I think Odahviing might be leveled. Maybe. I know he's the only one of that color and design. He, Paarthurnax and Alduin are the only ones with unique designs.I did the civil war on the Imperial side. Didn't kill Ulfric myself, but not because of any honor. As he's on his knees he tells Tullius to let me, the Dragonborn, kill him, because it'll make for a better story. I told Tullius no, I wouldn't give him the satisfaction. Felt good.

All of the talk about flying horses I've seen nothing of in the game. The only problem I have is the crashing thing - I'll be hopping around, and suddenly *CRASH* broken game. One time it was a blue screen, but all the other times it was just the game.Final Note - Finished the Stormcloak quests. I had Ulfric kill the General, since "the honor is yours". I was disappointed a bit - I wanted to see his head roll away. That's what they wanted mine to do in Helgen. <_<Who was it that used Ohdaviing in Whiterun? Try using it in the Battle for Solitude. I'm not sure which one of us killed more Imperials before I figured out where the castle was, but they were everywhere.Charred and chopped up.Side Final Note - What kind of dragon is he supposed to be? When I was trying to trap him, he did more damage than I believe the Elder Dragon who attacked me in the College did. He's also a much different color. So I don't know.Basically the question is - how powerful is he? Levelled or set?-Toa Levacius Zehvor :flagusa:

In the quest where you have to capture Odahviing, he's invincible for that part, which resulted in me dying ALOT.I also finished the main quest! I was a little disapointed with Alduin, he was so easy to kill, but I did have those Nord Heros with me.... And I talked to Ysgramor, which was neat. All those Nords were wearing very light armour (compared to me) though. And a shout to call Nord heros AFTER I get a shout to call a Dragon? I'll guess I could use indoors, but c'mon, that's a bit underwhelming.I also saw Ulfric in Sovngarde, which felt.. awkward. He seemed pretty happy when I killed Alduin..Skyrim is GOTY. No question.MTL

I used to play Daggerfall like you, But then I took a skyrim to the face.Skyrim has seriously taken the spot for best Elder scrolls game, Even better than Daggerfall! If it doesn't win the Game of the Year VGA today, I will be so ticked.

It's not better than Morrowind kthxbai. As for GOTY, I hold on to my opinion that The Witcher 2 and Portal 2 are better. (Though in the case of the latter it's difficult to compare due to different genres)-Dovydas Edited by Dovydas the Nerevarine

Skyrim just won Game of the Year, so congrats to Bethesda! Can't say I'm hugely surprised though, since both Morrowind and Oblivion won the same titles when they were released.I adored Portal 2, but it is difficult to compare since it's a vastly different game in pretty much every way. Also, I'm in love with the Nightingale armor.

Okay, I just discovered the existence of Morroblivion.*... WHERE THE FRICK IS MY OBLIVION DISK. IT MIGHT ACTUALLY SERVE A PURPOSE IN THE WORLD OF GAMING ONCE IN A WHILE.*a moderator that allows you to play Morrowind on Oblivion's graphical engine.EDIT: Scratch what I just said. It apparently uses a stupid and ridiculous system in which you travel from Cyrodiil to Morrowind by ship, and then the Morrowind plotline begins. So basically, the result is that the Champion of Cyrodiil is also the Nerevarine... just a couple of decades back, which he transported himself back through by taking a ship to Vvardenfell.Yeah, I'll just stick with overhauled ordinary Morrowind, thank you very much.-Dovydas Edited by Dovydas the Nerevarine

