Noxryn Posted November 23, 2014 Share Posted November 23, 2014 i really like the original kaukau, partially because of the goggle/breather design of it but mostly because it's translucent and i was/am a huge fan of the translucent masks (sadly i never got other copies of the kaukau from mask packs and the one i did find i turned into a store clerk because i thought keeping it was considered shoplifting when i was like... five?). but it's why i like the Nui-Rama's ruru eyes and the TNGM (i think i have two?) mask a lot. kinda also why i was interested in the clear Hau (and really think the trans-orange ones are rad) for the new line, but im not quite willing to pay $30 for the clear one, lol. Outside of the characters we already have I personally don't want to see ANY old characters return. I think it will cheapen the whole experience to those of us familiar with the original line... The Rode and Iden can work together, as the Rode allows someone to see any invisible beings, including someone using an Iden. Also, being able to tell if someone is lying and being able to fly around as a ghost are pretty cool powers.On another note, Lhikan's Hau (from the 2004 set) is just cool. I know now that pretty much anyone who touches the mask or even goes near the mask either dies or gets destroyed. Power Wise, I definitely like the Hau/Hau Nuva, the Matatu, and the Mahiki. Shielding is a great power to have, but I'd most likely wear the Mahiki if I were a toa; the way that power goes with Matau's personality is basically the same with me; I could use it for joking at times, but also to surprise my enemy.
