IC: HeulrakOh goody, I wondered when we'd get to this part, the giganitc Ve-Toa thought. While it might have seemed like there was no way he could win against all the opponents, Heulrak knew how to fight smart and cause them to get in the way of eachother's attacks. That was the thing with encircling your opponent, it worked well against normal beings, but Heulrak wasn't a normal being. His Calix activated, the gigantic Toa of Plantlife backflipped out of the ring of beings, their attacks flying harmlessly beneath him. With any luck, they'd hit eachother in their ring formation. Heulrak completed two full turns before landing lightly on the ground, his broadsword in one hand while a throwing ax was held in the other. Now, this is what I've been waiting for, he thought, slamming his broadsword against the ground.Immeadiatly, wooden spikes shot up from the ground around Tirax, forming a makeshift cage that allowed Heulrak to focus on the rest of beings. With a strength easily rivaling or surpassing that of a Toa of Stone, the golden-armored Toa brought his sword down on Takari in a horizontal arc. His ax was held up to defend against any counter attacks. He wasn't worried about melee attacks from the rest, as they would have to get by both Takari and Tirax to get to him.

IC: Sinina, Xa-Koro"That would be wonderful. Its only a few blocks away, straight to our left." Sinina said, accepting Raxa's proposal with a coy smile. It was such an utterly convincing and believable smile that anyone, no matter how skilled in body language, would find it genuine. Only someone without emotions could copy them so perfectly, replicating them in a scientific and utterly souless manner.

Ic: Brykon ignored Dorian's comment as the room descended. The grind of little wheels on the hard walls could be felt, and the vague notion that the room descended at a slight diagonal was easily perceived. Wooden boards, coarse and grainy, slithered upwards and away, their form sliding up through the hole in the wall a door filled a moment earlier. Finally, the room thumped at the bottom, breaking the balance of the four beings as they clutched to the walls and the desk for stability. Clearly, while there was a engineering masterpiece in the works, attention was not shifted at making luxurious elevators. The doorway revealed an openness of black. Brykon stepped into the unknown and the others followed with mixed enthusiasm.Brykon's heavy footsteps clattered somewhere in the dark, his heavy frame seemingly completely disappearing in the murk and the only sign of his presence was the faint glint of light from the room on the bands of gold on his waistbands and pauldron, like blips on a radar screen highlighting something in the vast unknown. And while the blind mercenaries were certain the area they were in was expansive, they still felt the strain of claustrophobic air, wet with subterranean condensation and the stench of ancient oxygen stirred by oily machinery. But the true contents of the cavern, if it were that, remained a mystery. The noise of their leader's walk stopped and was punctuated by a loud ka-thunk-snap! of a lever being thrown. Suddenly, artificial lightstones were powers on, rows of them igniting in sequence and stretched down an expansive gap in the earth. Darkness resumed its reign on the far reached ahead and a smaller passage not so far on the right, but under the yellow illumination that they stood in were machines, not much bigger than Ga-Koro fishing boats, that seemed to radiate efficiency and menace. Built like an iron tank and covered in mottled brown and black of dirt and oil, they were cars with pipes in the back and a cone in the front, decorated with protruding spikes that curved symmetrically at a clockwise radial. Clearly, these were digging machines. Several of them were parked in a row. Opposite the machines was an oddly placed office space, a few cubicles of modern skeletal appearance with tabletops occupied by what seemed to be a myriad of iStones, each of them displaying something in black and greens and blues. Behind one of the desks sat a matoran, black and purple, the colors of an Onu-Matoran, but around her neck were pearls and gold, signs of wealth and prominence. Brykon stood beyond the desks, hands still clutching the lever before he let go and slowly walked around the cubicles. "Come on out, Grokk," he said as he walked, but he remained silent afterwards; this was no longer his turn to speak.Grokk walked out from behind the machines, disappointed that he couldn't say "Boo!" to surprise Dorian. The matoran smiled as she got up and walked around the desk, standing beside and in front of Brykon. "Welcome back," she said in the voice of an administrator at a charity drive, pleasant but still tinged with authority. "I've been waiting for you for quite a while. It's nice to see Bad Company is complete once again."

