Sparks flew as Kai’s blade collided with the Droid’s vicious scythe. He flipped backwards, out of its' range, then ran back in with a flurry of slices. One finally connected, and the Cyborg powered off. Kai took a moment to glance at his teammates, each fighting their own battles.

“Ninja-GO!” He yelled out, spinning into a tornado of fire. He jumped into the battle, helping to extinguish the remaining robots.

Soon the team was standing in a mess of robotic parts, a brief moment of respite. Kai looked around at them all.

Jay, Zane, Cole, Lloyd, Nya, Pixel, Sensei Garmadon. Together they had to get to the top of this tower that the Overborg had built and stop him before he succeeded in tearing the very fabric of reality.

Garmadon nodded, signalling that they had to move on. They all took off as one unit, racing against time in a desperate attempt to save New Ninjago City once again.

“Anyone else tired of this?” Jay quipped, when a shock suddenly shook the tower.

“What was that?” Cole said, standing back up to his feet.

“Pixel and I calculate an 89% chance that that was the Overborg’s machine.” Zane said after a moment. “We are running out of time.”

“Let’s go, then!” Kai said “Patience is not a luxury we can afford right now!”

They ran once more, quakes rocking the building more and more. The top was nearing, as was the destruction of all that they knew.

Finally, they made it, they kicked the door in with a smash, and Lloyd yelled out. “We’ve got you, Overborg! Surrender!”

A dark figure on top of a giant machine of some kind stood up tall, and laughed a long, maniacal laugh.

“No, I just won.”

Then a sound of lighting, a brilliant flash, and everything was torn apart.

Eight Ninja stood up in the wreckage of the top of the tower. These were not the ones that had ascended the tower, though. These Ninja were from other times, other places, and other battles. They took a second to get their bearings, then one by one they looked up into the abyss. A massive darkness hung over the tower, and then out came many other beings, falling to the ground. Some recognized, others not. They all turned with one accord, and one question was answered.

This was to be their last stand.





Ninjago: Last Stand


Ninjago: Last Stand is a team-based defense game, focused on strategic use of powers and moves to keep the team alive over the course of many waves of enemies. It is also designed to only require a single post from all players in any round.

I have honestly no clue how well this will work, so let’s find out!

Rounds:
Rounds will take ~2 days or until all players have played or all enemies are destroyed, and are comprised of 2 main phases, the Enemy Phase and the Ninja phase. Enemy Phase comes first, and has two steps: Damage and Spawning.

Damage is done by having each enemy randomly decide which Ninja to attack, hurting their target by their attack amount.

After that, more enemies are randomly chosen for spawn. (2d(number of players) +1 for amount, while exploding highest numbers. 1d100 for types)

Ninja Phase consists of each player playing in any order. Every player can do one full action and one free action per round.

Full actions are:
Normal Attack(deal your attack to a single enemy)
Use Power(consume a power to use its' effects)
Draw New Powers(fill your hand with random new powers)
Fortify(heal HP by the value(special/3))

Free actions are:
Respec Support Points(allocate support points somewhere else)
Give a Power(give a power to another Ninja, as long as they have the space.)
Discard Powers(destroy unwanted Powers)

Character Creation:
To create a character, you need to do a couple of things. Each new character has a total of 30 points to go into all the stats. The stats are as follows:

HP: This is your Ninja's health. The higher this value is, the harder it is for the Enemy to knock you out of the game.

Attack: This is how much damage you do to the Enemy with a standard attack. Sometimes can affect Powers.

Support: This is a stat designed around assisting other ninja. Basically free points you can lend to another Ninja to assist during a turn, or to yourself. Exchange rate is 2:1 to another Ninja, 3:1 for self. So you can give another player four of these to increase their HP by two, or three of them to increase your damage by one, etc. Support points cannot be re-allocated in the same place after they are lost: eg one cannot infinitely give somebody the same amount of HP points and therefore keep them from taking real damage.


Support Points are kept track of with parenthesis, like this.

HP: 8 (+5, George); Meaning George gave you an extra five HP, bringing your total to 13.

Support: 0 (-6, Attack); Meaning you used 6 of your Support to give yourself 2 more attack.




Special: This is a stat that changes how many total powers your Ninja can hold, how effective those powers are, and how many powers you start the game with. For every 3 Special Stat you have, you get another Power slot and an extra Power at the beginning of the game.

Strengths/Weaknesses:

These play into the arena system. You must choose one strength and two weaknesses. These may be any of the following elements: Fire, Ice, Lightning, Earth, Light, Creation, Cyber, Water, or Darkness.

Now that all the different parts are explained, here is the character form.

In every post you have, I ask that you include your current stats, and your current Powers and point count. That will make it much easier for other players to plan around what you have and the like.


ARENAS:

Some powers will allow for a change in arena. How this system works is simple: a change in the arena is chosen from anywhere in real life or other works of fiction, and a logical elemental affiliation is too. So, for example, fighting in the Cracks of Doom from Lord of the Rings is obviously a fire-affiliated arena, but probably isn't affiliated with poison. You get the idea.

While fighting in these arenas, those who have a strength of the same type gain an extra 12 support stats. If the arena is affiliated with a Ninja's weakness, then they cannot use or receive support points.

POWERS:

Power Name: Power Description. Percent Chance Power is drawn.

