an annual festival each year to thank them. As well as to see what they had in store for us this time. Makuta and Ekimu both presented that which they had created. Although both created marvellous things, Ekimu’s always shone brighter in the eyes of the people. Eventually, a seed of jealousy was planted in Makuta’s heart. Instead of letting that seed spoil, he allowed it to grow. He allowed it to grow to a point to where he dabbled in things that could not be understood.Makuta allowed himself to become corrupted, and in turn hurt those that he wished to acknowledge him. In secret, Makuta had created the Mask of Ultimate Power. A mask with so much power, that it enlarged his faults even further, and led him to do things which we thought he would never do. Dark things to make us fear and worship him. Thankfully, Ekimu’s quick thinking kept the island from being destroyed, but his decision came at a price. Ekimu fell into a deep sleep, and we were forced to leave the great city which we had built due to the destruction that happened. Despite that sadness, we were eventually able to regain our lives. We had peace for a long time. Jealousy and greed bubbled up again to the surface. Our villages were attacked by creatures under Makuta’s control. We could do little to protect ourselves. We realized this and called upon an ancient prophecy about six heroes and protectors to help us in these dark times. We still had hope. The barrage of attacks kept on coming, and we were scared, but these heroes came and are doing all in their power to protect us, and give us comfort in this time. We are thankful, and we will support them in any way we can.
  13. [Digital Render] Makuta Teridax by Artemiy Karpinskiy, on Flickr "Little Toa, you have not yet begun to see even the barest outlines of my plans. I have schemes within schemes that would boggle your feeble mind. You may counter one, but there are a thousand more of which you know nothing. Even my … setbacks … are planned for, and so I shall win in the end.“ — Makuta Teridax to Toa Metru Vakama, Time Trap * * * If you like what I do and you want to see me create your OC, a favorite Bionicle Character, or something else, feel free to look up my Commission Info! 14. After being defeated by Ekimu & the Toa in his Behemoth form, Makuta decided to re-build himself with his remaining shadow powers into more agile and swift form. Equipped with 2 Katanas and Kusarigama (sickle and chain), he is still set on his destiny of taking revenge on his brother and rule over Okoto. Bonus pic Credit to [Chro] for the hand building technique. Comments and criticism welcome!
  15. After a long hiatus, the Bionicle: Audio-Narration-Project (or ANP for short), has finally returned! The entire third book in the Chronicles series, Makuta's Revenge, is available to listen to all at once right here!
  16. Special thanks to Kortess for designing this fantastic mask. Been wanted to put this together for a while after getting the mask but been at uni. Finally got a break home so i did this. Noticed someone recently put a similar moc up here, so i promise im not trying to steal anyones thunder. Just coincidental timing. Anyway, this is my best attempt to create a movie faithful Makuta. Obviously the colors are wrong since they're impossible lol. Also the red crotch, as im sure people will bring up, is red because it was red both in the movie and the set, and I wanted some dark red thrown in without going nuts. I guess Makuta likes getting busy. Also in the movie he has two thumbs. There wasn't a way to elegantly put that on a hand without making the hand too bulky or unsightly so i went with what I did. Also this way he can hold his staff in a reasonably realistic manner. Ill probably put up more shots soon, but my lamp currently broken. Lemme know what you guys think. Peace ~Ids5621~
  17. Hi, guys! I have a question that may make you wondering: What does the Mask of Control from G2 do specifically? We know what the Mask did in the story: it can be controlled by Makuta, Makuta used it to mutate and mind-controlled Umarak when Umarak is wearing it, Umarak used the mask to combine the Shadow Traps and elements from Okoto into the Elemental Beasts and control them, and perhaps summoning them. Plus, we know about what the other Legendary Masks of Power can do, but the Mask of Control is something to be curious about. Also, when Umarak became the Destroyer, he suggested to Makuta that he would lead the Elemental Beasts to bring destruction on Okoto, but Makuta objected it and told Umarak to do a different task. Makuta may control Umarak's mind, but Umarak has his own opinions to please his master, even though that he has to do what Makuta say. According to BS01, it can mind-control people and has mind-bending powers. What does "mind-bending" mean, too? It seems to be G2's own Mask of Mind Control (from G1, Onewa's mask). Makuta once wore the Mask, but never used to mind-control people or mutate himself. What was the purpose of the mask for Okoto, too? In other words, why did Makuta wear it before he made the Mask of Ultimate Power? Was it meant prevent Okotoans from being mentally corrupted or thinking to cause harm on Okoto? What else can the mask do? Control the elements like the Toa? What do you guys think about this? I think of the Mask of Control as the most mysterious of all the Masks of Power in G2 for what it can do.
