DeLaSouth
I think they'll get to 6.0, then make some snazzy special-edition sets & end it. I wish it'd end on 5.0, releasing some awesome/brilliant sets that everyone loves & will remember (hopefully including Tan) then a new line rises, much like HF & Bio, but with a brand new building system that shocks everyone. That way, more pieces, more diversity of building structures, and the thrill of having a new story & characters to ride along with.
Meiko
As the LEGO Group said at BrickFair 2011, they have sets planned out throughout 2013, and they will be continuing the series for many years. Also, they won't be "5.0". These next ones that we are starting to see aren't even called "4.0"―they are called "Breakout", as we know so far. GSR
HF's more episodic story naturally lends itself to a longer-term run; LEGO can focus on coming up with new sets without worrying about new customers getting bogged down by backstory. As long as they keep selling, I think we'll be seeing new HF sets for quite a while. Quote Hey: I'm not very active around BZP right now. Ehlekdude
I'd say a fair time, as the story is episodic. So you can start following it whenever you want, and that should attract new customers.
Ghosthands
I originally thought it looked like the "Breakout" sets would be the last, simply because the Heroes look all super-sized and actually pretty cool.
Akuna Toa of Sonics
I'd say for a few more years, considering how successful it's been so far. Element Lord of Milk
i'm hoping it lasts awhile, the story isn't exactly gripping, but so far the set designers have been coming up with interesting ways to utilize the new system. I'm hoping it'll last at least as long as Bionicle did(not unlikely). ~ELM~

Zarohum
I say t'll end in about 3 years at least. As someone pointed out, the story8's episodic, and Bionicle wasn't. Because of that, it won't fail for the same reason Bionicle did. Once it ends, I hope to see a series more mature than HF, but it would probably be as childish as Bionicle was in the beginning (Before the characters started dropping like flies.). GeluNumber1
Another four years would be nice. Quote Why are orange and black such a good color Combination ? Purple is pretty, and so is blue. Pink hurts your eyes, green is quite mellowing, black is very threatning, red is cool, orange is SO awesome, yellow's hard to read... But you can't see white at all! Oh, wait. I forgot brown. Here's my thoughts: If a person tells the truth and says, " I always lie," Is he lying? Or is he telling the truth? And what has a mouth, but no head, and a body, but no torso? Do caterpillars like to tend to supporting colum of stone's every need? Or is that name misleading by nature? Speaking of nature, why are the children of animals called offspring? don't many young beasts come alive in spring, and thus, should be called onspring? Heeeeeeyy..... I got the first post on a page for the first time. Who knows; it may happen again. What the... It did happen again... and again... YEAH! I'M ENCOUNTERING PROTODERMIS! Sumiki
As long as possible. I really do not care what LEGO decides to call their main product line of buildable figures, just as long as they continue to have a main product line of buildable figures. ~Xemnas~
Hopefully till the end of next year... so they could bring Bionicle back!Just kidding... the HF sets will probably continue till 2013. They'll probably just keep the regular names like "Furno" and "Breez" because they'll eventually have a 7.0 if they keep doing the ".0" thing. And "Furno 7.0" sounds really corny, don't you think? We'll be seeing HF for a while. Quote BZPRPG Profiles Ghosts of Bara Magna Profile

Studs Not On Top
I hope they continue HF for a long time. It seems like there aren't as many restrictions with this theme as Bionicle; the possibilities are endless. As long as they stick to simple storylines that late fans can follow easily, I think it'll be successful.
Aanchir
I hope they continue HF for a long time. It seems like there aren't as many restrictions with this theme as Bionicle; the possibilities are endless. As long as they stick to simple storylines that late fans can follow easily, I think it'll be successful.I would also like (and expect) for the sets to continue for several years, but of course something to remember is that even if it has fewer restrictions than BIONICLE's continuing story gave it, it could still have its own flaws that have yet to become apparent. A lot of people felt BIONICLE could easily continue for 20 years, but that turned out not to be possible. Similarly, Hero Factory might have a hard time having an enduring lifespan for reasons we are not yet able to predict. At the same time, it is promising that in some ways the theme has seemed to emulate some other successful and long-lasting toy lines in ways that BIONICLE did not. For instance, the frequent re-releases of popular characters is a lot like the Transformers franchise. While BIONICLE did something similar by introducing new forms of existing characters, it was less frequent and created less obvious visual continuity (the Toa Metru, for instance, did not immediately resemble the Turaga characters they were based on). While Hero Factory does have a continuing story, it does not have an expanding one for the most part. The plots of each individual wave are largely self-contained, with little impact on future waves besides that the heroes live to go on future missions (and thus appear in future sets). And yet the individual plots offer just enough new plot elements that they provide older fans with a slightly richer understanding of the Hero Factory universe.Web content in Hero Factory is less certain than the sets. The success of web updates has sometimes been good and sometimes been less so. For instance, the HeroPad has had terribly infrequent updates, with only three challenges so far even though a fourth was expected to tie in with Hero Recon Team and there were categories for at least nine challenges in the gallery. On the other hand, Hero Recon Team has been a phenomenal hit, even more so than the standard Design ByME service operated through LEGO Digital Designer. It's one reason I am doubtful Hero Factory will be going away anytime soon. Phauxx Lightning
Eh, I can see it going on for a couple more years, then just dying out. It doesn't have enough of a story for a BIONICLE ending.
Baron Von Nebula
As long as we don't end up with "Furno 24.0", I'm good. Peach 00
In another three years to five years, I think. It has a lot of potential, but I don't believe it'll last as long as Bionicle. Quote On the day the wall came down / They threw the locks onto the ground And with glasses high / We raised a cry / For freedom had arrived On the day the wall came down / The ship of fools had finally run aground Promises lit up the night / Like paper doves in flight I dreamed you had left my side / No warmth, not even pride remained And even though you needed me / It was clear that I could not do a thing for you Now life devalues day by day / As friends and neighbors turn away And there's a change that even with regret / Cannot be undone Now frontiers shift like desert sands / While nations wash their bloodied hands Of loyalty, of history / In shades of grey I woke to the sound of drums / The music played, the morning sun streamed in I turned and I looked at you / And all but the bitter residues slipped away slipped away...
