Takua: Be awesome.

[Takua]: That rock outcropping way out in the sea kinda looks like fingers. Notice this. Now call it "Three Finger Island," and claim it as a territory for your kingdom of sand.

Takua: walk to the cliff to your left, and look at that sand circle with the white rock and that black rock. Seems suspicious.

It appears as if it will occupy at least a few minutes of your time.

Takua: that device on the side of the cliff opposite the circle looks interesting. Seems as if it will probably distract you for several more minutes.

[Takua]: Continue to ponder about this strange cliff that popped up into your head.

[Maku]: Obtain the attention of that strange red and yellow matoran with the blue Pakari that doesn't appear to fit right on his head.

[Takua]: Be distracted by a blue matoran who has just called out, then be distracted by the stairs on that cliff behind her.

Plot: Advance.

Takua: Stop goofing around.

Vee: Advance the plot.

Takua: Decide that an awesome person like yourself should only wear his mask for a minute at time, every ten minutes. Furthermore, decide that awesome persons like sealing and activating mysterious canisters and that you should do so as well  (after cliff-diving, of course.)

Aukat: After cliff-diving, explore the watery depths (shadows don't need to breath, after all.)

Maku: After cliff-diving, sail to Po-Wahi. Afterall, the Po-Matoran could help your village, and that Pina Colada invigorated you, so you're not too exhausted.

Portal: Realize that you've been COMPLETELY SILLY and had FORGOTTEN ABOUT THIS.

Aukat: Sneak around, looking for objects to take.

Aukat: Steal everything that isn't tied down.

Aukat: Yes, even that.

Takua: Learn to become a sandbender.

Oh my gosh I can't believe I didn't realize that this was still happening. =O

Takua: Punch Aukat.

Aukat: Punch Takua back.

Aukat is still intangible.

He also doesn't seem to be very aggressive at all.

Maku: Slap them both.

RrMJCjJ.png

Aukat is still intangible.

Takua, however, has been successfully slapped.

You feel strangely satisfied.

Maku: Explain your dilemma.

f8M9t2e.png

You explain that your village needs help.

It was attacked by a monster, and everyone got trapped in a hut that fell beneath the waters.

You say you should be able to get there quickly using your boat, but you'll need help.

FXRqywF.png

OH HEY LOOK THERE'S A THING LET'S GO OVER THERE

WAIT WHAT

3GaJH4X.png

You walk away from that strange chattery girl talking about some sort of floating water village. Pffft, like that could ever happen. Water doesn't float!

You saw some rocky stuff over by where that guy you threw sand at was earlier.

Which guy? The shadowy guy.

What do you mean, 'which shadowy guy'?

The guy that was -

You're just going to stop explaining things before your head starts to hurt.

Ow. Already is.

---

What will you do?

---

Wow! Finally got this done, with all these panels.

Anyways! I'm going to /try/ to pull off a weekly comic. Hopefully sometime on the weekends. I would have had this done last Sunday, but all sorts of life stuff was thrown at me. I'm going to do my best to stick with this schedule, but I'm only human.

I fiddled a bit with how Aukat looks mid-comic to test things... I think he'll look much better now, but due to how I accidentally saved it I couldn't edit out his head-light on the first couple of panels.

Maku: Stealthily employing your martial arts skills, relieve Takua of consciousness. Take his prone form, stuff it in the canister, seal the canister, and attach it to your boat. Then sail to Po-Wahi to seek aid for your village (Takua can be used as a handy expendable, if necessary.)

Takua: Dream of a pretty blue Matoran (whose name, you strangely recall, is Gavla) playing a dulcimer, and singing of Mount Ihu.

Aukat: Realize that, as you are a shadow, you can expand or contract your form as you please. Go to the edge of Ta-Wahi and grow. Grow so large that you not only cover all of Ta-Wahi, but all of Ta-Koro as well (those poor Ta-Matoran won't know what hit'em.)

[Maku]: Forget the colorful wacko and bring his handsome shadow to your village instead.

[Aukat]: The blue matoran beckons you. Somewhat forcefully. You should comply.

[Takua]: The burnt, mutilated forest looks delighting. Go there.

Why is it that whenever I start to do really well on a comic series, life always gets in my face and keeps me down?

I've been so busy with planning things, trips, housework, curriculum issues, and overall work that I've been extremely drained of a creative drive.

I feel really bad about this, everyone - sincerely I do. I apologize for letting you down, but I'm going to get the next post up as soon as I can. Already got it scripted out, and I should be incorporating some of my favorite ACs for this round. Hopefully it should be entertaining, but for now I need to kind of get my life train back on the rails so I can get back to this.

So, yeah! Feel free to give your ten cents as to the situation, encouragement, discussion, whatever. No more ACs are needed for now, but I sincerely appreciate how many have come in since my last OOC post. Thank you so much to everyone who's stuck along with this comic so far. Only four pages and we've already had quite a journey!

I hope that we can get right back in the swing of things very soon. Sincerely... well, me. Were you expecting someone else?

So I'll be gone until about the 30th due to the annual family camping trip.

Meaning no comics, or likely work on comics, until then.

I have the script planned out for the next one, I've finished half of the necessary images.

However, due to packing, I just haven't had time to finish... this!

Enjoy your teaser, ladies and gents.

By the Great Beings...

This has got to be the best trailer I've seen.

There's so much information, yet it doesn't spoil anything.

It's so promising.

Aukat: Try using dark magic to become an independent Matoran.

The sad part is I know exactly what it is, but I am forbidden to tell. *evil laugh*

Have fun guessing. |:3

Are you the Makuta?

-----

Maku: Lasso Takua with some impromptu kelp. I don't even know if you can call kelp impromptu, but whatever.

Maku: Promise Takua that this quest actually gives decent exp.

She says her quest gives good EXP and gets you all the skill points.

You're not sure what either of those things are, but they sound important!

Takua: Help the strange blue matoran.

Aukat: What is the Makuta?

Kapura: If you do not know what is the Makuta, then I guess you are not it, That is good. Jala says I have to be careful of the Makuta when I am in the forest. He says the Makuta is everywhere. He means Rahi. Monsters. Things you can see. But I know the Makuta is here now, in these burnt trees, and in the dead soil. All of these things were destroyed by the Makuta, but the Makuta never left them. That is how he becomes strong. That is what the Makuta does. He destroys things.

Maku: Explain the disaster to the strange av-ta-matoran.

Aukat: The Makuta sounds pretty important, whoever he is. And since being a shadow carries very little status, it might be easier to ingratiate oneself with the natives by pretending to be someone with status. They don't know what he looks like, so you might as well take advantage of their credulity. And hey, "Makuta" is almost an anagram of "Aukat." Maybe there's some sort of connection between you and him. Maybe you are the Makuta. Takua really wasn't too sure of who he was. Maybe he's the Atukam.

Kapura: Hurry (slowly) back to Ta-Koro...

Maku: Takua seems pretty naive. He shouldn't have to die, and hopefully he won't, but hey, it's a tough universe. He's quite colorful, and not nearly as important as you are, so he'd make a great distraction for the Tarakava attacking your village. Explain the plan to him, and should he agree (and why shouldn't he? He wants XP, after all) take him back to Ga-Koro with you to put the plan in action.

Takua: You're going on a quest. You don't remember much, but you feel that if are to be a questor, you should really acquire a 2.2-bio pole. You just know you're going to need one.