IC-Raxa:Utterly convincing to anybody except the one person who'd been trained in such behaviour at least as long as Sinina had. Raxa smiled back, but he made sure with a quick jolt of power from his mask that Sinina knew that he meant business. And so they walked along quickly, coming to Sinina's supposed apartment, Raxa looking about with a seemingly critical eye."This is no place for somebody like you to live," he commented. "This is no place for anybody to live, it's so small and shabby. Come, I think I ought to extend my offer to you-the hotel I'm staying at currently has extra rooms." His smile came again, compelling in nature. And he knew Sinina would easily resist it, just what he wanted.Or she wouldn't, and that would work just as well."I was thinking I could buy out an extra room for Mirehu here," he said, gesturing to the other Toa of Crystal, "And I could do the same for you. A gift from one friend to another."And so his trap was set, and he continued to smile at Sinina, wondering if she would take the bait.

IC: MirehuI've got to stay in the same hotel. As them? Well, atleast its free. The Toa of Crystal's eyes lit up at that thought. She was actually getting something for free, and she wouldn't have to steal it. The problem was, she didn't exactly know how to accept something for free without stealing it. Oh Karz, whatdoidowhatdoido?"Uh... thanks...?" Mirehu said nervously, following the two. There was something about their tones... Something that Mirehu thought was sorta weird...

IC: Dorian (Underground, Xa-Koro)"It's alright, buddy," I whispered to Grokk as the Skakdi came up beside me and took a spot at my right. "You'll get me someday."Then, seconds later, Aurelia started talking, and I took a second to examine who I could only assume was one of the Four Peers. She was pretty, but very clearly opulent, a practical walking jewelry box with gaudy gems and stones dotting the accessories on her body like seashells in the sand. She spoke clearly, elegantly, as if she spent her entire waking life brokering deals, forging alliances, and had adopted the tone of voice she used in a business meeting for even the most casual of conversations. From the tense way Brykon stood, I figured that though she didn't look like much, I should expect something that I normally wouldn't. In the back of my head, I pictured the dark tunnel I had just walked through, and how easily Grokk had slipped out from the machines without anyone noticing. Any number of bodyguards or hitmen could have been hiding, and I instantly and imperceptibly tensed."It's nice to complete it," I ventured respectfully, a sharp smile already spreading across one half of my face. "I'd introduce myself, but I have the feeling it would waste my breath and your time, so I'll hold off on it."-Teezy

Ic: "It would be," Aurelia confirmed. "I know a lot about you already. Your disappearance was unfortunate, but you chose a good day to return after all. I take it Brykon debriefed you a little?""Some," Dorian answered. "And your name is?"She gave Brykon a look and he shook his head slightly, then she turned back to Dorian, her admonition complete. "I'm Aurelia," she said. "I sign your paychecks."

IC: Dorian (Underground, Xa-Koro)"I'm sorry for your losses," I replied with a playful glint in my eyes, a subtle reference to the massive paychecks the individual members of Bad Company brought in whenever a job finished up. "I'm going to take it that you're not here, however, to rebuke Grokk and I for our admittedly swollen expenses at the casino--""He was the one that bought all the bourbon."I cast my BFF beside me a bit of a withering look for throwing me under the bus before turning back to Aurelia.-Teezy

