Makuta of Time
I'm technically not a guitarist, but I do have this nice Fender Squire Guitar that I'm learnig to play with. I'm planning on playing some serious songs such as Still Running by Chevelle, Corner by Blue Stahli, One Good Reason by Celldweller, and Trigger by In Flames. I honestly don't have any advice to give since I'm just starting out. Welcome to Bzpower friend.

Johnny Truant
as far as squiers go, you cant really go wrong with a telecaster i mean if you wanna play just rock in general if you want to play rock in general but also go heavier, thats where you want humbuckers, like maybe get an epiphone SG or Les Paul Quote only in dreams. Jacks
Well, I have a bass guitar ...which I only know like 2.5 songs on. it's not even my tertiary instrument, it's farther down the pecking order than that but it's so much fun also it's the only instrument I can play late at night without disturbing my flatmates or neighbors (haven't got a bass amp so I just noodle around unplugged) Quote ------------------------------------- ------------------------------------- Rate The Song Above You

Jacks
I mean, I've already got a bunch of home recordings on SoundCloud and Youtube, but none of them involve bass guitar so I dunno if they'd be relevant to this thread at all... (plus I have no practical way to record my bass -- like I said, no amp ) Quote ------------------------------------- ------------------------------------- Rate The Song Above You

Xinlo
I'm in music college for bass guitar, but I played electric guitar for 8 years before picking up the bass. my gear is as follows: guitars: Fender Stratocaster (red, upgraded seymour duncan pickups) BC Rich Warlock (kerry king signature series) Schecter 7-string (can't remember the specific model type) BC Rich Widow 5-string bass Samick TB4 bass Amps: Line 6 Spider IV, 75 watt guitar amp Ampeg BA-210-SP, 220 watt bass amp yeah. not as good as it could be but all of it's pretty decent, and I got most for great deals. Used to have a heavily modified Takamine acoustic guitar but I sold it a few weeks ago to buy new pickups for the Samick bass. As far as songs go, I used to know tons but I've been so busy with classes and projects I've had little time to learn songs I want to learn. I can play some Styx songs though lol, and some Rush, Blue Oyster Cult, Megadeth, Metallica... Also I have currently written two whole songs (neither of which are finished just yet), one half song, a terrible joke acoustic blues song, and a bunch of 30-45 second ideas for projects that could one day be expanded into full songs. Pomegranate
I've got an acoustic-electric Fender, and I can play exactly one song: The Ballad of Serenity, the Firefly theme Quote .
