Waaaay back in the day there was an advertisement on the back of a Lego magazine (March-April 2001) advertising Tahu and Vakama as part of an upcoming line called 'Bionicle'. So, yeah, that was when I got my first look at a set. I fell in love pretty fast. Funnily enough, the original Tahu is the only pre-2008 canister set that I'm missing.

I probably recall seeing some on the shelves before, but never really paid attention until I got Hewkii Inika.
