Meta-Mind, I really like you, a lot. What you are saying is exactly how I tend to feel about fighting in this RP in general. The Majority of the time I see fighting it's merely for the sake of fighting or trying to kill a character you don't particularly like. I mean I'm all for the occasional fight between characters if a plot demands as such, but there are way too many characters that just go around looking for a fight with the first person they come across or catches their eye. It's dumb.

Hey people, what are the current statuses of the various Makura Followers that attacked Pala-Koro. Its important for the post I'm cooking up. Just a general "he/she's here doing this" sorta thing. plzthxbai

They retreated into the jungle after the village's fall. Most of them went to Kini-Nui - I think some are still there. They've started to leave, though.

BZPRPG TIME, where you could have one post talk about dinner, and the next about lunch.

Time is beyond relative here.

There's no reason not to put lasers in the palms of planet-sized robots. In fact, if I had my own planet-sized robot, palm lasers would be one of my first upgrades.

Not so much despair has having no love or joy. More different than envy is from greed, let me tell you.

I'm not trying to be insulting. I rant about this IRL to my fellow inmates all the time, and never about the Daedra.

---

I'm not taking offence at this; just thought I'd explain how I see the difference, seeing as it's a tricky subject, but one I've spent a good deal of time on. :P

Envy is the desire for other people's things. It's almost resentful: "Why do they get that and I don't? I want it. I deserve it more than them." Envy is malicious and spiteful, always wanting to get more at the expense of others. It is vengeful and thinks ill towards others.

Greed, on the other hand, is the desire for things in general. It is not vindictive towards people who have more; greed is simply the lust for more than it needs for survival. It does not measure its wealth by what other people have, but simply by how much its desire is quenched (which it never is; greed is never satisfied).

The difference between the two is that one is motivated by others, and one is motivated by the self. Envy is the definition of wanting but never getting; what it wants is always one step further, until it is at the top of the world, better than everyone else. Greed is the definition of obtaining but always wanting more on top of what it already has, simply for the pleasure of having more.

In short, Greed gets what he wants, and just wants more. Envy wants everything, but never gets anything, turning him sour and spiteful.

This, of course, is my definition, but has nothing to do with how Tyler plays Envy. There are a thousand different ways to play a character, and a thousand different ways to interpret a deadly sin.

On Mata Nui it's a perfectly spheroid alphabet. They don't have fonts.

Font? What's a font? A type of Rahi?

In all seriousness, the Matoran language has no font except for on Bara Magna, but what's a Bara Magna?

Oh hello there Onarax, yes, we called. And post if you could, seeing that I've lured you out.

Soooo...is there anything major going or someone who can interact in, say, Onu-Wahi? I need something for my De-Matoran to do now that Mef has had to depart =/

Behind this sucky post count, a writer and hardcore RPer lies in wait of a reason to post...

For those who will likely ask when reading some of my non-RP posts: for me, "*shot*' = "I know that what I said was something stupid and I am acknowledging this before people think I'm serious."

Oh yeah, and my current BZPRPG character bio can be found here.

"Why...me? Oh yeah, that's right. I'm weak. I'm of a minority, a minority of people with a common trait: we hear too much. And what we're supposed to hear hurts to hear. When I'm alone in a silent room, I can hear a pebble dropping from a mile away. I can hear a motor boat being started up several yards off the coast. A whisper from outside, I can hear as if they were talking right at me. An explosion in another koro, I hear as if it's just outside. Sounds useful, right?"

"Wrong."

"It's a curse, if you ask me. The same pen dropping inside this aforementioned silent room would ring in my ears. If I stood by the same motor, I'd get a headache. The same whisper would ring in my ear like two metal beams being slammed together in front of my face. The same explosion would render me deaf for years...thank the Spirit I thought of getting me something to dampen the noise, or I'd end up like the rest of my kind..."

I've been pondering this feeling I've had in my subconscious for a long time.

And now I figured it out.

TNG's posts look like a bowl of Fruit Loops©.

Wait. They sent the Po-Koro Guard to pick up the Turaga?

The guard with maybe two dozen people confirmed to still be alive? The guard that got trumped by the BZPRPG equivalent of the Three Stooges in pirate costumes? That Po-Koro guard?

Aw, man.

Define mostly :P

I just need to make sure that my skakdi won't be tackled by a bunch of psychopaths as soon as he stops hiding.

Yeah, but we've still got a warship.

As well as a Naona.

And quite a few PCs.

Which have pretty much all gone to pick up the turaga, leaving the koro in the hands of the weakened NPC body.

And while NPCs are decently strong, PC guards are typically better. So the village is in a very suboptimal position.

But hey, things could be worse.

Po-Koro could be Xa-.

So if I were to break Jianzha pit Jack Sparrow style because she's in a temporal freeze (getting no interaction)...

That's true, but Dehkaz is counting on the fact that there are Toa in the village. Besides, getting the Turaga back is pretty much the biggest thing on their to do list.

But, that's one of the reasons he wants to get this done quickly, to avoid leaving the village relatively unguarded for any period of time.

If they consider returning the turaga important and want to protect the village, they might as well have contacted another PC guard group of another koro and asked them to retrieve the turaga instead. Po- was hit multiple times. I'd think Ta- or maybe Le-, with gukko transportation, could maybe escort them without fear of leaving a koro behind.

The fact is that all koro have toa. All koro have staff NPCs for smiting attacks without approval. But not all koro have PC guards or have been devastated by series of attacks.

That's also true. Still, getting the Turaga back was sorta just tacked on OOC. The Fowadi was just going to sink some (NPC) pirates at first.

So we rolled with it. Besides, returning the Turaga by boat is probably one of the more secure options. Both for protecting the Turaga and protecting people from the Turaga. The Fowadi was just available at the time.
