Popular Post bonesiii
Micro-Bionicle is a project where I take as much as I can from Bionicle, and make it in Minifig scale, or similar scales, as System MOCs in LEGO Digital Designer (Extended mode). As in the first batch, large-font links go to Biosector01 pages. See other explanations of the style at the first batch link. Everything here is roughly at minifig scale, though a few of them are really a bit bigger to preserve detail. Dagger Spider (mix of set and Inika Island Assault versions) other colors Blade Burrower other colors Tunnel Stalker tail angled like scorpion | black | other colors Rock Raptor other colors Spiny Stone Ape side view | blue | orange | gunmetal | gunmetal other angle | tan Muaka other angle | another angle pouncing version (yeah, I know the neck would really be more complex than that, but it wouldn't fit well at this scale) other colors Kane-Ra Shallows Cat Metru Mantis another angle | other shades Lava Hawk other secondary colors Takea another angle | another | front view | mouth open | swimming | other canon coloration Lightning Bug another angle | other canon colors Husi other colors Shore Turtle (previously called Hoi) other colors Makika back | orange Rahi Batch 2 Collection with Labels and Tahu scalefig | Without Labels (The "scalefigs" in this project aren't meant to be very accurate, but the following swarm villains come with interpretations of others besides Tahu. They're not really the point though, and they all have the "beetle mask" piece for lack of a good alternative at this scale.) Kanoka disks and Launchers, with labels normal angle, no labels (Made these for partial use in the Vahki models below.) Brown Vahki, with a Toa Metru scalefig (scale is more approximate here, esp. the Vahki head; its size is exaggerated compared to the body -- of course, minifigs themselves do that, so yarr) head closeup | Vahki alone | side view | both walking modes, with Kanoka disks green | black | white | red (yeah, launcher is too big...) | blue Water Bohrok, with Toa Mata (golden Kanohi version) scalefig closeup | side | back | ball mode, front | ball angle | ball side | head lunging | head lunging back | flinging brain Ice | Acid | Earth | Stone | Fire Bohrok Va back Bohrok-Kal of Sonics, with Toa Nuva scalefig and power usage illustration Magnetism | Vacuum | Gravity | Plasma | Electricity "Fohrok" with Toa Hagah scalefigs Rahkshi (of Heat Vision), three poses, with Takanuva scalefig Canon Rahkshi Colors Chart The Rahkshi in the above chart are organized according to a non-canon grouping, that I came up with for the following chart for my main fanfic series, the Bionicle Paracosmos (and Kraata color in the BP version varies by group, not individual power): Paracosmos Rahkshi Colors Chart Paracosmos Colors Table [Note: As brickshelf is currently down for maintenance, and that's where I was putting the LDD (LXF) files, I haven't yet uploaded them. Whenever it comes back online I'll try to upload the files, although I probably will only upload Heat Vision for the Rahkshi this week. We'll see about later (with 84 Rahkshi files, it's time consuming!)] Enjoy! Edit: Error notes: -Takea orange-finned version forgotten -Husi red and orange version has one eye turned dark gray on accident -flying Toa Vakama scalefig has older version upper leg coloration -Image hosting site blurrified the Rahkshi charts [FIXED WITH ANOTHER SITE] Edit: Here's the Collection files of the Rahi (no fixes of above errors yet): Batch 2 Rahi -- Basic Collection | Batch 2 Rahi -- Whole Collection And the Swarm Villains; Vahki first (and disk collection): Kanoka Disks and Launchers | Blue | White | Red | Black | Green | Brown Bohrok: Water | Ice | Acid | Earth | Stone | Fire | Magnetism | Sonics | Vacuum | Gravity | Plasma | Electricity | Va | Fohrok And Rahkshi: Heat Vision (I may upload the others as a zip or something later) Edited January 13, 2015 by Black Six 26 The Destiny of Bionicle (chronological retelling of Bionicle original series, 9 PDFs of 10 chapters each on Google Drive): Part 1 - Warring with Fate | Part 2 - Year of Change | Part 3 - The Exploration Trap | Part 4 - Rise of the Warlords | Part 5 - A Busy Matoran | Part 6 - The Dark Time | Part 7 - Proving Grounds | Part 8 - A Rude Awakening | Part 9 - The Battle of Giants My Bionicle Fanfiction (Google Drive folder, eventually planned to have PDFs of all of it)
IceDrifter47
These look very nice. I like the Muaka. You should post instructions on how to make them. Retired Po-Koro Trader
Pohatu: Uniter of Stone
The Bohrok and the Muaka are my favorites, espeically since you managed to work the neck functions of them into such a small scale! 1 I HATE SCORPIOS ~Pohatu Master of Stone, 2015
Adventurer
The Muaka in your sig caught my attention, these are really cool! They'd be great for staging certain scenes in the story at a reasonable scale and giving easier access to non-commerical set Rahi and characters etc... It'd be a dream come true for Lego to release small bags of these or something similar to the minifig ones they do at the moment. Not that that will happen but the idea is cool. May attempt to build the Muaka myself on the holidays actually if I remember, its too tempting not to. That being said I would need to acquire a few pieces or have to settle for incorrect colours hmm... Edited September 1, 2014 by Adventurer Credit to Pohuaki for the awesome banner! bonesiii
As brickshelf is now back, I've added the main LDD files at the end of the firstpost. (Some errors still need fixed but I haven't had time, and only one type of Rahkshi is there. I'll probably upload a zip file with the rest of those sometime.) 1 The Destiny of Bionicle (chronological retelling of Bionicle original series, 9 PDFs of 10 chapters each on Google Drive): Part 1 - Warring with Fate | Part 2 - Year of Change | Part 3 - The Exploration Trap | Part 4 - Rise of the Warlords | Part 5 - A Busy Matoran | Part 6 - The Dark Time | Part 7 - Proving Grounds | Part 8 - A Rude Awakening | Part 9 - The Battle of Giants My Bionicle Fanfiction (Google Drive folder, eventually planned to have PDFs of all of it)
ToaKapura1234
These are awesome (and so is the first batch) but I have two Rahkshi questions. Why are the spines not silver? And shouldn't limited invulnerability be under temporary resistance? Want to solve an exciting murder mystery? danny316p
It's a darn shame that those reddish brown plates with clips are rare/non-existent. The vertical one is only in one Minecraft set, the horizontal one has never been in a set. A few other parts/colors in the Tunnel Stalker look unlikely to me, such as the octagon thing. I take it you're building in Universe mode...it'd be nice to see some of these in the brick.
