Klak
If I wasn't looking at these pics. I would have never believed it. Then again. I'm still having a hard time -with- the proof. It looks like if Bionicle and Exo-Force had kids, and whether that sounds good or not is up to you. Agreed, Based Raptor. They look pretty cool so far. fishers64
That the fig parts are unique should have been apparent from many of the pics, particularly the package for 44021. The only pre-existing minifigure parts the Hero Factory figs use are skeleton bodies under their armor and classic minifigure heads under their helmets. The arms and legs are new parts, with connection points for rockets (in Breez's case) and communications devices (in Evo's and Stormer's cases).I was surprised that Evo Walker not only isn't humanoid, but isn't even based on a humanoid torso beam. I had expected it to use a 5x6 or 7x9 torso beam horizontally, but nope, it's completely custom and made from assorted beams.I'm not sure how to feel about this. While I love non-traditional builds (like Thornraxx), I think a rigid torso beam would have made the set a lot sturdier. I feel like a lot of parts of this set will be wobbly, specifically the cockpit, which is attached to the back leg rather than to the "body". I like the unique fig parts - I think it's another reason to get the sets IMO - new MOCing parts is a plus. As for the Evo walker, it's supposed to "walk", so I imagine the flexible design is supposed to assist in that regard. The cockpit stability might be a matter of weight - I have a couple HF sets and I note that the joints don't frequently sag. Putting a certain amount of weight on them tends to slowly turn the joints downward, though, but I'm not sure that the cockpit is that heavy. We'll see. Lenny7092
Hmm... In the new Hero Factory 2014 sets, the tiny rhino-like monsters look like the tiny Visorak from the Bionicle 2005 playsets, the giant rhino-like monsters look like Kaiju, and the Heroes' mechs look like the Lego Exo-Force mechs. Quote I like Lego, Bionicle, and Hero Factory!
