johnny_s
An occupational therapist named Christina Stephens had her foot amputated last year. One of her co-workers jokingly suggested that she should build a prosthetic leg out of LEGO. Stephens took the comment seriously, and lo and behold, she created a working LEGO prosthetic. She can only walk short distances and it tends to pop off, but she is working on another model that will fix thise problems. You have to admire her creativity (and the fact that it works better than you might think). Full story here.
fishers64
This is neat, but you should probably report this to the news team by sending it to news@bzpower.com. Anyway, nice to see that she's moving on from her accident and using it to inspire creativity. Makuta of Time
EDIT: Wrong topic Now for this one. That's pretty cool what she did. Hope she makes a better one that doesn't pop off like that version. Edited July 4, 2013 by Flaredrick: the Sniper
