Arpy
Had to go with the Chestnut Winged Cuckoo. It's a bit wonky around the neck and beak area, but it does a great job of capturing its target. The shaping on 7 and 8 are great too.
BBBBalta
Voted for my own, though #6 is amazing and I wish it were in a different poll so I'd have a better chance.
Kanakalackin
I voted for #5. My little brother's work might be simple, but I love him and support him anyways. And Ricky is just so downright cute with the way my little brother built him. I have an Instagram page where you can see these pictures and more like them! Just click HERE! Bundalings
I voted for the Cuckoo. Shame the picture of #8 is so bad, I usually love Mak's work but I just can't tell enough about it. I want to THRIVE Not just survive.
Sumiki
Chestnut Winged Cuckoo is the clear choice here. The Kahu could have made it into contention but it's really quite hard to make out the details in the picture - love the '01 look on that one, though. avatar by Lady Kopaka
xccj
Of these, my favorites are Popeye the Hyacinth Macaw and Chestnut Winged Cuckoo, but I do appreciate the simplicity of Jazbay. In the end, I went with the Cuckoo. Good luck everybody! Ballom Nom Nom
While I love Laserbeak, the Chestnut Winged Cuckoo has beautiful plumage and is built the way a perching bird should be, so it has my vote.~B~
Gamzee Makara
For sheer number of outstanding qualities, I went with the Chestnut Winged Cuckoo. I'll admit, Popeye had me for a minute, and the Purple Martin was very well shaped, as Arp mentioned. However, I couldn't deny that I definitely admired the cuckoo more, and thus my choice. Taipu1
I went with the sheer simplicity of Jazbay in the end, it's so twee. - Taipu1.HighFly MatoranShowdownBZPRPG ProfilesHave you seen my Blog? I understand if you haven't
Obsessionist
There are some really well done, larger birds here that I think would clean up at Brickfair with the public. I'm going to go with the Cuckoo, though. Using fewer pieces at a smaller scale gives it a much smoother, believable texture and shapes than the larger entries achieve. Makaru
Gosh dang, sorry guys. I need to get myself a better camera, or get someone to teach me how to properly use the ones I have. I voted for the chestnut Cuckoo. That bird got some style. Spoiler Alert
Click
The beak was one of the main things that threw me off of the Cuckoo, so I voted for the Purple Martin just to prove that small guys can get votes too, and because I loved the detail, although the head is weird. ~ Corpus Rahkshi: Fang | Hoto | Tube | Tear | Canvas | Garrotte | Reda BZPRPG: Azusai | Mitsuri The Scarabax Library | Flickr | Deviantart

Hexann
I voted for entry 8#. The Kahu is awesome.
Aanchir
Popeye, the Kahu, and the Cuckoo are the most impressive entries in this poll as far as I'm concerned.Popeye easily has the most character of the three, but he is also the least refined. His color blocking feels uneven and the many textures in his design compete with one another. There are some somewhat conspicuous gaps, and he is not the most streamlined. The Cuckoo also has some competing textures, but there are fewer of them by virtue of the Cuckoo being a smaller model. Thus, the Cuckoo has a much stronger economy of design. It is cute and has very well-refined proportions and color blocking. The Kahu is fearsome and brilliantly revamps the original model with its bright spots of color on an otherwise more subdued black body. But like the original model, it is gappy and somewhat less streamlined than the other birds. I feel the Chima wing elements on its head are a somewhat poor design decision, as they are inconsistent with the mechanical textures present elsewhere on the model. Its wings, when outstretched, are rather underwhelming, It seems to go the farthest out of any of the entries when it comes to having an anatomically-realistic wing skeleton, but that comes at the cost of aesthetics. The Cuckoo is my final pick in this poll. Steve the Squid
I had to vote for the cuckoo. My only other choice would be Popeye, but it's way too lumpy, so it looks more like it's all ruffled or something. (Plus I can't have another Macaw as competition now, can I? Jk!) <Reverb>
Really, Chestnut wins my vote hands down. Jazbay and Popeye were other honorable mentions, but Chestnut was so amazing it's crazy.
Ektris
The cuckoo is somehow adorable and awesome, and for that it gets my vote.~|ET|~ E-T... Phone home. "He walks among us, but he is not one of us."
