Vaalku attempted to block the attacks fro her sword with another teardrop, often getting small cuts constantly. She's trying to brutally shove him over or slam him into a wall, not just gently shove him backwards. How the heck do you block a stab from a large, jagged sword with a tiny throwing knife?
