"LegoLeg"

An occupational therapist named Christina Stephens had her foot amputated last year. One of her co-workers jokingly suggested that she should build a prosthetic leg out of LEGO. Stephens took the comment seriously, and lo and behold, she created a working LEGO prosthetic. She can only walk short distances and it tends to pop off, but she is working on another model that will fix thise problems. You have to admire her creativity (and the fact that it works better than you might think).