Ic: There was no reason to continue discussing Dorian; she would leave that to more fitting and powerful hands later. Instead, she turned the attention to what was obviously ever more important. "You like them?" she asked, moving a few steps closer to the drilling machine. She didn't let anyone interject. "They're part of aplan that has been hatching for longer than you think, and has everything to do with what you saw in the city above. What was Xa-Koro like when you last left it?"Dorian opened his mouth to speak. He didn't get the chance to go further. Aurelia's jaw was as powerful as her looks."It was ######. Complete and utter ######. There was ###### in the streets and ###### in the gutters, and where there wasn't ###### there was ash. Everything was a mess, but the people, the people were ######, too. Lawless and hopeless, the people of Xa-Koro simply recoiled in their filth, not able to go elsewhere or willing to try. Until I came. I gave them hope where there was none and shoved law down their throats so they knew what it tasted like, and when they liked it I fed it to them for a month. I gave Xa-Koro what it needed so desperately and succeeded where everyone else failed. Sure, there were charitable people who came and gave gifts, but I didn't come with handouts and welfare packets, I came with shovels and brooms and told people to get to work. I showed them how to make their pitiful lives useful and help themselves what they wanted. With Brykon, Grokk and the rest of the gang enforcing my law and the people happy and at work, I was able to turn my attention to the real reason I was here. Because trust me, I'm not in this place to enrich lives."Though most thought this place was just a land of thieves and murderous scum, they were right -- but beyond that there were builders, miners, merchants, and they could make this city bearable and livable again, just like how it is as you saw a while ago. The economy was in the core of the earth with no way out, but these people were still as strong and able as anyone else, just in their own way. Builders were put to work constructing buildings and repairing what was destroyed, merchants were given trust and staff the stores like the one above, and engineers were drafted to create tools and innovations I would have thought ridiculous. Like these babies." She caressed the cog of one of the drilling machines with her gloved hand. "The miners and some others were put to work here, underground. Drill baby drill." She smiled at the thought.

IC: Dorian (Underground, Xa-Koro)"You must be very proud," I said quietly, observing as the Onu-Matoran caressed the drilling machine lovingly, like an infant in its crib; something about the gesture seemed off, though, as if she was ready to reach out and strangle the baby, choking the oxygen out of its freshly-minted lungs, just as quickly as she would be to play with it. My eyes met Brykon's, and we held the stare for a few minutes before I turned back to Aurelia, who was now staring at me expectantly."So. Why the crowd down here, then?"-Teezy

IC (Jin)I gotta admit- I was surprised. I don't get surprised often (or when I do I don't show it), but this little underground lair was definitely unexpected. Who knew that some dressed-up girl with jewels dripping off every limb was lurking below the streets of Xa?And these drilling machines... what the karz? What was her plan? Whatever this Aurelia was up to, I had a feeling it wasn't all this 'home improvement' junk she'd been spouting. It was something darker... something dangerous. Yup, Aurelia was up to something, I knew, that was even more dastardly than home improvement.I resisted the urge to say that last remark out loud; Dor and Grokk might be able to get away with their quips, but I was new blood. Fresh meat. And Aurelia was the kinda gal you could tell wouldn't hesitate to take a bite out of you.Or just get one of her lackeys to do it for you. Who knew how many other bodyguards were lurking in the shadows of this underground complex? Grokk, one of the loudest, most obnoxious Skakdi I'd ever met, could have popped out and slit someone's throat before you could blink twice.Yeah, best to stay on the rich chick's good side. So I kept quiet, my mind spinning behind a calm, cool facade.

Ic: "You brought the crowd. And I'm giving you the information you would need since you missed the last briefing," she said, giving Dorian a glare that wasn't for simply looking at Brykon. It was a simple rebuke, but again, she didn't let the matter settle; that was someone else's job."Xa-Koro is just the last incarnation of a city built many times over the centuries. Several civilizations rose and sunk in the mirth of these islets, some matoran, some foreign and some just plain alien, but every one of them sunk over the years, mashed and molded in the swamp it was sprung up in. I'm not sure why anyone would build in these places, but they can't have been for the same reason I am. There are some teams upstairs working on foundations" -- Dorian passed one of those teams as he chased after Brykon -- "but those things, despite the claims I make to them and the engineers, won't last any longer than everything else in this place, and if anything will have the shortest life cycle of history. "As each city fell through the swamp of time, it met the other cities and sandwiched them. Suddenly, they became interlaced with each other, and streets went from pathways to canals to caves, and buildings crumbled on themselves and made bubbles in the earth as they sunk. If you looked at the ground from above, you could imagine a literal network, a spiderweb thick with lines that radiated out from this city, tunnels forgotten to most. These machines are here to grind up history and leave even more tunnels in their wake."You girl," she said, pointing to Jin, "what happens when organic material decomposes?"

