Friar Tuck

Recommended Posts

IC Mayhaka"I can carry you over mountains and sees, but the things that dwell in this darkness I cannot face, and even I need rest sometimes." He manipulated a iron piece to cature some beetles in the sand and roasted then in the fire. "Want some? It'll help you gain a little more strenght, I guess you'll need it tomorrow." He wispered back, offering her a roasted beetle.

IC: Dynra

Fearing for his own sanity in the presence of such saccharine drivel, Dynra escaped back into the pub to stand with Tayis and the two newcomers. "We don't have to greet you two with punches, do we? I'm already bored of that."

IC: Rynekk - The Fowadi

De-Toa, folks: there's nothing you can hide from them.

"I've been better, sir," I answered honestly (since, really, it'd be pointless to lie), "But I think we have more pressing concerns than my well-being at the present time, wouldn't you say, sir?"

OOC: So, this is interesting. Dual and I had a disagreement about the legality of some of his movements. Due to this we're going to due what I believe should have been done. These are the agreed terms.

IC: A few Guardsmen, (a Ga-Toa and Le-Toa, to be precise) came up behind Tera when she was talking. Right then Mayhaka started to move, only to be blocked by the flat of Tera's blade in the opening of the door. "Where do you think you're going? Your friend needs medical attention, and I'm not done with you."

IC Mayhaka"Thats exactly why I'm leaving you fool, can't you see? And to be correct, we are finished." He spoke bending the Metal in the sword to render it useless. "So if you excuse me, I've got a friend to save." He walted trough keeping a small bit of attention to the guardsman. He didn't put away his EPS nor his shield, this could get dangerous.

IC MayhakaIn the second the sword was bendes Mayhaka had already passed. "I, am going to Ko-Koro tobgo see an old friend of mine, he's possibly the only person who can help." He spoke, walking even further away. "I've got no time for this, little Toa, go find someone else to annoy.

IC: The Ga-Toa blocked his path, summoning water to her hands. Tera sighed. No one ever does things the easy way. "You're foolish to think you can make it all the way to Ko-Wahi with a Toa in her condition. Stop."

I assume you want my quick-help?

Yeah, just keep the paralyze venom coming.

IC Mayhaka"Fun, yet another two fools. Sorry I will not obey you. Team attack!" He shouted summoning the remaining two members of the team outside the building. He putted Zeita down first and sliced her away of the battlefieldIn a sled of iron. "So, who wants to be smashed first?"

IC: Tera, NPCs

Tera resisted facemasking. The Ga-Toa shot a small, non-damaging stream of water at Mayhaka, backing up quickly as she did. "Last chance to surrender," the Ve-Toa said in a gruff voice, unhooking a wooden and stone spear from his back.

IC Mayhaka"Surrender, are ya joking?" He smiled, preparing his warhammer. "Wooden weapons, quite nice, excet they tend to break really quick. He fired sharp shards of metal from his armor towards the Ga-Toa and spinned around facing the Bo-Toa, swinging his warhammer to launch him a few 100 meters away.

IC: NPC, Tera

The Ve-Toa had to jump back, the hammer barely missing his face. He was lucky. The Toa hadn't gotten too close. "For everyone but Ve-Toa." He jabbed the weapon at Mayhaka's armor where the shards had come from, the spear's reach more than adequate. His powers would keep the wood from breaking, even if it would with his strength.

The Ga-Toa, meanwhile, used a combination of her Garai and a water jet to stop the metal and slam it into the ground.

Tera herself sent a stone layer to creep around Mayhaka's feet, binding him if he didn't move.

IC: Tayis

Tayis had the feeling Mayhaka's confrontational approach would likely be a cause for serious concern sooner or later, and this was just the sort of thing that should be avoided. They were all Toa, and generally Toa were on the same side. Diplomacy was probably still possible, a guard's purpose isn't to draw out combat after all, but Mayhaka was a little trigger happy when somebodies life was in danger.

Seeing the stone about to form around Mayhaka's feet, Tayis used his power over gravity to float his fellow Toa out of the layers reach.

"Can we all just calm down?" he asked hopefully. "I reckon we can reach an amicable agreement here?"

IC MayhakaThe spear hit mayhaka's armor but didn't take any effect, "Dude, what are ya thinking, that wood could penetrate metal, ha I don't think so." He said jokely not noticing the earth layers at his feet*Taips float me out*"I agree" He said still floating "tell me since when guardmembers attack innocents, since when do you attack wounded, if you sunk so low you're not worth the title of Toa anymore."

