Tuuli
A few years later... ...The return of a hero. A great Spirit. Turaga Mata Nui.So after the defeat of Makuta, is Mata Nui simply "done"? Well, yes. He is. He has fulfilled his destiny as "Toa Mata Nui" and sacrificed his power to restore the health of Spherus Magna. The mask of life built him this turaga form and he recieved a Kanohi Hau to symbolize his protection over the Matoran. Besides, that's his symbol. http://i57.photobucket.com/albums/g208/Mata-Nui/turagamatanui_zps66d1f857.jpg I tried to use some parts from Onewa to give him a reference to the Sand tribe on Bara Magna, hence the hammer as well. He has a beautiful golden face carved from the great beings themselves. As for the Ignika, it chose to be a toa once more. (or whatever is in your part of the universe). So there you go. Enjoy. Kanakalackin
bumpYeah. That's not allowed here. I like the MOC, it does it's purpose well. BrickPharaoh
I think I'd be bumping the living stars out of my topics cuz barely no-one comments on my creations :/ Getting really frustrating by the way Onto the MOC, I do not think it's anything special to be honest. This might come out a bit cold but it's basically pretty much changing the mask of an existing set. Quote "Welcome to Valhalla, Warrior." JAG18
When I first looked at it I thought "why tan?" Then I saw your reasoning for it and thought "Oh, that's cool".Other, than that theirs really not much to say about it; it really is just adjusting an already existing set. Better luck next time (I hope their will be a next time)
Omega12
I think this would have been better with the chrome hau. Other than that, it's a turaga I like his back story though. Edited February 20, 2014 by Omega12
Tuuli
How would I make a Turaga look any different? And he is different because I took the golden face piece from a bionicle playset then put a brain in it and used 2 grey foot pieces and gave him Pahrak Va's staff. Seems legit. BrickPharaoh
Take note of the fact that you're building in LEGO. It's supposed to be *THE* ultimate medium for creativity. Surely you'd be able to capture some of the traits of the Turagas' appearance and potentially improve it significantly, with just a touch of ingenuity. I'd prototype some new torso/limb designs if I were you, and try to make the figure with ball joints instead of pin-axle connectors for the arms/hands, etc. Who knows, you might end up creating the next big thing in Turaga aesthetics! With LEGO, the possibilities are endless, so you might as well try to disprove this theory 2 Quote "Welcome to Valhalla, Warrior." Wazdakka
I don't really see how this is any different than a normal Turaga Onewa, besides the mask and legs. Quote Steam Name: Toa Hahli Mahri. Toa of Ice - 1987
Looks pretty good for such a small character but have you considered using different eyecolors for that Mata Nui Turaga? I think the dark orange is kinda off for his character and i recommend the trans-lightblue eyecolor similar to how he had that head/facecolor as a toa.
