Yes you do come on it was pretty big until a bunch of internal politics, loss of focus and stupid deadlines killed it.

 

Anyway I have pretty much 90% of the files we produced on my hard drive

 

So here's a .zip of them all.

 

I mean it would be a shame to let this many files go to waste, right?

 

Anyway, you'll need the program Blender to open the files, that would be available at blender.org

 

Oh and I guess I'll have to note that there's no actual guarantee that any of these files actually work in newer versions of Blender, but the backwards compatibility is generally really good.

I just checked and all the files work with the newest version of Blender.

Thanks for sharing these, some of the models are really good.

I'll be looking through my files for more stuff if demand for it shows up, I believe we had a bunch of different experimental stuff lying around that I haven't found yet.

Unfortunately, this is the fate 95% of major fandom projects suffer. Thanks for going public with what remained... you never know when something will rise from the ashes :)

So this is what happened in BNG. I don't have Blender, and my computer has trouble processing .zip files anyway (don't ask), but I expect that it's quite impressive considering your other work, Maphrox!

It's not 100% my work, it's just models I've worked on, in that I was sent models to rig and made whatever changes I felt were necessary to make rigging possible. In some cases this involved re-modelling the mesh from scratch.

Nice ! It is possible for you to upload the Toa Hagah models ? I was really interested in them back when BNG was still a thing.

 

Btw, why this project died ? I wasn't around here anymore when it got cancelled, but it was a big thing when it was alive.

Ah, it's nice to see all of this stuff again... I'll probably go mess around with some of the models after I finish off a test animation. Thanks for the nostalgia.

You guys are lucky by the way, if I hadn't done this the files would've been lost because my hard drive just died.

 

Unfortunately that does mean I can't look for files in there.
