Lyichir
Do you guys call BZPower Bee-Zed-Power?I've always kinda wondered....Okay, maybe it wasn't THAT important. But I'm curious nonetheless! Anyone from "across the pond" care to answer? 3 Quote Formerly Lyichir: Rachira of Influence Aanchir's and Meiko's brother
Black Six
I've heard Canadian and Australian members and AFOLs call it that, so I would assume the same holds for other Queen's English-speaking individuals as well. believe victims
I swear I remember a poll on here a couple years back or so that asked people if they pronounced it "BeeZeePower" or "BeeZedPower" and it almost immediately erupted into heated debate over which was correct. My memory could be exaggerating things but that poll almost definitely existed and I'm pretty sure there are indeed people who say "BeeZedPower". Voltex
I am from Canada, and I have always pronounced it "Bee-Zee-Power". While "zed" is the correct pronunciation of the letter, it's such a hassle to say when it comes to acronyms. =P 2 Quote JOIN AETHERGARDE
Ballom Nom Nom
I don't see why the folks across the pond would go out of their way to use an American word (or the Aussies either, for that matter), so I presume so. ~B~

NorikSigma
Queen's english speaker here: I always use Zed elsewhere, but 'BeeZee' rolls off the tongue easier, so BeeZeePower. 1 Quote BZPRPG ARC 3 / Breaking Point Profiles
Gatanui
Zed. Zee is a new, not-right way of saying Zed.By the nature of language, a linguistic phenomenon becomes right the moment people start using it commonly. There is no "right" or "wrong" in this question - Canadians, British and Australians choose to pronounce it one way, Americans another. -Gata 7 Quote - Gata Please don't use my avatar or signature without permission, thanks! Zeddy
I technically speak "British English", but I still say Bee-Zee simply because it rolls off the tongue better. Quote [blog|Message]
Brickeens
I've always said "Bee-Zed". I remember when I was in the US and was introducing myself to people at Brickfair, I'd tell them I was a BZPower member, and a few people got confused over my pronunciation. Constructelf
Canadian here. I always pronounce it "Bee-Zee". "Bee-Zed" is too inconvenient for me. Edited October 15, 2014 by namcurtsnoC
Munty
English here too (proper English I mean, not messy American English!) bee-zed-power sounds ridiculous. Just totally wierd. So it's Bee-Zee-Power for me too. Honestly, even if it was an English website I think I'd still pronounce it with the Americanism on the Z. Also, Dragonball Zee... NB : For what it's worth I always think the alphabet sounds wierd ending with a zed. The whole thing rhymes until you hit the end and then it goes wonky with English phonics. Vee and Zee, better than Vee and Zed Edited October 15, 2014 by Munty 1 Quote Check out my Bionicle store on Bricklink here!> > > Bionic Bricks < < < Let me know if you can help me find these last few collectibles! Also looking for WILD KRAATA and a VMKK Yo!!! Element Lord of Milk
I'm Canadian and I've always pronounced it Bee-zee. In fact I've always pronounced the letter that way, pronouncing it zed always seemed needlessly complicated to me.
25K Now!
Australian guy here. I'm terribly inconsistent. Sometimes I say Beezee, but mostly I say Beezed. Quote http://vimeo.com/198967785 BZPRPG Profiles

Adventurer
Australian and I say BeeZedPower. I do feel BeeZeePower is more appropriate, but saying Zee feels mega awkward and wrong for me. Makuta Miras
English guy here. I say "Bee-Zed-Power", but when it come to the BZPRPG I just say it with a "zee". It flows better when you've got about four other letters with the same ending.
Padaster
Brit here. Yes, I do use Bee Zed power instead of Bee Zee power. I hadn't considered it until now.

Taka Nuvia
I'm not British but I pronounce it like that anyway. -Gata Same here. 'though I like the sound of BeeZeePower as well, especially since that always reminds me of "busy-Power", thus of the server-is-busy messages of the old forums... 2 Quote My art collection topic - updated! Hitoshura
Canadian here. While I use "zed" for like everything else, I tend to talk fast and therefore use "bee-zee-power" for convenience reasons when I refer to it in speech. That is, if I has anyone to talk to about it... Ayliffe
I am very British, and I do indeedy pronounce this forum's name in the way that has been previously stated, although my butler Charles has pronounced it in the terribly uncouth way that you Americans do 'across the pond'. Now please excuse me, I have peasants to shoot. Tally-ho! I apologise for any offence caused to any rich people in the UK, but you really do sound like that. Trijhak
Bee-zee-power here. But that's the only context in which I pronounce Z like that, simply because it's quicker to say. In all other contexts, I pronounce it like zed. Quote On Bota Magna, everything is about to fall apart.
Meiko
I'm rather late to this topic (like always) but I asked around Brickipedia's community (a predominantly UK-based community), and most of our British members agree "Bee-zee power" is easier and flows better than "Bee-zed power".