IC: "Innocence. HA!" The Ve-Toa laughed, pulling his spear back quickly, a few chips of metal floating off with it. "You're the one who-"

The Ga-Toa interrupted. "Texin, please. What he means is that you aren't innocent. Fighting and trying to kill anyone is against the law, until they're proven guilty. Did we attack your wounded friend? I hardly think so."

Tera nodded, the stone returning to her. "Ronah is right."

IC Mayhaka"Shouldn't you then first prove me guilty?" Mayhaka smiled, enjoying floating in mid air. There are Matoran all around us and there were Matoran inside that pub all can claim us unguilty and all can claim you attacked us. Not so smart ain't it, now can you let us go before Hewkii learns about this incident with 3 guardmembers attacking some lonlely Toa without reason?"OOC Taips Ceecee, wait with attacking.

IC: Texin resisted the urge to pound Mayhaka into the ground right there. Ronah glaring at him with a look that plainly said 'I'd like to smash too, but we gotta take the high road' helped. She was the one who spoke. "Look, we did nothing apart from spray you with an ounce of water before you tried to bust me up with iron and kill Texin with a hammer. Before the water, I recall, you yelled 'WHO WANTS TO BE SMASHED FIRST?'."

The look of disbelief on one of the nearby villager's face was priceless.

IC: Zieta. "Look" She said. "We're sorry... we... messed up your pub." Her voice was quite and low. "We... have... important business that needs seeing... too" Tha pain was rising up inside her. She could go any minute now if she didn't get help and this other team were holding her up.

IC - NPC Medic:A male Po-Toa, with a mask of healing carved into a Miru bolted around the corner. The black coat he was wearing held the symbol of the Po-Koro Guard."You called! Who's injured?"Upon seeing Zieta, he jumped into action. "Stay down, and calm down. Let me do my job." he ordered. His mask glowed gently as he tapped into it's power. "This won't save you, but I can control your pain. Call me Quert."

IC Mayhaka"Possibly, possibly" He said as he dropped himself with his mask. "I surrender, take me too Hewkii so I can explain" he said absorbing his armor. "I did nothing wrong you fool, words are not deeds, take me to hewkii and see."

IC: Tera crossed her arms as Ronah levitated the mask to herself, stone handcuffs forming around Mayhaka's wrists. "No one goes to Hewkii currently. The Turaga assassination leaves us no room for mistakes. You go to the highest Guard member. Colonel Tillian has disappeared, and Lieutenant Naona has gone after the assassins. That means me, unfortunately."

OOC: You don't want to go to hewkii. Remember what happened with Jaller?

IC: Tayis

"Well then, I can only apologise for the damage done here. The fight wasn't our fault, and we've paid for damages. I'm also sorry that things escalated when you were just doing your job. Mayhaka perhaps overreacted, he only had the best interests of his friend in mind, and Zieta is seriously injured."

IC: Dynra

"If we're adding stuff to the record, can I just say I had no involvement in the battle besides from stopping the Skakdi from goring my fr-...Acquaintance, here. I'd have done a little more but it seems some people claim they have standards." Dynra rolled his eyes and cast a glare amongst the group. Sure, he didn't care whether the Skakdi lived or died but you can't just interrupt someone when they're in the mood for murder. That and Mayhaka's grating claims to the moral highground, yet eagerness to lunge into battle.

IC: Tera pointed at Dynra. "Looked like attempted murder." Before he could say anything, she continued. "The Guard will go after the Skakdi, and bring him in for questioning. We won't make a verdict without seeing both sides." The Po-Toa gestured to Zieta. "We'll stabilize her here, but if you're really so insistent on Ko-Wahi we'll send an escort with you, make sure you don't try anything funny. Then you come back until trial. Got it?"

IC MayhakaHe spoke loudly so any Matoran could hear him: "We are maybe not the purest of beings, I guess no-one really is these day, but we remain Toa, protectors of good. And that is exactly what we did today we fought evilto save inocent lives, and one of us even sacrifised her own well-being for that. And yet you want to trial us, and yet you want us inprisoned and yet you do not help. Then I wonder who's the real Toa here, then I wonder who's really corrupt. A real Toa would not think to attack a being carrying a wounded friend on his back, a real Toa would help, every second we talk my friend can die, we can save her, and yet you don't let us. We saved lives today and yet we're accused of murder. Then I wonder who's the real Toa here, then I wonder who's corrupt."The Matoran all around him looked shocked towards the Guardmembers, and some even rushed with herbs towards Zeita in the hope they could help."They see the truth, and so should you."

