Hapori Tohu
It looks like LEGO has plans to change how the LEGO Club Magazine works. Starting later this year in some countries and next year in others, people over the age of 13 will no longer be able to have a subscription to the magazine. The LEGO CEE Team wants the fan community's feedback on this change, so we've started a topic to do just that. Go vote in the poll and share your thoughts on these changes - will you miss not being able to get the magazine? The Swimming Beard
Even though I don;t get or care about the Lego magazine, I still don't think this is a good idea. I'm sure many AFOls and TFOLs like to recieve the magazine, and withholding it seems pointless. Still, presumably this wouldn't be hard to bypass. It isn't as if Lego could prove someone's age, and one could simply list their age as under 13. Quote "I pitea the fool!" Cambion
this isn't a big deal to me. it makes sense, to be honest. ..although i'd probably start caring if they began releasing comics for a certain line in the magazine again

Aanchir
..although i'd probably start caring if they began releasing comics for a certain line in the magazine againAlthough we'd still be able to get those online, right? That's debatable. Recent comics connected with LEGO themes have not been published on the LEGO website (except for online-exclusive comics, or comics that appear in the instruction booklets for sets). The Super Heroes theme has been doing a funny thing this year where a two-page comic has been included in each issue of the LEGO Club Magazine along with a club code to unlock two more pages online. The magazine comics and the online comics alternate to tell one complete story, which was published as a single volume and distributed in physical form at San Diego Comic-Con. This is the sort of thing I would DEFINITELY miss if I could no longer get the magazine in hard copy. In any case, Greg Farshtey has explicitly stated on the LEGO Message Boards that there are no BIONICLE comics in the works for next year (even if he weren't writing them himself, as the magazine's editor he'd know about them). And usually if he's trying to hide something his answers are not so direct. Liopleurodon
Don't like this. Even though I don't really read the Lego magazine contents as much as before (because Bionicle ended ), I think this encourages the message that "Lego is for kids" and whatnot. Instead, I think that when a person becomes 13 or older, Lego should send out a card or something with the Lego magazine that asks if they want to continue their subscription or unsubscribe. This way, people who outgrow the magazine have an option to cancel their subscriptions, but TFOLs/AFOLs can still get the magazine.
