IC: Kuhrin"We could just send an invitation for them to meet us somewhere in the jungle, with some excuse like one of us is disabled or something. Then they come with some caution just in case it was a trick, but generally would be expecting a friendly face. Then we ambush them according to plan." Kuhrin suggested.

IC: The MafiaThe Mafia entered Ko-Koro. He had his axe with him, but he couldn't find the other five. He looked around, wondering who might have taken them. He decided to ask a shopkeeper and entered a shop (Nahu's shop)
IC (Nahu):"Hello, traveler! What can I get for you? We have weapons and armor, nessesities in today's life. What were you looking for? We have a discount on sheilds today." Edited by Toa Of Virtues

IC (Nahu):Nahu studied the axe carefully, and saw that it was one of the set. He had to have it."No, I have not, but it looks old and rusted. You should trade it in for a bigger, better weapon. You wont be able to fight anything in that rusty old thing. I may have just the thing to replace it..."

IC: Nameless Skakdi

As I listened to the talk about luring Madrihk out, an idea struck me. "What if a spy was sent into the ILS, acting as if he wanted to join? He would then be close to Madrihk, and he could get Madrihk to come out of the village, claiming he needed Madrihk to see something. At the same time, we could be near, ready to ambush."

"I pitea the fool!"

IC: Ira"That's a good idea," responded Ira. "Or maybe we could forgoe the luring out; just plant an assassin in there to gain his trust and then backstab him when he's not looking. Or maybe we could use a Kualsi user to zap in and out of the village, eliminating the leader in just a couple of seconds."

IC (Karemo and Kitano): "Yes, there are many ways and stratergies we might use against the Island Liberation Squad" Kitano stated coldly. "But enough blurting out ideas. What we need is one, well-crafted plan to bring them to their knees. While that last one is rather tempting," he tapped the three jewels within his mask, "it would be foolish to fight the ILS on their own ground. Their village will be well defended, and doubly so if they catch any hint of our coming. No, better to draw them out and choose the time and place of battle ourselves, where we can engineer the situation to our own advantage.""Kitano makes a good point" Karemo added. "Setting an ambush will always be more favourable than assailing their walls".

IC (Echelon)Echelon stood, allowing the conversation to take its course. Eventually, the brothers Echelon had found in Po-Wahi spoke up, advocating ambushing the ILS rather than attacking their village directly."This is true," the Necromancer said. "Pala-Koro is fortified, and they will probably be strengthening it further. We must set a trap for them, one so cunning not even this Madrihk will expect it. It will help if we have agents within the Squad itself."

IC: XerovThey're discussing this even though I already made a suggestion? "I stand with what I said before. We make it look like we're attacking somewhere else to lure them out. Once we've taken down any scouts, and possibly Madrihk himself, we can move on to taking down the rest of the ILS. If we somehow trick most of them out at once, we'll be outnumbered. Attacking Pala-Koro itself would be made difficult, as I would assume it has only one entrance, which they could protect. However, it also means that there's only one way for them to get out. I say that we siege them."

IC (Echelon)Echelon's fingers tapped metallically against his staff."Staging an incident to lure them out is possible," Echelon. "However, consider the fact that they will be prepared for combat. Better to arrange a meeting of some sort, one that will not look like an attack. Or at least, if we do stage an attack, we ought to make it seem small-scale. Then they will be caught unprepared and outnumbered."

IC: Xerov"They may come out armed, but we wouldn't be there. They can put out the fires, and we can wait in the shadows and get rid of them while they're busy. And if all of them -- or, at least, most of them -- do come out, we can take Pala-Koro while they're gone and then pick them off in safety."

