believe victims
A Zyglak drawn to somewhat match the silhouette of a Baryonyx. The proportions are kinda weird because I wanted Baryonyx proportions but also didn't want to depart too far from the actual model's proportions If someone hadn't compared Zyglak to Baryonyx I would never have thought to draw one like this; it loses the long spindliness of the model the way I drew it. Also the hands are garbage. Also I didn't actually color or shade it and still put a background on it. go ahead and tell me how much it sucks
Pohatu: Uniter of Stone
This is a nice looking Zyglak! I think it may have looked better if it was more upright, but I like it a lot! Quote I HATE SCORPIOS ~Pohatu Master of Stone, 2015

If it was more upright, it would have ruined my reasoning for making other stylistic changes, which is that I wanted it to look more or less like a Bionicle-ized Baryonyx, which, like most theropod dinosaurs, stood with their bodies parallel to the ground. Voxumo
I'm definitely mixed on this, while it certainly has a bionicle feel and the actual art is great, I just don't think it properly depicts the zyglak... I mean yeah it looks like a zyglak, but I just... I don't know I just don't see them as A) being able to wield spears and other crude weapons, definitely not being able to man a make-shift boat and just not being overly threatening/intimidating to most species. But as I said the actual art is great. This isn't even my headcanon Zyglak; if I drew what I thought Zyglak were like, it'd be much more lithe and emaciated-looking. This was just a Zyglak made to fill out the silhouette of a Baryonyx. Also, I completely forgot they did either of those things. The model doesn't even have thumbs; how was I supposed to know they're supposed to hold stuff? Voxumo
*laughs* Oh my god, the picture you linked to is adorable. All I could imagine was a t-rex doing something similar And you know surprisingly your lithe/emaciated look is somewhat what I imagine when I think 'Zyglak', along with having a body similar to Xenomorphs, though to be honest I also imagine zyglak as a severely under-used bionicle-species and one that deserves more recognition... so could be i'm just crazy, your choice. But really for what you attempted to do It looks good and does have a bionicle feel to it. Taka Nuvia
I actually like the way you coloured it - who says that there always has to be traditional shading and stuff. I also like the blurry background - it all works surprisingly well. Has a certain concept-art feeling about it. The design is cool, I like the mix between the organic silhouette and the obvious set inspirations here and there. As for the hands, I guess turning them around would pretty much solve the "problem", IMO. They're fine by themselves, their orientation in relation to the body just seems a bit off. They're definitely not garbage, though. [...]Well, it's not my fault you have no imagination. [...] Ohmygosh, these are wonderful, I almost like them better than the original artwork - they are so dynamic and cute. :3 Quote My art collection topic - updated! toajomo
I'm loving the baryonix twist. It's always nice to see someone else who shares my love of Bionicle, drawing, and dinosaurs. What I meant is that it looks more like a Baryonyx with Zyglak patterned skin (and some little things like the claws) than it does a Baryonyx-ified Zyglak. Aanchir
Very neat! I think I based my own Zyglak drawing on a Baryonyx back in the day, though that drawing was fully organic, and thus, pretty boring. Axilus Prime
It's a cool drawing, but it doesn't resemble a Zyglak all that much. I can recognize some areas though, so that's good. I don't really see the similarity between a Baryonyx and a Zyglak either.

Banana Gunz
As was said, this doesn't immediately strike me as how a zyglak particularly looks in my eyes, but I still love the art and the concept. People don't often experiment with different body forms, so this is very refreshing! I might be being a little particular here, but if I wasn't being this particular I could say the Baryonyx resembles a T-rex. Well, of course there's a superficial resemblance between Baryonyx and Tyrannosaurus; they're both theropods. Of course, it's far more closely related to Spinosaurus than Tyrannosaurus, but the relation is there. Not sure what you mean by leg joints; I see the same amount in the two. There's a hip joint, a knee joint, an ankle joint, and a toe joint. Zyglak just have longer tarsals than theropods, and more exaggerated proportions in general, because it's an extremely stylized interpretation of a general theropod body plan. Of course the proportions aren't going to be exactly like Baryonyx, and that was never what I was claiming. It took a lot of fiddling to get it to fit the profile. However, what it does have is a long, narrow snout, large clawed forelimbs, and a general theropod-like body plan (albeit with a vertical body to make it more humanoid.) Sometimes it doesn't hurt to relax a strict definition of what a resemblance is. Similarities might not be immediately apparent to you, but to me there were enough similarities between a Zyglak and a Baryonyx to inspire me to make this.
The Hip Historian Iaredios
Bionicle and dinosaurs... Awww Yeaah! I like the drawing for what you tried to do with it. I personally see them being more sapient though. P.S. I wanted to be a paleontologist when I was little.