Lolyeah, though I might still need to reinstall Oblivion to play some moderator that allows you to go to the daedric realm of Azura.I do not understand this Fridge Logic at all. Azura is the patron--- er, matron - deity of the Dunmer, not to mention the Nerevarine's most important supporter and guide through his quest to save Morrowind. Why do we not get a moderator for Morrowind that allows you to visit Moonshadow?... Wait, I think I know where the Nerevarine went when he disappeared in Akavir.... People, it's official, he's a god. Well, a Daedra. Who are much more gods than the Divines. Also, since I've finished the main quest of Morrowind (for a second time, the first one being rather a long time ago), and made a pause in playing Skyrim, I decided to play Morrowind in a more interesting way.Example.I go to Fort Darius.... and then frickin' slaughter everyone there, before using "PlaceAtPC" in the console to repopulate it with Redoran guards. Then I realize my bounty amounts to ~9070.I quickly pause before my Redoran bros get on my bad side, again use the console to change it to 0.And then I go on my merry way.Essentially, I have a four-phase plan to free Morrowind from Imperial rule, or at least feel like it.1) Systematic assaults on forts and Imperial Legion-controlled settlements, slaughtering everything in my path that is not a civillian, before repopulating them with Dunmer guards.2) Selling that annoying Imperial woman who I had to escort to the Ghostgate shrine into slavery. Yeah, I think there's a moderator that allows you to be a slaver. I'd get it just to sell that little... yeah, you get the point.3) Leaving Ebonheart devoid of life. I don't remember any fun characters being there, besides that shipmaster who takes you to Holamayan, so I don't really care. All for the sake of freedom.4) repopulating the ancient Dunmer strongholds, eg. Andasreth. A nation needs a source of national pride.Next stop: Caldera. Or Seyda Neen. I have a personal score to settle with Seyda Neen's garrison, mainly: where the frick did my good friend Jiub go?I still haven't slaughtered Fort Buckmoth, which might seem strange at first sight knowing I'm the Archmaster of Redoran, but that's actually a plot point. Using a couple of letters I wrote in the game (yeah, there's a moderator that allows you to write), I'm trying to get across the idea that the "incidents" so far have been riots (with underground...ed Redoran support, but we don't mention that to the Duke of Ebonheart, don't we?) over outrageous behavior by the guards, while I'm, as Archmaster of Redoran, arguing with half of Vvardenfell over how in order to secure good government, they need to hand over Fort Buckmoth to me. And by saying "need", I mean, "They really have no choice in the matter. I've got Trueflame, I can take on an entire Imperial legion by myself if I want to."-Dovydas

I've had a really hard time going back to Morrowind because of combat. I still love the game, just as much as I did when I first played it all those years ago, the dated graphics don't bother me in the least. But the combat was always my least favorite aspect of it (that dice roll method drives me nuts), and after Oblivion and especially Skyrim, I have a hard time getting past that part of Morrowind. :/

That's so true, isn't it? You always get to the point that you can effectively take on everybody in the game at once, and as long as you have a healing potion or two, kill them all.Except in Skyrim they surprise by making an elder Dragon show up and remind you just how weak you truly are.Although, by myself, (just for the fun of it) I killed everybody in Windhelm, then Whiterun, and with just a little help from Odahviing and Lydia, killed them all.Ofcourse I saved before that and reloaded, but hey..Speaking of Windhelm, they still haven't picked up Ulfric and Galmor's bodies. Now that's a bit cruel. (Ofcourse I was annoyed Ulfric couldn't even bother to get out of his pajamas in that fight). I've found a re-animate corpse spell, so I might "clean up" their bodies....And Braveheart was on the other night. I'm making a William Wallace character now. With war paint and two handed swords and nord FFFFFFFRRRRRRREEEEEEEEEEEEEDDDDDDDDDDDOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM!!MTL

Well, my bud and I went to a Skyrim Midnight launch party at a local gamestop (that happened to have its own Dovahkiin Statue), he picked up the reg game, with the limited Guide book. And I got the collectors edition without a guide book, What ensued was 24 hours of nothing but skyrim, Monster, skyrim, Red bull, skyrim, Monster, skyrim bagels and pretzels, Skyrim, Redbull, skyrim, Monster, skyrim Red ring of death..... ouch. (and another bagel, eaten purely out of depression). Incredible game, just incredible. It has taken every bug and problem with the other installments of the series and added brand new ones! :spank:. But in all honesty, the ability to be the perfect thief by simply putting a bucket on someones head and hoping they don't notice is genius. Skyrim is beautiful. Thank you Bethesda.

"ARGHHHHHH"-- This particular quote was taken from a certain Benjamin Franklin after his incredible, and rather abrupt discovery of electricity. Surprisingly, he wasn't a president. However I do enjoy owning several smallish, green, Billfold sized pictures of the man.