IC (Jin)I raised my eyebrows. "Turns into dirt, I guess, if you want the cliffnotes version." I shrugged. "I'm not exactly a biologist, ma'am."I don't usually call people ma'am, or sir, or anything resembling an honourific, but it seemed like a nice touch when addressing my new employer. So I stuck it on the end.

Ic: Aurelia wasn't happy by the lackluster answer. "Methane," she said, giving the reply she was looking for. "And this swamp is full of ancient, undisturbed, dangerous gas, compressed by the weight of half a dozen cities pressing down on each other. These machines are here to dig to these pockets and release their contents until every cave is full of that fuel like a house fills with smoke. A net full of explosive gas underneath this very city, ready to be exploited. Brykon isn't smoking now, but in time all he would have to do is throw a cigar down and--" CLAP! The sound echoed down the cavern and vanished. Her point was made."While people work above us, however, they're doing more than just build a new city, they're seeing the fruit of their labour and growing strong. Those chosen for it will be a part of an army. An army tempered and strengthened by their lives and work and loyal to me for what I've done for them.""An army... for what?" someone asked. Their voice was one of curiosity and alarm."To destabilize matoran culture on the mainland. These people are full of a hatred of the culture that pushed them to this den. They want nothing more than to crush their former oppressors. They will have the opportunity to strike back at those with a culture of their own, and with the sudden asunder of their own city they would have no culture to look back to, no city to call home. It would be an initiative to push onward Those fortunate to be recruited for the army would be on ships far away from here when this place becomes an atoll. The rest... could be branded as martyrs, worthless, casualties, whatever you want to. They would be corpses either way, paving a new future with us at the helm."

IC: Dorian (Underground, Xa-Koro)Genocide.It was implied, hidden underneath layers of charisma and words that, while sophisticated, I knew to all come back to one sharp meaning: Xa-Koro was being cleansed, and with those considered pure - or impure enough, depending on your view of the matter - enough for Aurelia's cause, the mainland of Mata Nui would still follow. This cult of personality would march through every corner, pillaging and burning like the savages that everyone in the cavern knew they really were, until there was nothing left of Mata Nui but ash and bone, upon which the Four Peers could build a new civilization as they saw fit. Let's not mince words about it: I've shed blood. I've killed a lot of people over the last few decades, and frankly, I've gotten pretty good at it. But "everything in moderation" isn't just some phrase you read once you crack open a fortune cookie and then toss aside, it's bona fide truth, and the rush that someone gets from killing people is no exception. Ecstacy is a powerful thing; guilt, though, genuine guilt bubbling up in you like a hot spring and coursing through your body...that's something else. Truth be told, I'm not sure if I've ever felt it. What Aurelia was talking about, though, what she was suggesting that Bad Company be a part of...that was something that could easily trigger a nice hot cup of "what the Karz did I just do?" throughout my system if done right. Question is, would it?Was that moral of me? Was I doing the right thing? I don't know. But I know that the plan left me with a few knots in my spine, for a variety of reasons. And there was Brykon, still staring into me, not at me. Brykon, with his deep blue eyes, his perfect muscles, his own set of morals, buried deep down under decades of cigar smoke and spilled blood. What were his thoughts on this? Had he shared them with Aurelia already, and, if so, had he been punished for it? And why was he staring at me, anyway? Why not Aurelia, the perpetrator of this little scheme? Why not Grokk, the other relative wild card of the team? Why not Jin, the new blood? God, why not stare at Illicia, the actual traitor of the team? Why was he looking at me so intently, almost as if waiting for something in particular? What did he want with me?But then again...what good was life outside of this team, anyway? What did I have to look forward to? A career as a supermodel? A lifetime in prison for crimes past, present, and probably future? This little scheme promised me a lot, but most importantly, it promised me fun. It promised me a family of sorts, and, even if shaky, that's something that I'd never really gotten to call my own. I met Brykon's gaze and last, and something passed between the two sets of blue eyes that I'm not sure if Aurelia saw or not, before I turned back to her and grinned."At the risk of sounding too informal...that's awesome."-Teezy