IC: (Kino Iho)I had been lost in thought mainly because I was thinking about how to handle the situation. I wasn't expecting Echelon to return so soon, neither did I really like the guy that much. It was clear that he viewed everyone as expendable, I wasn't expendable but he definitely was, it was rather easy to fall out of Makuta's favor, and when people fell out of his favor. They fell hard."Yes, I'm leading the expedition so to speak, follow me, apparently we have more plans to discuss with our advisor." I said, rolling my eyes on the word advisor.Pulling the hood over my head and the cover over my face I made my way back to the main group. I wasn't going to give Echelon any benefits over me, including seeing my face. Outing me to the ILS, I wouldn't put it past him. I walked to meet the main group as I heard them talking about me. Already forgetting my name that was good. It was good to be forgettable in a sense. The girl that everyone kind of glazed over was usually the one the didn't expect to bury a knife to the hilt in their back. I would talk to thieves in private, I didn't need Echelon claiming it was his idea."Someone call for me? Kind of insulting if you refer me as "that women" or "that girl"." I giggled playfully, taking a pouting stance. Hard to show it on my face. Suspicious, not really, most Makuta followers were unstable. I just looked like one that was able to hold herself together rather well.

IC: Skaaraa"HELLO?" Skaaraa said to Kino Iho in exasperation. "ARE YOU LEADING THE EXPEDITION TO XA-KORO?"IC: The Mafia"I don't think you'd want it either," he said. "You seem to be a little too eager to claim this. Are you an antique collecter or something?"IC: Ira"We would only be able to eliminate the minor members and the ones that are out and about at the moment with that strategy," Ira said to Echelon. "We wouldn't be able to get the ones that stay at home. However, if we cause some kind of disturbance," triggering his volitak and creating a small, harmless burst of fire to hint at what he wanted to do before turning back visible. " We may be able to expel some of them and pick off a few more."

IC: (Kino Iho)"Yes!" I growled back at the annoying being that was following me. "I had already answered your question. I said yes, but in the event that I am busy with other preparations one of you will be leading it so to speak. Preferably someone with experience with Xa-Koro. Now Echelon and my new friends, what did you need me for again?" I sighed, turning my head back towards Echelon, arms crossed.

IC: (Kino Iho)"You honestly think I would tell you her name, her element, what she looks like? You think I would put my contacts at risk" I said with a sneer. "I don't know if you realize but having that information out there can be dangerous for my agents. Or..dangerous for you, if you try to sell them out. Especially given my one friend in Xa-Koro." I didn't try this person, far too many questions for their own good. "Unfortunately I do know her position and it isn't very high, but she has made friends with at least one of them. I'm sure if you gave her more time, she could embed herself even further in the ILS and pose an ever great threat to them and an even greater ally to us. Or you can rush it, destroying her cover and mess up her plans, which in turn are our plans. She's also trustworthy, which is saying something as far as spies go." I sighed."I'm sorry my friend, I should have answered your question sooner and I apologize for that. As soon as we can wrap up these plans we can move out. So I have a question to all of you, how many of you, are extremely familiar with Xa-Koro? Cause in my absence, one of you will need to be a leader of sorts "to maintain control" and handle objectives in the region."

IC (Echelon)Echelon glared at Ira."Don't be a fool," he snapped. "Deep-cover operatives' identities must remain secret. Just as we have spies among their ranks, they may have the same in ours."In fact, this Toa is acting very suspiciously himself...Echelon turned to Kino."Since you never provided me with your name," he pronounced, "I have little other way to refer to you. I simply wish to confirm that you do have an agent in the ILS, yes?"Echelon surveyed the Toa as he spoke. Interesting. She seemed to wish to hide her own identity just as much as those of her agents. Secrets were knowledge, and knowledge was power, and power - well, that was the name of the game. He didn't trust this woman; she clearly had her own plans and ambitions - and she certainly wasn't sharing nearly all she knew.

