How much are store display cases and stuff like that worth?

I've never seen a display in glass; only clear plastic.

As for the value, the older the sets are, generally the more they're worth. Same thing applies for rarity.

The single-set displays (ranging up to about $30 MSRP), are worth about $40-$50 to my knowledge, the multi-set displays are worth about $70-$100.

There have barely been any for sale to give it a rough price estimate. Like The Phantom Terror said, it depends on the age of the sets, its rarity, and also the quantity of sets in the case if there are even any in it. I do not think they are worth a lot because even if sets are contained, their pieces are glued together thus reducing their value. Furthermore, the sets have no instructions or original canister/box. Those plastic cases aren't particularly hard to make either. I do think The Phantom Terror's valuation is a bit excessive as there isn't much to go on with them and I do not believe a case with say two canister sets can be worth $70. I wouldn't pay more than $30 for such a case.

It also wouldn't even be worth the shipping, but that's another issue.

Wouldn't they be worth something because of the rarity?

I disagree, a store display is like a little capsule of nostalgia, and you can't make artificial nostalgia, I would be happy to pay a high price on a display, because they are really quite special.

Another terrible justified opinion by the one and only:

Ultimately, which I intended to mention but forgot to for some reason, it really does come down to how much you are willing to pay for something you want. :)

Very true. For example, I'd do anything to get a solid gold hau (except suicide or other stupid things).

I saw several multi-set ones (three canister-sized per diorama) on eBay a couple months ago and I've been kicking myself for not buying them. They were $34-50, I think.

Sadly, most on eBay now are much more than that.

Steam Name: Toa Hahli Mahri. Xbox Live Gamertag: Makuta. Minecraft Username: ThePoohster.

Wants: 2003 Jaller (from Jaller and Gukko), Exo-Toa, Turaga Nuju, Turaga Vakama, Shadow Kraata, Axonn, Brutaka, Vezon & Fenrakk, Nocturn, ORANGE FIKOU.

I got rid of my picture, are you happy?

Many times the sets inside the display have been destroyed.

They glue or melt the joints so the figures stay in one position.

Not always. I once saw a display where the Toa were in some pretty stupid poses.

A lot of the set-gluers had derpy days when it came to that. Maybe it looked better in their head than it did irl.