Ic: Brykon remained expressionless, the mime who had known it all along. Grokk was already in on the deal, of course, as was Sev if he ever showed up, but Jin and Illicia were not even privy of it at all. For Jin, it may have been a complete culture shock. They were the unknowns in this case. Brykon's eyes met with Dorian's, a silent conversation. Dorian's quick words were a stamp of approval the two leaders of the scheme looked forward to, but now their sets of eyes wafted to the two women in the room. Aurelia and Brykon waited with bated breath for their reactions. Their choices could even determine if they lived to see the light of above again.

IC (Jin)So... this was the big plan. The big reveal. The scheme that had held Xa-Koro hostage for a month, and would continue to do so for the foreseeable future.Genocide.First Xa, then the rest of the island. There were a myriad of reactions I could've had to this plain statement. Desbelief, shock, refusal... there were more choices than your average ice cream parlour, and over half of them would no doubt result in my immediate termination. Both in terms of contract and my life. But I don't think anyone expected the reaction I chose. Even I was kinda surprised by it.I laughed. Not a booming, obnoxious laugh or anything, but I chuckled. Even Aurelia looked a little taken aback by the fact that I thought mass murder and the destruction of Mata Nui's civilization was funny."Ma'am," I said, looking Aurelia in the eye (Brykon didn't matter; he was just a pawn). This was a gal I could respect, to be honest. She didn't fool around. "I've hated this two-bit island ever since I set foot on it. If you're planning on blowing it halfway to karz and then ruling the remains, well, I wanna be along for the ride."

IC: SevSev finally stepped out of the shadows, clapping his hands as he did so. "Quite the speech Aurelia, as always ya neva fail to deliver. Had me hooked the only way through, every word. An' man, that twist at the end, brilliant lass, brilliant, neva saw it comin'." Sev joked, ignoring the annoyed stares some of the others were giving him. They knew that he had already heard this speech, all of his talking was just pointless chatter, but that was Sev. The new recruit would get used to that soon. However despite this carefree facade, Sev was not happy with this plan, in fact he didn't like it all. Genocide, such a pointless waste of life. Exploitation is one thing, murder another, but killing so many people. It's not even a scheme with a ridiculously large payoff. An army? So what we're a bunch of mercs, Army's aren't exactly beneficiary to us. Killing all these people just doesn't seem worth it. Knowing Dorian, he probably agrees. Well, I think he does anyway, he's far harder to read than most folks, but I don't see him as the guy who just kills willy nilly.Still Sev kept such thoughts to himself, voicing them would only get him killed, that wasn't a pleasant outcome. Instead he turned towards Dorian, "So pretty boy, I see ya finally 'cided to make an appearance, things had gotten pretty dull afta ya disappeared on us. Again." He then chuckled as he cocked his head towards Jin, "See ya also 'cided to pick up a new pretty face, I swear everytime I see ya, ya have someone new on your arms. What's this, numba twenty six? No, no, I'm sure ya much higha than tha', thirty nine then?"Yeah it may have seemed condescending towards Jin, but that was point. It was a test, to see how she'd react. As things she was another unknown variable, Sev wanted to atleast get some gauge of her actions, so he could know where to place her. That was if she even measured up to a respectable level..

IC-Raxa:"Oh, did I mention that my hotel is in Le-Wahi?" Raxa asked the group after a moment. "I was just making a side-trip here...but hey, Le-Wahi is fun, Le-Koro proper even better. Good armour smiths, as well. Ready to go, yes, no, maybe so? Good!" he said quickly, not giving the group any time to speak. He wanted to be in Le-Koro to be ready for whenever Crystalia would show up.Not letting them get a word in edgewise, Raxa activated his Pakari, pulling Sinina and Mirehu to the docks and onto a ferry, heading on to Le-Wahi, soon to Le-Koro after a bit of walking.OOC: Raxa, and (please) Sinina to Le-Wahi. Gravs can post with Mirehu if he wants. xP (You'll thank me later, Darkon, just go with it.)

