Where Naara was stoic, Nikarra was emotional; the latter was a dynamo, creative, and absolutely obsessed with him whereas Naara was quiet, preferring to stay introspective and quiet with her thoughts and feelings. There was no middle ground between the two, nothing to truly compare them against each other in.Except him. The only thing they had in common was him. And it all came down to who truly wanted him more. He wants to kill me. I have to get there first. I figured that the best way to find a killer was by getting involved with one. I knew of three. One hated me. One was my brother. And the other was Reichenbach."He himself wanted revenge, on a detective named Thedar Chronn, although he never told me why. He became obsessed with him, and every time a day passed that Chronn was still alive he would become more determined that his nemesis would never see another dawn, and every day he did, and he fell into depression and self-loathing, flipping a coin to decide whether or not he should kill himself on any given day. Being his only close relative that didn't despise him - I'm his cousin - it was up to me to stop him from actually taking the knife to his throat. But every time I did, he ignored me. It was like I didn't even matter. Eventually, he decided to kill my brother and his best friend and I knew he'd gone far enough. I turned on him, killing another of his employees and helping my brother escape. Every now and then, I have to wonder if I did the right thing." What she assumed to be the purgatory cake looked a little bland. However, she took a brownie sundae and began eating it, surprised at the fact it was a good deal nicer than the desserts they had in the restaurants. He was right. They do actually give the people in the villas nicer food.
