Bionicle Characters Personality and MBTI

Okay, so I haven't been on BZPower since the really early days, so I made a new account for it. One of the main reasons I did it was because I wanted to ask you guys who may be familiar with the Myers Briggs Personality test if you could determine the types of as many characters as you can think of. I have made a list only giving types to the Toa Mata/Nuva and Toa Metru/Turaga since it is late. I will add more later. Toa Mata/Nuva

 

Tahu: ENTP, Natural leader, very in the moment, not very personable, and likes to think outside the box.

Gali: INFJ, To herself most of the time, focuses on the world around her whether it be in the moment or long term, caring for her team, and is spiritual.

Pohatu: ESFP, Very outgoing, in the present, wants to make sure everyone gets along, and likes to follow the rules.

Onua: ISFJ, Is quiet, is more of a planner for the team, cares about the members of the team, and is sometimes considered the moral compass of the group

Lewa: ENFP, Likes to be around people, in the moment, cares about the world around him, and his curiosity at times gets him into trouble

Kopaka: ISTJ, works alone, is a planner, devoted to his mission, and practical

Takanuva/Takua: INFP, often finds himself on his own, acts in the moment, cares about everyone around him, and always thinks outside the box

Toa Ignika: ISTJ, introverted, sticks to his plan, focuses on his mission over other people, does not stray from what he is focused on

 

Toa Metru/Turaga

 

Vakama: INFJ, has many internal struggles that others do not see, future oriented, fears for those around him if he knows of danger, and plans to counteract any dangerous threat that may come about.

Nokama: ENFJ, wants others to know what is going on, is very wise, cares about other people, and is a tactician

Matau: ESFP, Outgoing and cares about his looks, makes decisions based on past experiences, cares about those around him, and is very in the moment

Onewa: ISTP, thinks of himself higher than those around him, doesn't think wasting time in the future or past is practical, mission oriented and is in the moment

Nuju: INFJ, introverted, loves to look to the future more than any other toa, cares about his self development and plans out many things based on what he learns of the future

Whenua: ESTJ, known for his honesty, follows the rules, looks at the past and studies it deeply, and makes plans based off of what he learns from the past

Lhikan: ENTJ, Bold leader, thinks outside the box, duty oriented and plans his missions

Dume: ISTJ, Introverted, is rule oriented, likes to stick to the rules and is a planner

Jovan: ENFJ, leader, unwilling to let the things around him stop him from taking care of those around him, cares for those around him and plans

 

Inika/Mahri

 

Jaller: ESTJ. Great leader, tactical and serious, but with reasonable expectations.

Hahli: ENFP. Sensitive and sometimes shy, but very visionary and capable of toughness.

Hewkii: ESTP. Bold, pragmatic and hard to faze. Has clear views but doesn't try to impress them on others.

Nuparu: INTP. Innovative and flexible, but prefers to work alone more.

Kongu: ENTP. Has a serious side, but doesn't have to take everything rigidly. Creative and easy to get along with.

Matoro: ISFJ. Perceptive and strongly duty-driven, but isolated and enclosed.

 

Chronicler's Company

 

Kapura: INTP. A character so intuitive, he almost seems ominescent. He seems unaware of his or others' emotions.

Macku: ESFJ: Bold, full of excitement and ready for anything.

Hafu: ESTP. His ego is matched only by his wit and preparedness.

Taipu: ISFJ. Caring and impressionable, but also very dedicated.

Tamaru: ISFP. Lonely and a little adbandoned, but very trusting and kind.

Kopeke: INTJ. Serious and emotionally detached, with little consideration for established methods.

Norik: INTJ, Prefers to let his actions do the talking, a skilled planner and a deep thinker, leads his team in rebellion against their assigned duty

Gaaki: ESTP, Has an ego and likes to show off that she is the best Rahi catcher

Iruini: ENFJ, wanted to focus on smaller dangers and quit the team when they didn't agree

Pouks: ESTP, Loud, doesn't like sneaking around

Kualus: ISFJ, Cares about saving Rahi and is determined

Bomonga: INTJ, likes absolute silence, traps and waits for long periods of time to catch Rahi

 

Villains

 

Bahrag: ISTJ. Emotionless, stubborn and closed-minded.

Krekka: ESFP. Friendly, oblivious and easy-going. 

Nidhiki: INTJ. Calculating, decisive and ambitious.

Sidorak: ISTJ. Dedicated, duty-driven and shortsighted.

I think Lewa has definitely swapped his I for an E by the time they're in Karda Nui- he's much more sociable and loves joking with Pohatu and winding up Kopaka. Actually, changes in personality over time might be something worth looking into here. Great analysis.

No, it's the movie vs the books. In the books he was always super extroverted: always talking, joking and following others around. The movie portrayed Lewa like book Onua, Onua like book Pohatu, and Pohatu like book Lewa.

Interesting ideas! But I'd say Kopaka is more ISTP; he doesn't think outside the box much. And it seems like you typed some characters via the movies and some via the books.

 

I mainly just did them at the top of my head since it was late. All were off the books and comics except for Takua, he was based off of the Flash animations. The movies don't give much depth for the characters to be studied. Kopaka is more of an S though now that I think about it. Not really P though, as he is displayed as extremely devoted to people he works with and his mission like a J, so more like an ISTJ.

These are excellent! Although, I think Nuparu is an INTP. He's an innovator in many of the things he invents and doesn't really stick to practical methods. I'll add your list to my post, as well as the Toa Hagah.

Yeah, I've seen that topic. The elements would be more like how people can generalize someone based on their location. Obviously the individual characters have traits that differentiate from other characters of their similar element, or else they may come off like the same character.

Oh, and since their characterization varies a lot I think the Toa Mata/Nuva should have personality tables for both their book and movie portrayals.

I took the test again and got INTP over INTJ, though by a slim margin. Trying to categorize people's minds is a slippery subject, so all this ought to be taken with a grain of salt.

 

Edit: After retaking it again, I've concluded the INTP result was an outlier. Though my personality does not necessarily fit into any category, it is closest to INTJ. Am I only saying that because my favorite characters are all INTJs? Possibly...
