Marvel Rebirth: Discussion

Recommended Posts

This took a lot longer than expected but I hope it's good.

Name: Jack Raikov (Formally Jack Sears)

Codename: White Lightning

Age: 22

Gender: Make

Loyalties/Faction: Allied with X- Men but is solo

Power(S): Can harness the power of electricity and use it many different forms. He throws standard bolts of lightning. He can regain his energy by absorbing the electricity around his environment. His standard voltage is 150 volts, but can be charged to 400 volts for extreme measures.

Appearance: He’s a slightly pale skinned male with a fairly muscular build that you can’t really tell. His muscles just look normal and not make him looked ripped like most people who work out. He has ash blonde hair that almost covers his right eye, and left eye has a scar going down it. He has light blue eye color that complements the shade of blonde on his hair. He wears a black jacket that has a zipper on his left sleeve and one on the left side of his chest. He wears a dark denim blue jeans and special boots that have cut near the heel for a sword handle to attach on.

Weapons: Combat knife and SOCOM pistol (Given to him by S.H.I.E.L.D agent Marauder’s father)

Skills: Skilled sword fighting due to his time training with Samurai ancestors in Japan.

Personality: He’s really distant to people and really is not a conversation starter. He sometimes pushes people away due to his harsh attitude from years of being a child killer. He those though have a soft heart if you know how to talk to him and ask the right questions. He’s like an animal that can be tamed with the right way to tame the beast.

Weakness: When water touches electricity, it disperses and thus is his weakness like all those with electrical powers. When he was walking in Central Park one week before he killed his godfather, he tripped and fell into a fountain, which short-circuited him and almost caused him to die. He was about 14 years of age.

Bio: Jack didn't know much about his parents, but he also doesn't remember them at all. When he was six, they were killed by his godfather George. He was a notorious mobster who was also secretly the president of a large business corporation at time. At the age of 10, George asked one of his men to escort Jack back to his room after he eavesdropped on a conversation to clear out a local gang. When the man left with Jack, Jack struggled to get away from the man by twisting and turning. He then grabbed his face from sheer rage and shocked him to death by a 150 volt shock.

George saw potential in Jack as his secret weapon in his quest for power. For years he was his personal assassin, taking down corporate rivals and rival gang lords that are gaining too much ground in the criminal underworld or in the corporate business ladder. One week before he killed his god-father, he was walking down Central Park when he tripped on the pavement which was erected out of the ground by an inch. He fell into the water and his powers where gone, but his health was severe. It took a few minutes for Sears’ men to find him and return him to George who asked for a doctor who specialized in those with the X-gene. After he returned to full health, he confronted him atop of the building they were on. He asked him about his true parents, and he told him that he was the one who killed his parents; he was thrown in a rage and shoved him off the building which sent him falling 20 stories.

During his time in the X-Men, he trained to control his powers and not to use it to harm people. Though he broke his promise a year ago when he entered a confrontation in a diner, participated in a break out, and assisted in the resisting the HYDRA attack. Right before he left the mansion for a year, he found a picture of himself when he was a young assassin for George Sears. He burned the picture and set out to find who his parents really are.

Along the way, he went to Japan for two months to study the art of sword fighting since he was fascinated about the Samurai’s history. He trained with the descendants, who were skeptical in training an outsider, in learning the Bushido and the way of fighting the Samurai did. When he finished his training, he visited nearby Russia in maybe to find an answer in his parents.

It was there in which he met Marauder’s father, John. When he looked at Jack, he believed it was a Major in who he met long ago when he infiltrated Russia one year after Kennedy was assassinated. He told him about how he knocked him out and donned his clothes in order to pass by as him, and later met him again six years after he infiltrated Russia. He told him of his name, and later donned his last name of Raikov. During their eight months, they traveled Europe to find some more clues in finding who his parents are by searching for Ivan Raikov, his grandfather. When they couldn't find him in Europe, they suspected that he may be living in the states in New York City.

Spaced it out on the long written parts.

