Today LEGO has provided this winged creature for a video review and another to raffle off to you! I, reporter ChocolateFrogs, take a look at this set from all angles and determine if its worth taking to the skies with Eris, our Chima hero of the day, or if it gets grounded. Yeah, this is the best Legend Beast. The wolf and lion are nice, I guess, but their faces look super dumb. The eagle is so regal and cool and it relies on [printed parts/stickers?] for its face a lot less. It's only a shame that I already have too many Erises to justify picking this one up on my own.

Crows caw. Eagles screech. Get your bird facts right.

Actually, the call most people associate with Bald Eagles is the call of the Red Tailed Hawk. The real eagle call is this much less dramatic series of squeaky sounds.

That's actually pretty interesting. Thanks for informing me of my error. Also, it doesn't sound like cawing. Take note, whoever's running the Tohu account.

(although I probably should give you some leeway since I can't type those sounds in words)

The eyes are printed, but all the other decorations are stickered. But because the eyes are separate from one another, you can make all sorts of super-dumb faces with them like with the Mixels. The other Legend Beasts are less versatile.

While you are correct about the common substitution of the red-tailed hawk screech, keep in mind that this eagle does not necessarily represent a bald eagle. There are many other types of eagle, many of them even larger and more impressive.

As a side note, sometimes bald eagles nest in a tree not a stone's throw away from a bridge in my hometown that I commonly cross. Regardless of what you think of their cries, they really are majestic creatures (the same applies to great blue herons, visible from the same bridge throughout the year).

The prominence of white, especially the care taken to make the head pure white, seems to imply a lot of inspiration from bald eagles, which are the most common eagle in pop culture. It's not necessarily supposed to be a bald eagle, but I wouldn't be too quick to dismiss the idea of bald eagles playing a large role in the conception of the Eagle tribe as a whole.

It wasn't intended as a slight against the entire idea of the bald eagle's majesty, just that people think their cries are the fierce screech of the red tailed hawk when it's honestly closer to a gull in its vocalizations.
