TechHive has a story this morning about a new project from LEGO's Future Lab. Dubbed LEGO Fusion, the product looks like Life of George meets LEGO Star Wars. There will be several different sets, each one coming with a bunch of bricks and prompting you to download the appropriate app. That app will give you things to build which you then scan with your phone or tablet's camera. Then your creation will appear in the game for you to interact with! It sounds like an awesome concept and I can't wait to learn more. The first three sets will be in stores in August!

This certainly seems like a fresh and innovative idea. Good on you, Lego.

That is a beautiful idea that LEGO has come up with. Sounds like a good, fun way to teach game design to kids.