Spinjitzu: Allows for the player to apply normal damage to 3+(special/3) enemies in one turn. x%
Friendship: Allows for 1+(special/5) other Ninja to play twice in a round. 7%
Elemental Blast: Deal 1+(special/3) to all enemies. 8%
Taunt: Doubles current health +(special) for one round, and makes all enemies focus on your Ninja. 10%
Weaken: Cause an enemy to take double damage for the remainder of the round. 5%
Freezing Wind: Negate all enemy damage for one round, and keep any more enemies from spawning. 3%
Portal: Change arena. 10%
Critical Strike: Instantly take out one enemy. 3%
Healing Salve: Heal any Ninja 5+(special/2) points. 4%

These powers must be unlocked by spending the points gained from destroying an enemy.

Technoblade: The player can take over three basic enemies. They control them simply, by choosing who they attack each turn. 5% 20 Points
Elemental Blade: Can be used to double the advantage of support points from Strength-affiliation, or negate the effects of Weakness-affiliation for one round. Also gains +special/2 support points that round. 5% 20 Points
Golden Weapon: Playing 4 of these within one round kills all enemies currently in play. 2% 25 Points
Phoenix Down: Revive a player with 1/4 of their HP. 3% 25 Points

Enemies:
Old and New foes alike compete to defeat the Ninja. Each Basic(non-boss) enemy is worth one point, each boss is worth 3. Percentages are how often each enemy will spawn.

Skeleton Warrior 10%

Serpentine 10%
HP: 7
Attack: 6

Stone Warrior 10%
HP: 10
Attack: 3

Visorak 6%
HP: 5
Attack: 3
The Visorak's attack halves the base attack of the target for the next round.

Aquashark 6%

Attack: 7
Cannot go below 1 HP on odd-numbered rounds.

Shadow Knight 6%
HP: 8
Attack: 6
The Shadow Knight’s attack slows their target, keeping them from taking a free action for one round.

Blacktron Soldier 5%
HP: 15
Attack: 12
Blacktron Soldier attacks only on even-numbered rounds.

Professor Millennium 4%
HP: 5
Attack: 6
The Professor’s Attack goes through time itself, and thus any damage dealt by him is delayed by two more pro a of damage taken, and any damage he takes is delayed by one.

Iron Drone 9%
HP: 6
Attack: 10
The Iron Drone will attack both friend and foe alike in equal numbers.

SMART Agent 6%
HP: 7
Attack: ?
The SMART Agent randomly chooses any being in play, enemy or Ninja, and hacks their Attack for a turn, taking it for his own.

Skeletal Wizard 10%
HP: 9
Attack: 3
The Skeletal Wizard changes the arena randomly to one of a new affiliation when it spawns.

Evil Nindroid 5%
HP: 8
Attack: 8
The Evil Nindroid has a 17% chance to negate any damage done to it.

Bohrok 5%
HP: 5
Attack: 3
Spawning one Bohrok spawns an extra two identical Bohrok, for a total of three.

Rock Monster 6%
HP: 9
Attack: 4
Attacks two targets per round.

Bosses: 3%

Alright, SV, you are in.

 

Also nvm Voltex you did do it wrong. The total Powers value is gives by the Special stat, not by putting points directly into it. As such, you still have three extra points to allocate to the four stats. I didn't even catch that at first, haha.

Alright, screw it. We're doing this. Because of the lower number of players, I have tweaked a few things. 

 

First off, (1d(Number of Players), exploding highest number) is now how many enemies will spawn each turn.

 

As well, midgame applications are now allowed as well, but another 1d(Number of Players) will be added to the next round. Can't make adding new players too easy.

 

Finally, every current player also received 1 extra Power, because otherwise y'all will get crushed I think if I didn't give you that.

Sorry for the lack of formatting, but I decided to get off my lazy butt and continue on my phone when I realized that google sheets work for iOS now. Unfortunately, I don't know the coding well enough to do what I wanted to do soo...

Gonna use 3 Support points to buff my damage to 8 from 7, and use a Spinjitzu to one-shot everything again.

 

If the amount of enemies we can hit with a Spinjitzu is less than the number of currently living enemies, can we hit enemies more than once?

Well, because unit keeps killing my fish and that is really boring I am tweaking the spawn formula again.

 

New formula is 2d(number of players) +1. I will try and hijack a computer tomorrow to update the first post.

Alright. Basically, anytime you see (Special/3) or something like that it just means that you put in your Special stat, (in your case, 5) therefore making it 5/3 or a little more than one. We only round down so you get one extra power and one extra enemy to hit with Spinjitzu.

(Also this professors mechanics are really cheap and they are being edited now. Basically they delay damage by damage taken instead of rounds. So this Prof has 9 damage heading towards him already, and will be killed if somebody else attacks him at all. As well, if he hits you you won't take the damage until you've been hit twice. )

Sorry, but that isn't quite how it works, Luroka. The Support Points don't get exchanged one for one, but rather three for one (Three support points = one other point) if you allocate them to yourself or two for one (two support points = One other point) if you allocate them to somebody else. As such, you just have two support points left after boosting your attack. 

 

E: And on top of that  you have a weakness to this arena, meaning that support points do nothing for you. this just isn't your round, is it?
