BIONICLE.com Returns

Recommended Posts

I'm also sent to that page when I click on either of those links.

But still, I wonder why the Bioniclestory link is doing that. Does anyone else think Lego could bring back that site a part from the Bionicle.com one for other reasons? Like releasing serials again or something like that?

Everyone is one choice away from being the bad guy in another person's story.

You sure? Because both of those redirect me straight to lego.com/bionicle.

That's the point. They used to redirect to the LEGO.com homepage. Now they redirect to the new BIONICLE page, like they should.

So, they fixed a link? That's it?

Yes, that's it. That's why this story is just a blurb and not an entire story with Kanohi Nuva icon and all that. Just thought you'd like to know it. :P

It's pretty significant to a lot of people who are already accustomed to typing in BIONICLE.com rather than LEGO.com/bionicle and for a while were frustrated not to arrive at the correct page. The BIONICLE.com address has always been a redirect, it's just what address it's redirected TO that has changed over the years.

Admittedly, the news article could have been a bit clearer about what specifically had changed (i.e. that both those shortened web addresses had previously gone to the LEGO homepage, and now they go directly to the new BIONICLE website).

Fair enough.

I'm going to guess bioniclestory.com could be where the web series will air (maybe in addition to the serials)?

I doubt it. I just guess they thought it would be a waste not to use that domain, since they already own it anyway. Even if they don't actively promote that domain anywhere, that's free traffic you get.

:happydance: For the convenience!

As for the Toa/Masters' character bios, are they gonna leave it like that? I thought all those lines are meant to be separated into different lines/paragraphs.

There are no plans to continue the serials or to bring them back in any way, at least as far as we have been told. That would be quite counterproductive, actually. You don't want all the new fans to be confused by those old serials without any relation to the new story.

You can always ask for the answers to those mysteries on the lego message boards topic.  :P

Oooh. Mind share with me the link to it? It has been too long since I looked around in the LEGO message boards.

The ask greg topic- https://community.lego.com/t5/LEGO-General/Chat-with-Greg-Farshtey/m-p/6605180#U6605180

where things are left in mystery or canonized from the original bionicle storyline.  :P

I'm surprised Greg still bothers answering those questions.

Ya, this is great for less typing and less clicking. It's good to have it BIONICLE.com again but will BIONICLEstory.com take you to BIONICLE.com for now on or somewhere else later on?

We don't know but I would assume it will just redirect to the main BIONICLE site as it does now.
