From a cached version I found this (under the "Post Count" sub-section of "Posts" where the other forums are listed): Shops & Kits: This forum has a history of being a target for those seeking post inflation. Then there was this news report, where B6 says the S&K forum will be closed down: The Shops & Kits forum will be closed down. All shops will be moved to General Art (headed up by bonesiii) and all kits will go in Comics (helmed by Windrider). I figure the Compendium was edited because of that. Does that answer your question? =] Basically: it used to be a target for post count inflation, and now it's being closed down anyway.
