Are these good books?

Is Journey of Takanuva good? I know it is early readers, but I don't know what happened in the City of Silver Pocket Dimension. I heard it has a lot of pictures.

Also, how good are Metru Nui - City of Legends (I really like the cover), The Official Guide to BIONICLE, Rahi Beast, Mask of Light, Legends of Bara Magna, and Raid on Vulcanus?

Does the Fikou have its own page in Rahi Beasts? If not that is a let down. :P

Journey of Takanuva was actually pretty good. The planet it is set on is really cool, and it has a really good lesson. Also The Official Guide to Bionicle is a very good book! I have two copies of it, and it's up in my "top three" Bionicle books. If you have any more questions, please feel free to ask!

TOGTB also has a lot of information and pictures from 2001-2003 that are rare.

Metru Nui-City of Legends is definitely a good investment. It has a lot of pictures from both the movie and the set-based CGI, as well as having a lot of neat trivia facts about the city. If I were in your shoes, I'd put that highest on my list.

Rahi Beasts is pretty neat. Most of the entries don't have much story importance, but they are really good for MOC inspiration. (Fikou is mentioned in the back of the book, but it doesn't have an official page).

The Journey of Takanuva has really beautiful artwork. I myself haven't bought it, but from what I've seen, it looks pretty cool.

My copy of The Official Guide to Bionicle has pages that are meant to be torn out (they have little notches on the side of the paper, I forget the word for it). Unless you're willing to tape them back in, I wouldn't advise you buying it.

Journey of Takanuva and the rest of the Early Reader books are actually quite fun. Great illustrations accompanying a cute story. They're filler for sure, but worth a look. They are very simple though, so don't expect anything that will expand the story too much (though it is cool seeing the City of Silver and mention of Certavus in one of the 2009 ones). Pretty cheap too, just don't know if you can find them anywhere sans online.

Metru Nui guide is amazing, really informative. Feels like a tourist guidebook to Metru Nui. My favourite guide for sure. Rahi Beasts showcases a lot of cool mocs, but otherwise is not too special. As mentioned above, Fikou is only mentioned. Raid on Vulcanus is a typical chapter book which really gives insight into the first half of 2009 and is really intense, but it is not too important in the main plot.

Legends of Bara Magna is AMAZING. Definitely recommend a purchase. The art is amazing and you get three previously untold stories in full graphic detail. It's just fantastic.

I can agree with all that was said above about the Metru Nui - City of Legends book. It has tons of cool information about the entire city and I recommend it. It was my first Bionicle book btw and im still proud it has the stickers lol.

Journey of Takanuva, I cant speak for since I don't have it. But from what I remember I did see a bunch of pretty neat artwork in it.

Rahi Beasts is also a really good read. It has many canon Rahi that I've never even seen before (up until I actually read the book).

Rahi Beasts and Metru Nui - City of Legends are the only BIONICLE books I own (other than The Legend Reborn novelization - nothing too special IMO). Both are fantastic reads!

It's got information on the Toa, Vahki, Rahi, and Matoran.

It also has really neat entries about various buildings and social structures in Metru Nui that often get left out in other books.

What  is that building on the cover? Looks like something from Big Blue from F-Zero X.

Any thing good in The Official Guide to BIONICLE?

I believe that it is one of the Ga-Metru schools, based off of the entry's corresponding picture within the book.

Most of the stuff in The Official Guide to Bionicle is just stuff that's already known, as well as having that annoying loose paper. However it's much easier to look up a fact in there than trying to hunt for it in a database like BS01 or the Bionicle Wiki, so it still has some merit.

There's a word for it, but I can't remember. It's like that lined paper you find in the spiral-bound notebooks. They have little dots on the side so they tear out easier.

Oh...

Could anyone who owns any of these books give a little mini-review of them? For some I can't find any info on.

And is the Fikou really just given a one-liner in the entire Rahi Beasts book?

Actually, it's two lines.

As for the review, I believe that examining most of the posts above will give you a fairly accurate report on the books.

Not even a picture of the Fikou? Darn...

The online pictures of the book Metru Nui - City of Legends shows a different cover than the one in the picture above. Any reason why?

Well, the purpose of the book was mainly to showcase different MoCs that were submitted to LEGO for a content so a lot of official Rahi from 01-03 has their pictures omitted.

As for your second question, I answered it in another topic. :)

That's funny. I have two copies of The Official Guide to Bionicle that are thoroughly used, and the binding is still great and not ripped/torn at all.

Hm. Consider yourself lucky. I've had to go through tons of tape to fix up my copy.
