TLDR; More artists and voice actors are needed, please comment if you're interested in joining our project! Hello everyone, I’m Joev14, or Joel. You may be familiar with my work on the Bionicle: Audio Narration Project, a project that included full voice acting, SFX, and Music for narrating the Bionicle Chronicles series, my Exo-Force Reviews, or my Podcast. Since completing Chronicles ANP, I have been searching for another project to work on, and was approached by a member of this community named Casiano (AKA Toa Fierek), to be voice director of a new project—a project that aims to create six video motion comics of the Bionicle 2006 story. I have now taken on the role of lead director of the project, and since then work has gotten underway. We currently have a team of five artists (Kevin Adorno, Julie Stewart, Felix Lortie, Henry Price, and Alice Rieker). I have posted some of Julie and Felix’s work below as a reference. In addition to art, the comic will feature a fully voice-acted cast for the various characters. I have included a spreadsheet with the various roles, as well as people who I’m considering for them. If an actor has a “Yes” next to their name, it means they have been confirmed for that role. Anyone who doesn’t has not been confirmed for that role, and other people are completely free to try out for that role; I will choose the actor that I think suits the role best. Those of you who haven’t yet heard of or joined this project, we have a discord server and would love to hear your auditions, or see your artwork! Many possible ways of helping with the project are still open, and we’d love to have you join us. Those of you who are already part of the project, please PM me your email so I have a solid form of communication with you as the project continues; this will solidify your role for voice acting or artwork. We look forward to presenting our first episode in the next few months; based off the 2006 short story “Hope”, written by Lady Kopaka (who has graciously offered to help be involved in the project).
Hello everyone. I have sad news today. Waldyr Sant'anna, the Brazilian Portuguese voice of Turaga Vakama in the Miramax trilogy, passed away 5 days ago. Aside from Turaga Vakama, he was famous for voicing Homer Simpson, Eddie Murphy, and many other actors and characters from animated series. He was my favorite voice from the Movie and I will miss him greatly.
For those of you who don't know, I'm programming a game. I don't have much (yet) but when it's done I want to have voice acting for the three main characters. There's a problem, I know nothing about voice acting except that my current headset mic sucks. However I know people have VA'ed for various projects here (the Audio Narration Project, Rebirth Chronicles, and Brutaka's Game come to mind) and I desire to pick your brains. Question one: I found this microphone at a local pawn shop for $60. Is this a good microphone? Is it a good price? Will it work for VA'ing? Question two: If I don't get the above microphone - do you have any recommendations? My price range is up to the above mentioned $60. I don't want to buy junk, but neither do I want to fall prey to the 'OH IF YOU DON'T SPEND 300 BUCKS FOR THIS THING EVERYTHING'S GONNA SUCK' mentality that people seem so fond of shoving on me. (Not you, BZP, you're great.) If you have a microphone you like, isn't maniacally expensive, and works for VA'ing I am open to suggestions. Muchas gracias! -Jaga
Welcome one and all. I've always dreamt of a bionicle fighting game - a party fighter in particular akin to Smash Bros or Playstation All-stars. With this hypothetical idea in mind I created some lines set up for this sort of thing. Here are the ones I've done so far. It's all meant for fun so no, there won't actually be a game. But it's a thing to try out if anyone wants to take a crack at them, I even did a couple myself which will be provided in the topic. This was all done in one burst as I had no editing software either. In other words, this is me winging it in one go. Sadly the files were deleted by mistake and the scripts lost forever (maybe, with a little digging I could find it). Anywho, here you have it. My fight scripts for a hypothetical fighting game. Read on, laugh, cry, whatever, hope you enjoy it. ^^ - Faybos
