Seeing the Diemawr launching in an exoskeleton, a similar approach was taken. First, the ship took a geosynchronous orbit. However it looked, two things would be immediately apparent to anyone who saw it; first, this Syrrinx was notably shorter than most yet seen. Second, even in water, were one to compare it to Sienta's movements the first time the Syrrinx encountered the Trenuans, it was very slow. It followed the marines diligently, and was apparently unarmed; a stark contrast to a race that had before carried Chainswords to meetings. It would stop by the 'southern' IL location, survey, then go 'north' and see what was located there.OOCPower, Xom says you get a similar research advantage. Launch covers slid open, and a fountain of rocket-propelled death rose out of the Kalarii ship. The missiles would cover the thousand kilometres between the ship and the first target fairly quickly. They didn't know what it was used for at that time but they studied it nonetheless. We've lived next to one and researched it for centuries, plotting our starcharts and our astronomical data with it in mind.