  18. Hi, guys! We all know that Makuta Teridax from G1 and Makuta from G2, everybody's favorite Bionicle villain and mine, too, are like different versions of each other from alternate universes. Each of them is the main antagonist of one of the generations overall. Both are powerful and demonic warriors who have shadow powers and can shape-shift. They even turn into Titan-sized, or Hulk-sized forms, which are their traditional and well-known forms. They are masterminds who created complex plans that lead to conquest and destruction. They led armies of other evil-hearted villains. They always kill some people along the way. All of these qualities make them very dangerous, crazy, and cruel. We always see the Makuta's fight against Toa and their allies. Some of their allies are who the Makuta's call their "brothers" who they put into endless slumbers for a thousand of years. The Makuta's proved to be most difficult foes that the heroes have faced, are archenemies of the heroes, too. The Makuta's are like Bionicle's own Thanos from Marvel, Darkseid from DC Comics, Aku from Samurai Jack, Him from The Powerpuff Girls, the Overlord and Garmadon from Ninjago, President Business from The Lego Movie in 2014, Megatron from Transfomers, and Jafar from Disney's Aladdin movie in 1992 (happy 25th anniversary to it). I would consider Makuta Teridax to be one of the greatest villains in history (Makuta G2 - well, not so much). They have been through many battles through the storylines, and they include: 1. 2001 - Toa Mata vs. Makuta Teridax in his vortex form 2. Late 2003 - Takanuva vs. Teridax in his shadow Titan form 3. 2004 - Toa Metru (mainly Vakama) vs. Teridax in his winged Titan form 4. 2007 - the Barraki vs. Teridax as Maxilos 5. 2010 - Mata Nui and his forces vs. Teridax, controlling the Great Spirit Robot, and his forces 6. 2016 - Toa Uniters vs Makuta G2 If you have other things and the Makuta's being involved in battles in mind, go ahead to say it. Anyway, the point in this topic is that to ask you this: What is your favorite Makuta-Teridax-or Makuta-G2-involved battle? My question is inspired by the time I watched YouTube videos about boss battles of a certain boss from some games, like Lego Joker from Lego's TT Games, Bowser and each individual Koopaling (each of these guys have their own video) from Mario, and King K. Rool from Donkey Kong. There are so many Makuta Teridax/Makuta G2 fights that I compare them to these videos. You see what I mean? So, as I said, what is your favorite Makuta Teridax/Makuta G2 battle? For me, mine is the 2001, late 2003, 2004, and 2010 battles.
  19. Hello all, I am not sure if this is the right way to go about this ... but can I request a commission MOC of Alternate Teridax? I hope this is the appropriate place for this. Thanks so much.
  20. Hey guys, So recently I've been working on remastering the Bionicle Movie Trilogy from 2003-2005 by Miramax and Creative Capers. Here's a sample clip of how it looks so far and there are more details in the video description. What do you all think? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cQ-8IrjL0bc&t=1s
  21. Crack! Lightning split the air and thunder rolled over their craft. Yet the pair of Makuta continued to weather the storm, for there was no room for either of them in the hold, among their meager provisions. They were roughly two and a half hours at sea, now, and the storm had been persisting since before they had left. Normally, one would not shove off in such a bad storm, but circumstances had been... extenuating. These two Makuta were escapees from the fateful coup staged by Teridax. Opposed by nature to the vile rule of their former brother-in-arms, the pair had, like many others, attempted to escape to a far-off locale, in hopes of living out the rest of their existence incognito. Regarding those two Makuta: One lay prostrate upon the deck, and the other was hunched over him. The feature most immediately noticeable to a passive onlooker was that, from the former of the beings described, there was rapidly escaping that pale, green mist known as antidermis. The source of this emission was a massive injury on the backside of the being's pitch-black armor casing. Various cloths and lengths of rope had been employed in the effort of stemming the life-giving substance's escape, but it continued to flow in spite of them, and in spite of the cannonball-like midak ball that still remained lodged in the wound, without which obstacle the victim would, ironically, have far earlier died. A more astute observer would notice a similar stream of gas emanating from the destroyed right half of the healthier Makuta's Kanohi. A portion of the gas escaping from both injuries was dissolving into the rain that streamed down that unfortunate pair of bodies, leaving a trail of a ghastly green tint in the water that flowed off the sides of the boat. Struck by the hopelessness of his situation, the dying Makuta reached his shaking hands up to his face, and weakly removed his own, undamaged Kanohi, offering it to his companion in the hopes that the latter could avoid a similar fate. With some understandable hesitation, the hunched one slowly took the pristine mask. Lifting it to his face, he stared into its empty, soulless eyes. And through them he saw those of his comrade, which were beginning to take on a similar vacancy. As he continued to stare, heartbroken, more gas began to weakly seep from his friend's bare face. The Makuta, unwilling to turn down the apparent dying wish of his