Hapori Tohu
The Mixels are a new collectable theme from LEGO this year, and all three series were on display at Toy Fair 2014. There's a lot of variety in these sets, and some creative part usage. Of course, they're also some of the first sets to utilize the new, smaller ball joint system. To find out what makes these guys tick, read on! View the full article 1 Quote News Forums Q&A
TLhikan
They're pretty neat, and like the article said, they have some pretty smart piece usage. I might pick up one of the purple ones when that line comes out. Quote "So I'm TL now?""Yeah, 'cuz if we said it the other way it'd have to be TLhiKHAAN!!" J46 Nui
I like these, but I doubt that if I get them, they will not remain built for long. The pieces are a bit more interesting than the sets. 25K Now!
These things are adorable. I'll probably have to get one sooner or later. Quote http://vimeo.com/198967785 BZPRPG Profiles
xccj
I was pretty meh on the first wave. They don't have designs that are too amazing, and besides the new balljoints, they don't have that great of a parts selection. But the next two waves improve in both areas, IMO, so I'm excited for them now. My favorites so far are probably the blue ones. Lyichir
Some of the best Mixels coverage yet! A few nitpicks and clarifications, though.-Zaptor's bush piece is indeed new—but to be a bit more specific, it's Flame Yellowish Orange (Keetorange), not regular yellow.-The blue Mixels do use Ninjago weapons, but none of the weapons in them are recolored. Lunk and Flurr use the same White/Trans. blend as Zane's Elemental Blade from last year, and Slumbo's weapons are from Galaxy Squad, where they had already appeared in Trans. Light Blue.-I was curious, so I went ahead and double checked, and sure enough, the technique used for Gobba's arms hasn't appeared in any other official set. Most of these look awesome, but I don't know if I'll be getting any—there's a lot of other sets this year that I'll want, and my little brother has dibs on these! JAG18
I'll admit that I've been ignoring this new theme up until now, but I thought since BZPower was reporting on it that I might as well takes a look at it. My first impression is that they all seem just a little...babyish; course I doubt these are aimed at older LEGO fans so I guess that's fine.I like the new parts and more importantly, the new, innovative, use of parts. Probably won't pick any of them up, but I'll try and keep an open mind towards these Mixels.
Kayru
Ohhh my goodness I love these. I hadn't seen anything about them before. They're adorable and I must get them all. PRIORITIES I am very excited to see good uses abound with the eye parts, especially with humanoid MOCs, the faces of which I have found to be lacking for the most part.