IC (Lohkar)Lohkar had, as usual, disappeared in the middle of the conversation. He now stood at the helm, readying the wheel."It's 'igh time we got a move on!" the Lesterin roared. "Weigh anchor an' hoist the sails!"As the crew scurried to obey, he looked to Floria."You wanted ta stow away," he called. "Why not join me crew for a while?"

IC: Xylak (Xa-Koro)Xylak sat inside the shack he often used as a base, staring at the wall. Outside, he heard footsteps approaching, followed by the door opening. He turned around, slowly. "Who's there?"A Vortixx came into view. "Sir. One of our spies was almost intercepted.""No-one in Xa-Koro could be bothered with us. They'll move on.""They were Toa, sir. They were on the ferry. They found the decoy.""And?""The messenger exterminated him." The Vortixx said. "However, the Toa weren't discouraged by this.""You were there?""I got off the ferry along with everyone else, and made my way back."Xylak nodded. "Anything else?"She looked down and bit her lip. "There is one other thing."Xylak looked impatiently at her."As I was returning, I passed through Le-Wahi." She explained. "There were flames. Destruction.""Le-Koro? The jungle?""It looked like they were near Lake Pala.""Pala-Koro..." Xylak scratched his chin thoughtfully. "Who are the attackers?""I don't know."Xylak stood up. "Come on. We're leaving."- - -A short while later, Xylak was climbing into a boat, the Vortixx with him. "I'm going to Onu-Koro to check up on our friend. You can go to Pala-Koro. Find out exactly what's going on."OOC: Xylak and Vortixx (currently NPC, I'm about to make a profile) to Le-Wahi.

Someday, you're going to need help. Someday, you're going to turn to me, because there's no one else left. And when you do, I will say 'no'. I will look you dead in the eyes and I will say no, because you let her die, David.

OOC: Just because I post once a day doesn't mean I don't keep track of this RPG's doings, guys. :P I definitely agree, let's leave with maximum speed. IC: Sinina, To Le-WahiSinina never responded to Raxa, only smiling slightly. It was at once frustrating, alluring, and repulsively condescending, utterly unbearable. After Raxa decided it was in their best interests to leave, Sinina found herself being pulled. Acting as if she was surprised, she kept up with Raxa with ease, allowing herself to be dragged or overpowered when it was most convincing.

IC:No matter where in the universe you were, there were a few universal truths that applied at any given time. The sun rising at dawn and setting at dusk, gravity, rocks fall, everybody dies and that the best address to get easy information was the local tavern. And the more shady that tavern was, the better the information one could gather there was, usually. Which was the main-reason why the horde, the group of Skakdi, had been at this particular bar for the better part of the afternoon. The other reason was that they were thirsty. Quite a bit, in fact. So the ordered one drink after the other, until even the bartender, used to seeing all varieties of drunks on a daily basis, couldn't help but be a bit impressed how much ale each of the Skakdi downed without showing any sign of getting buzzed. They probably had consumed more drinks in the past hour than the normal customer ordered here in a week. Eventually though, Rhow began to feel something, and she placed her half-empty glass on the counter. They had business to do here. The followers of Makuta had headed here and now it was the time to seek them out. Preferably before they all started to get really incapacitated by their short break here. She turned to the others. "Alright people. Finish what you have in your glasses. We need to find some bad guys."The bartender chuckled. "Bad guys, eh?" he asked. "You won't have to look far in this here place."Rhow stepped past the others and right up to the counter. "Sounds like you've got an ear to the ground. So, how 'far' do me and my friends have to look?"The bartender smirked. "Listen up, lass..."OOC: I don't have the time to write the whole conversation. Since the topic is going up in flames soon anyway, I don't supposes learning the FoM HQ location here is too big of an issue.