comrade, removed his ruined mask and replaced it with the dripping, rain-streaked Kanohi by which he had known his friend for centuries. If any attempt had been made to exchange words in this scene, they had gone unheard over the storm. Meanwhile, the boat that now carried a single, unfortunate soul, came into sight of Keno Island's beach. ------- What a crock. The soft sound of his footfalls echoed from the steep bank which marked the end of the beach. Having long since shifted his form into that of a lowly Matoran, the disguised Makuta was in search of whatever type of civilization sparsely inhabited this island. He was but several hours into his circumnavigation of the island's coast, when he gained view of a small settlement. It was another hour of trudging through the sand (Matoran, he found, have egregiously short and stubby legs) before he approached the village-- a mere dot on the surface of the island, sprawling maybe two dozen shacks and shanties along the waterfront, with a single, properly-constructed building up off of the beach; probably a meeting hall or some other sort of gathering place. As he neared, the unfortunate survivor increasingly sensed something amiss. Even a village this small should have people out and about in the middle of the day, and yet, in the hour that he had spent walking towards it, he had seen not a soul. No Matoran on fishing boats in the water, not a man going between the buildings for his tasks. Only ghosts strolled down the dirt path that divided the town. Entering the midst of the buildings, he began to investigate the shacks. Though small, and certainly under-equipped for a being of his stature, they had a certain pleasant, homey quality, which he recognized as being characteristic of the constructions of simple beings like Matoran. The fortresses and outposts of the Brotherhood, though he recalled them fondly, were far from comfortable. He pushed through the hanging mesh of palm leaves that served as a door to one building, and, his keen eyes failing to perceive any living beings within, he began to rummage around. Though a single room, another mesh of leaves separated it into two halves. In one, it seemed, the inhabitants of the shack slept, while the other contained a series of wooden bowls, utensils for cooking and eating, and most impressively, a rudimentary stove. The Makuta looked upon it with the unwittingly self-superior wonderment of a man witnessing the complex tunnels of an ant colony. Yet, he thought, I cannot locate the residents of this abode. Worried for the well-being of his newfound ants, he ventured forth from the shack he had been investigating. He knew exactly where to search next: The meeting hall. That would certainly be where Matoran would go in a crisis. He approached the building - monumental in comparison to those ones which dotted the beach - and parted the doors. And he stopped, for he was immediately assaulted by the hideous stench of death. Sadness welled up in his heart. Oh, no, he said to himself in worriment. They've all died, haven't they? It took only a cursory search to confirm his suspicions. Several bodies littered the foyer, where he had entered, but in the very next room was piled at least three quarters of the village's population. Their corpses were in some cases hideously mutilated, and he thought it best to begin his examination with one of those. It did not take long to determine the cause-- a peculiar, viral infection, the key characteristic of which was its tendency to cause the infected to develop manipulative, secretive, and usually paranoid personalities, and experience nightly episodes of psychosis, often with a focus on spreading the malady to others. The infection took hold of its victim immediately, and was extremely difficult to detect 90% of the time, when the victim would act almost completely normally. In one week's time, it would begin to replicate so rapidly that the host's cells would start to burst, causing various other symptoms until death. Under normal circumstances, it would be simple to synthesize a cure. However, with the Brotherhood in chaos, that would prove impossible, and this Makuta's knowledge of local flora was unfortunately nonexistent. Nor, it seemed, were the Matoran natives able to develop a true cure on their own-- as evidenced by the pile of bodies in front of him. In such circumstances, the only thing to do was to slaughter patients before they could infect anyone else. And, on that note, the sound of ragged breathing, and stirring as if from sleep, seemed to indicate that the Makuta had judged one such 'body' rather prematurely. He turned, to witness the apparent sole survivor of this incident rising from the floor. His mannerisms clearly indicated that he was in the later stages of the infection. The end was near for him, anyway. "Oh..." Breathed the visitor, still in the guise of a Matoran. "You poor wretch." The Makuta on Keno Island A deadly infection has taken root in the population of Keno Island, and it's making use of its victims to guarantee its spread. Led by the sole Turaga of the island, the healthy residents of various villages have come together to one location. But little do they know that the infection has already claimed one of their own. Meanwhile, a Makuta turned political refugee seeks to escape the notice of the Teridax-led Brotherhood of Makuta. But it would seem that they have already turned their search upon this small island, for one of their own agents also walks among the Matoran. The Village - Wins by eliminating