I think I am going to conform to the general consensus and agree this is some EPIC work, Both the Prime single shot and the one with Grimlock are very well done and have some extensive detail. Is this the only work you have done or are there other Jewels out there?

And you are not the concept artist for Transformers... Why?

Amazing drawing!

Heheh, that's be a fun job. But I might not be good at it. I can draw things I've seen, but making my own design from scratch is entirely different.

Well, these are the only ones I still have. Used to have some others, but I can't find them.

Thanks again, all of you! Including the ones I didn't quote.

That is extremely detailed! Just make sure that it doesn't get smudged, I have had a few doodles get messed up because of that.

Any idea on how long it took you to draw this? That is a good bit of detail, and seems pretty large. How big was the paper?

It took me a few hours. As for the size of the paper, it's actually regular sized. Scanners typically make the stuff they scan appear larger on the screen than they really are on paper.

Like out of a notebook paper? Well with that being an accurate statement this just makes your skill at "very" fine detail all the more impressive. To show such detail on such a limited scale and pull it off beautifully. You by chance are not related to that guy who paints on grains of rice are you? are you the guy who paints on rice? He's got to be with the guy who puts scenes in the eye of a needle. I seen one where there was an actual camel.

Well, Xerox paper rather than notebook paper. Notebook paper has the lines and the holes, which would have kinda ruined the drawing.

No, I'm not related to that guy, nor am I him. :P

Thanks though!

Wow, crazy detailed. I like it! Most drawings I see of transformers tend to smooth the edges but I really like how you maintain the intense detail

This drawing is amazingly detailed. Every line hits its mark, contributing to a drawing I simply have to call a masterpiece.

You should try. And give us the results. If you could make original designs that are as good as that drawing, you could very well be on your way to becoming a concept artist. Already you have the capacity of being an illustrator, albeit a line-artist, with someone else then taking the colouring part, and if you could incorporate masterful originality into it... I must say, I would be honoured to witness that.

Thanks, but...I don't have any ideas at all. I could maybe get a job as a comic artist with the idea you just put forth though.

Begin with simpler things. Listen to music, look at other people's art, read stories and just generally try to really get your own imagination going. Drawing something un-original, but with slight alterations, is a good place to start if you can't think of anything you consider truly original. And then just keep going. Take already established concepts, and alter them. Originality and imaginativity are a crucial part of a drawer's skills. Being able to work around uncertainty makes for a formidable artist.

Think on this, will you? Good luck with what ever path you take.