IC: (Kino Iho)I could see the look in his eyes, he didn't trust me, and I didn't trust him, currently I felt it was the only thing we had in common with each other. Though I my eyes raised in interest when he had came to my aid. Well he definitely was intelligent enough to leave my 'agents' be. Perhaps it was an attempt to win me over. Wouldn't work, I expected a knife in my back when it would be convienent. Whereas I needed Echelon alive so he could unite the followers and then he could be replaced any time after that. Perhaps with a follower who would dance to my tune much easier."My name is Kino Iho, Echelon. I apologize for my behavior earlier, a man of such deeds deserves proper respect. As for your question, I do have that agent. She's just not in the position we need her, if she could get close to one of the deputies perhaps she could set my plan in motion. You see I was thinking she would have them turn on each other. Plant evidence that one of their men is not who they say they are. Continue this, slander the group. Get evidence out to the people. They can lose the people's favor just as easily as they earned it. A lesson we should keep in mind." I curtsied slightly. It was supposed to come off as a sign of submission, it was my hopes that his ego would outstep him. If I could convince Echelon that I would dance to his tune, then I could get closer. While having one of these other followers dance to my tune, groom them to replace and control them like the marionettes on string that they were.

IC: XerovAs I listen to Echelon speak, something clicks in my mind.Suddenly, I'm standing in this building again, off to the side. I see myself standing beside Echelon, and I see him give his speech. There is a gleam in his eyes, and in most of the others' too. There are only two pairs that don't shine with delight at the thought of Makuta's followers uniting. One set is my own. The other...I look back on the memory again, examine it, look at every detail. Yes, it's true -- I was right. The other Matoran, she's missing the gleam too. What does this mean? Perhaps she's like me. Perhaps she wasn't all that interested, or was faking a lack of interest. Or perhaps Echelon was right. Perhaps there is a spy among us...But what do I do now? Do I voice my concerns? No. If she is a spy, or if she shares the same beliefs as me, that in theory they have the right idea but that in practice they are destructive, with a complete disregard for the lives of their allies and enemies alike, then she could be a helpful ally if something goes wrong. There's also the possibility that I'm wrong, that I'm overthinking this. Either way, I'm going to keep an eye on her.I'm back with everyone else now. No-one will have noticed that I drifted away -- I do it all the time, now.OOC: And the second League spy is given away by the fact that she didn't look happy... :P

Ic: The wet gravel crunched under the boots of a muddied and traveled man as he trekked through the mountains of Ko-Wahi. The snow melted rapidly there, hitting scree and dirt already soaked from the runoff from above in the actual mountains -- there, things were chilly but wet. It wasn't something the man was not used to, in fact he had been doing a lot of traveling lately. He scurried back and forth from meeting to meeting, all of varying company but all very important to him, much like the one he was walking into.He was dressed in his usual black overcoat, dirty at the ends and splattered with the soils of the earth all over. There were not many signs of true affluence, and to a passerby he may have seemed to be a dignified commoner, particularly when he was without escort, like then. A set of earmuffs sheltered his temples with fluffy caps, but they did not serve to protect his head from the cold.True to his intel, he found the shrine to the Makuta that sometimes served as a gathering place for followers of the Dark One, like it did right then. It was seemingly out-of-place, a rectangular shed that held little in the way of worship, though it did feature a simple shrine within its bare walls. Ambages swung the door open and stepped inside, letting gravity slowly shut the entrance after him as the hinge creaked. For a while, he just stood there, silently, looking at all the dignitaries that were assembled within the confines. From the looks of it, tensions had risen considerably, though that was to be expected among a motley crew of Makuta acolytes. He was very sure he would be an unknown there. He was not connected to any Makuta follower, and those he did know were not likely to be there. He was an architect who either traveled or was in his home of solitude; hardly a visible patron of any art. His anonymity was a powerful weapon that gave him the element of surprise. But he was not there to kill anyone; not physically, anyway. He was there instead to deliver an oration... and a choice.

IC (Echelon)Echelon slowly raised an eyebrow. Flattery? He hadn't realised just how much of a strutting fool Iho thought he was. All the same, he nodded to her point."Perhaps a...political approach would work," he remarked. "However, such an approach is risky, especially since it negates any opportunity for a more aggressive attack. The moment the people realise we are attacking the ILS their favour will swing back to the Squad."Echelon's head turned as the door opened and a Matoran walked through. Echelon disguised his recognition of the Matoran perfectly.Cultured Gentry. Name? Ambages. Occupation? Hmmm...Architect, that was it. Interesting that a member of the Gentry should come here. Perhaps they've sent him as an envoy. But what for, I wonder?