IC:Or at least, that's what would have happened. In actuality, the Matoran raised a few eyebrows at Mayhaka, and shook their heads. One did run forward with a few herbs, which he quickly pressed into the medic's hand, before returning to the crowd. Mayhaka's spectacular declaration was met with an annoyed weariness, indicative of the times. These Matoran had been invaded several times over the past two months, and each time, their village had grown a little weaker. The Rahkshi had caused extreme damage, damage that had only barely been repaired when the INfernavika had struck, annihilating much of their military. The worst blow had come mere days ago, with the assassination of Turaga Onewa. The heart of Po-Koro gone, the light of hope snuffed out as easily as a candle. The people were hardened, and they looked to their protectors for support now more than ever. In a world where there homes could be destroyed, their leader killed, where else could they look? Those foolishly seeking to be heroes were nothing new. The Maasi, they had appeared in Ga-Koro, and quickly proven to be far more dangerous than they were heroic. And these new Toa were nothing more than that. Beings with delusions of grandeur, so hopelessly out of touch with reality.

"Kid," Texin said, speaking up after a moment of silence. "You're more the fool than I thought. The fact is, you're criminal masquerading as heroes. Yeah, you tried to fight a Skakdi, But he got away, didn't he? And not only that, you caused property damage in the process.""What do you even know about heroism? If you're such big heroes, where were you when the Rahkshi attacked? Where were you when those pirates destroyed guard HQ, and kidnapped the Turaga? Where were you when Onewa was killed? Nowhere to be found. But I know where I've been. I've been right here, doing my job. Making sure that the people of this village are safe. Not just from attackers, but from fools like you."

Texin was a familiar face in the village. Sarcastic though he was, he'd been a guard for years. He'd personally spoken with and helped most of the villagers present, and Ronah and Tera were much the same. They and the rest of the guard were the dependable foundation on which the village had been built.

"You want corruption? Go take a look in Onu-Koro. But don't even dare to sully the name of my village. In case you hadn't noticed, you attacked us first. We tried to let you give in peacefully. And yet you assaulted those of us who really have much more important things to do, like trying to get this place back on its feet. And you know what? Even after that, we're the ones helping your friend. In case you hadn't noticed, we have a perfectly serviceable hospital right here in Po-Koro. So even after all the attacks, both verbal and physical, on my village and my comrades, we're still helping you. Are you what a real Toa looks like? Because if so, I'll stick with being me.""What the karzahni, "hero"?"

OOC: Hello. Texin is, in point of fact, going to be becoming a PC soon. Mine, to be precise. So I've taken control of him.

IC Mayhaka"Where they were?" He poined towards his friends, I don't know, but I wasn't here, simply because I was in Onu-Koro trailing a criminal. I know your losses, I know your pain, and that's why we should not fight no, and that's why we should unite against the Makuta, unite against evil. We all hate the Makuta, why do we fight eachother then. I beg your pardon if I hurted anyone, sometimes I can be a little foolish. But now a life is at risk, a life of a good Toa, and neither of us should want to see her die." He broke his chains by maniputaling his armor. And repaired the wall of the bar they broke. "We should not fight eachother, but focus on evil, let us forgive eachother and go to Ko-Koro to try to save my dying friend." He raised his hand towards Texon. "We should not fight, please forgive me."

OOC: First of all, Matrix, I should point out that Mayhaka shouldn't have enough EE to repair the entire bar.

IC:"No.""Know why?" Texin's amber eyes narrowed, filled with rage. "Because words are just that. I don't judge people based on words. I judge from actions. And the only actions you've shown here are destruction, and a willingness to hurt my comrades just because you don't want to pay for your own mistakes.""You're childish, irresponsible, and you show all the signs of being a bipolar wannabe hero. You want to be that which you do not understand." Vines sprang from the ground, proceeding to begin to wrap themselves tightly around Mayhaka's body. "You're not going anywhere. You're going to pay for your transgressions.""You don't understand what this village has gone through, and don't even try and say you do. We won't let your friend die, of that I assure you. I have nothing personally against her, and of the lot of you, her crimes seem to be the least. We have a perfectly serviceable hospital. And if a Mask of Healing can't deal with what ails her, there is next to nothing on this island that can."

OOC: Mayhaka is far too weakened by his mask to do anything of the like. Stone is not wet paper.

IC: Tera stayed silent, content to let Texin talk. Artakha knows he needed to get this out.

Ronah spoke, her clear tone a sharp contrast to her comrade's. "I suggest you agree with Tera's bargain. We won't hurt any of you, but every second you spend resisting the law is a second your friend stays hurt."