the Infected, and any Makuta that are revealed Matoran x 17 - Simple villagers, these roles vote during the day, and have no actions to perform at night. Turaga - The leader of the Matoran, this role's votes count for double during the day. Doctor - Well-versed in the medicinal plants native to the island, this role can prevent either death or infection for one individual each night-- including itself. May not protect against both at once, however, if the Detective is targeted with either form of protection, they will gain the benefits of both. The Doctor's concoction to prevent infection is fatal to the infected. Detective - This resourceful Matoran can detect signs that one might not be as they seem. Investigates someone during the night, and finds whether they are village-aligned or not. No more, no less. The Infected - Wins by infecting the majority of the remaining players, or by keeping Patient Zero alive through day 7 Patient Zero - The first infected in this village. Picks two people to infect before other roles go out. Votes with all Infected on who to convert during the night. If allowed to live for 7 days, dies in a gruesome spectacle in which all remaining Villagers are infected. Infected x2 - Chosen by Patient Zero before the start of the game. Vote with him on who to infect during the night. The Makuta - Both are immune to the infection, and will survive the first attempt to lynch them. Must not reveal roles to Village. Visitor - Kills someone every night. Wins by eliminating the Infection while remaining undetected by the Agent, or by eliminating the Agent as well as the Infection. Loses if all Villagers are eliminated or infected. Agent - Can kill once per game. Wins by seeing Visitor eliminated. Rules: 0. Roles act as described during the night. During the day, everyone votes on who to lynch. Null votes are allowed, however, abstaining is not. One person will be lynched, and ties will be broken by the Turaga. If the Turaga's vote has already been cast for one of the tied candidates, that one will be immediately lynched, otherwise the Turaga will give their decision via PM. Null cannot win ties. Ties will not be announced, nor will vote totals. 1. A Makuta is considered 'revealed' only by being unsuccessfully lynched (which reveals them to all), or by revealing their role to a Villager (which reveals only to that individual). If someone claims to know a Makuta, whether it be true or false, or by that player's admission to being one or no, that player is not revealed to all as a Makuta. 2. Villagers are to play to their role, which means attempting to lynch a Makuta of which they become aware (however, they may put this off until the Infected are dealt with, or what have you). They may claim that someone is a Makuta to the rest of the village, however, that Makuta is not revealed, and other players are not required to lynch them at any point, though they certainly may. 3. Everyone must do everything in their power (and within the rules) to win, until they have died or the game has concluded. 4. The dead must not interfere with the game. 5. Use of screenshots in any scenario, as well as quoting from your role PM to prove your role, are forbidden. Relevant out-of-game discussion is permitted*, and may be quoted (or have quotes faked) from, but since I can't view those conversations, honor rule is in play, particularly regarding rule #2; Makuta should not out themselves to a Villager, looking for an alliance! 6. Infection conversions occur before any deaths in a scene. So, if there's one Infected and they die, their conversion for that night will occur before their death, and thus still take effect. *7. During the night, Infected may only converse with each other, and everyone else must be isolated-- the idea is that everyone retreats to their own meeting/house during the night. Player list 1. 22. (Yes it's suppose to be "lack" not "lake") So I kinda noticed something that really disappointed me while building the 2016 makuta combo model. In the 12 years bionicle has been producing sets only one official Makuta set for both Gens has been made. In 2003 we got his titan form but after that we only got Ultimate Dume which was a combo model, Turaga Dume which isn't really makuta just a form he took, Maxilos just a form he possessed, then finally the unofficial combo model from 2016. I just find it rather sad that the main villain from all 12 years of Bionicle only got one set that was just him nothing else. Is this just a thing I take issue with or do you folks also agree with this? Onvermel
  23. I bought villiger scale MoUP in White Strong & Flexible Polished, to paint it in gold. First I used paint in spray. But it doesn't look too much like lego gold, so I bought Citadel's Auric Gold, that few people recommended already. Big gallery: http://imgur.com/a/pw3iZ

The chest print is from a TTV thread, either from the JtO Makuta or Overlord Makuta threads, I don't recall. And yes I commited some "heresy" as it's referred to, by painting the Hau and am armor addon (and yes I know the Star Wars Rouge One droid had that piece in black, but most likely it would be 3x more expensive than the silver or the other two colors) Comparison: http://mate397.deviantart.com/art/Makuta-2001-2016-636124071 http://mate397.deviantart.com/art/Makuta-From-Mask-Maker-to-Nothing-636124308 http://mate397.deviantart.com/art/Makuta-From-Titan-to-Protector-636124657 And just a little something for the road https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=26PRhCJtgPQ
