Set Review: 70726 Destructoid

Regarding the minifigures, I should mention that even though this is the only actual set this version of Zane comes in, he's also identical to the one that comes with the LEGO Ninjago Visual Dictionary and the Ninja vs. Nindroids Activity Book. And while Min-Droid IS exclusive, none of his parts are — you can easily assemble him by combining parts from a Nindroid Warrior, Nindroid Drone, and Lloyd Garmadon from the 2012 sets. I will probably be doing this instead of buying the Destructoid set since I already have General Cryptor and will be getting this version of Zane when the Visual Dictionary I pre-ordered arrives next month.

 

It's kind of a shame I might not be getting the Destructoid, because I really love so many aspects of the design. I haven't gotten any sets with this type of disk launcher, much to my regret, and it's clever how the chariot-like cockpit is armored and decorated. Still, there are a lot of other Ninjago sets on my wish list for this year that I still haven't gotten, so if I want to keep my budget for the year manageable then I have to be a bit selective. Unless, of course, I win a copy of the set in the BZPower giveaway. That would solve all my problems very neatly.

 

EDIT: Also, for some reason the full-size versions of the images won't load when I click the thumbnails in the review, but I don't know if that's a site problem or a problem on my end.

The rotary saw aspect might work good for ribs.

My grandma once bought a Slap Chop. Needless to say, she wasn't impressed. Anyways...

This is one of the cooler Ninjago sets I've seen IMO. I probably like it so much thanks to its tank-like design.

Great review! I think I'll just get that Zane from the Visual Dictionary, instead. It's still a neat design!
