Zidonaro Posted July 1, 2014 Share Posted July 1, 2014 So, I got pretty interested in this Chima theme, and since the TV show is not avaible in my country, I would like to know if the PSVita/3DS game "Laval's Journey" is a good introduction to the universe of Chima Also, it's a good game ? Lyichir Posted July 5, 2014 Share Posted July 5, 2014 For what it's worth, a BZP member gave me a glowing recommendation of Laval's Journey when discussing the mixed quality of recent Lego handheld games, calling it the best Lego game yet for a handheld system. I haven't gotten it yet to see if they're right, and I don't know how good it is to introduce you to the world of the series, but it's something. On another note, the Chima chapter books written by Greg Farshtey aren't bad. Don't go in expecting a mature storyline, because the stories are unrepentantly childish, but they're good stories nonetheless, with an almost folktale-like quality. As a bonus, they're fully illustrated. I prefer them greatly to what I've seen of the TV show. Rooster Nui Posted July 6, 2014 Share Posted July 6, 2014 I don't own any Lego system based games, but I've seen enough gameplay of Laval's Journey to know that it does offer a lot of great gameplay and a fairly enjoyable time when playing on your first run. I guess it does give a good introduction to most characters from the first year of Legends of Chima, but I'm not exactly sure if the story of the game fits in anywhere with the TV show or if it is completely separate from it.