IC (Lohkar)Just as the Infernavika began to pull away from the dock, a shout rang out."Lohkar!"Lohkar turned to see Hahkes standing on the dock, bow in hand and a pack on his back."Hahkes!" the pirate replied. "What're ya doin'?""Coming with you!" the Air Lesterin replied. "It's too long since I've had an adventure!"Lohkar threw him a line, and Hahkes hauled himself onto the deck."Glad ta have you on board, mate," said Lohkar, grinning. "But aren't ya worried about leavin' the Black Spot?"Hahkes shook his head. "It's in good hands," he said. "Duhlk'll take good care of the place, don't you worry."

IC: Taoki - Xa-Koro BarTaoki had put down his glass for the last time much earlier than the others. He was a lightweight fighter, a lightweight Skakdi, and a lightweight drinker. Taoki, being smaller than the others couldn't take as much alcohol as the others, and wanting to avoid getting drunk for what might be storming a possible meeting place of Makuta's people, he knew to quit when he was ahead. He sighed as he flipped one of his two butterfly knives around one hand, hoping he was sober enough not to lose a finger in the process. As Rhow and the bartender spoke, Taoki continued this practice, eventually moving on to more complicated tricks. A drunk Toa made his way across the room and sat down next to Taoki, who with Kahlynn was at a table behind the rest of the Horde. Kahylnn watched Taoki skillfully flip the blade about, and the drunk tried to make some comment about it, failing at first. Taoki stopped, and gave him a look before continuing again.A second drinker came up behind Taoki, "Nice knife play kid.""Thanks," Droned the Skakdi of sands through his permanent frown absentmindedly. He continued to play around with the knife until Rhow finished speaking with the bar-keep.

IC: "DOO DOO-DOO DOO DOO DOO DOO DOO-DOO DOO DOOOOO...," A voice sang near Lohkar. The distinct sound of a ukulele being plucked by a less-than-capable musician echoed across the Infernavika's deck."DOO DOO DOO DOO DOO DOO DOOO DOO DOO, DOO DOO, DOO, DOO-DOO~"Doomie pouted at the questioning glances his fellow crewmates gave him. "C'mon! Leaving port is EPIK HUHM TIEM!"OOC: Just popping in to remind people that Doomie is still a crew member. Might post more actively for him if my other chars continue to waste away in inactivity. He's humming The Medallion Calls. Blame his horrible pacing and notes on his lack of musical talent. Alternatively, you can always blame me for not spending more time getting it down right. XP

IC:Sorry I was away for so long, folks. I'd been rather busy living life, taking advantages of this rancid shantytown's gambling scene, drinking like a fish and swearing like a fisherman, even executing a few armed robberies. The normal deal, alongside a lot of more appetizing stuff that doesn't belong in a family-friendly zone. Shout-out to all the kids out there; stay in school... Do as I say, not as I do.Anywho, when Bry let me know that the gang was finally officially getting back together, I wasn't really doing anything of importance. I took my winnings (a little more than double what I'd started the game with, mind... To those of you out there looking for easy money, I highly recommend learning to cheat better than other people), put on my bag and widest smile, and met the Bad Company absentee boss at our rendezvous point. He chomped on his cigar as usual; I licked my finger and put out the deathstick. "I hear that's bad for you," I said, flashing my pearlies. He lit another match, and I pulled my finger away in mock horror of being burned. I mean hey, he mighta singed it a little. Scary stuff. From there on out, there was a lot of knocking on doors together, dumping cold water on woozy heads, and convincing passers by to talk; all that boring stuff needed to assemble the gang we did, and eventually Bad Company was as bad as it was gonna get. It was almost refreshing to be back in familiar company: I did my part to reunify us by hosting some team building exercises, like mocking everyone when I saw them, or flicking somebody in the back of the head as we walked and insisting it was the person behind me who'd done it. I'll go to my grave (yeah, like that'll ever happen) insisting on the value of this kind of team-building.So anywho, that's my recap. Now we were all underground, talking about genocide with some rich-looking lady with a jewelry hoarding problem. I have no moral aversion to genocide, but then again, you'll recall that I have no moral aversion to just about anything. One time I tried shrunken-head golfing off the side of a cliff, and I slept fine. Right and wrong? Eh. "So, lady," I asked the necklace queen, "When do we start? And what's our evac plan? I dunno, I'm not the biggest fan of being here when this place gets squashed. Also, why all the..." I gestured to her baubles, "...decoration? No offense, but it's almost as ridiculous-looking as Dor's neck wear."