I've also ransacked the Seyda Neen tax office and warehouse by having half the village follow me and arming them with ebony longswords, before console'ing the guards, Sellus Gravius, and that old man who wanted me to stomp on sweetrolls into attacking me.Lol, that came out the wrong way. Completely.Reasoning: isolated incident of a tax revolt, having nothing to do whatsoever with the Nerevarine being in town at the time.Okay so now I think I'll stop pretending I'm not starting an uprising, and march into Caldera with an army of hundreds of Dunmer guards and just peasants who joined the revolt along the way...... and got ebony longswords.@finishing moves discussion: all I can say is, it's amazing when you pull it off on a dragon or a giant.-Dovydas Edited by Dovydas the Nerevarine

Giants, Chaurus, and Dwemer Spiders/Spheres are the only things I haven't seen a finisher on, for whatever reason. Dwemer Centurions are pretty cool, though.

I've done finishers on Chaurus before. Battleaxe to the neck, Heck yeah!Although I've yet to see any done on Dwarven Machinations. Edited by Solare

So I'm fairly certain that Skyrim will be in my possession in a few short days. When it is finally mine, I'm planning on making a character specializing in blades and magic, so a spellsword, sort of. I like speed, acrobatics and athletics over heavy armour, and since those aren't in Skyrim I'll replace one of them with Illusion maybe and another with speech or sneak. I definitely want Smithing, cause that's just awesome. Not sure what race to use, maybe Dunmer or Nord or.. I donno.

Good Lord, that was tragic. So I'm exploring the Rift since I hadn't really wandered that area between Riften and Ivarstead yet, and I happened across one Sarethi Farm. There's a ton of nirnroot there, and apparently the place is part of that crimson nirnroot quest that I gave up on a while ago. Anyway, it's a scenic and pleasant little place consisting of only three people: two Dunmer sisters, Avrusa and Aduri, and a single Imperial guard. Guess I immediately warmed up to the place because my character's a Dunmer. So as I get there, I see the Imperial finish off a stray Stormcloak guard. Just behind the mill is a little stream. I go to talk to Aduri when an Elder Dragon flies over the hill and lands on the opposite bank of the stream, and the four of us go to work. I charge it with my Daedric battleaxe while Aduri and the guard hack away at it with a dagger and a sword, and Avrusa's kicking butt with some lightning spells. Then the guard gets eaten. I hack at its neck to turn its attention to me, and just when I think it's working, it eats Aduri. I managed to take it down after that, but it was kind of heart-wrenching to see Avrusa run over to her sister's body that was flung into the mill and start freaking out.

Oi vey, that would suck. That's why, as soon as i hear the roar of the dragon (or see it, or the music starts playing) I drop everything and save. So know matter how the battle goes, I'll abel to retry it if all my back up (which I don't usually have) gets killed or something. That's also why I prefer sword and shield to dual wielding. With a shield you can shield bash to make whatever your fighting stop whatever its doing. For instance, if a dragon starts using its frost or fire breath on you, a shield bash will make it stop. It helps alot too if your shield is enchanted against elemental stuff, like mine is (30% fire resistence!)Of course, with dual Daedric swords, I can't imagine much is living long enough against you to make you need to block! Also, has anyone else noticed how weak Town guards are? I killed all the guards in Winterhold and Whiterun for the fun of it, and I didn't even lose half health. Either that or I'm too strong...MTL

Did it back at Level 30 as a test. Got all the way to the Jarl. Only reason I couldn't win is because half the court crawled back up.It's because of their armor. If you were using an iron longsword and imperial armor, you'd be a lot weaker. If you like a race from their lore description and personal appearance, go with it. The Elder Scrolls is not a game in which you try to max your character out.*Beat*So what if only three of my skills in my first Morrowind playthough weren't 100? I killed the Enchanting Master Trainer, the Armorer Master Trainer was bugged, and the Security Master Trainer was Thieves Guild, so I had no way around it save.... grinding.-Toa Levacius Zehvor :flagusa:

The one who doesn't appear in the game at all was the Medium Armor trainer. She's supposed to appear outside of Fyr's tower, but doesn't. Suffice to say, I leveled that to 100 on my own. (The sad part is I remember that, and didn't have to look it up. :()With all the trouble we go through to get Adamantium (seriously, that ore weighs, like, 50 pounds!), I just did my own moderator to make it as good as Ebony.I mean, I supposed you can kill that guy in Ebonheart, but that takes the fun out of everything. It's more of a matter of when. Stormcloaks or Empire? What do you guys say?I initially get turned off by the Empire due to the opening scene, trying to cut off my head and all.But the Stormcloaks are racist pricks, and that's not great at all. Yet I view them as starting something similar to the American Revolution, the only similarity being they are fighting for freedom. Ok, I guess that was a bad example. But they want to worship Talos and all, they have reason for their cause. The Empire however are the reason there is a unified structure to all of Tamriel and are keeping the Thalmor from killing everyone.Or I guess I should really ask... which side is it more fun to play? :D

Empire. I appreciate the Stormcloak's short-term goal, is fairly honorable, but beyond that I can't see what they're doing as having a positive effect on Skyrim when the much more numerous and powerful Thalmor show up. Reuniting them with the Empire is the best chance to stop the Thalmor when the war starts back up, I think. And besides, I didn't fight through a ransacked city and haul my butt through demon worlds to save that Empire 200 years ago just to see it torn apart by high and mighty elves and a nutcase rebel.

Their goal is to wipe out all other races except theirs, including other types of elves. They want the whole continent to consist of nothing but Altmer, or at least have everything else as slaves at best. I think most of the elf races are cooler than the human ones, but this on top of their insufferable arrogance makes me kill them on sight.Edit: Oh, and they took credit for ending the Oblivion Crisis, which I will not allow.

I'm not even sure why the Thalmor are so bad.

They're elves. And elves aren't superior to humans.I would know. I went into a fort of about 30 of them, all wearing glass armor, and butchered every last one of them.As I've said, my ideal play would be to reunite Skyrim under the empire. However, those blasted Medes are weak rulers, not fitting for the throne of the great Tiber Septim. Thus, they are not deserving of the empire. I would have them gutted while a true Dragonborn - me - was placed on the throne. From there I would take a flight of Dragon mounted honor guard led by myself, equipped with the daedric equipment I forged, and daedric armor made for the dragons. And we would kill every last elf.All of them.I do not like Altmer. The only thing more satisfying then gutting Thalmor people is gutting two Thalmor people. In other news - I finished writing my CoT RPG based in the Elder Scrolls universe. The bad news is that it's 38 pages in MW. To put that into perspective, it took 2 posts on BZP to put up a 17 page RPG. It has 20,000 words and a bunch of pictures. More appropriately, the RPG I put into the RPG forum contest is 154 KB. This one is 3,379 KB.So.... probably not going to get entered on here, sadly. :-Toa Levacius Zehvors :flagusa:

Also, I'm on the side of the Imperials, yet plan to kill every Thalmor agent I find.

The Thalmor are so full of themselves. At the current moment they attack me on sight, at least some troops do, after just completing the main story quest where you mess around in the ambassador's party. I return the favor and kill them on sight as well.

I'm not even sure why the Thalmor are so bad. They're just the Empire with an elven government.Slightly arrogant, but the mer are superior to humanity.-Dovydas

The Thalmor are High Elf Supremacists who want to end the empire. They're pretty much racist to anything other than elves. I think that's not so appealing right away. They just act so full of themselves, annoys me whenever I have ever got into a conversation with a Thalmor agent. Also the Falmor believe they stopped the Oblivion crisis when it is the sacrifice of Martin Septim that ended it. The Falmor's supremacist ideals make them refuse the very idea that a man saved them. The Thalmor just suck, I'm gonna start attacking any of them I see and looting them.I still don't know why the Thalmor are so uptight about Talos being worshiped as one the Divines. It doesn't affect them I'm pretty sure? Somebody correct me if I'm wrong.I believe the arrogance the Thalmor possess doesn't make them superior to anyone. Sure they were owning the Empire in their recent War but... doesn't change the fact they are so easily blinded.

I'm not even sure why the Thalmor are so bad.
