Since there is no canon representation of Pridak pre-mutation, I think his appearance is open to interpretation, especially considering the fact that LEGO is intended to promote creativity.

Probably you could just get rid of the gills and use it for a non mutant Pridak. There's nothing that says his face wasn't originally shaped essentially like that.

I'm sure it wouldn't, probably only Ehlek's was, since he was originally a water breather, I think.

Bah. I can just use Pridak's head as a replacement. Say the Takea ate too wildly and let his preys blood stain his face or something.

See, the difference is, Pridak currently ISN'T in this form. Pridak is a known character an not just dismissed as a Rahi or generic species like the Matoran would. Rahi are all different, especially in mutagenic waters such as in Mahri Nui. I'm unconvinced that all mutated Takea would end up with the same head. If I ask Greg about this his response would be, "Probably" or "It's possible", since these are the little things that no canon facts go against.

Here's an idea of what you could ask good old Gregory: Would you say the Barraki faces looked more or less like their mutated forms without all the extra mandibles, teeth and tentacles?

Just an idea! And trust me, I know how you feel, I go all OCD when a character doesn't have a canon representation in their current form.

Pridak was described in the books as having been an example of physical perfection. When he mutated, he was horrified at how ugly he had become. I would not say it is likely his shark head is prety much the same as his proper head.

Personally I've always preferred the Witch Doctor head as something that had the same sense of malice, but that isn't horribly deformed.

Yeah, it's a little weird you say everything must be canon when there are no real canon representations of the characters/creatures you are trying to portray. Don't have to be too anal about it.

It's a good thing the Piraka Fusion isn't on your list. It has an extremely obscure part: a segment of the Tahu wristwatch.

This topic reminds me I started trying to make instructions for Shadow Stealer. I obviously didn't get very far.

You could also try building some of the Matoran in MNOGII. The ones that have existing correct-color parts, I mean. I was going to do that a long time ago.

That's the point.

Maybe I should be more specific... The SETS I buy must be in their most canon form. If not, then I break them apart, and make a generic matoran/rahi something, that is possible to exist in canon.

CANON MOC

Combines the 'best of both worlds' I suppose. That is exactly what I will be doing here... Making my own "canon moc", for lack of a better term... Let me explain my self.

You see, Pit Mutagen is a funny thing, really. I doubt that every member of a species that gets mutated by it, mutates to the same thing. If a Nui-Kopen got mutated by the mutagen, and another Nui-Kopen submerged into the substance, they most likely WILL NOT look the same. As seen also, there are about 4 or 5 different variations of the mutated Takea Sharks. I think two were released in a playset, the third was a combiner of the two from the playset, and the fourth was from that comic.

So, what I shall do is create my own version of a mutated Takea Shark, because in reality, the amount of mutations is only limited by the number of Takea Sharks there are to mutate. I'll make 3.

1. The first one will make use of Pridak's head, as well as several other pieces of him, like the one seen in the comic photo above.

2. This one, will have Takadox's blue glow in the dark head, along with blue glow in the dark spines, and blue glow in the dark armor pieces, and Pridak's leg and some other pieces.

3. The third will be similar, but with non-glowing spines, and a white Takadox head.

I'll ask Greg just to be sure they are good enough canon representations of the Takea. I'll just ask "Are there any more variations of the mutated takea than what we've seen?" then add some intense reasoning, then ask "Do any GLOW!?", just for extra measure... I like glow-in-the-dark...

Done ordering parts for Shadow Stealer and Amphibax. Thanks to Shadow Destroyer for the Shadow Stealer pictures... Ironic. Why would a person whose username says they destroy shadows build one that steals them?