IC (Lohkar)As Doomslayer reached the refrain, Lohkar suddenly burst into song, following Doomie's melody."Yadada, dada, daa daa daa, daa daa daa dum," the Lesterin's voice rang out, in perfect pitch, "yadada, dada, daadaa, dadaa, dadaa dum!"Lohkar finished, and continued steering the ship as if nothing had happened.IC (Hahkes)Hahkes shook his head, smiling, as he made his way over to the hatch. Some things never changed.

IC: IlliciaPlans of genocide, ha! Like we haven't been here before. Go for it, you might be able to get The Dreamer and his goons off your back while you're at it. Illicia shrugged. That morally ambiguous voice in her head usually made the best decisions, and she had little reason to refuse. There was nothing she had to lose in this deal, except perhaps a bit of shock if the currency changed. Something even better would be that the League of Whatever wouldn't see it coming thanks to her new misinformation scheme. Granted, they'd catch on to that pretty fast, but the whole genocide thing? Too late."Ma'am," Jin spoke up. "I've hated this two-bit island ever since I set foot on it. If you're planning on blowing it halfway to karz and then ruling the remains, well, I wanna be along for the ride."Illicia raised an eyebrow? 'Ma'am'? Eh, as long as she got paid. And, although she'd never admit it, as long as she was in the company of Dorian. "Sure, me too," she decided, then quickly added, "Ma'am."

IC: SalvinnSalvinn grinned, an idea had come to him, "Yo Sep, you remember how we first met here. Some scumbag was attacking you? Well I've been thinking what place is filled with more scumbags, muggers, and ##### than any other," Salvinn said, pausing for dramatic suspense that was completely unnecessary, but hey he was a show hog. "Xa-Koro.""Now you know what I'm thinking. Let's change that, flip the status quo on it's head a bit. Cause I mean come on, if any place needs any sort of heroism, then it's Xa-Koro. So what'd you say partner, you in? Well once my back heals that is."

OOC: Explaining Ketru's OriginsIC: KetruHaving absolutely nothing to do, I sat down on a park bench and flipped open a file. My thoughts flipped back to the day when I had been attacked by those dastardly cultists, led by a toa of gravity named Skaaraa, and was rescued by some old toa of magnetism. He had taken me to some underground bunker of some sorts and had healed me. I was given a copy of his research notes to help me take advantage of my "new" body... Subject 26 is of the most peculiar nature. When he first found him in a roadside , he was badly damaged and normal healing measures weren't enough; not even a mask of healing could repair the damage. We had to make a drastic move; we "rebuilt" him. Installing him with mechanical upgrades and removing unhealable flesh, we raised his percentage of mechanical parts Now, he is 96.8 percent mechanical in composition, mechanical to the point where the line between man and machine becomes blurred. he even thinks like a robot now; when we ran a test of his neural reflexes, it appeared to be not in normal electronic synapses, but in some sort of abstract coding. On physical terms, every move he makes creates a strange whirring noise. His circulatory system is gone entirely; he will not bleed if injured. Even his lungs have been cybernetically upgraded. These upgrades have made his movements choppy and awkward, but that is a small price to pay for increased strength, speed, and agility...I closed the file. Rising off of the bench, I began to walk off in a random direction...

IC (Jin)"Save your breath, kid," I said calmly, not even bothering to look at Sev. "If you're here, that means you're wanted alive, and I can't change that. If you were expendable, I would've already taken you out back and buried you deeper than the pit where you picked up that accent."