EDIT: Took out the grenade, blades, and static absorption. Also "Darkest Days"

@Jack; I'm going to have to ask you to read the common sense guide with regards to his powers, most notably, the section on real world physics. Electricity doesn't function as a blade or grenade. If you want to have powers that do that, you'll need to find something else. If you can offer a suitable explanation, the current state might be allowed. I'm also leery of letting him recharge with electricity given off by people. In addition, you did not include the phrase in your profile.@Those Asking for a Recap; The Institute is abuzz with activity in a variety of places, and is currently prepping for a party. Hydra is putting together a team to track some people down, ask Zyke for details, several SHIELD agents are at a safe house, a few more are talking on the Helicarrier. That basically sums up any major spots of activity. No major events have yet occurred.

On this eve, the thirtieth anniversary of that first colony, many are left to wonder; is the world fast approaching a breaking point?

New character for approval.

Name: Conrad Kaufmann

Codename: None

Age: 26

Gender: Male

Loyalties/Faction: Hydra

Power(S): Conrad is an illusionist. He specializes in one certain type of illusion which is what he calls an distraction. Usually this distraction creates an illusionary version of Conrad during a fight. The illusion version of him is then usually mowed down or ran through or killed by his enemies while the real Conrad is hidden by the short illusion and is able to slip away. The illusion only lasts for a moment or so before it vanishes.

Conrad can also possibly create an imaginary flock of birds out of nowhere, or perhaps a train that bursts out of the wall, any small illusion that can distract his opponent. He can't create entire illusionary environments, or in depth and mind tormenting hallucinations.

Appearance: Conrad has platinum blonde hair which he prefers to slick back in the 50's style with grease. He has two pale blue eyes and he is very thin and pale. Conrad usually wears a black trench-coat with the Hydra symbol on either arm. Beneath that he wears a pristine Hydra uniform.

Weapons: Two desert eagles he keeps holstered on either hip. Also a large combat knife sheathed on his leg.

Skills: Conrad is pretty handy with his distraction illusions, skilled with his pistols, also skilled interrogator.

Personality: Conrad can be described as cruel. He is not truly evil, falling more towards neutral but that doesn't change the face that he is cruel. He cares little for anyone except himself. He has a very high opinion of Hydra and their goals. He is quite loyal to them and will do anything in his power to see that Hydra is successful.

Conrad can be charming when he wants to be. He has a relaxing smile and is fairly attractive, however underneath that calm demenour he is always planning, always thinking of something possibly sinister.

Weakness: Being so thin Conrad isn't very physically strong, neither is he particularly good at unarmed combat.

Bio: Conrad was born a mutant in the streets of Germany. He was discovered by Hydra at a young age. Instead of killing him they took him in. Conrad was then trained by Hydra and as he got older he joined their ranks.

He became increasingly loyal to Hydra and has fought for them many times. He has also developed a cruel personality and enjoys interrogating prisoners for Hydra. He took part in the New York invasion a year ago and was able to leave the city with his life. Since then he has returned to the Hydra base where he has waited patiently for Hydra's next move.

Still working on a few character concepts. They should be up sometimes over break.

Feels good to have two days off from college, gotta say.

I believe you find life such a problem because you think there are the good people and the bad people. You are wrong, of course. There are, always and only, the bad people, but some of them are on opposite sides.

Yeah. Insta-kills can get old.

Much better to allow your enemy a chance at victory.

So you can watch the hope die in their eyes.

Thank you Mr. Anti-Spiral for your enlightening comments on the complete and utter destruction of everything.

Nice to know I'm doing my job right.

If I'm not somehow causing human misery, the various devils I've made deals with come to take my soul and all that.

And hopefully get eaten by my Shoggoths. But I'm not eager to try my luck there. :P

Meanwhile, Basilisk, I do believe Mr. Picker was the last in our little meeting to do the talking thing.

We will remember - Skies may fade and stars may wane; we won't forget

And your light shines bright - yes so much brighter shine on

We will remember - Until the skies will fall we won't forget

We will remember

We all shall follow doom

So, are you calling for dirty deeds, done dirt cheap at exorbitant prices?

I'm sure we can come up with something.

We will remember - Skies may fade and stars may wane; we won't forget

And your light shines bright - yes so much brighter shine on

We will remember - Until the skies will fall we won't forget

We will remember

We all shall follow doom
