JAG18 Posted March 9, 2014 Share Posted March 9, 2014 Matoro: It looks like a nice enough sketch, but I'm actually a bit more interested in your subject choices. How you decided to make him hold his Cordek Blaster, or how you drew the Inika legs, stuff like that. The mask is my favorite part, though, well done. Rahkshi: Hmm, I'm seeing more of a 2010 influence, than a 2003 influence, but I suppose it's all the same. I think you definitely got the Rahkshi look down; the limbs, feet, spine, are all good. The head looks a little bit lopsided and I'm not really sure what to make out of the torso. I can't see what you were going for. But, those things aside, it's nice and you did a good job on both. As to Matoro, I basically tried to combine set accuracy from memory along with whatever I could make look decent on the paper, as well as realistic. if I was holding a big gatling gun rocket torpedo launcher, I wouldn't hold it like a pistol, I'd sling it down. The Inika legs are basically a result of me forgetting what the actual toy ones looked like, as well as the fact that I like to make things chunky - I actually really liked how they came out. The mask is completely inspired from the comic (the scene entirely, actually). The Rahkshi was a bio class distraction, also from memory, so I think (don't remember perfectly) that I just tried to fill in enough stuff and machinery looking pieces to make the chest seem like a chest, but no more.