bonesiii
I have two Rahkshi questions. Why are the spines not silver?Keep in mind the canon portrayals vary. The sets are silver, but the movies established that the spines sticking out are on the Kraata. It was also the only way to show the second colors of the Kraata. And shouldn't limited invulnerability be under temporary resistance? There's no real "should" here. The categorizations are non-canon. They could be, but I didn't want that many colors for the Paracosmos Kraata, and I used the same groupings for both versions. I take it you're building in Universe modeThat doesn't really exist anymore; it's Extended mode. Click
Darn, why don't these pieces exist!? I would build almost all of these to display on my desk! It's so hard to pick favorites; the more I look, the more I like. The Spiny Stone Ape was an amazing creation (especially for its time), and you have definitely done it justice here. The Muaka is an amazing recreation that looks so much like the original, including the neck function! You used exactly the right parts for the Lava Hawk, the Takea is probably the best Lego shark I've ever seen, the Lightning Bug is brilliant, and the swarms really stand out. I'm a huge fan of the Bohrok, so your recreation really impresses me. The only problem with it I have is that the legs seem really short. The Rahkshi, while not a perfect recreation, almost improves on the original and looks awesome in its own right. I can't wait to see more. You definitely know your pieces. 1 ~ Corpus Rahkshi: Fang | Hoto | Tube | Tear | Canvas | Garrotte | Reda BZPRPG: Azusai | Mitsuri The Scarabax Library | Flickr | Deviantart
Zidonaro
Really nice. My favorites were the Muaka, Kane-ra and Shallows Cat, really nice neck there. The Rahkshi needs a more improvement tho.
Great Mask Of ????
How did you align the Kanoka disks? From what I can see, they're not attached. Nidhiki of the Shadows
Woah, these are phenomenal. Captures every little nuance of the Bionicle characters while still retaining the miniature size. If these were real sets, I'd buy them in a heartbeat. Excellent work! -NotS
dotcom
These are fantastic. The Rahi are excellent as usual, but I really have to commend how you did the swarm villains. The Vahki and Rahkshi look particularly great. I'll echo what others have said and say I wish more of these parts existed in real life...
Wrinkledlion X
Dang, Bonesiii, those Rahi are amazing! You really captured the essence of the original models. user-402520536
All of them are amazing, except I think the Metru Mantis's abdomen section is too large. With that said, you've done very well on the Rock Raptor, since the orginal's structure was so awkward. END
From the first moment I saw these I was amazed at the resemblance you got at such a small scale. Keep up the good work.

ToaDraco
I absolutely love these! The only thing about them I dislike is the use of the bug(?) piece for masks, other than that these are impressively accurate representations of their much larger counterparts. I would love to see versions of them for every Bionicle character, better yet I would love to have an entire shelf space dedicated to these Bio-minis were they obtainable! I really think you should post these on Ideas, should you feel comfortable in doing so of course. I don't think they would be against the rules but I imagine there are at least 10,000 gen1 Bionicle fans who would love to have these! Edited January 14, 2015 by ToaDraco "Avengers? Fantastic Four? Endless Sea (Alaki Nuva)
Gotta say, Bones, a lot of your Rahi look better than the canon MoCs. It is not for us to decide the fate of angels. Dominus Temporis, if you're out there, hit me up through one of my contacts. I've been hoping to get back in touch for a long time now. hiddenderek
The spiny stone ape looks gorgeous. Are these peices still available? I'd love to order them and make these for real. Edited January 14, 2015 by hiddenderek
dotcom
The spiny stone ape looks gorgeous. Are these peices still available? I'd love to order them and make these for real. The ability to order parts through the LDD died a long time ago I'm afraid (if that's what you mean) , and quite a lot of the pieces he used are in colors they have never been. I guess you could get the parts in other colors, though.
Toru Nui
My thoughts: The Bohrok Va aren't as cute when they're small. ALL of the Rakhshi powers? That's a lot of recoloring. That Vahki has a huge head. A shame LEGO doesn't make BIONICLE minifigures anymore. Otherwise you could use the proper masks for the Toa than... whatever it is you're using. DTCulliton
Just as a suggestion for batch three could you maybe create one of two things, question mark.