IC: (Kino Iho)He didn't bite, how unfortunate. I would have to replace him at some point. I flattered him honestly, there was at least a bit of honest admiration, but he didn't even buy that. What a shame. I had noticed another being at the door. "The political approach is the smart approach because if you can convince them that Mata Nui has abandoned them and that their favorite ILS is making a power grab, than we can come in looking like their saviors and this island will fall to Makuta and be raised under his control. Or you make a terrible decision and wage a military campaign. I honestly hope you're not doing that." I sighed, before turning to the new person."Another? May I ask how we can help a traveler like you?" Kino asked.

IC: CimondListening to the others speak, Cimond suddenly remembered why he had always tried to stay away from other Makuta followers in the past. Because they're nasty violent psychopaths. I need to get away from these people as soon as I can. He finally spoke up. "Uhh.. Excuse me. If you need an ambassador I could possibly fit the job. Because you know, I'm not likely to lash out and start killing people."

Ic: Ambages took note of those who spoke... and didn't, and he knew that he had arrived at the perfect moment to deliver his ultimatum. "There is no way you can help me, Wolf, but there are lots of ways I can help you." He had their attention. "For an example, I can tell you that the ideas of cunning politics and strategic luring are terrible and will not garner you any real victory. What you need to do is attack the Island Liberation Squad directly."

IC:"Why?" Feongulf said, breaking the silent comtemplation she had held while she observed the others lay out their plans. She nodded in agreement with the red-armored De-Toa. "A full out attack on a group many times our size is a good idea? Sorry, but keeping our heads attached to our shoulders sounds like it should be a priority."She raised an eyebrow, narrowing the other eye beneath her mask. "Who exactly our you, anyway?"

Ic: "Yes, absolutely," Ambages agreed, nodding his head. "Not only do they outman you, but they also are strengthening their defenses as we speak right now. They don't just have a pile of sticks and stones for a wall by a lake anymore, they have a citadel, and they will not leave their homes. They also know about the impending attacks, or at least suspect the upcoming assaults. If you were to march to their fortress anytime after yesterday you would be shattered before you could even say hello to their walls. I have made sure of this myself," he said confidently."I'm Ambages, an architect," he said with a shrug, partially to introduce himself as well as to Feongulf.Knowing he had just thrown an oil lamp into a den of vipers, he made it known that he was not a threat and opened his overcoat to show that he was both unarmed and not dangerous.

IC:Ambages, huh, she thought. She of course recognized the name, although that just raised even more questions. Why would an important person like him be doing here, of all places? Doesn't make sense, the island's master architect associating with people like us.Feongulf reached and brushed her cloak aside to finger the dagger sheathed at her side. "So, you want us dead, then? Excellent, hope you don't mind if we return the sentiment."

IC Ira"If you have seen their defenses," Ira said. "Then I trust you would know how to bypass them? If your purpose here is to aid us, then a little inside information would help..." Inside, he didn't trust the matoran. Suddenly popping into their midst and trying to offer them help that the others couldn't trust... Then he realized he was describing himself *facepalm*. Still, his unexpected appearance was too sudden; how could he know if he wasn't leading them into a trap?

Ic: "Of course I did; I designed them," Ambages declared towards Kuhrin. "My work is to design and execute the largest and most complicated feats of architecture on Mata Nui. I have engineered one of the most powerful edifices in war this civilization has ever seen, melding technologies from all the races on our island and merging them as one powerful machine, something you all alone cannot possibly overcome."As for why I am here? Why would a man of my stature and sophistication within society and its niches not know of a convention of Makuta followers? Some of you may know of it and some not, but I am also a member of the Cultured Gentry. I have my ways of knowing things, and also of getting things done. I am here to give you all a choice."When you march to the ILS stronghold in Pala-Koro, what is it you want from me? Because I can give you two things: Manned parapets and deadly traps, or..." He spread his palms like water over a flat plain. "... Broken gates."
